There was a very relaxed atmosphere and the service was friendly. The hotel was directly on the lakeside, which was excellent.
Very friendly and helpful reception staff - excellent. Breakfast staff a little surly except for one very friendly young water.
Excellent reception staff, beautiful place, food good.
Very friendly staff. Great hotel, we wish we had stayed longer. We will return.
An excellent hotel with fantastic unspoilt views. The fact that this hotel sits right on the lakes edge is a real bonus. Extremely good value for money with friendly and helpful staff, ample parking and a quiet location yet within reach of many local adequate restaurants. We found it worth making the extra effort to travel to Malcesine in the evenings which required a car as Bus service is limited and taxis are expensive (30 Euro round trip) We would have no hesitation in returning to Hotel du Lac A small fridge in the room would have been useful to chill water and possibly a local beer or two as the local bars appeared to favour German Brands. Excellent selection of local wines though!
peacefull relaxing freindly atmosphere very enjoyable
Loved being directly on the lake. No road to cross and free use of kayaks. Waterfront restaurant served a great buffet breakfast and offered a very casual, relaxed atmosphere. Lounges on the lawn were comfortable and plentiful. As well, the grounds were kept spotless. It was well worth the upgrade to a superior room as we had a great view of the lake and mountains and our room was very spacious for an European hotel. Updated bathroom a real pleasure. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it to friends. Can't understand why it is only 3 stars?? The A/C in our room never really cooled the room - thermostat constantly read 25- 26C - glad we had the lake. It would be great to have the outdoor patio open for dinner - it was too nice to be inside in the evenings even at the beautiful restaurant on the top floor
Shower cubicle door runners worn out allowing doors to come off their tracks. Bathroom not cleaned very well and not re-stocked with soap etc.
Great location, perfect garden and excellent service. There is no outer pool.
It is run by an Italian family who were so pleasant and very helpful with everything which made the stay so much more enjoyable.
Relative kindness of the staff; location on the lake shore (because of the view) Absolutely misleading information on the hotel website regarding the facilities: (1) so-called "indoor pool" is in fact the "outdoor pool" - I suppose the water temperature is too low when the outside temperature is below 25 degrees C; (2) the "sauna" cabin harldy deserves its name - the temperature inside was approx. 50 degrees C; (3) the room was not cleaned; (4) "quadruple" room cannot accomodate 4 adults at all - it can be used only for 2 adults + 2 children
Hotel is wonderful. A warm welcome. Ther is a very rich buffet for the breakfast. All the hotels staff is very very kind end friendly. The room is completely clean end the view is beatiful. The beach is wonderful. Hotel Stupendo. Accoglienza perfetta. Il Buffet della colazione molto ricco, e tutto il personale veramente, veramente gentile. Pulizia perfetta e vista incredibile. La spiaggia è bellissima, non avrei mai pensato una cosa del genere.
We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights and we liked the hotel and area. Nice and quiet place, but so close to Monte Carlo and/or Nice. Owners of the hotel were so kind and hospitable. We're coming back.
We thank you very much for our wonderfull holidays in your hotel Eden. The service was very, very good, the weather was beautiful and the lake is wonderful. We our already looking out for our next holiday in 2010 if everything stays allright. It is a nice experienced that we will never forget.
Very nice location, in a quiet small village. Quite good breakfast, and a very nice restaurant with beatiful views and good food. Very, very basic rooms, specially the bathroom. There was no bath or shower, just a curtain over a wastepipe on the floor.
quiet, on lake, excellent breakfast our room was very small,
Anna Alba and her Son, Pietro were most welcoming as was the young lady on reception who gave us the choice of four rooms in the 'superior' category. The room we chose was spacious and had a balcony overlooking the lake. We loved the location - away from a noisy and busy main road but very close for visiting other resorts either by car or ferry. We thought the addition E12 for half board was very reasonable and the limited menu fresh and tasty. A good choice available for breakfast. The outside restaurant was always busy - a good sign that food is good, however, it did appear that a la cart diners were given a preferential service than that for the half board hotel guests! We felt the hotel was showing signs of becoming a bit run down. The garden with the hot tub was 'scrubby'. The dining room looked like a 1950's tea room, with our hostess bringing and serving food for the half board guests off a hospital style trolley! The entrance to the dining and breakfast rooms from reception was a jumble with a bar and machines and crockery/glasses for drinks. Some mornings the area around the fruit juice machine was scattered with dirty dishes from the night before! Although very clean our bathroom was very dated and needed refurbishment.
excellent staff! the family was very nice and friendly. the view from the hotel was beautiful. extremely small bathrooms and no hot water in the shower.
