ScotRail operates a sleeper service train to London which departs from Aberdeen every evening except on Saturdays. Aberdeen holidays offer a variety of top galleries and museums including the Aberdeen Art Gallery & Aberdeen Maritime Museum. However, many regard the city’s granite architecture as the main attraction; most abundant in the city centre. Just outside of here Aberdeen also has its own sandy beach which stretches over 2 miles from the quaint fishing village of Footdee to the end of the mouth of the River Don. Whilst not suitable for sunbathing or swimming throughout most of the year, it is a popular spot to take walks.
