Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "On time"
Pros: "For the most part the people and workers were very nice"
Cons: "Couldn’t add baggage with the ticket bought online. Once I did it cost $100 to add 1 bag. Checking in process was the worst, as many kiosks didn’t work and the software seemed buggy."
Pros: "Fab flight in every way"
Cons: "Transit time should be calculated reasonably."
Pros: "Flight screens showed info"
Cons: "Bring back free food ba"
Cons: "Had no idea we had not payed to check a bag. Could have paid online prior to boarding for 30 pounds, but because we did not know, had to pay 65 pounds in order to check a bag at the airport. I am extremely dissatisfied with this flight and with British airways in general. I wish I would have known about the baggage and I could have saved myself a LOT of money. British airway crew were rude and unhelpful. I will not be flying with them again."
Cons: "A 2-hour layover was too short. We experienced crazy long lines for: the bus between terminals, immigration passport review; passport review before the metal detector, and detailed tests on permitted volumes of shampo, and toothpaste. The agent forced me to check a normally permitted carryon bag, then the bags took 45 minutes to be placed on the turnstile after the flight. Not an efficient airport."
Cons: "One piece of luggage was left at Heathrow. It arrived on the next flight so it turned out ok but was stressful for an hour."
Pros: "The seat was fine. the flight was as expected."
Cons: "expectation that one will fly with only one carry-on bag and not receive any food or beverage during the flight. industry trend is ridiculous ..."
Pros: "Crew was mostly kind and helpful. My bags arrived at their final destination."
Cons: "I was told that I had to check my bag because it would not fit in the overhead bin. When I got on the plane I found that the overhead bins were ample sized for my hiking pack. I know that British Airways has a policy regarding bags in overhead bins that basically says 'if you cannot lift your bag into the overhead bin un-assisted, you must check your bag.' My husband and I are both experienced hikers, we lifted our packs unassisted on the last plane, yet they forced us to check our bags. I'm glad our bags made it to the UK, but this is literally the first time I've checked a bag and had it arrive. Also, the boarding passes sent to me on my phone were rejected by almost every security/boarding check. This is after BA supposedly fixed their error with the previous boarding passes. Overall not pleased with the experience but glad I paid under $300 for my ticket."
Cons: "Everything was sub par with BA. We upgraded to world traveler plus and the seats were old, there was trash from the previous flight and the tv screens were from 1995. The movies are only on loop so when you take off and are finally allowed to turn on the tv, the movies are 25 minutes in. All around a waste of money. Will never fly BA AGAIN!!"
Pros: "Staff and Crew amazing and very friendly on this trip"
Cons: "Nothing negative to report best flight for some time"
Cons: "As requested checked my bag in and it took an absolute age to get my bag in Edinburgh. I ordered a toastie it was lukewarm"

