We cannot say enough kind things about the entirety of our stay at M.O. D.C. We particularly want to send a shout of excellence out to Justin at the front desk and Tracy in concierge who both went above and beyond over and again to make our stay perfect.
I have ZERO negative comments
great view looking at water and DC monuments spacious bathroom, clean room walking distance to most attractions and the wharf
charges for wifi use
Location Staff Clean Gift for kids Room price was ok for the type of hotel
Breakfast price. Used starbuck in front of the hotel as many other people Heavy Noise from train but still ok
The beds were extremely comfortable - slept amazing! The room size was standard for a double queen. The bathrooms were updated and spotless. The extra large soaker tub was perfect for the kids and the glass enclosed shower was a dream. Having an indoor pool was perfect for the kids and on-sight valet parking was a major plus as we drove from Boston and needed a place to park our car for a few days while we explored our Nations capital! The valet service was extremely friendly and fast - had the car unloaded onto a trolly in moments and again with checkout - came right to the room and loaded up that trolly and straight to the car. They work hard and are very courteous. Turns out DC does not have many (or any that we saw) restaurants along the mall area or monuments (except for hot dog carts and food trucks) - so we were very hungry every night upon arrival back from exploring. The restaurant was great, a little pricey for families, but we expected that. There were options for everyone, thankfully we don't have picky eaters - so they were thrilled with the choices.
It would have been great to have a mini-fridge as we drove from Boston and packed a cooler full of yogurts, cheese snacks, etc. We ended up having to throw out all of it. Ice was kept with housekeeping, so it was not easily accessible on the go. Our check-in was delayed by 2 hours. We arrived a little after 3pm and the room was not ready until just after 5pm, which was a bummer as we drove 7 hours and were tired. They offered us 2 free drinks in the lounge, but we had our kids with us and did not end up using the offer.
I love everything about the hotel- the staffs, the room is specious and beatifly decorated, room, bed, bathroom are comfortable. The staffs are friendly. They’re great with kids too. Breakfast is good. Location is perfect. It’s close to sightseeing places but a little tucked away from trafffic and craziness. I love the hotel setting that is next to the water. Everything about this hotel is just 7 star standard I was looking for.
Parking $55 per night!
