4.6 Okay
Pros: Outside pool area is good
Cons: The hotel is not a 5 star hotel , max. 3 star in europe . Staff first day was unfriendly !!!! Breakfast poor . The room is big but some scratches on the furnish. Levels like a hostel . expensive hotel .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice and large swimming pool
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Easy access. Spacious comfortable room.
Cons: They can improve on their bedding and pillows! On the edge of the race course. Can be extremely busy during race day!
4.6 Okay
Cons: The breakfast was so bad and poor that we did no go for the 2nd day and had it outside the hotel. In my 40 years of travel, these are the most terrible beds i slept in. Hard as wood, very old. This hotel should be closed.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Indoor and outdoor poor facilities.
Cons: For a 5 star hotel we would have expected a sound proof room, however this was inexistent since we could hear all kinds of noise generated from neighbouring rooms. This was not really helpful in terms of resting (which was the purpose of the holiday). Breakfast was 3-star quality, and having no bars within the hotel is a definite no-no, especially given its remote location.
4.6 Okay
Pros: It has a saouna and internal pool.
Cons: Breakfast was poor and not so good! Some places at hotel were dirty! The internal restaurant is very expensive! Employees do not speak English very well!
7.1 Good
Pros: Parking was great, they have a big area available. The swim pool was good, but closed early. Staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful.
Cons: I would not consider this a 5 star hotel (as it says). The price was high for what the hotel has to offer. AC did not work properly in the room, it was always warm and humid. The room was slightly old, and the TV was an old model. The spa area only had one jaccuzi, but could only be used until 8pm. The swimming pool bar did not have any cocktails, and the hotel itself did not have a bar opened late at night.

5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff were awesome.
Cons: No facilities! One restaurant, Buffett only, spread way to far apart, cold mostly & only two wines - red or white! Pool table in very poor shape & nothing to do if not warm enough to swim. Confusion with some areas only cash & other areas only resort card. Very isolated so hard to get around neighbouring areas & information poorly disseminated. All enquiries having to go through reception making those areas very congested, & the Italians that were holidaying their were rude, impatient and jumped lines frequently. It is an Italians resort NOT up to international travellers standards, but the staff were awesome! - friendly and as helpful as they could be. Did have a good massage at the wellness centre. Over all we did not enjoy our stay and would actively discourage travellers going to this resort.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: Resort fee very expensive
6.7 Good
Pros: Eggs had lace, hot water for tea wasn’t, coffee from instant in machines, salmon dinner very dry but I did enjoy the salad very fresh. Rooms were ok, tiny box shower. Noisy from 300 bussed in teenagers, all night. What’s not to like.
Cons: Front desk Staff poorly trained for service to customer. Restraunt staff very efficient.

4.0 Okay
Pros: Staff were very helpful and tried their best.
Cons: Way way overpriced. Junior suite at my rates you expect the best... four seasons esqu.... no where near. Understaffed. Facilities, food and wine choices all poor.... like not having a key card for my suite and having to use the cleAners physical master key.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location and Beach great
Cons: Staff disinterested Breakfast average Nothing five star about the room even after being moved to a better room following complaining No one ever asked us if everything was ok and never showed interest in making our stay a good experience. Really disappointed. Although the beach was lovely, even the beach attendant was useless. Unless you want to stay for the lovely beach our advice is stay somewhere which will be less than half the price and more accommodating
7.1 Good

Cons: No free shuttle to Ortigia (boat)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place with great beaches, yes, it has two beaches. Excellent in every respect. The first line sea view suite with balcony is perfect choice.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the swimming pool on the roof of the hotel. Also the walk into town, about 25 minutes, was just what we wanted. We enjoy the exercise. The history in Syracuse is fantastic and was what drew us there. The restaurants in Ortigia were brilliant and the wine in Sicily was a very pleasant discovery. There was also live music in two locations both worth a visit. We didn’t eat at the hotel because of the choice of restaurants in town was excellent.
Cons: There was no beach which was a draw back. But there was decking areas near the sea where you could sunbath and swim in the sea, for a price.
1.0 Poor
Cons: The staff responsiveness, Only cold water coming from shower
7.0 Good
Pros: Decent looking rooms, nice bathroom.
Cons: The hotel smells really funny, staff is not the best in the world and the price is quite high for the quality offered.

