My fiance and I stayed for 4 nights in a standard king room and it was fantastic! The room was nice, bed was comfortable, staff were always smiling and greeted us any time we walked by. Room was cleaned every day while we were enjoying the sites. The pool was clean and the hot tub was too. Loved the walk path to the beach. Plus the fresh made to order breakfast in the morning was delicious! We absolutely 100% loved our stay and will return soon!!
Love the location. Close to beach and stores.
Always friendly staff. Quick to address an issue I had. Large rooms. Close to beach. Had a free awesome breakfast every day. Jacuzzi did not work properly.
Not much good to tell Not clean, poor customer service, was told it was a nice place. I won't be back!!!
Interior upgrade design. . Small Starbucks. . Breakfast omeletes were great.. You can hear from your room everything that was going on in the hallway (echoed really bad)... pool was to close at 1100 but everyone getting rudly kicked out by 1015 by security. .
We liked the cleanliness of the facilities. The rooms were clean, and we liked that the floors were tile and not carpet.
nice room, staff gave us extra time to depart
Walking distance to beach. Rooms need some overall upkeep. Not as good as pics described.
Interior design great for price. Great art and atmosphere. Futon didn't was missing a leg and light switch and fan weren't working properly.
Walking on the beach at South Padre Island. We love South Padre and were excited for 4 fun days on the coast. As soon as we entered La Copa hotel we notice an odd smell then a different odor in our room. There was also hair left on our bathroom floor. The free breakfast was lousy- cold waffles, atrocious coffee, and the eggs were awful. We had to find another business for breakfast. The pool area isn’t as big as the picture makes it out to be and there was sand in the bottom of the pool. The hot tub was barely warm. The workout room had kids playing on the equipment while blasting music. The kids left but there was no way to turn down the music in the gym. Our initial room was on the 3rd floor... after dinner on our 2nd night we came back to our room to what sounded like thunderous footsteps above us. We called down at the desk to complain and found out that their special events are located on the 4th floor, directly above us, and there was a wedding going on. We had to argue but the clerk finally agreed to move us to another room on the 2nd floor. That morning we woke up to make coffee but witnessed bugs actually crawling out of the coffee maker! Last straw. We immediately checked out and asked to speak to a manager about refunding the 2 nights we did not use. The clerk apologized and said that the manager wasn't in yet but that he/she would call us later that day. We drove the 6 hours back home. That evening we hadn't heard from the manager so we called the La Copa but apparently he/she had gone for the day. We called the following day and told the clerk why we wanted to speak with the manager (to refund us our 2 unused nights). The clerk tells us La Copa doesn't issue refunds, ever. Again I asked to speak with the manager. I was then put on hold... I was on hold for 19 minutes. I hung up and tried calling back but no one answered. I called back 13 times. No answer. Then I called hotels.com. The representative I spoke with took my complaint and tried calling La Copa to resolve the issue in order to issue a refund. The rep couldn't get anyone at La Copa to answer the phone either so he was going to follow up and email me in a few days when they issue the refund. A week later I get an email from hotels.com with the following, "We are sorry to hear about the charges. As much as we want to process the refund, we were unable to do as the hotel charged the reservation for the entire stay. According to the hotel, they were unable to authorize a refund as they do not have a record that you checked out early.” (!) So La Copa claims my wife & I did not check out early, essentially calling us liars, and hotels.com doesn't do a damn thing about it. We have used hotels.com numerously but after this experience we will never use them again. Awful customer service. We have filed a dispute with our credit card to get a refund for the unused portion of our trip. Avoid La Copa like the plague, and use another online booking service besides hotels.com via kayak.com.
Room size, breakfast was great and reasonably priced, pleasant staff, beautiful and kid friendly pool, close beach access. The only negative things was that the balcony door was open when we first arrived and the tile floors did not absorb any noise from neighboring rooms.
as I've said I've stayed in three hotels here and before this one had the nicest people more convenient and best value even over the Hilton everything even the Starbucks
The first night our room flood it pipe accident, after the incident put stuff where promise to be pay for and manager puts us in a condo beautiful and free passes to the water park, free breakfast and another night for 120 in the condo . Thank you cause the staff was really good to us and I really recommend this hotel to first travelers. I would said free breakfast would be nice, also DVD player in the room.
