We stayed at this Hotel for Christmas 2009. It is ideally situated right in the centre of Mayrhofen and has ample free parking. We were located on the 3rd floor in a clean, recently refurbished room with superb mountain and town views. The Hotel is very comfortable, nice and warm and offers excellent value for money in a prime location with breathtaking views of the Tirol. There is no front desk. The staff who work in the ski shop on the ground floor double up as receptionists when they are free, which is confusing on arrival if you do not know this in advance. The breakfast choice is very limited. There is no lift at the Hotel.
how quiet it is, hotel and area there are no people, nobody at the reception, I mis a bar or restaurant
comfortable, clean, breakfast good, Nice views from our room. Plenty of hot water.Enjoyed two nights stay. We where on the third floor and no lift
The room was very nice and clean, the atmosphere relaxed and staff friendly when they were around. It has a very good location, about 5 minutes walk from the nearest ski gondala, Penkenbahn.
nobody at the reception when we arrived, we had to call a mobile number. We had booked an apartment and it was not available, so we had to stay in 2 rooms. No soap in the room, the sink was not working properly. The next day, nobody in the hotel except the maids to whom we paid in cash: no invoice, but a hand maid receipt ... and nobody spoke English
Central position, own parking Poor and uninteresting breakfast, no lift, we judged it to be about 25% overpriced compared to similar hotels
Very helpful staff, excellent breakfast, big clean room, central yet quiet location. Not the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on, but not the worst either.
5 star prices for 3 star accommodation
Freedom to come and go by letting ourselves into the hotel when needed. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly
Quit nice place. We did only stay overnight and then we moved on for further vacation.
Excellent staff. Very good price/quality. Good outdoor and indoor pool. Good breakfast and dinner. Small TV. Beans in the swimming pool.
Spa is very nice The cusine is far from excellent
Swiming pool, friendly staff This is a 'dog' hotel, so there are a lot of guests with dogs in the restaurant. We first had the 'zillertal' room, which is in need of renovation, and also smelled badly like 'dog'. Luckely we could get a better (renovated) room for the following nights. In the restaurant all chairs had bird-shit on them, which was not cleaned.
All! Staff, rooms, food, swiming pool, spa, services, restaurant hall, position.. excellent! Congratulation to Magdalena (for mahagement) and husband (for kitchen), Madlaine for welcome... Nothing!
Nice restaurant, english speaking staff Rather poor breakfest as for 4 star hotel; on arrival day there was no room prepered, so I spent a night in a "spare" room and fortunately next day I have received what I ordered with one night discount
lovely hotel in a fantastic place would stay here again.
The room was big with a great mountain view. Good location: the area is fantastic with many things to do. The hotel offers free bike-hire. The spa area is nice, the pool is nice but a bit cold, the gardens of the hotel are lovely, free-parking, food is good but not very varied. There was no fridge/mini-bar in the room, no Air-Conditioning, no tea/coffee facilities in the room, the shower (inside the bath) leaked onto the bathroom floor, and also it was cold one day, they tell you there is internet in every rooom but don't mention that most websites don't work and the computer is so old it crashes every 5 mins. The bed was uncomfortable. The buffets (breakfast and afternoon snack) were uncovered so there were lots of flies on the food. The staff are quite grumpy (except for one waiter who is really kind and friendly).
The rooms were fine. I liked the nespresso machine that was in the room. But it was quite cheap that at a 4 star hotel they made you pay for it, even though it was in the room, and usually those kind of teas and coffees are complimentary. The service was quite bad, It seemed there were 3 people working at the hotel, and they worked as everyone! The food was absolutly horrible! There was no portier. The reception was already empty at 5 pm... and you could bearly reach them by phone.
the staff is genuinely pleasant. The hotel is cosy, extremely clean, decorated in folk style with good taste. The pool has a beautiful modern design. The cuisine is very good.
The high quality of the food; the friendliness and professionalism of the welcome which included being offered a drink while I registered; the wellness centre and the relaxed nature in which to enjoy it; the quality of the room and the services provided, including free internet access Staff at the bar could have been more attentive, as there were several evenings I opted not to have a drink because staff did not ask.
Good service, excellent kitchen
the high standard ,
We had an upgrade to a spacious double room with bathroom and seperate toilet in the room. Great.Breakfast was fine good choice of breads and cheeses. All staff lovely . Owner's wife and little boy there in hotel for breakfast made it seem very homely.Location was great views of mountains and paragliders from our 30 ft long wide balcony complete with loungers and table and chairs. So central for dining out at night.Huge choice of places to eat and drink in the town at night. We did not sample their dinner menu or use spa or bar as there was so much to do in town.Table tennis in basement. Underground carpark an added bonus in the heat.