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and express check-in. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very large and very comfortable. The bathroom was very modern with all the trimmings. We took the dinner bed and breakfast option which was excellent value. The evening meal was three courses with more than we could eat. The dishes were local and very fresh. We could not fault the breakfast either. The only problem was the room was a bit hot even with the heating off. I think the locals feel the cold more than us Brits. Unfortunately when we opened the window we got the dreaded mozzies. A small problem with an otherwise excellent stay and very good value for money.
Cons: Slightly hot room
9.0 Excellent
Pros: An older building that has been sympathetically modernised. Room a good size and well equipped with hanging space, luggage rack, seating. Decor attractive. Breakfast good : fresh fruit, cold cuts, eggs, as well as the usual pastries. Coffee made to order. The hotel is on “mainland “ Siracusa, only a short walk from the bridges to Ortigia, and we found the restaurants in the area to be better in quality and value than those on the island.
Cons: Street side rooms can be noisy; take earplugs.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very good size room, historic building, renovated rooms, close to sights, easy parking nearby. Very good breakfast. We had half board and the dinner was good value.
Cons: Some attention required in the bathroom to keep standards high.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is very good, close to the Ortigia and all monuments. Catania airport bus station is just 3 minutes te foot. The staffs of reception and restaurant are very friendly and helpful. The room quite big and the bed super comfort. The wifi is very fast. I am sure will come back when I visit Siracusa again. It is already my 5th time visiting Sicily.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was excellent; very near to the bridges to Ortigia and a 20 minute walk from the archaeological park. The breakfast was fine. The room was spacious with good facilities. You can make yourself tea in the lounge area to the right of reception. [would've been good if we were told this at check in rather than noticing it at check out]
Cons: I couldn't get the aircon to work in the room. Despite reporting this to reception, the room remained too warm throughout our stay and the only way to cool it was to open the windows. But it was too noisy outside to sleep with the windows open. Also there is excessive use of disposibles. Water "glasses" both in the room and at breakfast were disposible plastic. As were most of the mugs for coffee/tea. There seemed to be a limited supply of washable crockery in a hotel that was barely occupied.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is good and near the train station and bus station. The hotel is also closed Ortigia island. The lady in the restaurant Pepise is quite friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious. The bed is very comfort and the price is quite cheap compare with in the Ortigia inside hotels.
Cons: The room is side of street is very noise and other standard room is little small.
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Charme Hotel Villa Principe di Fitalia in Syracuse, you'll be in a regional park, just a 1-minute walk from Maddalena Peninsula and 15 minutes by foot from Terrauzza Beach. Featured amenities include limo/town car service, a computer station, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Planning an event in Syracuse? This hotel has facilities measuring 215 square feet (20 square meters), including a meeting room. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good, a large selection from the buffet plus a choice of cooked breakfasts available. The waiters were extremely friendly and could speak 2-3 languages. The hotel and gardens were very relaxing - a great ambiente! We were given an upgrade from the villa to a chalet building in the hotel grounds. Indoor pool nice and warm - spa services available at extra charge. Free shuttle service into Siracusa!
Cons: If anything, the swimming pools could have been deeper. The outdoor pool was cleaned constantly (they were trying to keep it clean) but there were still some large insects in the water.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful and by far the best hotel we visited in our trip to Sicily. Superb staff. It is located outside the center in a very quiet district but it is only a 10-15 min drive by car from the main sights. I would return to it if visiting Siracusa again
7.9 Good
Pros: Huge pool. Spa facilities. In house restaurant.
Cons: Given the hotel name and some photos seen in the internet, I though we would all stay in the old villa. Actually our children (all 18+) have been hosted in a separate, modern and huge facility across the street. The hotel is more suitable for families with small children who like to spend the whole day at the pool and have a close by restaurant. It has nothing to do with a boutique hotel, which was what we were looking for.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The pool area and the pool are real great. The breakfast is expectional. Dinner is very good, not excellent but good. Staff very friendly. Order rooms in the Villa on the side. Rooms are smaller, but cost half the price, whilst you can use all the amenities of the main house.
Cons: Prices in the bar are on the high side. The service compensates that though - it is exceptional. Still.... Refrain from ordering the anchovis as a starter. For 12 € I had expected to get an exceptional composition. Instead I found 4 little anchovis plus slices of a caper on a big plate. In comparison to all the other meals, which were reasonably priced, this was a bit annoying.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location and the facilities. The food was good and service acceptable.
Cons: Nothing, thought it a little expensive
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Staff is amazing!
Cons: You need a car or taxi to get around . But so are most places in Plemmirio.. But other than that , is an excellent place to relax ! Celebrities would love it, no one would recognize them is very private.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is the perfect place for relaxation. The staff were really nice, helpful and easy to communicate. They all know good English and thus makes it more easy to communicate. The place was extremely clean and quiet, the food was superb and the breakfast to die for. I will surely go again.
Cons: The property had all the necessities and much more than anyone would expect.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A good hotel perhaps a little on the expensive side probably trading on its spa facilities
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Bit far away from Town