Pros: "Staff at Heathrow was professional and efficient. Staff on board was professional and friendly as well."
Cons: "could not even get water to drink without purchasing"
Pros: "Even on a short flight, you can feel a difference with the crew. This one was very good."
Cons: "security in Heathrow was AWFUL. There was only ONE person working to screen luggage AND check luggage that was questionable. There wee 15 people waiting for luggage who almost missed their connections. I sprinted through the airport and made my connection with 2 minutes to spare."
Pros: "Service was great - so polite and friendly. And the coffee was worth every penny."
Cons: "the luggage fee - Now I understand why the fare was so inexpensive! I'm an American and thus slow :-)"
Pros: "Everything was great"
Pros: "Quick passport checks on boarding. Seat has head rest that can be folded to hug your head, very comfortable!"
Cons: "No USB charging plugs. Main dish was good but the salad is poor."
Cons: "Our bags were lost. Only water was offered."
Cons: "Was pulled for a security screening. Stood around forever waiting. Seemed like people didn't know what they were doing."
Cons: "$100 just to choose a seat ? $100 for a 2nd bag? A Kellogg's bar for breakfast? Shame on them."
Cons: "Was not given an aisle seat"
Cons: "This was the worst trip ever! Delays on both ways!!"
Pros: "None of my nine checked in luggage arrived. The following 8 of the 9 came. One is still missing. This is a British Airways ticket using American Air for the first leh."
Cons: "The fact that my luggage and that of my children did not arrive."
Cons: "Airline did not honor Ticket, Gave incorrect information as the excuse and have not refunded me for ticket they did not allow me to fly on. they made us purchase new tickets and we were charged 2 times"
Cons: "I will continue traveling with this airline .,"
Cons: "Did not get the seats I paid for"
Pros: "Was not made aware of baggage policy. Their regular policy allows one checked baggage but not our ticket. Was not prompted when doing online check in and led to me paying almost 200 pounds for luggage. Just ridiculous!"
Cons: "Baggage policy not clear - good way to force customers to pay more and help their revenue!"
Pros: "Boarding was straight forward with the automated scanning of boarding pass."
Cons: "I was totally taken aback that I had to pay for tea and coffee. After having to pay for baggage and to reserve my seat for the flight. At least beverages could have been offered at no additional cost. Very disappointed with BA."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "I pay for insurance but i don't take advantage in uk by the insurance"
Pros: "I was travelling alone with a baby and a toddler and found most of the staff very helpful - stowing my bags, helping to carry my buggy, helping with seat belts etc."
Cons: "A member of staff at the gate referred to my 2 year old daughter as "a difficult child" to another member of staff because she didn't like having her photo taken. I felt it was very rude and unfair, particularly as I had to lift her to an awkward height (whilst also holding a baby) as the camera was in a fixed position. It was clear the staff member didn't have children herself!"
Pros: "I received an email cancelling the flight before I left home."
Cons: "Last minute cancellation of the flight by BA meant I was unable to attend the event I was booked on. Have found service has definitely declined on recent BA flights I've travelled on. Check in staff are good though."
Pros: "Free drinks!"
Cons: "No new movies!~"
Pros: "LOVED the folks on this airline. So nice and accommodating."
Cons: "Small selection of movies"
Pros: "The seats were comfortable and the crew helpful."
Cons: "More than an hour late in taking off, and the food is almost inedible - get the Air Canada chef on board!"
Pros: "Slept most of the way. Cabin looked new, so that was nice."
Cons: "Having to gate check my bag even though it fit in the overhead bin."
Pros: "Nothing. At. All."
Cons: "This was a nightmare. BA had no flights available to Edinburgh. Booked on 3 separate flights at 2 different airports. Last one was canceled outright. After being awake for 28 hours and traveling for 15, we finally were given a hotel room for the night in London. Still trying to get to Edinburgh."
Cons: "Couldn't say as the flight was cancelled on arrival in LHR. Took 5hrs and 8 seperate question to discover what was going on and to be offered a flight to Glasgow as an alternative. The flight to Glasgow also took of late arriving at 2310 local. Europecar were great hired a Mercedes E220 with a gps to complete the journey to Edinburgh, at a cost of 600GBP for 3 1/2 days including fuel. Arrived 8hrs late, seriously affecting sleep patterns and ruining an already tight schedule. BA could have met us exiting ac from LAS in T5 explained situation, new boarding cards etc, total fail, should have booked flight with Lufthansa to EDI via Frankfurt for 600USD less. BA Staff comments such as " I'm sorry I haven't been trained for this situation, I can't help you after 40 minutes" etc Total lack of staff available and able to assist, super poor knowledge, massive queues not moving."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "BA is the national flag carrier, operating from the newest terminal at the country's top airport. You would think that they could manage, in the 21st century, to get us to our flight on time, using an airbridge instead of 30 year old buses. Said buses were also too few in number so boarding took the thick end of 40 minutes as they shuttled back and forth. BA are a complete and utter joke. There is no excuse for this level of penny-pinching inadequacy."
Pros: "Everything was fine."
Pros: "Short"
Cons: "No entertainment or USB or power for charging"
Pros: "British Airways really surprised me by offering a free sandwich and dessert with a beverage: outstanding!"
