Mostly everythin in the Riad is OK. Attention, very good. The situation, perfect, one block from the main plaza. Nothing important
Very nice and helpful staff. Good location in the centre but way of the confusion. A great terrace with a big tank to get fresh on the hot days. The only complain was the fact that every room have a translucid curtain instaid a bathroom door...
Very nice staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and relaxed. Nice rooms, decorated traditionally and clean. Great terrace and good location.
location was good for the sights, kind and friendly staff, food was nice despite being a bit samey on the set menus but this par for the course as we ate in several hotels in fes and meknes and circumstances were similar
Good location, lovely cite less tourist orientated than the other cites we visited, basic everyone isn't trying to rip you off :P
The hotel was very convenient (edge of medina, close to parking), and had been converted in a particularly striking and elegant way. The food in the restaurant was of good quality Lack of storage in bedroom; open-plan arrangement of bedroom/bathroom; hotel does not accept credit cards
fabulous food and wine, excellent staff, great character and location, what a find! nothing
The riad war wrong marked in booking.com. It is very eacy to find if it had been marked right. You are in the senter of everything. The terrace was nice and the staff was helpfull in making our evning here nice with wine and olives. The riad is only 1 year old and felt a kind of sterile. Wery nicely designed but lacking some charme. Where charme comes from is hard to say. Maybe the staff felt like they could not relax or thy had a policy that the should be proffesjonal in the sence of not beeing personal. In a riad that would be a wrong approach in my book.
Very attentive staff. Loved the interior. Nothing really.
Booking com map indication was wrong. I had hard time to find this hotel. I felt no good smell in the room and leak water from the sink because poor drain system.
The hotel is in a garden setting and a quiet area.Staff were very friendly and helpful. They organised a tour by taxi to Volubilis and Moulay Idris. It was good value and the driver was good. Good breakfast. A couple of extra English-speaking channels on the TV would be good.
nice location to visit Medina and economic price
IBIS standard as everywhere, location great for visiting, Wifi exists in public area (at the internet page it is mentioned that it is not available)
It's the standard Ibis fare - just what you'd expect, comfortable, clean but not luxurious. The pool is great, but after 3ish it gets shaded over as the sun moves. The location is excellent - half way between Ville Nouville and the medina. Air con doesn't really seem to work - just pumps out one temperature which was slightly too high.
Location right off the medina
The guys allowed us to lave our luggages and watch over them after we checked out and use their parking lot for half a day extra. Always a nice thing. The price we had to pay was more expensive than displayed on booking.com : staff arguing that the taxes hadn'd been taken into account
I think that sunshine very nice at morning. and bed, bathroom all clean. so I satisfy all........ if I again visit to meknes, I will stay again ibis hotel. I recomened that change about hotel pic in website....because real situation more better than in website pic. but, At restaurant .....dinner is little bit salty ...^ ^
We found this hotel one of the best of the Ibis hotels.Nice and clean rooms .At first we got a room at the side of the street , but as we open the window at night we did not like that because of the noice. So we asked for a room at the poolside and we got a room overthere ,The receptionist even called to ask if this room was oké.The location is between the old town and the trainstation.Very convenient. It is easy to walk to the old centre.Further on there is free internet . Booking .com gives the price of the hotel in euro's.The hotel has the price in dirhams and convert afterwards to euro's.This means that you will be paying more for the room than the price on your reservation of booking .com .
booking process, location - near to the old city, relatively quiet regarding the location, paking facilities, nice room
The swiming pool during the summer! The hotel booking mentioned privet parking for free and the guard of the hotel insist that I had to pay. Finaly after a dialog with the car parking guard and the reception te hotel maneger told me that I didn't hed to pay, bur he never went to the guard to tell him selft, so i left with the impression that even if I was following the rules that the hotel have in the site booking.com, I was the bad guy in the movie!
