Amman hotels near Ummayed Palace

Pros: Nice staff and located idealy for exploring Ammans main attractions such as the Citadel, the Roman Theatre and Rainbow street. Brekfast over expectation and the people working there really go out of their way in helping you find your way around the city.

Cons: Even though it is in the budget range, being a hotel and not a hostel one would expect some form of toiletries such as schampoo and soap which was not. Not a big deal and would return.

Pros: Nice breakfast Good rooms

Cons: Expensive laundry service that made all my clothes smell horrendous

Pros: located on the calm street near most central streets, good to have walks and visit main attractions it is possible to park a car just near the hotel on the street the bed was very comfy, clean and white linen (not frequent in Jordan) the breakfast was good

Cons: there was no real door between room and bathroom, just a kind of a screen

Pros: The hotel was well located in downtown Amman, about 10 minutes walk from the Roman Theatre. The staff are amazing! Friendly and helpful. Providing advice on places to eat, places to visit and transport. Special thanks to Bassam :) The hotel has a living room space that makes it easy to meet and socialise with other visitors.

Cons: Cleanliness of other visitors' use of the shared bathroom. Otherwise everything was great.

Pros: The owner Achmed is just lovely. Really keen to help out - if it’s information about how to get to the airport via bus or just where to eat the best food. The hostel is perfectly situated in downtown Amman, just across the road is an authentic arabian restaurant (Hashem restaurant) and a couple of meters down the road Habibah, the beste Kanafeh in Amman! The rooms are quite spacious for Hostel dorms and clean. The shower is warm and good.

Cons: Unfortunately there is no kitchen for people who prefer to cook their own food.

Pros: Cliff Hostel is right in the middle of the action in Amman, opposite the city’s most famous restaurant and close to many others, as well as being a short walk from the market, where you can get great cheap fruit, veggies, nuts, bread .. in fact there is hardly anything worth having you can’t find there. The hotel manager and staff are extremely helpful and friendly without being the least bit intrusive. Easy and interesting to walk uphill to the citadel, but take care because you can get lost easily in these streets. Also Suggest ear plugs for the noise of the city at night.

Pros: Cosy beds, great location but surprisingly quiet in the rooms.

Cons: Staff presence in the reception was sometimes a little daunting. A bit more friendly atmosphere could go a long way!

Pros: Very good location in Downtown Amman. Friendly hostel tender, he gave me some advice for the rest of my trip in Jordan. Tea served for free and all day long.

Cons: The street is very loud. Not possible to use the kitchen No toilet paper in the bathrooms (but this is a problem in the whole Jordan). Overall it is a good place if you just need somewhere to sleep.

Pros: Perfect location. Clean rooms and very friendly staff. Diner (3JD) and breakfast (2JD) can be ordered.

Cons: Cold shower.

Pros: Excellent location right in the heart of the downtown area surrounded by souks and many eating options. Accommodation is basic but adequate, with hospitable staff, hot water on demand and good breakfast as optional extra. Cold in winter but extra blankets provided.

Pros: That's the first time in Amman, It's a very nice city , and I had good luck to stay in amman pasha hotel , they have a better restaurant and coffee shop , they r too much friendly. You will rally enjoyed every moment.

Pros: Location and breakfast. There is a great Rooftop bar but it was raining when we where there so we didn't try it.

Cons: Furniture was very basic but ok for the price and for the location.

Pros: Very close to the Citadel and Roman theater, the heart of Amman downtown. Rooftop terrace with restaurant and Roman theater view. The restaurant serve beer and wine, not very common in the city (one 0.3 Petra beer is 3.5 JD without taxes). Safety parking, few blocks ahead, for only 2-3 JD/day. Otherwise is totally not recommended the street parking due the horrible traffic and driving style of Amman people.

Cons: Location is good but the surrounding area is not very clean and doesn't look too safe. The room not the best and not the cleanest but overall vs. expectations. Too much noise from the street (including nearby mosque calling to pray at 4.20am and again around 5am) Included breakfast not very various. For an omelette you had to pay additional 2 JD. The restaurant overpriced for the Amman (take care, 16% taxes are not included in the menu prices).

Pros: Arrived in the midst of Coronavirus pandemic. The staff were amazing. Despite their own personal uncertainties, they never let this affect their service level. Restaurant/ bar was fantastic - excellent food. An oasis of normality in a sea of change.

Cons: The rooftop area leaks in the rain.

Pros: The receptionist Aladin is the best thing in this hotel. He is very friendly and hepfull. He gave us usefull tips in Aman and gave us a heater, because the room was cold. I think the hotel has a good rating because of Aladin :)

Cons: We stayed there for 2 nights. The room didn't mach the photos provided in booking.com website. The water tap was broken and there was only hot water from boiler and we couldn't take a shower. After that we asked to change the room, and got the one that looked like in the photos when we ordered. This room was much cleaner and didn't have the smell. This room was ok, but the boiler is to small for 2 peaples to take the shower.

Pros: The breakfast was really tasty and good, we could get more if we wanted. Alladin, the receptionist was the nicest person we’ve ever met. Always up to help us!

Cons: Unfortunately it was really cold in the room and hot water in the shower was running for like 1 minute. However in the summer when it is really hot, this hostel should be fine.

Pros: Aladdin was super kind and helpful and made us feel at home Nice cozy room with custom lights, heating was broken but Aladdin brought us an additional heater that solved the problem Good breakfast Perfect location

Cons: It’s not a 4 star hotel, so do not expect luxury

Pros: It was very comfortable to stay here. Allahdin the Manager is very honest and helps you save alot of money while travelling around.

Pros: The owner tried to be really polite. We asked him heating,because it was cold and airconditioning was not functional, and he brought us 2 pieces of heating from home. The place is in walking distance to the centre and to the Citadel and The Roman theatre.

Cons: We expected an apartment but there were two separate small rooms. Windows only to the hall. Less equipment than written. The staircase to the hotel(it does not belong to the hotel but you cannot avoid it).

Pros: From the beginning The owner he gave me private room with same price of dorm room . Everything are very good. Perfect location near from city center. Quite area. Thank you Mr. Ahmad for everything,you are such a nice man.

Pros: Everyone was super friendly and helpful, the hotel is situated close to the jett bus station. The common space is nice to socialize or just chill. Highly recommend the place!

Pros: Everything was fine, the staff were very nice and they helped us a lot when we were in Amman. Every recommendation for the hotel and will definitely come here if we visit Amman again!

Pros: Really nice staff, willing to give tips. A bit of a family atmosphere. The room was good, with heating/air con, nice hot shower, the wifi even worked in the room.

Cons: Nothing much. The prices they gave us for transport were a bit on the high side, but we just sorted it elsewhere.

Cons: I couldn't sleep in the night from the cold roomsome other travellers had similar problem. Something funny also, while I was relaxing at my room the young receptionist came and told me that the owner wants me with authoritative style. I went to see what he wanted and he told me thqt he wanted to help me by booking me a taxi with 20 JD instead of to the airport and the buses are not very trustworthy. Ofc I did't listened him and I took the veru comfortable bus with 3,40 JD. Another funny story, while I was sitting at the main hall the other young receptionist approached me to ask me if I want something to drink. I asked how much is the shisha. He told me 8 JD only for me. Hehe, I told him.ofc not, then he told me 7 with drink. After a lot of tries, he ented up to offer me shisha plus drink with 3JD. Although a good offer, I did't accept ofc because trustworthiness was broken. Last but not least, once I checked in, they should give me back 5JD back. They told me later as they didnt have at that moment. It took me 3 reminders to give me back the money the next morning while I was late for the airport. And all these in one day!!
