Hotel Bellagio - Bellagio - Bedroom
6
9.1 Excellent (1,148 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Hotel Bellagio in Bellagio, you'll be in the historical district, within a 15-minute drive of Villa Melzi and Villa Carlotta. Featured amenities include express check-in, a 24-hour front desk, and an elevator. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Purchased the room with a view and our jaws literally dropped to the floor once we walked into our room because of how unbelievable the view was. Aside from that, the furniture, decor, and amenities within the room are all very update and seemingly very new. The style of the furniture and decor are also fitting for a Lake Como hotel. The included breakfast was delicious and the entire staff was unbelievably sweet.
Cons: Keep in mind there is a good amount of stairs to walk up to the front door of the hotel in case you have a lot of luggage. But no complains whatsoever about this place. It was amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view from the room, everything was clean and in good condition. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was simple but perfect.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It had been a long-time dream of my wife’s to visit Lake Como and to stay in a hotel with character like Hotel Bellagio. The reception staff spoke English and were helpful and friendly, and provided great advice about parking our rental car. Breakfast and housekeeping staff were also friendly. The hotel was well located, and the many stairs we had to climb to get to it added to its charm. We appreciated being able to access the rooftop terrace but were a little disappointed we could not view the lake from it. The breakfast was good with adequate variety and located in Hotel Bellagio (we were expecting it to be at a “sister” hotel so this was a pleasant surprise). The room was clean, accept for the dust because it likely had not been occupied in awhile.
Cons: We didn’t pay for a lake view room so our room was in the back and because of the dust we found in it, our guess is it hadn’t been used recently as most guests would likely book a lake view room. My wife very much disliked that she didn’t have a sense of privacy as our room’s thicker curtains would not cover the entire windows (only the sheer curtains did), and our room could be looked into by neighbours and people walking the stair path. The Hotel Bellagio offered a 10% discount at a nearby restaurant... our advice is to eat somewhere else.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed here four times and continue to return as the location is great. Excellent presentation and spotless rooms. Good continental breakfast and nice outdoor terrace to have breakfast.
Cons: One area of improvement could be providing a small fridge in the room. For some the 34 steps to hotel entry could be a detractor but once there it is very comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location right downtown with parking garahe not too far. Very friendly staff who spoke great English. Clean, comfy and good size rooms.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The view in the room was priceless, even the bathroom had an amazing view. Worth every penny. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was delicious too.
Cons: Only critiques I have is the shower was lukewarm, it would not get very hot. Also the bed was two twin bed pushed together to make one big mattress, which was annoying because they would separate in the night and would have to be pushed back together.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was comfortable. The room was very clean. The staff was amazing, particularly the check - in and breakfast ladies.
Cons: The steps were a small issue. Not really a problem.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location.
Cons: Breakfast was not good. They should have a person to help take the luggage upstairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from our room was fabulous. Breakfast was fresh and delightful. The steps to the hotel we’re definitely easy to navigate. Close to main square and minutes to walk to wonderful restaurants and lovely shops. Ferries and water taxis are simple to navigate especially with the help of staff at the front desk. Family owned and operated. Can’t wait to return with our family.
Cons: Loved it all

7
9.1 Excellent (112 reviews)

