Pros (+) The location of this facility is the highlight. It was close to everything the kids wanted to do or play. The beach is well maintained and had lifeguards. The restaurant in the hotel was a little expensive but had tasty food but a limited bar. Parking was a serious bonus.
Cons (-) You had to walk thru the lobby to get to and from your hotel room, even from the beach. So soaking wet ocean dwellers mixed with well-dressed dining patrons.

Cons (-) Typical 3-star beachfront hotel. Cleanliness, staff, amenities, and room were all just ok. Where it fell short was the AC unit that rattled on and off all night long and was so loud it sounded like an airplane about to takeoff. Not worth $225 if you can't sleep.

Pros (+) It was right on the beach and our room had been updated and was nice The pool is nice and on the 5th floor so nice view
Cons (-) It was very under construction I wouldn't call it renovation The beds were very hard ,water wasn't very hot , parking garage was awkward, and the staff seamed overwhelmed

Pros (+) The only redeeming feature of the Surfside Inn was the fact that I was refunded in full.
Cons (-) Where to begin? The hotel was under a complete renovation and in no shape to be safely inhabited by visitors. Bare wires hung from holes in the ceiling. Rooms and floors were under construction. Our keycards didn't work so a construction guy let us into our room (why the hell did he have key access?). The power went out for many hours, meaning no heat, no elevators, no lights! When power returned ...