Cons: "N/A"
Cons: "Same issue: cannot choose the seat in advance or check in."
Pros: "The staff handled everything really well. Continuously being updated to the delay reasons."
Cons: "Being stuck on a plane on the tarmac for 2+ hours, before being moved to a corridor, and then a bus, and then boarding a new plane. No information about delay compensation or refunds being given. No provisions for providing food or drinks for the toddlers/babies/children that had been kept on the plane for a couple of hours."
Pros: "That we got home"
Cons: "It was 2 hours late which meant we missed our train and got home 4 hours late"
Pros: "Evriting"
Cons: "Don’t charge everyone on the flight €60 without warning."
Pros: "I landed alive"
Cons: "No information about the gate until you have tk run across the airport to board"
Cons: "Nothing, the price is great and I would take a cheaper price for the flight over free drinks and food anyday"
Pros: "Crew were lovely and happy and kept us abreast of the problems that caused a delay in departure."
Pros: "Receiving updates about delays"
Cons: "The flight could have left on time"
Cons: "Free refreshments"
Cons: "It could have been on time"
Pros: "Friendly crew"
Cons: "Border control at EDI. Lanes too long"
Pros: "Staff were friendly."
Cons: "My flight was delayed which meant I was over an hour late for my connecting travel. Delay kept increasing as I was waiting at Luton airport."
Pros: "Pilot got us there in less than an hour after a three hour delay"
Cons: "Three hour delay with no explanation until we were actually on the flight. Only a £3 refreshment voucher. Couldn't hear cabin crew and they rushed through the food service. Looked like they didn't want to be there."
Pros: "Staff were helpful and friendly"
Cons: "Flight was delayed over an hour and ended up parked so far from terminal, not the best for a late flight. The new smal airbus was cramped legroom wise, I had hoped for an improvement over 737"
Pros: "Not much. I think anything we liked was about the airport staff, not the easy jet staff. The customer service lady was efficient, but not helpful and kind of rude and all she kept saying was “well everyone else made it”. The plane was also not full (I believe she said 60 people, maybe 58 not including us)."
Cons: "The plane was departing at 8:25 and boarding at 7:55 according to the ticket. At 7:57 there was no gate announced for the flight yet, so we went to the bathroom, came out and saw our gate and headed there. We got the gate wrong, but were only about 5 mins out of the way, so me and my 70 year old grandmother ran through the terminals and we got to the correct gate at 8:16 (less than 20 minutes from the time the gate was announced) and they would not let us on. Easy Jet’s policy (which we have a picture of) is that the gate closes 30 minutes before departure, but we did not even have a gate until less than 20 minutes from the departure. We did not hear them announce our names or last call (until the minute before we got there, and it did not seem like if they would have let us on if we were one minute earlier either). After this whole ordeal and being at the airport on time and through security in time, we went to talk to the check-in person to see what we should do. We stood in line and did not get called up (3 people did not have customers but were not calling me up), so I asked and one girl reluctantly said I could see her. As I was telling her what happened, she got a phone call, answered it in the middle of my explanation, and then chatted for a few minutes with another coworker about who was working and who was going on lunch when. After she hung up, she looked annoyed at me, and I told her again what happened, and she said she could help and to go to customer service. At customer service, we asked to see if we could get on the next flight which wasn’t leaving for over 7.5 hours, which they said we could but would have to purchase our tickets and luggage all over again. The person working was mostly professional, fairly efficient, but pretty callous overall. On top of all this, when they pulled our luggage off the flight (somehow they can board a flight of 60 ish people and still have time to remove our luggage), they pulled one of the wrong suitcases off so we had to go collect our luggage at or destination, and someone else went luggage-less. Ultimately, my grandmother’s first European trip and this was the worst experience we’ve had so far, but after $200, 6 hours, and tears from both of us, we made it to our destination and will never fly Easy Jet again."
Pros: "No complaints about flight"
Cons: "Extra cost for hold luggage"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Everything. Ends up costing me ½ day of work around £500"
Cons: "Website doesn't work properly, 6 hr. wait for online chat, phone help that got things wrong, herded like cattle into ever smaller, airless waiting areas, left 30 min. late and arrived an hr. late on a 2 hr. flight."
Cons: "Flight 1.5 hour delay"
Pros: "Overall was fine."
Cons: "When boarding the lady handling my boarding pass had a Bad attitude!"
Pros: "Got to destination"
Cons: "Customer service was poor from ground staff at Bristol, should be expected from budget airline."
Pros: "Comfortable. Large plane"
Cons: "I was not allowed my hand luggage on in the cabin on the trip down or return as was told the cabin was full. That is would go in the hold but it would be first off. So many people came on after me with much larger hand luggage! Also my bag was last into baggage reclaim both times"
Pros: "Plane boarded early and took off on time but landed 15 minutes early fantastic as I caught an earlier but that i thought I would get"
Pros: "Very helpful and friendly cabin crew"
Cons: "Pilots didn’t make any contact to the passengers. Very weird"