The hotel is on the edge of Lake Garda giving fantastic views for the rooms on the Lake side. The dining room has panoramic windows giving the same views with the lake only a few meters away! Breathtaking! The hotel staff are very helpful, efficient & polite & as this is a family run hotel there is a lot of pride in the service. Food in the restaurant is excellent & we found it to be the busiest on evenings in Brenzone, speaks for itself. The room cleaning was fine but things like soap, shampoo & plastic drinking glasses were not replaced on a daily basis!
Hotel Brenzone had all the amenities we needed and is positioned in a quiet spot. Room with balcony is a must for the lake view. Very good breakfasts and evening meal, service friendly and helpful. There was little variety for vegetarians so we prefered to eat elsewhere. Good ferry service but not so frequent from here. Friendly receptionist and waitress. The hotel owner seemed aloof and the local shop owned by the family was run by a disagreeable woman who was offhand and unhelpful towards us as English people. The bus service is a dead loss. The transfer company used by the hotel was satisfactory, it was on time and dropped us off at the hotel but on return we had to ask our nice waitress to push our cases up a steep hill to the minibus stop.
Hotel fine nice area Booking in chaotic
Check in chaotic, 45 minutes plus
Views of the lake were fantastic. The hotel's restaurant offered great local dishes and the staff were friendly and helpful. No air conditioning or fans so rooms were very hot and sleeping was uncomfortably hot!
The staff and the owner of the hotel is very very kind and it makes you feel at home with the place. The hotel was great we liked it, it's the transportation from Verona station to our hotel is terrible!!!!!! We waited at least 2hrs on the bus stop from gardaland to castelletto....please do something with that because there are allot of tourists that doesn't use their car to travel around verona...and wanted the public transport!!!! Add more buses please...
If you windows face the lake, it's a great view. If you get the other side - you face a relatively noisy road. Pillows weren't very comfortable. WiFi works only from the lobby! You need a car to get there - nothing is around it in a couple of km radius at least. Plenty of free parking, though.
Location on Lake Garda No air conditioning (except in lobby)
Very nice and helpfull owners / staff. Excellent stay.Nice size and comfortable rooms. No.
When the weather is fine with summer sun, the hotel is well situated with a small paved beach. There are sunbeds available, a small bar by the beach. There is a nice breakfast which can be ingested on a magnificent terrace with lake - view. The hotel is old, worn - but charming. We got an old room with view to the backside of the hotel. A shower, which was almost impossible to turn around in. Boring! and certainly not lived up to neither the expectations or price.
Very friendly relaxed hotel with hands-on owner managers, easy access to all Lake Garda sites.
We stayed for two nights and loved our room. It had fabulous views over the lake. It was so easy to get to the beach from the lower floor and there were sunbeds and lilos for you to use. The breakfasts were excellent and we enjoyed eating with the lake view. Unfortunately the evening meal, although delicious, was very frugal and not value for money. We ate out the next night.
Nothing! I LIKed nothing. This is just terrible. It is just terrible. They disappointed us soo much, as never before anyone did. They cheated us, I would suggest noone to go there!
fine friendly and hospitality! very kind.
Very well located overlooking Lake Garda with excellent view from room balcony.
The hospitality of owners and his family was excellent and the lake view from our room was absolutely amazing. A little bit noisy place (by night - cars, bikes, barking dog)
Very friendly. great hotel.
Very helpful staff.Very Clean.Nice Area. Will go back there again.
The location was wonderful - we had a great view of Lake Garda from our balcony. The room was very clean and the double bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The smaller bed in our triple room was quite small and not as comfortable as the double. The shower curtain could be better, since water came out all over the bathroom.
Excellent balcony with great view! Free parking. Small bathroom. Bed not so comfortable. Check in/out times a little tight.
staff, location, price
The couple running it were helpful although with restricted English. The place was clean but basic (in line with the star ratings) but the breakfast was generous and well above average. Having in-house parking was also an advantage. No
Situated right next to Lake Garda Heating in room could not be controlled - cold. Unexciting breakfast. No bath.
