The dinner and breakfast were exceptional, delicious food. The team at Errichel were all really helpful and friendly. Thanks again. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly comfortable stay Good view across Strathtay. Comfortable clean rooms with large comfortable bed, Clean and spacious shower and bathroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was ideal, away from everything, off the beaten track, and only an hour from home... Magmore Cottage is a mile and a half up a farm track/hill... won’t suit all vehicles, but our 4x4 handled it well... given its location, we also had a courtesy lift each evening from John, to and from dinner at Thyme.
Cons: WiFi seemed to drop off in the afternoons / evening... not a major issue as we still had phone service. Didn’t spoil our stay, as we were looking for a quiet few days anyway....
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, fabulous room with outstanding hillside views, beautiful location, very peaceful & quiet and tasty breakfast cooked by Paul. Errichel was above the snow-line and this caused some concerns (not issues) as the February weather at this time was peppered with snow showers falling on already snow covered ground. Paul & Becky were extremely kind enough to offer a lift into and out of Aberfeldy for our evening meal as their 4x4 could handle any snow that fell while we were in the Aberfeldy restaurant. We had to eat out as the restaurant was only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday over the winter months - we weren't aware of this when we booked.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent

Pros: We'd booked Garden Cottage, which turned out to be wonderfully private while only being 20 metres from the main entrance. The cottage is spacious, well furnished and extremely comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare simple meals. That said, we booked into the restaurant for breakfast and it was wonderful each day (you've got to love the mini breakfast muffins!)
Cons: Whit, nae tattie scones wi' oor breakfast?!?

8.6 Excellent (377 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Aberfeldy, Ben Lawers Hotel is on the riverwalk, a 3-minute drive from Loch Tay and 10 minutes from Fortingall Yew. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good friendly atmosphere, nice food, good choice, excellent breakfast included.Really good value in comparison to other places we stayed. Very dog friendly too.
Cons: Had a little problem with the shower but landlord very helpful.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location of the hotel, arrived in the evening - the entrance and bar were all decked out in Christmas decorations. The staff were extremely friendly, chatty and helpful. The food was plentiful and delicious. Our room was above the bar and we could hear the chatter/music after we’d gone to bed but it didn’t bother us and we slept very well. Breakfast was really good too.
Cons: Bathroom was extremely small, but we knew this so we weren’t overly bothered.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our stay at the Ben Lawers a few drinks and good food.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: That we could escape to visit our family who were staying in luxurious accommodation 2 miles away.
Cons: We were "locked out" and had a real problem obtaining entry.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The hotel is in a great position on the banks of Loch Tay. It has a large bar restaurant area and a full menu with lots of options. There is a tv room downstairs for guests if you want a bit of extra room or are meeting friends. The hotel has just 5 rooms and a family run feel to it.
Cons: The room smelled slightly of cigarette smoke, the smell transferred to my bag and clothes meaning it came home with me. The key issue was the electrics; the kettle in the room kept tripping the fuse for the whole floor. It took me 6 resets at the fuse box to boil a kettle. I booked a b&b basis but breakfast started after I needed to check out. The owner told me he wasn't getting up early to accommodate me but I could have a packed lunch if I wanted. Like others have said, staff were a little surly but well intentioned. The shower ran out of hot water the night I arrived. The morning I left the water was warm, not hot. No one was around to ask about the electrics or water issue on the morning I checked out. One night here was £75 for a small double on a b&b basis. For me this wasn't value for money.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great food especially the pizzas, chilled out atmosphere & dog friendly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent and the food is really good.
Cons: It was all good

Pros: Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and would very much recommend
Cons: Not happy with the fact we booked a family room for me and my brother in law, and expected at least 2 single beds. Insteas we had one double bed, and the fix to this was for a fold down camp bed to be setup. I was disappointed as we appeared to be the only ones staying, so there was at least one spare room available.

Pros: Clean and cosy, it had everything we needed, was in a nice quiet location with a nice outlook onto the woods. Not the biggest cottage but did fine for two adults and one child, had everything we needed and good on and off site facilities
Cons: Some bits of wear and tear that could be updated but on the whole it was good, clean and cosy which was the main thing

Pros: Very peaceful place. Spa was lovely. Food was good. Hotel room was spotless. Staff were friendly and chatty. Doing a good job in tough times.
Cons: A wee thing was that Adele music was playing constantly in every room we were in. Dinner upstairs- Adele. Downstairs having a drink - Adele. Breakfast- Adele. Change your music up a bit!! Oh and fix the door on the sauna. It wouldn't close, so the sauna lost heat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: STAFF AT THE RESORT WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING UNDER VERY DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES. WE HAD TO LEAVE EARLY BUT TOTALLY UNDERSTAND WHY. HOPEFULLY WE WILL BE BACK SOON !!
Cons: NOTHING