I liked being right on the beach and the pool. It stunk out by the pool area by the bar. The beds are very flimsy and needs to be queen size the full is too small. The buffet in the mornings should be free . I spent $45 on just breakfast for me and my small child just for her not to eat but a couple of things. The rooms are not very nice. The valet never came up and got our bags after calling the front desk the morning we were leaving. My husband had to go get our car a couple of times even though we still paid for valet. We stayed 4 nights and I wasn't impressed at all. I won't be staying there anymore.
Nice views close to water. pool nice Overall not a bad stay second time staying here. Not to bad. The outside bathrooms over by beach hut near the hottub was super dirty and gross and smelt super bad those bathrooms need some serious attention ASAP. And thought it said the pool was heated. The water was freezing in the pool. Stayed in room 427 the bathroom door knob was really loose and hard to open and close the bathroom door. rust stains on the ceiling in are room as well.
i enjoyed the buffet.
I loved the outdoor pool area and the fact the beach was a few steps away. This hotel and my room was very dirty. Stuff all over the bed and the walls. The toilet was broken the first night. The balcony had a really good view but the chairs were so nasty I didn't sit in them. I only stayed here because it was right on a private beach. Not worth the money spent
The staff from cleaning rooms to pool areato front desk. Awsome in being nice and answering question The cold weather
The resteraunt staff was nice, that's about it. Day 1...Get ready to wake up early, cleaning staff was banging on the door at 9am! Nothing worked, phone was dead replacement phone was bad. Lights didn't work, needed to call maintenance twice..... 330am night 2, woke. Up to bedroom sirens! The Hotel was being evacuated!!!!! Yes! Literally! The entire hotel was herded down the emergency stairs and out into the parking lot! We were later allowed back in, it was a false alarm....apparently the maintnance on the alarm system was bad and the night humidity at the beach was too much and set off the entire system......when I later complained, I got a "were sorry" and a "there's nothing we can do about it." Not one good night sleep at this place.....super pizzed !
Comfortable rooms. Lovely view!! Is the place to go!! Restroom needed cleaning
Close to beach. Friendly staff. Nice place to stay. Room needed more cleaning & air conditioner didn't cool the room enough.
Every person who worked here was nice and helpful. It is older but well maintained. Comfy bed. Great view. Good food. Awesome pool that I witnessed cleaned every morning. Close to activities. No issues with self parking. Our room didn't have a microwave but we got one with a simple request at no extra charge. One bartender was slow.. But he could've been new or having a bad day which we all can have. So realistically nothing.
The lobby and pool area were very nice. The view from our room was very good as well. It was nice to sit on the balcony and see the ocean and pool area. The people that work the valet were great, very helpful and very sweet. The lady that works the beach renal stuff was very nice and informative and the beach was very nice with great views. The front desk staff did not seem to like their job very much. They were not rude, just very indifferent. We had reserved a room with one king size bed and got 2 full sizes beds. When checking us in they did not tell us and once we got to the room, we were very disappointed. The phone in the room did not work so we had to go down to the front desk and the girl at the front told me that they did not have any more king size rooms available and we did not reserve one. I did and I did web check in and got a text confirmation but whatever, she was not going to accommodate us and did not really care that they made a mistake. Our room was ok, it was pretty clean, could use some updating. The swim up bar was never open and you can't bring a cooler or anything like that down to the pool so you have to go into the restaurant and get an over priced drink if you are thirsty. The guy that works the restaurant bar during the day was slow and kept disappearing and seem very annoyed that he had to wait on customers. So, they lost money because if the bar staff would have been outside at the bar or if the staff inside had a better attitude, we would have spent more time and money hanging at the hotel but since it was a bother we just got stuff from the store and our cooler and went down to the beach. Not sure if you will stay at the Pearl again they have too many rules. It seems like the only time you can find staff is if you are breaking one of the rules, otherwise you can not find them.
Fantastic view along with accommodating staff made the overall experience very pleasing.
The location beachfront access The price and the bar next door placed their portable bathrooms right next to the pool so while in the pool you have to put up with the stench of portable restrooms. Very bad odors especially by the kids pool. Even though they have security guards there were still so many people who were not staying there utilizing the pool. For the near 400 dollars I spent I would have liked to not put up with those issues.
