It was a wonderful experience! I felt the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. Art was in the air. The room exceeded expectations and the location was perfect. It was quiet and peaceful at night - ideal for a relaxing stay. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.
Alex is an excellent host and the accommodation is first class. Breakfast is high quality and freshly prepared. The B&B is well located in a quiet street but is near transport links. Free WiFi (with a strong signal) is another plus.
The combination of a typical old Amsterdam house with latest standards for modern minimalistic design. A B&B experience with a touch of 5 star hotel at very reasonable rates. King size bed & king size shower & large, heavy towels. The friendly reception by the owner and the cosy breakfast on the top roof. Great location (5 minutes walking distance to Prinsengracht, 10 minutes to Leidseplein and Flowermarket) I loved it all
The perfect situation, and the confort of the room. Several things:The stairs are too steep, the WC has no door for intimicy and the breakfast with no many choices.
Great location and design and breakfast! Very frienly host, who made breakfast available half an hour before the official start! Breakfast starting from 08:30 is rather late for Business travellers - who would certainly like this B&B a lot otherwise!
The hotel owner was welcoming and helpful. The vibe was a laid-back, ultra-modern b&b - minimalist modern design elements throughout but without the impersonal coldness of chain hotels. The breakfast was great - fresh fruit, yogurt, bread & muffins, meat and cheese and eggs to order + coffee and teas. No.
Very good room and location. Our flight arrived at 7 am and we could not get the room untill 2 pm. Besides they didn´t give any welcoming cofee in a cold morning. We did not get any breakfast the next day because we leaved the room at 7.45 am
homelike atmosphere, typical Amsterdam residence house
One of the most beautiful rooms I have ever stayed in. The owner was so hospitable.
Bar and eating area were cool to hang and chill. The beds were a bit firm but I did not mind. Having to keep riding the ferry was a bit much but if you factor that into your commute you should be good. Currently there is a ton of construction on all sides which hindered me finding it the first time but once I found the bridge I was good.
Loved everything.perfect for young travelers. Lovely hosts!
The staff was extremely helpful. The room was fairly large and comfortable. The room was on the 3rd floor, up 3 flights of long, very steep stairs.
Good Location, Clean We have 2 children and having a very deep stairs inside the appartment was scary as I was really worried. Very small beds and no doors' locks
Fantastic location right next to Dam square, cool design, apartment staff were very accommodating for our late arrival
the location is excellent, just in the city center, but inside is very quiet. The personel is very helpful and pleasant it is difficult to find it, no sign
Once we were inside the apartment: excellent, excellent! what a surprise, down a rather dodge alley - reception is the rent-a-bike shop next door (thank heavens for the reviews). Location is perfect otherwise - walk everywhere. Spotless, everything on hand. The nice lady in bike shop recommended excellent place for lunch down the road -broodwinkeltje? Shower head was a bit troublesome! and towels are a little small! Heated towel rail was not working
This appartment accommodation lived up to the expectation we had from the pictures on the website. Yes, it is above a bike rental shop, just off the Dam Straat. Look out for the delicatessan shop, that seems to do a roaring trade all day and night! It is down the alley right next to it. Despite being bang in the middle of everything, the appartment is quiet and peaceful, apart from the noisy cats you hear talking to each other at night! Accommodation is clean, comfortable and warm. There is a large wok amongst the kitchen equipment, so we decided to pretty much self cater while we were there, having stir fries! Helpful staff down in the bike shop, but leave you to it, so you can do what you want. Nothing really - maybe need to be aware that the stairs are pretty steep - like most Amsterdam buildings - and there is no lift. Maybe the price was a bit expensive, but we felt it was worth being extravagent this time around! Also saved a bit on doing our own cooking.