Cons: "To many people that had carry ons which would not fit. Long wait to board the flight."
Pros: "The trip home was excellent, Everything from start of the journey to the finish was perfect."

Cons: "The 1 hour plus delay at Bristol"
Pros: "As above - uneventful - ran as it should!"
Cons: "Long walk at Kastrup airport!!"
Pros: "Crew always good."
Cons: "Delays, flight called way ahead of actual boarding and long delay getting off flight and in to terminal."
Pros: "Got from A to B, no fuss about bag sizes - symptomatic of them needing us to board quickly perhaps?"
Cons: "1.5 Hours late; a typical delay with easyJet No real apologies offer of refreshment vouchers, although there was regular updates provided Pilot interrupted sleeping cabin halfway through - at about midnight - with long update On Departure and arrival plane was located away from gate and the bus journey seemed to take an eternity - in Edinburgh in particular"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "They didn't confirm the delay - only said it was estimated meaning while we could have come to the airport at a later time given the delay they made us come at the time required for the original flight. For a three hour delay thy gave us a 3GBP voucher. I will be fighting for compensation but am appalled by their service"
Cons: "Very late"
Pros: "Got to my destination"
Pros: "Efficient bag check, efficient boarding, on time departure, smooth flight."
Cons: "Flight delay"
Cons: "No entertainment options. Not a big deal."

Pros: "Easy and convenient"
Cons: "Clarity of front and rear entry instructions."
Pros: "Nothing"

Pros: "Crew was very nice!"

Cons: "The change inside the plane. My seats was changed several times."
Cons: "Plane was late as most Ryanair flights in the afternoon are expected to be."
Pros: "Straightforward process"
Cons: "N/a"
Cons: "The price of checking a bag cost twice as much as the flight...just the process of getting the bag checked was stressful would’ve been better served taking the train"
Cons: "Flight was delayed, but nothing to tell us it was delayed apart from the screens. I got priority booking for the flight and on the way home no one shouted or got priority passengers over so it was a waste of money."
Pros: "We had an emergency exit seat with extra leg room."
Cons: "Check in, delays, late arrival, luggage pick up too slow."
Cons: "Over 2 hour delay, and they lost my checked bag."
Pros: "The staff was good and attentive even under difficult circumstances."
Cons: "I took two flights today. Both were late. Ryanair also lost my baggage."
Cons: "We had to wait 2 hours on board + 1 hour 40mn in the airport !"
Cons: "Boarding at Stansted not good. Security took too long. When we arrived at the gate the departure board stated "final call" however the gate hadn't opened yet? No communication as to reason for this delay."
Pros: "Staffs are very helpful."
Cons: "Should get some drink at least some water."

Pros: "Price"
Cons: "Lateness and the waiting in the area to board with about 6 other flights in a small area with confusing announcements"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Everything"
Pros: "I took 1230 flight from stansted airport to Edinburgh. I carried a personal baggage with me on the plane then flight attendant took it away and told me I will get it back at the arrival belt. When I landed I couldn’t find mine. I had reported to the ground desk and they not helpful at all. So now I lost all of my travel documents and money. I feel so bad. This Tuesday I will fly back to Thailand and still don’t know how to redo my passport."
Cons: "Issues getting checked in. Multiple lines which we were ushered from and to only to be told to go back to self check kiosk. By the time we get to self check kiosk for the 2nd time our gate is closed and we’ve missed our flight. Not sure why the person at the check in counter couldn’t check our bags for us and get us moving through security??? No offer of any reimbursement and additionall cost for new flight later in the day at more than twice the cost of the flight we missed. Lack of clear direction or any semblance of customer service. I guess you get what you pay for..."