Featured amenities include express check-out, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect (directly behind the 5* Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni which entitles you to use the resort’s facilities including pools, spa, workout rooms, etc). Beautiful veranda for drinks and the apartment was wonderfully appointed and you can make and have your coffee/drinks on its veranda overlooking Lake Como. Perfect in every way. Walking distance to heart of Bellagio including ferries, restaurants and shops (save room in your suitcases for silks and shoes). Free parking is great perk although driving to Bellagio is a hair-raising experience.
Cons: Nothing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, location, location. In the heart of Bellagio - walk out your front door and you are literally in the center of town in 3 minutes. An easy walk through the beautiful gardens and you are at the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni with full access to their pool, beach, restaurant, etc. AMAZING!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We liked that we could be on the Hotel Serbolino property with full use of the facilities.
Cons: The bed and pillows were uncomfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, quiet, central location, spacious and access to the hotel facilities (the pool is great). The hotter restaurant is also excellent.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Free on site parking. Clean spacious apartment which can fit in two couples. Beds, bathroom, kitchen - all in an excellent condition. City centre and restaurants are just a 4-5 minute walk away.
Cons: We could use a washing machine in that apartment. The checkout has to be done at a nearby hotel which apparently owns these apartments. Not a big deal but you have to walk about 5 minutes to the hotel and then back to the parking lot.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 5 star facilities and cleanliness at 3 star prices.
Cons: Quite a hill to walk up behind the hotel. You’ll need to be relatively able bodied.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is wonderful - set back from the bustle but close enough to use as a base - with a free hotel shuttle into the local town (which takes about 5mins!) - we also walked the route to the town which was also very pleasant. The views are to die for!!! The room was very comfy and we went for a suite which was definitely worth the extra as the view was uninterrupted and incredible! The staff were all so helpful and friendly, and were always keen to make sure that we had everything we needed. Breakfast was very reasonable and offered a reasonable spread (considering the hotel size) which set us up well for the day!
Cons: N/a
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the resort was perfect as it was away from the old town Bellagio, yet convenient by way of daily shuttle van. The included breakfast was an added bonus. The hotel staff were extremely knowledgeable and offered recommendations for dinner and daily excursions. Liked being able to do some laundry during our lengthy vacation.
Cons: Can't think of anything! We enjoyed our stay!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great Lake view, private car parking, shuttle to the city Center and back, clean and large lake facing rooms.
Cons: Neighbours dogs were barking endlessly all day and often all night. Could be a problem for rooms located at that end of the property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was stunning with a great view everywhere of Lake Como. The room was perfect with panoramic water views where we could sit and watch the ferries and other boats pass plus the sunrise and sunset. It is also out of the Centre of Bellagio therefore it's quiet but a convenient shuttle bus gets you to and from town if you don't want to tackle the windy roads. Breakfast was also great with all options.
Cons: Nothing to fault
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Views, staff, views!
Cons: The bed wasn’t comfy

Pros: The location is absolutely fabulous. The staff very courteous and helpful. A must stay site.
Cons: Just to be nitpicky - the room could be maintained better with cleaner towels.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view from our room was realy beatiful, the terrace was a perfect place to relex and watch the lake
Cons: A little bit far from the city center

Pros: One of the best places I've ever stayed in Italy! Located just in the heart of Bellagio, walking distance to all attractions and to the ferry port, beautiful garden, spacious, clean and well-equipped room, wi-fi, easy contact with the owner. I would definitely come back there!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bright, airy apartment with lemon tree blossoms perfuming the air. Right in the middle of Bellagio. Laundromat was next door. Didn't want to leave. Wonderful.
Cons: Driving through town on a street that looked like a sidewalk was awkward, at first. But, there is parking at the church about one block away that was convenient.

Overview Reviews

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Free morning breakfast was very nice. Was able to get a room for 3 adults which is rare in Europe.
Cons: Our room overlooked an auto repair shop and roundabout so noisy when the windows are open. But spectacular view of the lake and mountains. Just city living at its finest!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was very spacious and offered a lake view. We found it quiet. You don't smell the gas station in front of the house. There's ample parking and that's a benefit over downtown Bellagio - the walk isn't too far.
Cons: Breakfast bread rolls were a bit sub-par due to size. I would prefer yogurt and jam served bowls instead of single-serving yogurts/jams to reduce plastic waste.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast buffet was much larger than many other places. This hotel has a great combination of having free parking while still being walkable from the town center (and the 10-15min walk is beautiful, with great mountain/lake views). The bedroom and bathroom are both large, with ample space to walk around even with luggage everywhere. It's also much quieter being just a bit outside of the crowded city center.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property was in a great location, only 10/15 minutes steady stroll from the centre. The hotel was spotless, the breakfast was fantastic and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: Nothing to improve, it was all brilliant!
7.9 Good
Pros: Location Bellagio is one of the most beautiful places I ever seen.
Cons: Breakfast was very, very poor.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious and cosy apartments in historic center of Bellagio.
Cons: Bed was terrible: double bed made with two single- size mattresses. There is no way for a couple to sleep in that bed without somebody ending up on the bed frame in the hole between mattresses, which easily shift apart.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was nice. The room was big and the kitchen very convenient.
Cons: That the restaurant was closed on Thursday and we didn't know before.
6.7 Good
Pros: The location was excellent, just a 2 minute walk from Bellagio lake side.
Cons: We had room 2 which was extremely noisy. It overlooked the restaurant but the main noise we found was early in the morning from delivery staff and the apartment above us seemed to constantly be moving chairs around at 4am. The walls are thin so be prepared to hear other toilets flushing when you're trying to sleep. The rooms are very basic and the beds not the most comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was clean, modern and great distance for doing everything. Staff was super nice and easy going.
Cons: A tad bit noisy, but room is over a restaurant and we were there On a Friday night. No biggie really but some might not like the noise.

