The hotel is conveniently situated near to the station with a good view of the river, but from the aesthetic point of view it's a pity about the car park in front. We ate in the bar, but it was quite noisy being a Saturday evening.
The room was clean and tidy with good facilities. It was very handy for the town shops, rail and bus services. The airport was within walking distance, but there was an hourly bus service from the front door of the hotel. The manager of the hotel was very helpful. The Bar area was in need of refurbishment and had a rather bleak out outlook across a supermarket car park.
Friendly staff. Everything one wanted was there and worked.Evening meal good value. Whole place appears a little tired and the exterior is unappealing.Apparently public gents toilet was not too good. Clientele of Wicker Bar a little off putting on arrival.
Convenient to Wick centre. Friendly staff. Windows only single-glazed, so noise from cars of "boy-racers" who congregate on car park opposite, but fortunately not too late.
Pleasant well mannered staff, good carparking, near to town centre. Generally could have been cleaner, better signage to get to hotel, no eggs for breakfast.
Food was excellent. Poor room. Noisey. Television very poor.
The Hotel was in a good central location in the town. Friendly and helpful staff and excellent Price considering remoteness of town. No Big screeen TV in Bar.
None 1 room was so bad that my contracts manager slept in the car.
comfort and food
The hotel was well located for our requirements and the staff were excellent - very helpful and friendly. We felt that the bistro restaurant prices were a bit high for our requirements and it was a pity we had to find somewhere else to have our evening meal. The hotel surroundings were very nice and we would have preferred to stay in the hotel for a meal after a tiring day.
American receptionist most efficient and helpful. Excellent evening meal in the restaurant. Horrible 'youth hostel' style illuminated sign near the recption really makes your heart drop when you round the corner - get rid soon. Couple of undersireables made it in the bar although were quietly dealt with after about 30 minutes.
The hotel was very welcoming and comfortable, the rooms were very clean ,comfortable and well furnished. The food and service in the bistro was excellent.I would not hesitate to stay again. No
Centrally located in Wick N/A
Staff were friendly and hotel was comfortable Single room was a bit small
Friendly staff, good service, spacious room, excellent food Looked a bit run down from the outside, no car park
Staff friendly and efficient. Food and service were first class Bathroom could do with some grout and sealer
very friendly & helpful receptionist. good, tasty breakfast. nice clean ensuite room. efficient checkout. Overpriced. Paid £109 for one night B&B for two & room, although well kept, was small.
Exelent bistro plus very good free wifi Room heating was not on, when arrived and it was very very cold outside
Convenient location, friendly/helpful staff
Excellent evening meal
The cleanliness of my room is almost good, although the building is not so new. It is very easy to access there.
We felt very welcome and were well looked after. n/a
The hosts were extremely friendly and helpfull, food was excellent
Generally good service
This was very good value for the cost. The sheets were pressed. Everything was clean, nice bathroom. Heat worked great. Nice view from our room. The owners were friendly and helpful. Food was good, nice choice. Cell phone and internet service. The shower pressure.
the room was very well decorated and clean
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had the best nights sleep of our fortnights holiday there so the bed must have been comfortable. The dinner menu was good and the food well cooked and presented. The breakfast was very basic with a poor choice of juice and no sign of fruit.
Found the Hotel very cosy, a little too small
