10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was absolutely wonderful! There were lots of delicious choices plus the tables were beautifully set and the music was lovely! The staff was wonderfully welcoming and helpful. The room where breakfast was served offered a lovely panoramic view of the surroundings given that one side of the room was constructed entirely of windows. We would definitely stay again.
Cons: A quality coffeemaker with coffee would have been a welcome addition to provide evening coffee in the room. Since the hotel is a bit of a walk to any restaurants, it's difficult to find a cup of coffee in the evening.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Able to relax has soon has you arrive, you are greeted with smiles and help with luggage. Martin and Gerrard make your stay enjoyable,relaxing...many thanks. The room is always clean and fresh, presentation top marks. Breakfast is well presented and plenty of choice, fresh fruit salad is the best we have had in Germany . The village is lovely to walk around although this year the weather was not so good to us. All the resturants serve very tasty meals all different in their own way ,very friendly.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very comfortable with some seating and a balcony. The room and the house were immaculately clean and well-kept. The furnishings etc. were of good quality. The spacious bathroom exceeded our expectations and had a bath tub and even a bath salt mix on offer (not all rooms have a bath tub). The breakfast was a adequate. You also got an omelette or fried eggs made to order. The car park was big enough. The sound insulation seemed very good.
Cons: There was only one type of cheese on offer which can get a bit boring for vegetarians if you stay several nights. I'm quite sure that the staff would have offered more options if requested.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely welcoming and very flexible (we arrived later than planned) but more than that, we had such a friendly reception. it was as if we were old friends. This is a place that we will want to go back to again.
Cons: Only that the Restaurant is temporarily closed but we fully understand why and to be honest there is so much choice locally for dinner that it was never a problem.

Pros: The hotel has no staff once all guests are checked in, in our case after 4pm. They can be reached by intercom but we didn’t want to worry them for small requests. Eg. no tea or coffee making facilities. We were asked to settle our account at 9 am during breakfast so the management could leave.

Pros: Comfortable rooms and good brekky. Good location for exploring the local area. Car essential for access as it is too far to walk from the main village.

In direct vicinity of the hotel you find excellent opportunities for leisure and sports: The Black Forest with its magnificent forests and hills start right at your doorstep. If you rather relax, just stay in our garden and let us spoil you. "Petite but exquisite" is the motto of our 4-star hotel.

Pros: The service was exceptional! We have a dog and an 8 month old baby girl and we were welcomed and very comfortable. The breakfast was perfect with delicious fresh breads and jams. The owners are fantastic and really went out of their way to ensure we were well taken care of. The location was also perfect for us because we like to hike. The more touristy town of Triberg was only a short 10 minute drive so you kind of have the best of both worlds. Definitely recommend this hotel for anyone trying to see the black forest!

The room was clean and an extra bed was made for our son. We had our dog with us and our room had a private entrance. The room was spacious and nicely decorated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing about this hotel is great. Location food staff Rooms brilliant
Cons: It’s not closer
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This was an authentic Black Forest Chalet! The rooms were huge! My room had a bedroom, living room, bathroom and a little reading corner with an outside entrance. The bedroom had a door that opened onto a balcony. I loved the wood panelling, and the alpine decor. The breakfast was wonderful! Each room had a binder that had information about the area, including hospitals, doctors, tailors, and laundry services. There was an indoor pool and a sauna.
Cons: There was no wifi code in our room, and the information folder said if we needed to use the internet, there was a laptop by the front desk. I learned on check-out, however, they do offer wifi, but the process was so difficult I was not able to connect.