Pros: Absolutely fantastic the size of the apartment was great as was the bathroom and kitchen right in the heart of Bellagio.
Cons: N/A
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location right in the heart of old town Belaggio. Food in the restaurant was excellent. We were there on October and parking was fine but I can imagine it might be more difficult in the busy months
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: We have a totally different expectations about the place and the host .The host have rude behaviour about us .All night the room was cold ,because the air conditioner doesn’t work .then I told him and he started arguing with me about the temperature which is 13 degrees .Even though he starts to laugh and push hard the door .About the food the price is to high for the quality of dishes .We paid almost 200 euro for a rude behaviour an cold room .

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great central location, hence Hotel Centrale. Family run hotel, very friendly family and the room was exceptionally clean as was the bathroom. The view into the courtyard was lovely with all the many plantings.
Cons: the mattress could be updated, I could feel the spirals of it in my ribs. No good. Otherwise nothing to report.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the Terrace, gardens and breakfast room. Warm welcome and helpful staff. Enjoyed the Americano coffee with breakfast and the delicious cakes.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was such a wonderful stay! We liked it so much that we changed our plans prolonged our stay for 3 days more. The location is not on the first line, but it is not the negative side, on the opposite it is not so loud and everything is still on the doorstep. Keep in mind that there are steps on the way to the hotel, but it is specific for Bellagio. The staff is extremely nice, friendly and super helpful, always in a good mood, even singing while no one is listening ) The room and the whole house are sparkling clean. Small green garden and a terrace are cozy and fresh, though it was raining hard (btw they have umbrellas for this case). The breakfast is fine and you can sip your coffee quietly even after the breakfast hours are over, no one will tell you that the restaurant is already closed. We liked so much our room on the third floor. It was light and very comfortable. The view was stunning - to the nice small garden and you even could see the lake and the mountains. The window in the ceiling was amazing. The furniture in the room and in the house looks very noble and tasteful. The bedclothes and towels were snow white. There is no kettle in the room, but we asked for it and they gave it to us without any problems (as well as the glasses for wine, corkscrew and whatever we’ve asked for). And the terrific thing - they helped me to find and bring flowers for my wife’s birthday and gave her a wonderful present and wished her a happy birthday with almost all the team very sincerely. That was so touching and nice. Gorgeous place and amiable people, love them very much.
Cons: Maybe the only negative thing is that the shower is a bit tiny and uncomfortable, you always have a small flood after taking a shower even if you are a super accurate person.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was quiet and clean and very friendly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at Hotel Centrale at the recommendation of a friend and couldn't be happier with our choice. The hotel is in the heart of Bellagio and is owned/run by a multi-generational family of whom Michael was the main "front man". First location.... The hotel is truly in the middle of the small village with many restaurants/shops within a stone's throw and the main street is only a short walk away (1-2 minutes). The only down point is to get to the hotel, one must walk up about a block length of stone stairs from the main street. Not really for anyone with ambulation problems. But then again, the entire town of Bellagio is a bunch of up/downhill streets and stairs - probably not the best place to visit for someone who is unable to walk. Second, the staff. Again we couldn't be happier with our experience. Michael was personable, friendly, and very helpful. He actually called the hotel we were going to next (in Cinque Terre - a big storm had gone through that area) to make sure everything was alright before we headed down there. Third, the breakfast (included) was one of the highlights of our stay. Delicious, warm, and filling. It was wonderful to start our day with a leisurely meal before heading out. Fourth, the accommodations... The hotel had a beautiful, well kept garden and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They placed a tea tray in our rooms in the afternoon with tea/coffee/baked goods - so lovely to come home to this. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms were modern and efficient. They also included free WIFI which was convenient. All in all, we highly recommend the Hotel Centrale!!!

