Langdale Chase is a wonderful, country hotel that celebrates its location on the banks of Lake Windermere. It has operated as a hotel since 1937 but the house was built in 1890, and it retains many of its magnificent architectural details and the unique personality of this time. It has 29 rooms, each furnished with luxurious linens, heavy carpets and drapes, rich period wallpapers and most have great views. As well as the main house, there are rooms in the boat house and lake house, a short stroll away.

This is a great hotel to bring your pets. There is an extra cost per day and they can stay with you in your room. While they don’t allow pets in the main dining room, they will arrange for you and your pet to be served at a table in the Piano Lounge, Main Hall or on the outdoor terrace.

There is also a pillow menu, so you can choose the perfect night's sleep.

The main restaurant at Langdale holds an AA Rosette award. It’s a wonderful historic room where they serve lunch and dinner, and it’s advised to book, even if you are a resident. They always keep tables open for people stopping by but they are on a first-come, first-served basis. If the main dining hall is full, there are also tables in the conservatory area and the outside terrace.

There is a residents bar and a piano lounge at Langdale Chase where you can enjoy ale and a range of other English beers as well as wines, spirits and champagne.

This is a popular wedding location and they only allow one wedding per day. They host weddings for up to 120 people but a much smaller number is ideal too. Ceremonies can be performed on the lakeside, the terraces or in the main areas of the hotel.

Langdale Chase has a lot of experience in helping business teams bond and work more closely together.
