Beautifully deisgned hotel. Lovely rooms with great beds, but lacking a few touches to give it some warmth, especially out by the pool Breakfast was mediocre for quality of the hotel. Breakfast coffee was disgusting - absolutely undrinkable, so had to order and pay for cappucinos from the bar which were very good. Swimming pol was freezing cold and could have doen with heating. No-one around to order drinks from at the pool - you had to go inside the hotel to look for someone.
Location, availability of meals Skype was supposed to be available but the hotel does not have a headset and microphone to access it. The glass bathrooms are silly. If someone opened the door to the room and someone is in the shower, you can see them.
I enjoyed the friendliness of the staff, the design of the room, and the breakfast each morning. I especially enjoyed the sauna. I would have liked to use more of the facilities in the spa portion of the hotel such as the steam room, the hot tub, and whatever the water beds were in the separate room.
The hotel is just lovely and right on the waterfront. The staff was excellent and our room was lovely. We had breakfast in the dining room and it was delicious. The desk clerk arranged a massage for me that evening, which was heavenly. That the area considers mid October to be winter and many places were closed. We suggested to the hotel that they either tint the bathroom door or put a shade on it similar to the showers merely for privacy.
Easy location to walk to from where you are let off from bus and ferry. The design of the rooms and overall hotel were very trendy and fun. Staff spoke passable English.
Chic design, with some amazing features such as the glass walled shower/en-suite in the bedroom. Not so good for a mother and daughter sharings, no twin beds and the exposed bathroom didn't exactly allowed for privacy. The food in the restaurant was poor, the only thing that let the hotel down. Vela Luka unfortunately didn't have much to offer.