Pros: location, location, location!
Cons: room was LOUD at night - bars played music until 2 am
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is about 3-4 minutes walk-distances from ferry terminal and right by the lake .Provide far more adequate Breakfast.
Cons: No
7.9 Good
Pros: The location was right on the lake, but that also meant you had ferry boats idling at docks, with fumes. The staff was very friendly. Its
Cons: Its an older property, and is in need of updating. The elevator is tiny, with a three person max. The beds and pillows were like sleeping on concrete.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: great location
Cons: rooms could be more spacious
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The rooftop terrace was INCREDIBLE. Had the whole area to ourselves, a few bottles of wine and nibbles and had the most incredible view of the Lake for sunset. The hotel is also PERFECTLY located. Right near the ferry and main part of town!
Cons: Breakfast buffet was not replenished regularly, and we were told we couldn't sit on the terrace for breakfast, when there was no valid reason not to and the reception staff had informed us we could. The dining room was completely packed so we sat outside anyway and were made to feel like this was a huge issue. It's Lake Como - like I wouldn't want to enjoy my breakfast sitting on the terrace?!

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel & our room had an awesome view. The room was great on the corner with balcony on both sides. The staff & especially the owner were great & very helpful. Only issue was hotel was far from the town without having car, needed to rely on staff to get back & forth.
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff and the view, and a guy who is serving the breakfast
Cons: The view from the room was not exactly the same as in the picture.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The mother was great and very friendly, the room was spacious and the view was spectacular. I would stay there again as long as they can assure me that the room I get doesn't smell like cigarette.
Cons: The room smelled like cigarette really bad. The furniture in the room and furniture could use a designer, the son who took our order at dinner was either very stressed and tired and was a bit short and not very welcoming (Rude) not only to us but to another couple who were sitting right next to us for dinner. He made it up the next morning at breakfast with a smile and greeting.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and the location superb, the room great. The shuttle bus service is a great idea and it works. Even though we were there in October, so almost at the end of the season and everyone seemed very tired (all over the region), Il Perlo Panorama staff were very kind. I contacted them beforehand by e-mail and got all the information I needed. The staff can communicate very well in English. Our towels were changed daily. Breakfast was fine!
Cons: The only thing I would have changed were the rugs in front of the bed, they were rather dirty/dusty. The breakfast location could use some renovation/cheering up, but for a 2 star hotel it is fine I guess.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Aside from the breathtaking view of the lake, the highlight was the hospitality of the owner Carlo and his mother Piera! They welcomed us in with open arms and made sure we felt at home during our stay.
Cons: it couldnt have been more perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the team, the staff are unbelievable. So friendly and warm
Cons: Everything was perfect

