Restaurant was surprisingly good (hotel restaurants often don't try very hard). Breakfasts were fine, snacks and sandwiches were much better than typical for lunch foods, dinners were excellent. Beach access was great and the beach itself was wonderful -- didn't know that Sanibel had left the beaches so uncluttered with development. All staff were helpful and friendly, from the front desk to the restaurant to the pool bar to the guys on the beach. We are recommending the place to family / friends.
Poor fit of the doors to the rooms let bug in at night. Came home with many bites. We were warned about the bugs, but sealing the doors would be MUCH better.

It was at a great location with awesome views and access to the beach. There was plenty of parking and with skill we were able to get our huge truck parked safely.
The resort was very expensive for basic hotel accommodations. I suppose everything on the island is expensive, but I was really expecting more. I made reservations for a room that was $230 a night, but after all the fees it ended up being around $350 a night. We only tried to eat at the restaurant once but it was awful and we left not eating anything but bread.
