1.0 Poor
Cons: Very tired and dated
4.0 Okay
Cons: The room and bathroom had a moldy smell to it. The heating didn't work I would have got more heat by boiling the kettle. There was only one plug socket so could only do 1 thing at a time. no good. The worst part of the stay was the bed. I only slept a couple of hours a night and only got that sleep because I was completely shattered. For a 5 night stay that's no good at all. The mattress was none existent. It was just springs.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: To be honest all we needed was somewhere to sleep for the night on our way to pick up a car. It was cheap, clean, had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. Nothing flashy or posh and not everyone's cup of tea but if you just need a cheap room for the night - this place fits the bill.
Cons: Nothing - basic but what do you expect for £34 a night on a Saturday. We often book cheap hotels on our way to a long distance work engagement or picking something up for our vans etc. There were a few cobwebs in the room but overall it was clean
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Basic but clean and tidy and staff helpful and friendly
Cons: N/A
6.0 Good
Pros: the room was as expected the hotel was located in a great spot The staff were great

7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, room was comfortable
Cons: Receptionist on check in
6.0 Good
Pros: breakfast was nice
Cons: Should of been a double bed and travel cot instead we got two singles and a travel cot.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Iron and ironing board a great idea. Breakfast was plentiful. Great location
Cons: The fact that you could not add breakfast on when booking. Remote for tv broke. More tea and coffee would be good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A spacious and warm room. Excellent bed, I slept like a baby. Ensuite had full sized bath with shower over. Always delights my wife when there is a proper bath in the hotel room. We ate in the hotel restaurant on Saturday night, just main courses, but very nice food. Breakfast was the standard buffet, the hot food perhaps could have been a little hotter, but that’s a frequent complaint with buffet breakfast. Staff all very welcoming and efficient. Small error on our final bill as the bar had made a mistake charging someone else’s round to our room, but it was quickly and efficiently sorted. (Make sure you get a receipt and check it, or use the screens to check out as they show you all the charged items.) I was a bit worried about the close proximity of the M1, as we could see it from our window, but it did not disturb us at all in the end. Good location for easy access to Wakefield for The Hepworth, or the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, or Nostell Priory.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Excellent surroundings
7.4 Good
Pros: Fun to see the old estate, but the hotel itself seems outdated. The pool was great, and the service was friendly.

9.7 Excellent
Pros: The staff bend over backwards to make ur stay great The foods was perfect and the bar I haven't met anyone that keeps a bar like Charlie does to total perfection.
Cons: There nothing that I found to say I didn't like
6.0 Good
Pros: The property had everything you needed for a basic one night stay.
Cons: Old & dated in places and decor.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: Staff were too busy doing their make-up to answer the front desk or even answer the phone. I spent 30 mins waiting to check in while someone was clearly visible doing her nails etc
4.0 Okay
Pros: Staff were excellent- couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful in dealing with a plumbing problem that led to room change. Food was good.
Cons: The floors\ walls are paper thin which led to a soundtrack of what everyone around was doing- the bathroom soundtrack, I could have done without. Led to a dreadful night's sleep with disturbance well into the wee small hours which was no preparation for a sporting competition weekend- the purpose of the visit.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Such amazing and helpful staff, great breakfast too. Thanks guys!
7.0 Good
Pros: Changed the room for us with smiles and help with shifting stuff when we asked for a better, and warmer room.
Cons: Food wasn't fantastic but ok.

7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Room was cleaned to a good standard and the staff were very cheerful.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was gorgeous and very spacious food in restaurant was delicious
7.0 Good
Pros: Road noise and party goers made noice at night. Front rooms may benifate from extra glazing. Bed
Cons: Noise
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: I wanted a double room and got two single beds together. The rooms are nothing like the pictures. 3am in the morning a homeless guy starts to pull my door handle and stays near my door for around an hour which shows anyone can just walk in this hotel at night. Had to ring the reception to get rid of the guy at night and couldnt sleep for the rest of the night because I didnt feel safe at all!
5.0 Okay
Pros: The couch in the room the space and the large bed.
Cons: The very small bathroom and shower head that didn't work and the room next door partying from 2am to 4am. The night porter should have dealt with the issue sooner. The underwhelming breakfast.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location breakfast was alright
Cons: Noisey and housing homeless people which was quite frightening when going out for a cigarette. 2nd night I was waken up to doors slamming and a female shouting about at 1.15 in the morning.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Despite the near lock down with restaurants and bars closed we were made most welcome and the service we received excellent. breakfast and dinner great will love to go back after all this!
6.3 Good
Pros: Excellent location for town and bars. Room spacious clean and a good breakfast. Nice bar in hotel.
6.0 Good
Pros: The location to wakefield city centre was excellent only a few minutes wlak to the shopping area. The hotel appeared recently refurbished and was immaculately clean. We got a great deal for half board, which was good value for having a 3 course dinner included. The dinner also offered a decent choice for vegetarians which we both are. Restaurant staff were pleasant and attentive.
Cons: Breakfast was basic (Cereal and juices, tea / coffee) and didn't have a menu. We were asked if we would like anything else for breakfast but without a menu its difficult to specify without having to keep asking 'Do you have....?'. Free Wi-Fi is offered but no info in rooms or check-in card on the password, on our first night stay there was no staff at desk or on the phone to answer the question. However we were able to obtain the password the next morning. Housekeeping came to our room before 9am and we asked if they could come back a little later as we weren;t quite ready, unfortauntely they didn't come back.
6.7 Good
Pros: Really friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: As it is a city centre hotel it was very noisy at night both inside and out. It might be better on weekdays but not good on Friday and Saturday nights.
8.0 Excellent