7.9 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good and the room was nice and clean. The terrace has a great view of the lake. Staff at the restaurant was super friendly. The road up to the hotel was nice and well maintained.
Cons: It gets pretty noisy at night since the pub works right downstairs and we had trouble with sleeping. Didn't feel safe to park the car next to it.
7.9 Good
Pros: Loved the location, perfect view over Lago di Como, but not so close that the noise from bars and clubs could disturb you. It has parking facilities which is very handy also.
Cons: It did not bother me much as I was just looking for a place to stay but the room interior, does give you the feeling that you have just stepped into a time machine, direction backwards to somewhere in the 80s. If you miss a small boxy tv, and old mismatched pieces of furniture you will find it charming.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: the location and the view. excellent restaurant and very nice and helpful staff
Cons: the rooms are a litlle old, but it does not bother me
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Completely not recommend! Very rude stuff!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome location overlooking Lake Como with fantastic food and staff. A big thank you to Stefano for sorting the rice to dry out the water ingress in my Sat Nav and to the Hotel owner for picking me and Jane up from Bellagio when we missed the last bus! Jane and I highly recommend staying here!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The guy who runs the hotel - very helpful and kind. The view of Lake Como
Cons: The hotel feels tired and down at heel. There is rubbish in the grounds. Facilities are lacking, breakfast was minimal and not fresh. Basically its an old hotel in need of serious updating.
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff are warm and friendly although you must make an effort to speak Italian as English is minimal. The view of the lake is truly beautiful. You get what you pay for! It isn't a four star hotel and they don't pretend to be either and my room and bathroom were very clean as well as I had a great view of the lake from my balcony. Pool is great.
Cons: If you don't have a car then you have to rely on taxis (which are rare). When I left and arrived the hotel owner collected me which cost me 50 (25 euros each way) euros in total for a 20 minute drive (one way). The buses up and down from Bellagio are reduced in August and the last bus from Bellagio is at 6:35pm so you have to cut your evening short in Bellagio if you don't have a car. The bed was very hard and I didn't sleep well my entire stay.

Cons: The bed wasn’t comfy
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is absolutely fabulous. The staff very courteous and helpful. A must stay site.
Cons: Just to be nitpicky - the room could be maintained better with cleaner towels.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view from our room was realy beatiful, the terrace was a perfect place to relex and watch the lake
Cons: A little bit far from the city center

7.5 Good
Pros: Location was good. Room was simple but clean and neat.
Cons: The owner Flavio was very helpful during our stay, but at the time of checkout there was a mistake regarding the bill, he entered a wrong amount (wrong decimal) on the card machine and when we pointed it out he got quite aggressive and his tone of voice changed quite rapidly as he felt as if we were accusing him of cheating. He then repeated the process but he wasn't happy that we pointed it out and did it in a very rushed and hurried manner and his behaviour flustered us. This left a sour taste in our mouths after an excellent stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything ran very smoothly. Flavio, the owner, was excellent and very good with communications so we knew exactly what we were doing regarding getting into apartment as we arrived very late at night. He also gave us good advice regarding places to eat. The apartment was super and everything you could possibly need was there. The location was perfect and we would definitely hope to stay here again. Will also tell family and friends. Bellagio is a beautiful place and the people are very friendly and helpful. Loved it.
Cons: There was nothing about Residence Il Borgo not to like.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Flavio was incredibly helpful and met me at the ferry port to show me how to get to the apartment. He helped me with my luggage and pointed out good restaurants along the way. Apartment itself was in a great central location and as expected and clean and comfortable.
Cons: Bed squeaked and not as comfortable and walls/floors were thin because I could hear the people upstairs.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom was in the mezzanine level with several roof windows and small windows looking out to town. While we visited there was quite a bit of rain and it was nice to hear the rain patter at night. There was also a spacious closet next to the bedroom. Information about nearby hikes and ferry schedule was readily supplied.
Cons: We stayed four nights and it was not clear ahead of time whether we would get any kind of linen service in between. We did not in fact, and such service would have been a nice touch.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect, the apartment was clean and comfortable. It was close to restaurants, shops and the ferry terminal. Our hosts Flavio and Sylvia were welcoming and friendly and were knowledgeable about which restaurants had gluten free options. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay and it was lovely to hear the sound of the church bells each morning as we sat with the balcony doors open having breakfast. We will definitely be back!
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is great. The owner is friendly ready to help you with any information you need, the room is clean and the bed comfortable, and the location is great right in the heart of Bellagio. I'll come back here for sure.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Flavio was a great & helpful Host. Clean & Spacious apartment. easily accommodated 3 adults & a toddler. Location of the Apartment was awesome ( but no lake view).
Cons: Wifi was a little erratic & slow.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: it is peaceful and quiet despite locating at the center of the town. Comfortable and clean room.
