room
all was good
Walls are thin. I could hear the entire phone conversation the woman next door was having at 11pm. I could here loud kids across the hall as well. Additionally, they have sensor lights in the room that cause the entire room to light up in the middle of the night, even when everyone is asleep.
Thin walls! And very loud, with terrible beds
The hotel was nearly empty on 12-25-15 Christmas. But they still choose to put us next to an employees families young children who where yelling and banging into our wall where our bed was. Asked for ear plugs, they had none. It really set us back being overly tired for our road trip to Florida. I will never stay here again.
Bugs in the bed!!
We chose to stay here due to the price compared to other hotels in the area. That was a big mistake. The employee who checked us in was sick and coughing. We had to ask for a couple extra pillows as there was only two in the room. Then we found the bugs in the bed! We ended up leaving the light on all night hoping that would keep the bugs at bay. Obviously we were not comfortable we hardly slept. Upon checkout the employee was rude and wasn't worried about helping those checking out.
Staff was excellent, facility was well maintained, indoor pool, very interesting decor throughout hotel. Nice restaurant and bar at hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends.
Tough check in
Rate
After the great difficulty at check in, my expectations were not very high. Because we could not get in until midnight we experienced nothing besides the room which was pleasant but a little dated Bed was comfortable. Kids found a cheeto in their bed. Again it was a bargain with non professional staff so I wasn't all that surprised. For another $10 you can find better.
Friendly staff. Conveniently located to downtown, airport, and restaurants. Great value for the price. Located next to Tony Roma's.
The bed mattress was not very comfortable, it seemed very lumpy. Otherwise, it was a rather nice place to stay.
Formerly Nice Hotel
Pillows were awful. AC was loud. Wallpaper was peeling. No source of hot water for tea. Used to be a really nice hotel, when it was Jumers. Going downhill fast. I see why it's so cheap. Won't be going back.
An aged hotel, but a bargain for the price.
Room was clean and convenient. This hotel was great when it was new, but now has aged past it's prime. But for the price it's a bargain. Good location, plenty of parking, and close to many shopping and dining options. No wow factor, big frugal factor.
AC units starting to show age and can be a little noisy.
Great value for the price!
Clean, quiet, well maintained property located near dining and shopping.
NICE HOTEL
We enjoyed our stay. Hotel was clean, staff very nice. We LOVED the Tomy Roma Restaurant; food was delicious great value and the staff was extremely efficient and nice. We ate there for our dinner and breakfast meals. WONDERFUL!!
Noisy and Noisy!! We could hear the person in the next room clearing their throat as if they were standing right next to us. Also heard every footfall from the floor above us, even ones in the hallway. That really should be fixed as it is not desirable to clients for revisiting. We ran a fan all night and was so glad we did!
Horrible beds. Very noisy.
One of the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. The heater in the room was extremely noisy but it was too cold to turn it off. Woke me up evey half-hour or so. The smallest noise in the hall travelled gage length of the hotel and into the room. Would not stay here again.
"Situated in Bloomington, this hotel is 0.2 mi (0.3 km) from The Shoppes at College Hills and 2.8 mi (4.5 km) from Illinois State University. OSF HealthCare and Eastland Mall are also within 2 miles (3 km). "