Location to beach Pool didn't seem big enough at times
Everything was more than I had expected. I am a single MOM of a seven year old son and a two year old daughter and WE had never done a weekend "getaway". WE had an AWSOME time! At upon my first attempt to check in...one of the front desk clerks was very rude. I felt belittled and not worthy of renting at La Quinta. She had a weird spelling in her name
This was our 4th trip to South Padre Island, we were married here in 2009. We have stayed here 3 out of the 4 times we came. We actually had reservations at a different hotel and I switched back to La Quinta just a few days before our trip. We had the ocean view with two queen beds and there was plenty of room for my husband and three kids ages 3-10. Kids loved the pool, it was always open, and of course the beach access. Breakfast is not in the lobby, which is actually great, but on the 4th floor in the event room and they have a great breakfast that's included! Could not say enough nice things about this place. Such a good value for the price. Wish we could have stayed longer!
This hotel is in a nice setting, across the street from nature exploration opportunities for families, and right on the beach. It features a good breakfast and free parking. It is a good distance from the main tourist traps. This was the wrong choice for a Spring Break stay with my family. It was cluttered with college students and definitely not in the condition I would expect and desire for a family stay. I felt unsafe to leave my room with my young children due to the ridiculous behavior of drunk and vulgar teenagers and young adults. The hotel is right next to a very large, open air, drunk party beach facility that plays music all night and hosts police and all sorts of things young children should not be around.
Good clean room next to the beach front. Wife uber excited about the pokestop adjacent to the room and the available Pokémon available to catch. No bacon for breakfast
Loved everything about this place except the food. Ordered a pizza from the bar and grill. Wasn't done and was over priced.
Staff were super accommodating and our room had an excellent view! Best location on the beach in my opinion, and I love that we can bring our pup!
The breakfast was great. We complimented the chef on great chorizo and eggs. The variety of food was great. The night staff was helpful and quick to respond. The hotel staff in general was very nice and hospitiable. The hotel seemed to be overpriced, for such a dated hotel. The halls had a strange dirty smell. The elevators never seemed to work. Our room was just, ok. The pubic hair all over the bathroom floor and door was pretty gross. The shower curtain was dingy and dirty. The AC didn't work properly, never seemed to cool the room. We definitely will not stay here again.
Great location on the beach. The free breakfast is awesome. The parking is terrible. The hotel common areas are kept very warm. Our room was in the 80's temp wise when we arrived. The towels are thin and rough. There is a club next door and on our last night at the hotel, the club had a Ludicrous concert until 2 AM. We heard every beat of the drums. The concert goers filled up the hotel parking lot. The hotel told us we would have to park down the street and walk back in the dark. After I refused, they had an employee move their car so that I could park int he hotel parking lot.
The cleaness and the location was wonderful. Everything was wonderful including the restaurant down stairs which delivers to the room while we humg out by the pool and we got full service
The only good thing is that the hotel is located beside the beach. The hotel Was filled with dogs that's okay if you're a dog lover, the walls of the room were too thin they kept waking us up all night.
Very spacious room. I didn't like that they didn't service us breakfast. For the cost breakfast was not included. We paided over $450 for 2 days and we needed to pay extra if we wanted breakfast. Here I thought let's not stay at a condo because I don't want to make breakfast and when I get there they tell me breakfast us extra.
The facility was well maintained and clean. The closet door didnt work well in the room we stayed in. Everything else was very good.
We stay at the Hilton every year we come to South Padre. We love it and cannot wait for a next trip. I highly recommend the Hilton. It is very clean, staff is wonderful and it is right on the beach. Love it! Nothing. Our stay was wonderful as it is every year.
Great location. Close to concert venue. Minimal driving from this hotel. treated like criminal. 2 of my sons friends visited us for 10 minutes, cost me $60. Carry coolers through lobby had to Drop cooler and show my wrist band. Ran like prison
The location of the hotel on the beach is perfect. The outside entertainment space is great for families. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The beach space that was blocked off for guests only was a wonderful way to avoid the crowded beach. N/a
The front desk staff was always friendly and gave towels without any problems. There was always a spot to park. It was clean. Most the other staff was really nice to deal with. Excellent location directly on the beach. The elevators were extremely hot and one stopped working during our visit. One female in the kitchen was rude during breakfast. I ordered an apple pie that they said would take 10-15 minutes and it took 45 minutes to arrive ! I also think breakfast should be included for the price of the rooms. La Quinta next door had free breakfast for the same room cost practically. The pillows are horribly uncomfortable.
