Overview

In the centre of Bern's old town, the Best Western Plus Hotel Bern, Bern, Switzerland, hides a modern interior behin,d a historic front, a short walk from the station and next to the famous Zytglogge clock tower, our rooms include coffee machines, free Wi-Fi and safes, and a restaurant and bar serving traditional dishes made with local produce. Step out the door to the Zytglogge, the French Church and Bern's arcaded shopping streets, with the riverside and the city's museums close by. The station is a short walk away. Bern is the capital of Switzerland, its sandstone old town wrapped in a loop of the green River Aare and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Six kilometers of covered arcades shelter shops and cafés along the medieval lanes, the old Zytglogge clock has chimed since the Middle Ages, and brown bears roam a riverside park below the cathedral terrace. Swimmers float down the swift, clear Aare through the middle of town each summer.
