great location, close to MRT and HSR train ,great location, close to MRT and HSR tranin AC did not cool properly, could not get room below 72 f / /22.5 C, even leaving it on all day. big disappointment for me, when it is as hot and Humid as Taipei is.
This is a large boutique hotel, so you either love it or hate it. I loved it. It does have a dark look, but the quality of the interior is terrific. The detail in the room, everything from the desk to the venting of the air-conditioning is very well done. If you like to walk around, it's a little far from major attractions. The hotel was kind enough to arrange a cab for me anytime I needed it.
Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food. Facilities - a swimming pool and a spa would be great additions
Good location to all the MAT station. A lot of restaurants are around. Equipment is old. No phone on the desk, but next to the bed. After shower, water is all over the floor - door of the bath tub cannot close. Not enough chairs for people to seat after check out - we ended up to pay $5 per person to have an exclusive room, but was so noisy due to the construction work was on going. They distributed newspaper to certain rooms, not to everyone. No enough light in the room One of the double bed is so close to the wall. Very difficult for the 2nd guest to get off the bed.
Have stayed here 3 times this year and have always found the staff courteous and helpful.
location, service, professional attitude nothing
Location was great, able to walk to so many things and taxis were cheap to travel anywhere a little further away. Room was very large in size (we did however receive an upgrade).
Very comfortable room The wrong English spelling on the welcome card looked very unprofessional for a 4 or 5 star hotel
Great location, Large room with twin bed,
Location was the only thing I liked. Looked totally different from the pictures on the website. The air conditoning was terrible. The room was cool but humid and sticky during the entire stay. Horrible.
connected to main train station and malls, street food outside hotel, comfortable bed Cold room, heater not working well
services the lack of facilities and choice of dinning places; expensive telecommunication and IT services
Close to public transport. But the toilet can keep more close, we saw a big insects on our toothbrush when we back to the holel room. Same as above.
I like the convenience of the connection of the train station which can take you anywhere you want and also the nearby amenities and shopping area.
A perfect location - close to the shopping area and across the main train station. Expensive
I had a fantastic experience at Hotel Nikko. The location is right next to subway, and there are many high-end boutique stores, Gucci and Louis Vuitton next to the hotel. The breakfast was excellent with Western, Chinese and Japanese food varieties. The carpet in the room is dated and could be replaced. But nothing else can be complained.
I really enjoyed the beauty of the hotel. Everything was very nice and the staff was excellent. I was surprised by the low price considering my pleasent stay. I was very satisfied. The breakfast was good but could have been better. Slight mold around the tub and shower. The walls were thin so I could hear the people a room over very clearly.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was big. The room had some flaws, e.g. a cigarette burn in a chair, a hole in the floor, scuff marks on the furniture, a dingy-looking bathtub mat, etc. Everything's functional, but the appearance leaves a bit to be desired. I'd say it's pushing it to call this a 4-star hotel. Maybe more like 3-stars.
Spacious and comfy. Good value for money.
Fantastic location--can access Red and Green MRT lines in <1 minute. Even with small children in tow one can access one of the best Night Markets in <15 minutes on foot. Very well appointed--nice fixtures, tile work, and Japanese-style robotic toilet with temperature controlled toilet seat and self-raising lid. Good buffet style breakfast. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating of our two toddlers, despite our impression the hotel is aimed at adult business travelers. Remote control for curtains--didn't work, but since motorized system was installed, hard to open curtains by hand. Brightest light level in room--still somewhat dark. Overall aesthetic for entire hotel is "lounge". Low light levels, sleek, dark marble, and clean lines.
Jetted tub with TV, free minibar, tasty and free breakfast buffet with espresso, central location, free wi-fi, gym, new building. it's 800m to the nearest subway – not far enough to take a cab, but not close enough to walk with lots of luggage.
Nice hotel, basically in the middle of the red light district :) The staff was superb... I can't even describe how helpful they were, and how they went out of their way to help me even with little trifles. There were some corners in the room that had never seen a vacuum cleaner.