Staff was helpful in trying to fix the issues and they were honest when the issues could not be fixed and that they did not have the proper equipment... I was told the hotel manager would contact me, and I am still waiting...
Great location Carpet throughout looked & smelled old
The pathway to the beach needed work.
Beach Keyboard didn't work for all doors
It was an amazing stay
Good location and good pool There was major construction going on that we were not aware of. Traveling with a baby, quiet nap times is crucial and the construction plus late night music by the pool (not from guests, but from the resort itself) made our stay more stressful. There were no amenities, the restaurant was a joke, we were pushed into attending a time share presentation (which we declined), there were stains on the sheets, what looked like blood stains on the couches and comforter, the maids routinely came by when our "do not disturb" sign was on the door, waking our 8 month old baby, the only parking was several hundred feet away from the hotel in a dark parking lot, and the "spa" was a joke. This is not a place I would stay at again, even with a discount. I was very disappointed, especially as this hotel is advertised as a luxury resort. It is nothing of th sort.
Convenient to the beach. This property was represented as a 4 star resort both in a ratings and price point. It was far from 4 star. 2-2.5 star would be appropriate. Facility was dated and neglected on maintenance and much of the property was in disrepair. We had to jimmy the front door with a butter knife to get it to lock at night. The door itself appeared to be either very weak or broken. While it was locked you could push the bottom of door in from the outside about 1-2 inches. Not secure. Never received room cleaning service except when we had to ask for it. Even when we asked one day they didn't show up. Only had cleaning on e during our 3 night stay. Property appears to be a half finished resort that went belly up at some point. A large open dirt area between the two towers and the parking lot appears that the final building was never completed. There was no official front desk or reception space. Pretty ghetto when you walk up. This property appears to be tailored to a college frat party more than a family resort. I would not recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice family vacation. Hope to do better for my family next time.
It was right on the beach, and the pool was nice (albeit much smaller than it looked in the website pictures). The hotel was under renovations. The front desk was hard to find and in what appeared to be an administrative office. The building we stayed in smelled like paint and was unfinished. The restaurant staff were very incompetent.
Staff is very friendly, rooms are very clean One of the Jacuzzis was not working properly and there was construction going on during my visit which wasn't a very pretty sight.
The resort was very clean and the staff very friendly. Great pool & location to the beach. The place was great The day we left the elevator broke but one of their wonderful staff helped us down with our luggage. The boardwalk going out to the beach seems to need some work with all of the wood breaking up. People could get splinters if they don't wear their shoes.
Very quiet and really nice everywhere
The pictures on the Internet are misleading. We had no idea where to park or where the front desk was because it was under construction and there were no signs to direct us. Also, we were forced to wear wristbands like we were spring breakers which was insulting. We discovered a condom on the floor in our room and the sheets were dirty. Needless to say, cancelled our reservation and did not stay here. rhis place papered to be managed by people who obviously do not know what they are doing.
The roomkey was a waterproof wristband, beds were very comfy, overall appearance was nice. My friend and I stayed here for spring break and let's just say, don't go here if you're on spring break. It's location is at least a mile from any of the party destinations, the indoor waterpark was closed on weekdays when we stayed, the outdoor park closed until April, housekeeping was lacking when they cleaned our room. Towels were still left on floor, sand was still in our beds even though sheets were made. No complimentary breakfast drove us nuts!!! We're not staying here when we go back. There were no other Spring Breakers that we saw here, just one family that happened to stay right next door to us.
Heated pool was very nice and convenient One of the elevator was not working and being on the 6th floor imagine how much time was wasted just waiting. I think I spent more time waiting for an elevator than I did in the pool! I wouldn't spend more than 50.00 if you are not on the 1st floor with a broken elevator the worst family experience I have had in 6 years staying at a beach hotel. The staff would pass by with no worries about your concern and almost laugh at all the people waiting.
Clean room nice people No elevator
Room was clean and very spacious. Had everything in the room that the website mentioned. Close to restaurants and waterpark. Loved it. Just the beds they weren't too comfy.