Cons: Receptionist didn’t speak English at all
5.0 Okay
Pros: Average breakfast selection.
Cons: Upon entering room, toilet didn't work, bathroom light switch was broken, no reception in TV
5.0 Okay
Pros: Room was cleaned daily and fresh towels.
Cons: Air condition was turned off during the night could not sleep well in. In the morning when I told reception that air conditioning was not working, I learned that air conditioning was being switched off by reception. This is not acceptable especially during the night when it is hot you can not sleep comfortable.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Room was clean and hot water was good to take shower.
Cons: Air condition was turned on and off by reception at certain hours. During my stay AC was turned off during the night (happened more than once), had to go down to the reception so that they switch it back on as it seems they turn AC in rooms off. I never went to a hotel where AC was limited for night only and turned off by staff even during the night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel 5 minutes away from the city centre. Very nice room, size was good and nice bathroom. Price was excellent Would definitively recommend
Cons: No issues
7.5 Good
Pros: The bathroom was spacious and clean. Big refrigerator. Beds were on the soft side.
Cons: The hotel reception would need refurbishing.
7.9 Good
Pros: We booked it very late, but stuff was very friendly and helpful. They found a secure parking place for us, which was very important. Room was basic, but clean and comfortable. Location was good with a car.
Cons: Nothing particular.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice pool and the breakfast was great! They also have a complementary bus service where they drive you out to a beach for the day. This was nice, since the hotel is a little far from the beach. Very nice garden. There was also free bike loans.
Cons: It was very far from beaches and any town, so you have to take a taxi to get there and we maybe got a little bored due to the lack of activities/options of going out. All the food and drink options were pricy.
6.7 Good
Pros: Beautiful gardens and nice pool. Quiet.
Cons: Not much service. second bedroom too small. Dark rooms. Offered a dinner voucher but neglected to tell us it was only for the first night.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Returning customer. Love this place! - Room: Clean, comfortable beds, spacious rooms. - Place: quiet area, delicious buffet breakfast, helpful staff, lovely pool area.
Cons: - Shower area might be considered small by some. Fine for me.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The garden, the pool(bar) and the rooms
Cons: More variety in breakfast, the food at the restaurant could have been better given the price
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Don't let the approach roads put you off -this place is a beautiful comfortable oasis. Lovely gardens and very good facilities. The staff are a real asset - professional, friendly and helpful and always with a ready smile, Don't bother dining out- the chef is talented and inventive and as a result the food is sublime and the dining room and terrace have a great ambience.
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice pool; Nice & helpful staff; Excellent breakfast; Baby crip available
Cons: The original room we got was very damp & dusty and my wife had serious problems with her allergies. The staff acted quickly and we got a new clean room which was more expensive and we had to pay extra.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding hospitality. Friendly environment for kids of all ages. Excellent Michelin star worthy restaurant in hotel. Beautiful spa. In close environment (5 minutes by car) pittoresque fish/pizza restaurants next to the sea (Onda Blu and Zio Agatino). A little further (10 minutes) Dafne's restaurant close to the Ciena River.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very pretty place with excellent location for exploring Siracusa. Great staff on reception! Mirko was extremely helpful! Can’t wait to be back!

