I had the "president suite" for more than $1,000 per night. I booked for 5 nights, but left after one. The room looked used and needs a renovation. The carpet and the floor in the bathroom was disgusting. The room smells not good. No way to open a window to get fresh air inside. The air condition is very loud and a lot noise from the street. The interior design incredibly bad. Stains on the couch. No coat hooks for the jackets! A tiny wardrobe for 2-3 shirts, no shelves. But an expensive minibar... Mind this hotel. I moved to a much better one for the half price.
The person that initially checked us in did not greet or assure follow-up during our interaction. Although they were on a call, one should at least acknowledge customers entering and assure them they will be helped promptly.
Superb front of house staff--at least as good as any I have ever encountered in an American hotel. The location is very convenient if you are into Washington theatre, as well as "official Washington", and also a direct Metro connection from the airport. Room furnishings good.
If you are mobility-impaired, maybe not the best choice. The entrance is up steep steps and through narrow and not always attended doors. The roller entrance arrangements are rather complex, particularly in bad weather. Once inside you should be OK. Value for money is only OK; it's a nice but expensive place.
closeness to capitol one center.
the lack of consideration to place us on the same floor as 2 wedding parties. logic should have dictated that Mr. Bayko is mot with either wedding party so lets place him on ANOTHER FLOOR.
Wonderful experience, and location! And the story behind the hotel was also very impressive. Highly recommend
Room was smaller than expected