The price, the breakfast, the room, everything was great :) Nothing
The location is great, right in the middle of town. It was a short walk to either shore and to many restaurants. The floor was dirty...don't walk barefoot! The room smelled strongly of mildew. Visible mildew was growing behind the glass in a wall hanging. The sheets were dingy grey. The matresses were old and the box springs made loud clanging noises. The towels were very, very rough. The bar soap smelled bad and did not lather at all! No HBO as advertised. (The TV apparently did not have the necessary digital technology). I would not call convenience store donuts "breakfast". But it was cheap!
Nice size room and decent beds. Hotel was well maintained and clean. Check in and out was quick and easy. The breakfast was worse than terrible, it was nonexistent. 3 of 4 days there was nothing left at 8:30.
The room was really nice, very comfortable bed, good space. Someone smoke on the room ao wasn't smelling so good. And the breakfast is just bread, butter, ceral, juice and coffee. It's not really a breakfast.
Nothing Overpriced and rid diwn
Good breakfast, helpful staff Nothing
The remodeling of the hotel looks great!!! The room was very up to date and decorated nicely. The bathroom was very spacious and I loved the glass doors! The bed was very comfortable! I really loved the breakfast every morning. They really take care of their guests! Everyone was very polite and caring. We will definitely stay there the next time we travel to South Padre!!
Price - it was a great value with in-room refrigerator and microwave. The room was kind of small and the free breakfast was so-so.
I loved that the beach is a short walk away. Staff was helpful, and made us feel welcome. Pool was small but clean. Bed was comfy but pillows were flat and uncomfortable. Loved that checkout was at 12. Oh, and the remodeled restrooms are fabulous! (We know the contractor, he does amazing work so we look forward to returning when all the renovations are done!) Breakfast was cereal and toast and they had no milk at one point, and no one was restocking, so everyone waited. Also halls were hot and musky. But they are remodeling, so if the new restrooms are an indication of what's to come, we will be back! PLEASE CHANGE THE BREAKFAST BAR!!
yes very good thank you
Room was great, comfortable and cold just how we like it. Had no problems or issues Breakfast could've been better. Cereal and toast is not my idea of breakfast
EVERY STAFF MEMEBER SAW THEY WOULD SAY HELLO,VERY HELPFUL
Quiet and relaxlng All good
Our first night there, apon unwrapping what looked like a freshly made bed, were dirty sheets. Sand and body hair clearly visible. It was extremely off putting. I have a child and the thought of her having to use the same unwashed sheets of some stranger disgusts me. The front desk was very nice but it did take almost 20 minutes to get the fresh sheets, that i put on myself. They did offer for the staff to do it but the guy who showed up with the sheets had no uniform and spoke no English. Not a big deal, but regardless, i would have felt more comfortable with an employee in uniform or wearing at least a name badge. The front desk had also promised that our sheets for BOTH beds would be changed out the next day, which did not happen. :( We never put up the 'do not disturb' sign and were vacant most of the day. The dirty sheets and the response to the incident. The fact that you dont allow food outside the 'designated breakgast area'.
Was very happy with everything ! No complaint! Kayak set me up perfectly ! No negative review Only small complaint which is nothing but the TV remote batteries at the ramada were super low . Had to point the damn thing straight at the tv. But who goes to a hotel just to watch tv, amiright? Lol
Nothing was good so I don't want to lie. The outer appearance of the hotel was tacky and definitely not luxurious especially not compared to surrounding hotels. For the date you would expect more but I guess you're paying for "the name"? Not worth the time and the customer service is subpar as well. Just bring completely honest since reviews are important for other prospective customers
Husband and I went for our first year wedding anniversary the weekend of 9/9. It was our first time on the island. The staff was helpful with recommendations. They also accommodated special requests for extra towels.
Nice size room. Good for the price. The AC was not working that well. The room had a damp smell.
Near the beach . Continental breakfast was sub par, didn't even use it after the first day. We were given the wrong room the first night . We did get comped. But kids had to sleep on the floor. Beds were uncomfortable and floors were dirty . If we went back to south padre we would try another place.
The hotel was midway between north and south of the island so it was easy to head in either direction for some fun The walls of the rooms are very thin and the sorting breakers never stop partying. They made me sign a contract to not have more than four people in the room and not to make excessive noise but I could hardly sleep when the next room started a party at 4 a.m, with more than 10 people in the room. I called the hotel lobby but they didn't do anything about it. Its kinda hard to have fun the next day when you don't sleep the night before. My only suggestion is the hotel should strictly enforce quiet time at certain hours of the night. It would have been a better experience
The low price was good. The night staff was very helpful. The beds were hard and shower was cold water.