Cons: This we already knew, so it was not a surprise. You definitely need the car to go to Siracusa for sightseeing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Quite fine
Cons: Absence of nets to the windows
10.0 Excellent
Pros: - great host (Salvatore was really awesome, very helpful, made sure we felt there like home! Always had useful hints of where to go, what to see etc. Make sure you ask him for advice, you won't regret it !!!) - I was able to park our rented car, in the owner's garage !! How cool is that ! - close to Syracuse and many tourist attractions - very clean rooms - fantastic breakfast (sometimes included home cooked stuff - was absolutely delicious) - could use the kitchen in the evenings - was able to use the fridge in the kitchen, to store some of the food I bought for taking home ! (or to cool the beer I bought ;> ) - very spacious rooms - comfortable bed - Salvatore (the owner) speaks English pretty well, so there was no communication barrier whatsoever ! Literally I loved the place. And I would give it a 11 out of 10 if I could !
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely welcoming hosts and secure parking on their gated drive. Balcony off our bedroom and very pleasant communal kitchen & breakfast room. Air conditioning was good and a comfortable bed and en suite bathroom. Great value for money!
Cons: The location is a drive into town. Not really a problem if you have a car - public car park only €1 per hour.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Salvo, our host was excellent. He was always there when we needed him, and constantly went out of his way to accommodate us. Provided great recommendations on restaurants and places to visit. An added bonus was parking our car in his indoor garage. Breakfast was also first rate.
Cons: It required a twenty minute ride to the center of Siracusa.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We spent a night at B&B Kosmos during our holiday in Sicily. Place was modern, clean, and located in a quiet neighbourhood. Salvo was very helpful and gave us all the tips about visiting the city and made our trip much nicer! Breakfast was superb with fresh orange juice he offered and figs from the garden. We will be happy to go back there again for a longer stay!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We arrived to Kosmos in the middle of the night instead of the afternoon, due to a delay of our flight, a party of 8 people and a baby, in three cars. Salvo welcomed us patiently and cordially, with a big smile. All of our rooms were spacious and spotless, which was very comforting after a very long flight. The next morning (and every morning during our stay) we were served a rich and delicious breakfast, with a variety of cold cuts, cheeses, cake and pastries prepared by Salvo's mother, fruit and loquats picked freshly from the garden by Salvo's father, and fresh coffee of all types, at our request. The property is surrounded by a well kept garden of fruit trees and herbs. Such a lovely family and a very nice place to stay!

Also with useful insights. The Breakfast was perfect and delicious, the best we have ever taste (and we travel a lot ;) )!
Cons: Since all rooms are connected with same indoor patio (very nice), it would be good, for all quests to be suggested not to use the upstairs corridor for early morning discussion, as the echo is very big. Breakfast terrace instead is amazing for breakfast and cheat chat.
7.1 Good
Pros: The hosts were really really nice. Cozy room and beautiful house.
Cons: The pool yard was for the owners only and the other yard, is not really a place where you can spend time. Breakfast was ok, wonderful sweet stuff but perhaps more salty stuff would be nice as option. Also eggs proposal was

Cons: Our room which had a view of the sea was rather small with limited space for storing clothes. The hotel restaurant opened at 8.15, which was tool late for us.

Pros: Breakfast was adequate in my opinion. The rooms are very nice and very spacious; in general the apartments are not very soundproofed, we hear the noise from the street quite easily. However, at night it was fine.
Cons: The mattress is quite hard, it was ok for me but not longer for 2 nights.

7.9 Good
Pros: Location was excellent.
Cons: Wi-Fi was hopeless ! Kept dropping out and needed to be re-set. This seemed to occur whenever the security surveillance for the car park was activated. The hosts were aware of this problem and said the problem needed to be investigated.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, comfortable, spacious accommodations with very helpful staff. Great location to explore Ortigia.
Cons: The hot water takes a long time to get to the showers.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Parking was an extra $15 but was private, secure and right next to the property behind a gate for which we were given a small remote control. The public parking was the same price but not secure. The location was excellent being close to the centre.
Cons: It wasn’t clear that parking had to be paid for and on one of the sites we researched it said it was complementary.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great central location. Easy parking. Nice staff. Beds comfortable.
Cons: Had small issue with heat. Staff did their best to make heat work but with the high ceilings it was a bit chilly.

Pros: Great location, very helpful staff, good breakfast on a terrace, all day access to the terrace. Parking near premises for extra 15 euros a day.
Cons: Wifi is very unreliable. Somewhat difficult to find the location initially even though staff sent instructions. Streets are narrow and difficult to navigate with a larger car.

7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is an elegant, Art Deco-restored property and located in the historic old part of the city. The rooftop restaurant had been added to the structure and had great views of the city and port. Our room had a seating room above the bedroom, accessible by stairs. Taking the night train from Syracuse required us to purchase part of an additional day, and the staff worked to provide an even better room.
Cons: As usual in Italy, the breakfast coffee choices were really thick instant coffee or espresso/capuccino. And the toaster didn't really toast. The biggest problem with the room, however, was the paper-thin walls requiring us to overhear every word of the loud couple arguing next door. And we could sing along with their musical choices.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Although it was for a short time , you feel welcome and you enjoyed it.
9.6 Excellent

Cons: Our room was located under the hotels restaurant and it was unfortunately very noisy in the evening.