The staff, both Simon and Mouna were fabulous, they couldnt do enough to make our stay the best we have experienced. We felt very much part of the family and were helped with every request, more than we could ever expect. A wonderful stay in a wonderful place with wonderful people. We would recommend Riad Lahboul to anyone visiting Meknes for whatever reason.
The terrace and main courtyard were lovely. Room was ok. It had a toilet and shower that worked and was a good size. Decor was hideous but room was clean. I would suggest haggling for a better price and using as a good budget option. I felt the owner was always trying to get us to pay for more and slightly over the odds. However, I am a pretty keen haggler so if you're happy with the costs then it's fine (it's not expensive for europeans, just in the context of Morocco.) He suggested we take a private taxi to Volubilis/Moulay idriss for the "special price" of 400 Durhams. We opted to take a grand taxi for 20 each, each way and another taxi to Volubilis for 30 in total each way. So we ended up travelling on our own terms for not much more than a tenner rather than almost 40 euros. He also pushed us into eating there when we only wanted a snack and was quite difficult about it. As with many Riads, he is out to make a profit on the side.
Very authentic. The owner taking us to his brother's carpet shop.
Staff was very nice made us feel at home was very pleasant
Food, Staff, Environment Nothing
Location. Booked room small with no seating. Fine in summer, but not in winter. Upgraded to 80 Euro room to get a sitting area. Bathroom awful (due to choice of water absorbent eatherware tiles). Restuarant cold with guests in anoraks and woolley hats. Menu limitied with daily choice of tajine or couscous. 80 euros would buy a pretty decent room in a good hotel and I feel Riads need a wake up call.
The Ryad's location in middle of Medina was excellent. It had a very strong Moroccan flavor to the decor and layout. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
breakast + roof terrace room had no outside window
This riad was beautiful and comfortable and thanks to the multiple signs also easy to find in the confusing streets of the medina. The staff was very friendly and gave us an upgrade of the room, because the room downstairs had no lock. -
great location, easy to find, friendly and accomodating staff, wi-fi, if you expect 5 stars bathroom facilities not for you
Price is not overstated! Location is near by Medina of the city - good 4 walking and sightseeing tour.(But u should know that it's just absolutely impossible 2 find the first time the location of the riad with the map on the site!! The only one way 2 find it - take a taxi - map is 2 much relative! In the reality it's located very far from railways station but according 2 the map looks like just in a few streets). Very welcome owner (I suppose hi is French) of the riad! Good way 2 save money if u gonna stay in the Riad but bad way 2 have comfortable and pleasant stay! Riad is quite small, rooms without windows (that's why everything including beds and furnishing is dump...), condition of everything is very neglected, shower is a toilet at same time and same place (just less then 1 msq! - we didn't take a shower at all because it's very uncomfortable and unpleasant), girls from the reception speak very bed English - difficult 2 communicate, frugal breakfast...
The bedrooms are traditionally furnished, they look ok, although they are quite dark. The bathroom is terrible. It is extremely small - 1 sqm for toilet and bathroom at the same time. It has a toilet, a tiny little sink and a big plastic bucket. It is completely impossible to take a shower in such a small place, maybe it would be possible if sitting on the toilet and taking a shower at the same time, but we did not want to try this out. So if you intend to take a shower after a hot day in the medina, do not come here.
Ines-Palace was a lovely riad in the old medina. The food was delicious, the bed comfortable and the service excellent. I usually prefer eating-out but consider the Moroccan food served at Ines-Palace to be better than any of the other restaurants I tried in Meknes! I liked everything and would definitely stay at Ines-Palace again.
Good location, nice room. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good. Although it was written in french on the board, we were rather surprised about the day tax per person per day. It was not explained and I don't see why it was necessary. We did not pay this at any other hotel in this way.
Staff are very nice and friendly, though we can't speak French or Moroccan. Pity that they charge us tax for our bookings, which should be already included in the rate.
good, very good
The owners are very friendly. Al looks very clean. The breakfast was great. The loctian is good. They offer a visit to a hamam. That was really great. We had a good stay in this Riad.