I wouldet know i schedueled my stay for the 27 and when i got there they said it was for the 28 so i was not able to stay there. i think that if a company is made for the pleasure of the customer they should call them and verify all the information.
Nice size room, clean. Liked the Fact Room Had A Fridge, microwave AND Coffee maker! good room for a great price Bed and pillows Weren't Very Comfortable. Bath tub had rust. I have stayed here before and beds were very cozy, so I expected the same
Everything met expectations. The room was big enough and was clean. It's not a beachfront but it's still close to the beach. We drove to the beach because we didn't want to carry the cooler across south padre drive (it was spring break). Convenient parking. The free breakfast was alright compared to any other free hotel breakfast. The lady at the front counter was very rude at the beginning, but then calmed down when she realized that we weren't crazy springbreakers, we were just there on vacation. There was also a $200 cash deposit that we weren't informed of beforehand. So if you're staying here, bring more than $200 for emergency money. The wifi in our room was extremely weak, to the point where we couldnt even connect.
It was clean with tile floors. Also the AC worked well. Nothing in particular. The room was average in most respects.
The rooms were very cold with a/c. And the staff was nice. The rooms were very nice and had a small kitchen with a bar to eat at and a stove and coffee maker and small refrigerator as well. So bring your own pans and pots if you want to make your own meals. The pool water is very very HOT feels like your in the jucuzzi and the temperature of the showers is very warm and hot there is abouslty no cold water available at this hotel. But over all it's reasonable for the price. The wifi is slow but it will do. The pillows are very small bring your own if you like pillows during the night. The breakfast is okay not all that great either. Wake up early because the waffle line is long. Only two waffle makers during the breakfast. There is not much parking either during the night. The parking slots fill up so get there before 12:00am. I had trouble opening my room door and couldn't get in I had to Jim key it and use my body weight to open the door. I hurt my shoulder doing this and drop all my things in my hand. And another thing I didn't not enjoy was that the trash cans near the hallway smelled so bad like dirty dirty garbage and crap! We had to hold our breath walking by our room! They need to remove them to another location or power wash them with bleach or chemicals.
They provided every extra accommodation I requested.
The beds and the price. Nothing really.
Tile floors, kitchenette in "efficiency" room, very clean, attentive staff. No complaints, for the price we paid to keep everyone clean and happy at the beach it was WELL worth it. I've stayed here several times while in South Padre and I've NEVER been disappointed. It's not luxury, but it's a place to shower and lay your head in a cool air-conditioned room at the beach. I don't require much else to be happy.
Went to check-in the man was rude. Kayak had used services through booking.com and it had declined a card I don't even have. I however had received a confirmation that everything was processed with my card and we were good to go. No rooms left, day of my five year anniversary and we had to quickly find a new place. I didn't stay at South Beach Inn.
The hotel looks nice from the outside and the staff I felt with, was friendly. The hotel appeals to a younger demographic who is not condcerned with sleeping or having consideration for those around them. That said, we had to call the front desk several times during our stay to advise them of the noise level our neighbors were producing at 3 am. The staff could have provided better arrangements by spacing the tenants and providing is all with some privacy. Especially since there was so few people there. The mattress need to go. There are definitely either bed bugs or grease on them and they are very lumpy. We will not be staying here on our future visits to the Island.
Location and kitchenette were very nice. We were only minutes away from the beach and other great places to eat/drink. The waffle set up made some tasty waffles at breakfast, but there was usually a line. Although the bed was a king size, it was probably the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. The shower had terrible pressure and the water had a bad taste/smell. Parking was free, but good luck fitting if you have a large truck/SUV. Before check in the hotel called me, but I missed the call. I tried 5+ times to call back to tell them I would be there later and nobody answered. Upon check in the staff told me that I missed his call and was rude when I told him he never answered my calls. I will spend more money and stay at a reputable hotel in the future.
Location was good. Beach was 5-10 minutes walk or 2 minute drive. Plenty of shops and food all around. Easy to find. Nice staff. Rooms were dirty, dusty and dark. Messed up reservations; stayed in a room we didn't book first night. Room was hot. Bathrooms dirty. Facilities equipment and supplies out in plain sight; very messy looking.