6.8 Good
Pros: Bed was cosy, quiet accomodation, absolutely clean, nice sight at the park nearby
Cons: I didn't like how the hosts spoke about other guests. It seemed for me like the hosts want to have the attention of the guests. It should be contrary.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Host was very friendly and accommodating. Room was spotless and bed was comfortable. Bathroom excellent and clean. House and area is very quiet which enabled us to have a good night's rest. Breakfast was more than enough and fresh with a good variety.
Cons: Nothing. Host was friendly. Room and bed comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Property was located with easy access even for large van. Service was very good at restaurant and the food was excellent. Rooms were very clean and we also stayed partial in the annex building in a full apartment which was good for our large group.
Cons: WiFi did not work (or at least we could not figure it out) in annex building but it was not an issue .
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Team are super friendly. From the minute we arrived to our departure. Nice international mix staying and also a lot of locals came to eat. Really good regional cooking. Very spacious room, great bed, super shower. Very tasteful contemporary decoration of the restaurant complementing the traditional style. Quite street, great access to all the walking trails, free parking and only a few minutes from the train station on foot.
Cons: The roof terrace is good but an upgrade would be great. Access to the garden to sit and have a drink would be nice. Should continue to upgrade over time. Would be nice to charge dinner to room rather than paying per meal. Have to go back soon.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The stay was not pleasant at all due to incident detailed below.
Cons: The owner overcharged us, and even made us pay before spending the night in the hotel (all other hotels in this holiday charged at check-out as customary). Booking.com finally reimbursed us the extra charge confirming there was wrongdoing by the owner. It is rare for me to give a bad review (check the other hotels we stayed in, please), but in this case the owner tried to bend the rules to his advantage. I had booked a double room for 1 person by mistake, but the booking.com price for my room was the same for 1 or 2 guests. However the owner didn't pay notice to this and forced us to pay more in order to stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast and clean comfy room. Brochures in room were helpful for local area.
7.0 Good
Pros: Ok only but good location, free bus pass helpful
Cons: Our room had two windows which looked onto a patio/smoking area. This meant we needed to keep the curtains and windows to our room closed to prevent being watched/cigarette smoke coming into the room. Also risk of theft from room. The third window was overlooked by the adjacent house. There as little information in English in the room and we were not told on arrival that if the outside door was closed which key would let us in. Food service very slow and food average
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Room 6 was awesome! Two full bedrooms and a living room. This is what Americans want.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Clean
Cons: Arrived at. 2:20 as it stated I could check in anytime, but reception was open until 5pm. They had over booked so had to put us in the family room then proceeded to lock one of the bedrooms - making us feel unwelcome and awkward. The corridor had a whiff of dogs and there was a noisy dog in the opposite room. I was made to feel like a nuisance for turning up for breakfast at 9:45 but it was supposed to be served until 10. The room was perfectly clean but lacked any soul. Clinical and dull. Wouldn’t recommend if you want a warm welcome.
6.8 Good
Pros: Located in Gutach, a quaint German town. Restaurants, beer shop and Gelsto shops within walking distance.
Cons: When we were searching for hotel accommodations we used the website filter so we could narrow down the hotels accepting pets. Upon our arrival the employee said that pets were only allowed in one of the hotel’s rooms. We explained how we booked the room and he reluctantly allowed us to have our small dog w us in one of the ‘new’ rooms. If you have a pet, DEFINITELY call to book your room so there’s no misunderstandings about your pet,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean comfortable and and spacious. The river just outside was beautiful! The staff was wonderfully helpful and friendly!

Pros: Fantastic staff who are extremely friendly and very professional (happily helped me arrange flowers and cake for my wife's birthady at a good price). They make their cakes on site and the Black Forest Gateau must be the best in the whole of Germany (I've had quite a few to compare). Unusually for the area, it has a lift which was handy as I had a dodgy knee during our stay.
Cons: The breakfast was good quality but could have had a bit more choice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and clean rooms
Cons: Food menu had a very limited menu, which didn’t change for lunch or dinner in the 3 days we were there. B

Pros: We had an amazing room with a balcony and view over the lake. And a lovely afternoon drinking beer in the outside restaurant area.
Cons: We stood at reception for 15-20 minutes on arrival and departure - despite ringing the bell, no one came. On departure I ended up going to the restaurant and asking a waitress to check us out.

Pros: We had a wonderfull weekend in the Hotel Rita. The hotel is situated a little above the centre of the vilage but everything important can be easyly reached on food (5-10 min walk). The surrounding is very quiet and from the balcony you have a great view over the valley. The rooms a big, each with an own balcony and everything is very clean. The hotel owner is very friendly and we felt at home from the beginning. The breakfast is simple but great taste with fresh rolls and a selection of ham, chees sausage etc.. We were even allowed to take some rolles and sausage out for our picknick during the day. All in all it is a small hotel with a very warm atmosphere and a great deal for the money. We would come again.
Cons: there is nothing to say

Pros: This is a quaint hotel. The entry is via a lift to the 3rd floor (good to know). The host was very welcoming, and the rooms were very quiet. The breakfast was great, lots of choices of breads as well as waffles, cake and a great variety of fresh fruits, meats and cheeses. There was also a choice of jams and honey. The coffee was terrific, with the warm milk provided allowing us to make the coffee up to our own preferences
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This little hotel in the middle of Triberg is a gem! Literally in the middle of all the action (though our room was quiet and had a lovely view), the hotel was clean, cozy, and the breakfast was fantastic. My 13 year old daughter and I greatly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you, Bettina!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is perfectly located to visit Triberg. Close to everything and a short stroll to the famous waterfalls. Owner friendly, hands-on and available. Breakfast was great and plenty.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything’s perfect. The room was clean and spacious with huge windows and amazing view. And the location was unbeatable as well - right in the town center, 15 mins walk away from the waterfall and just across the street from the bus stop. And I read about how people like their breakfast and was not believing them. I am not a morning person and not usually have breakfast but I would say definitely worth trying here - with the balcony, fresh morning air, and the selections of cheese, ham and bread.
Cons: Nothing really about the property but it was a long way up-climbing from the train station and there weren’t many buses. So be prepared if you got lots of luggage.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel with a nice decoration, confortable room with big windows and very well located.
Cons: Towels a bit humid.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located right in the centre of town, with public parking just behind the hotel. Great breakfast in a cozy breakfast room with a balcony overlooking the mountains.

Pros: Warm and welcoming hospitality. Family run hotel with a feeling of a home away from home. Excellent breakfast buffet . Calm and relaxing atmosphere. Huge rooms with plenty of storage room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Large, comfortable room just a short walk to the town centre! Lovely personal breakfast on our last day which set us up for our long journey home.
Cons: I’m not going to put anything negative, due to the fact that we arrived in the middle of a stifling heatwave! This hotel has the potential to be something really great, but it will need a vast sum of money to do this and will no doubt reflect a higher room rate.