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Delayed, no info, bad service on board"
Pros: "staff in Dublin"
Cons: "Not Ryanair fault but it took over an hour to get our luggage at Edinburgh - no exaggerationas it took 75 min. Baggage staff said they were understaffed"
Pros: "Very unorganized and discretion about what was a carry on bag differed. I was charged an extrodinary fee while others did not."
Pros: "the price"
Cons: "the departure gate was never posted on the airport monitors. Someone close to us told us the gate was announced over head."
Pros: "Staff were friendly, and the flight was smooth, plane was clean."
Cons: "The flight was slightly delayed by the previous flight landing late. Obviously this happens, that's fine, but on landing at stanstead the bags from the hold were not released onto the baggage carousel for over an hour and a half after we landed. This is completely unacceptable and wasn't acknowledged by airport staff for over an hour, with no explanation given at any point."
Pros: "Nothing. Utterly horrible experience."
Cons: "I checked in two days in advance, had to pay for the check-in and baggage fee. There was no link sent to me to print out my boarding pass When we got to Stansted, there were no working kiosks. We went to the check-in desk, where apparently many people were having the same problem we were. My wife and I were told by a very rude Ryanair employee we hadn't checked in. I showed the woman my email receipt and she refused to honor it. We are challenging the charge on our credit card. She lectured us on showing up to the airport two hours in advance. We told her we had, but had been in line for 50 minutes. My wife paid 50 pounds each to check us in, even then the security set up was... labyrinthine. And mind you, I say that knowing full well how long an airport security line can be. When we got to the point where we were supposed to hand our boarding passes over to be scanned and verified, mine wouldn't work. I waited there while the security officer called the desk we'd just come from to verify I was allowed to fly. Mind you, we were being told the gate was about to close, so time was precious. After getting through that and security, we encountered another problem. If you don't know, Stansted airport is actually a mall with an airport somewhere inside. We ran through a long, snaking corridor of shops, following signs saying "all gates." It was an absurdly long run. I don't think I've seen any other airport laid out so poorly, most have shops mixed in with gates, but not Stansted. The gates are all at the end of this silly commercial strip. But not really, you see... when we got to the end, there were no gates, but trams to another terminal. We boarded the tram, got to our terminal and ran even faster to make our flight. Luckily, Ryanair is so disgustingly disorganized that the flight was delayed. Amazingly that which caused us so much stress ended up saving us. I will never fly on this pathetic, god-forsaken airline again. It is a scam designed to filch people who are in a desperate position out of money. Also, I would advise anyone to stay away from Stansted airport. Seriously, I've flown extensively in the Americas and have encountered some pretty chaotic facilities, but Stansted was utterly soviet in its disorganization. I'd rather wait for a bus at New York City's Port Authority bus station, navigating vomiting hobos, than deal with Ryanair, or Stansted airport, ever again."
Cons: "Terrible customer service. Rude people working."
Pros: "Good flight, friendly crew."
Cons: "Flight taxied from gate more than 40 minutes late. We stood in line to board for well over an hour."
Cons: "I checked in online as instructed. Then at the airport I am told I am not checked in, that online check in is over and that I have to pay £50 PER PERSON to get printed boarding passes. Then the flight was delayed over 90 minutes."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "The whole experience. Everyone we interacted with was just not nice or appreciative."
Pros: "Everything and everyone was on point apart that we had a perfect landing."
Cons: "That , they changed the gates with 20 minutes before embarking."

Pros: "Food and entertainment was not part of the deal. Fine with me."
Cons: "Everything was fine. 15 minute early arrival."

Pros: "Flight attendants were very nice."
Cons: "Charging £66+ just to print a boarding pass at the airport is ridiculous."
Pros: "Love the price"
Cons: "Service can be improved upon"
Pros: "I do not like the idea not able to take my hand luggage on the plane"
Cons: "Timing"
Cons: "Almost everything : surprise charge for not having printed out a boarding pas before I got to the airport : extortionate fee for checking on one bag : I guess I've been spoiled on other airlines with the privilege of being able to take a bag of luggage. This, together with the penalty for not checking in online more than doubled the cost! : be prepared for a long wait : very disorganized at the airport : they want you to arrive very early. : one of the flight attendants was pretty rude. : the flight was about an hour late : moral of the story is never take luggage on Ryanair : it's only meant for travelers who can keep up with the hidden fee schedule, travel light and who can put up with discomfort."
Cons: "Late, high extra fees for bags, horrible checkin process"
Pros: "Friendly crew"
Cons: "The seats are to close to one another and gets unconfortable fast"
Pros: "The crew"
Cons: "Free snack and 1 water could have been nice"

Pros: "It was very poor and misleading regarding the price. To charge 45 Pounds for a suitcase borders on rip off."