Everything was just right and cozy will come back soon! That I couldn't stay another day had to go back to work!
I liked how clean the hotel is and how courteous the staff was Parking lot is small
I didn't like anything. :-| Room didn't feel as clean as I would have liked. Noticed a beer bottle cap on the carpet upon entering the room. Gave me the impression that adequate time and attention was not given to assure the room was ready for next guest. Sink drainage gave off bad odor and shower curtain appeared old and dingy. Construction could be heard at 9 am, either in the halls or neighboring rooms. Won't be staying here again. This is an honest review from customer that booked reservation for Tues. Aug. 5, 2014.
Everything, the girls everything was perfect
Front desk clerk was awesome. Very helpful. Needs new mattresses and pillows.
Cheap and very comfortable and luxurious. Comfy beds, overall nice bathroom and restroom. Jacuzzi and pool exellent and a dock for fishing. 10/10 would recomend and come back
They called me to cancel my reservation and then the day of they called to tell me they were charging me ...total bullshit
close to the beach the beds were awful
Ive stayed before a few times and it obviously looked and felt like the place hasnt been taken care of. Hair on pillow, couch broken, lamps dirty, table's scratched, toilet wouldnt flush. Ive stayed before a few times and it obviously looked and felt like the place hasnt been taken care of. Hair on pillow, couch broken, lamps dirty, table's scratched, toilet wouldnt flush. If pictures were allowed to post here id post them; theyre saved on my phone. I will no longer consider this location.
The pool hours
I like the staff that was there The hotel did no have any over night staff none the less security. which was necessary!
Casa Bella was quaint and full of character. Family owned and operated, the staff was friendly and dynamic. The room may not have been the caliber of a Marriott or Hilton, but was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay at Casa Bella again. Although the stay at Casa Bella was enjoyable, the price was not. While I did book the hotel day-of our trip, I still feel that it was pricey. Then again, it is SPI, and Ludacris was in town.
I loved that the rooms were spacious. Staff was great, had no issues with them. I liked everything
It was ok for the location Didn't have a beach view at all or any refrigerators!
The room was spacious and the bedsheets were fresh. Great parking spots. Staff was friendly, except for the manager. Well-centered spot, near major restaurants and shopping. Parking lot was a little difficult to find. The staff was lost, they didn't know what room to check me into. Check-in was about 15 mins. No view of the beach.
The price was very fair compared to other hotels. It is on the main street so you are close to everything. Rooms were big enough for my family of 6. It had 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa and there was still plenty of space to walk around without bumping into things. Staff was very friendly (didn't catch their names). Will definetly stay there again. We found a roach in the jacuzzi and it kinda grossed us out. Pool seemed to have a little more than usual chemicals because my eyes were getting irritated (didn't stop us from enjoying the pool ,lol). The mini fridge is more like a box cooler (1/4 size of a mini fridge) Yes hallways are long and hot to get to your rooms, but in all actuality, how much time are you going to spend in the hallways on your stay? Pull out sofa mattress was worn out could definitely be replaced. No breakfast included.
The hot tub and pool was maintained very well. Very helpful staff Being in the first from on the first floor we could hear the door open and shut when anyone left or entered.
The guy from the lobby during night shift was really an excellent worker he was taking care of everyone and everything alone, from parking problems, to noisy guests. poor guy he was literally running up and down I went during high season and this hotel was overbooked. Parking was an issue, only one elevator was working (which meant waiting for over 20 min to go up or down)... we took the stairs most times there were a lot of disruptive people at night. Mostly young, drunk with loud music and singing. I was traveling with a toddler... I had a total of 2 hrs of sleep. this is what made my stay particularly awful
The whole stay was comforting and i'd definitely stay again.
The bar and restaurant are as good or better as any place on the island. All beers are $3 coldest in town and drinks are $3 happy hour and $4 regular price including topshelf. But the beast feature is Harry the bartender. Which will always make your day even that much more enjoyable. With his free appetizers and bar snacks he makes himself or just being around him. And the steak and sandwich I had were top class just like all the employees in that area. The hotel staff was terrible and they didn't protect a customer being assaulted by another man who they didn't even know was a guest or freeloader using the pool. In fact the guest left the pool area to spend the rest of the day in the room (i was the guest) while the attacker got to enjoy the rest of the day at the pool. And the staff gives you a feeling like your bothering them.
reasonable price, location is good, no luxurious hotel but if you looking for a place to sleep and take a shower, this is the place, friendly staff, and clean place. Location and friendly staff
The location. Hotel is very outdated.