7.3 Good
Pros: Value for money. Very clean and tidy room/bathroom.
7.6 Good
Pros: Spotlessly clean and well appointed room

6.0 Good
Pros: Restaurant is very good. Hotel and restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is very close to the train station, a 5-minute walk to the town centre, shopping malls, market, local restaurant, and the bus station.
Cons: Noise from adjoining room kept me awake most of the night which means that wall/sound insulation is non-existent. Hotel seems to be popular with the young people, which means a bit noisy and rowdy for a senior visitor like me.
4.8 Okay
Pros: Near station. There is a good restaurant in the hotel.
Cons: It is good to have a wheelchair accessible bathroom, but not fo normal people without mentioning in advance. It is difficult to use. E.G. small low level basin.
6.4 Good
Pros: Clean, modern facilities; convenient location.
Cons: I would expect more than a single coat hanger.
6.0 Good
Pros: Clean and freshly decorated
Cons: No drinking glasses, chair or shaver power point in room. Reakfast choice very limited

Pros: Excellent value for money. Gorgeous facilities/ lovely location. Friendly and helpful staff. Great room with modern en suite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food. Good decor. Good service and friendly staff. Room was at a good temperature and bathroom was clean and spacious. I'm surprised it's a 3 star; it certainly almost a 4 star!
Cons: Water pressure was not high enough in the shower. Bedroom was located near an area where staff made loud noises at 5am. Not sure what they were doing, but it woke me up in an otherwise very peaceful night.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Didn't have any
Cons: Two card keys for the rooms would be advantageous. Food was fantastic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: rooms are great and very spacious
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have stayed at the Rogerthorpe Manor hotel for the past 6 months for a least 3 days per week and would certainly recommend the hotel. It is off the main roads and therefore fairly quiet. There are a variety of rooms, some are smaller than others, but then there are the suites which are fantastic to stay in. All the rooms I have stayed in are clean and well looked after by the hotel staff. The food is good, and there is a variety to select from on the menu and is fairly priced, The staff in the Jacobean are very accommodating, breakfasts are nicely prepared as well. The grounds are very well maintained and nice to have a walk round if you have time. A fantastic hotel to stay at and a special thanks to the girls and Simon on reception who have looked after me during the last 6 months
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great value
Cons: Cold in btraskfast room

Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel. Great hotel to stay at
9.6 Excellent
Pros: 99% excellent. Would have been a full 100% were it not for the very rude and abusive night manager after my daughters wedding. He is a blot on an otherwise beautiful landscape. Staff here are the best, of the highest standards anywhere, he has let them down by his behaviour. Food, rooms, facilities, planners, everyone except him cannot be faulted. Money cannot buy better. Thankyou all......hope he is gone soon so you all get the credit you so well deserve. Fantastic place
Cons: Night Manager/Porter Horrible little man with a danger to business attitude Lord Sugar required......

The hotel was quite quiet this time I stayed and the breakfast was a lot more order orientated to keep us safe. I look forward to staying here again.

Pros: Breakfast was very good. Room was cleaned to a good standard and the staff were very cheerful.
Cons: I would like to have not joined the queue for food to get my key, and also joining the food queue to request a drink in the bar. I do realise this is a motel and not a hotel.

7.4 Good
Pros: Fun to see the old estate, but the hotel itself seems outdated. The pool was great, and the service was friendly.
Cons: You could feel the springs in the mattress. Also, we were in a room in the basement with very little light, maybe our experience would have been better in another room.