The view was wonderful. The staff did not seem very friendly to us (Americans). Also it was hot during our stay and the staff only turned on the air conditioning for part of the day and would shut it off during the middle of the night.
Good location, gastronomy , pool. Friendly staff. Ok ok ok.
Location by Lake Garda..............plus balcony It was somewhat unfortunate that a request had to be made forthe Sir Conditioning to be switched on at reception. This was not made clear on arrival and first night was uncomfortable
Views from the room were lovely. Cleaning staff were exceptionally nice. Yes. The pool was freezing despite the 28c temperature outside. We could not use it. The main reason we picked this hotel was because it had a pool. This was a huge disappointment and I feel we paid for something we did not get. The breakfast could be more varied as it was the exact same every single morning of our 7 day stay. I emailed the hotel 1 week before our stay to change one of our rooms to a single instead of double room. I arrived at the hotel and was told we would have to pay full rate for a double despite the 1 weeks notice. This was 250euro extra than what we should have paid though we were already paying 70e for a cot. The cot should have been free.
The staff were extremely helpful & friendly. Food was good, and the hotel and pool area were very clean. The Hotel location on the edge of Lake Garda was perfect and the views from the balconies were stunnning.
Friendly staff, good atmosphere, clean, great location, a la carte dining excellent. Unfortunately the car park was not large enough but everybody was good natured about 'double parking'
It was only 5min drive from my friends hotel called Benecus. i spent most of my time there, it was far better and cheaper.
It,s position, Fabulous. Wonderfull Staff, especially the Manager Bed could have been bigger. Being over 6ft , it was not comfortable., having a board at the end of the bed. Regards Peter Scott
This is a very well-run family hotel with outstanding customer service. We have stayed there twice over a time span of 7 years and enjoyed it both times. It is not a luxury hotel by any means but a very clean and friendly accomodation with good food and proximity to Malcesine. n/a
Everything, Fantastic time at Club da Baia Hospitality and staff were outstanding and very professional The food was supurb and well presented and priced We have stayed in many hotels, and Club da Baia was the best vacation ever We highly recommended it to all our friends and colleges. We would like to thank Mathis, Family and ALL staff for a very relaxing welcoming and comfottable stay And will see you very soon again.
the room was o.k., although there was no chair and no soap. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent and the surroundings as well as the situation of the hotel was very picturesque (just by the see). The people at the reception were very friendly. The young girl that served at the table was distracted.
The room was lower quality than suggested by website ("top room"), it was not fully cleaned. Breakfast was not available before 9.00am, even if we specifically asked for it for 8.30. Unfriendly staff.
A small, modern but very cozy hotel just by the harbor. Very friendly atmosphere and a fantastic view from my room. Excellent value for money. There was no TV and elevator. Getting warm water in the shower took forever.
1. The staff are fantastic! They were very welcoming, friendly and happy and a pleasure to speak to. 2. Perfectly located by the sea, for cycling, using the lake, doing as little as possible and touring but far from hustle and bustle. 3. In the evening, the hotel felt very special with a tinge of cosmopolitan living with excellent alfresco food and music. 4. I hope that I will visit again.
the quiet surroundings and cleanliness. n/a
Clean and nice flat, quite peacefull (there are only 8 flats in villa) . Good position- near lake. Just few minutes walk down the hill there is a beach and a little suppermaket where a fresh bread every morning is available. A parking place for the car was available. Nice swimming pool. Good place to stay with a family. No hair dryer.
Excellent location and views. Much better accommodation than expected. Helpful, friendly people who run it. Private, gated parking. Recommended. Nothing we didn't like, but bring your own linen/towels or pay 30 euros to have them provided.
Location is excellent, great views of Lake Garda, and the size of the villas are sufficient even for large families. The pool is nice and the grounds are kept immaculate. A great environment for relaxing. An internet connection would be helpful, as there are no options nearby. The charge for linens is a bit excessive (we paid 40 Euros to use linens for two days). Of course, when I checked later, this is mentioned on their own website. As a courtesy, however, perhaps Booking.com should mention on their website to bring linens, as we were surprised by this charge. The noise from other rooms can be heard- we heard the family above us late into the night. However, the place is well worth the money, aside from the charge for linens.