The hotel is right on the beach, not a block away, not a street away, go out the back door and be on the beach. All rooms face the sides so all rooms have a partial ocean partial city view, all rooms have a balcony. The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. The price for this hotel was great, similar hotels are double and anything cheaper/similar price is not on the beach or not very good looking. Hotel has a 24 hour security guard so no need to worry about your car or safety at all. Our room had a small kitchenette with all the pots and pans and dishes you'd need with a fridge and microwave. The pool is small and always crowded. The hotel is a little dated but not bad. The walk from the back door to the beach is long and there is no boardwalk, so the hot soft sand can be difficult when carrying chairs/umbrellas/coolers. If they built a boardwalk or just put down a mat to the beach id give this place 4.5 stars!
Beach is just a small walk away It's very dated would like to see the rooms updated
Liked the fact that it was ocean front. Marina at the front desk was really nice and gave us the scoop on the area. The room had a kitchette but we only used the full size fridge. The room was a bit humid probably due in part to the hotels ocean front location. The pillows were Incredibly lumpy. Bring your own if you have a issue with lumpy pillows.
on the gulf side! Very short walk to the beach. Ocean view from every room. Room and bathroom was clean. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Only negative is that the wifi was very slow. I had faster results with 3G/4g.
How close it was to the beach and it was clean. They had no WiFi, no breakfast and the beds or pillows were comfortable!!
The hotel was nice, with balconies. It wasn't really near any bars. Being on the beach didn't offer much value as the cheaper hotels were just across the street.
The Rooms Didn't Even Have Blankets On The Bed Staff Was Extremely Rude
There was nothing to like the whole place a mess, when I got there they wanted a 200$ deposit that they did not mention about when I booked it. Everything was horrible, I dont recommend it.
Only thing I liked was the price and the vicinity to the beach access. I did like that my family dog was welcome. The bay side access was nice but with limited rooms we weren't able to stay there. The class of people here were at the bottom end. There were beer bottles left in the parking lot and cigarette butts all over the place. The small pool was completely filled with one family who was staying in one room.
decent price $30 in offseason, good size room w 2 queens, clean, young woman at front desk was pleasant and helpful no breakfast or even coffee, office was closed most of the time, even during posted office hours, you're really on your own there was some renovation work ongoing but not noisy
The place was clean and cheaper then most of the other places. They charged us 25$ because we checked out 45 min late. The check time was at 3 which made us have to sit around for a couple hours. I felt like they where trying to nickel and dime at every turn.
The stay was awesome the staff was very nice
So first of all, a booking was made for the 22nd of May. I get to the location at around 1:00pm. Check in still isn't till 3:00. But apparently my reservation booked, but my card was declined. The thing is. My card was charged and I was denied access to my room. I waited in the parking lot til 10:00 pm and was still denied. First desk lady was not helpful and rude. Second desk lady was a little more helpful. Unfortunately we still did not get a room and were forced to head home after keeping 2 young children in our vehicle all day. Worst expert ever. Will never book with them again.
It was roomy Pictures made it seem nicer, it was gross. Was not worth the price. I would not recommend this to anyone, and will not be returning
Location, conveniently next to the bay, rooms were clean and smelled clean. Older hotel, but great price. Parking was horrible.
I liked the price, the room was big, bed comfortable, and I liked the breakfast, and it was close to the beach. I didn't like the rest room, and the shower. The shower drainage wasn't working properly.
The convenient location. Ice machine available Common areas needed maintenance. Lawn was not maintained. Gate to swimming pool was locked at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Trash cans were full and the odor was unbearable. BBQ pit was full of ashes and had rotting food on grill. No sheets provided for the sofa bed. Mattress stained. Air conditioner quit working in the middle of the night. Front office personnel was not reponsive to issues. Staff did not acknowledge us or extend any courtesies. Not a good experience. I will not return
Room was clean smelled clean beds were okay The towels looked dirty they weren't white anymore
