Very very close to the lake. Great brekfast on the terrace. Very kind staff.
The location. It's close to the main square.Breakfast is decent. The owner is a nice person The hotel is a two star one.By no means it is a three-star hotel.Furniture is basic. No tv channels on tv except for the main ones.No room in the toilet which is too small. No view from the window (a big wall just in front of u!), no plastic bags in the toilet bin.Water drops falling from the toilet tap every second.Toilet flash not working.
Excellent position, close to the Arena. Friendly and helpful staff, and parking available, at a cost, but very useful. We will be back..
Breakfast was ok, nice clean and silent hotel. Friendly staff.Beautifull view from the dining room over the lake. No foreign language spoken, not even english or german. Tv on the room missing. We got a room for disabled people, which means no curtain around the shower. No view from the window, looking to the wall of the next house, 1 meter away from the window
People were nice, the room was nice and breakfast good.
It is worth staying here just for the view at breakfast directly across Lake Garda from the very edge of the lake. Helpful and welcoming staff
Location in Gargnano village away from state highway, at the lake front. WiFi access with accurate billing. Dark and small room, wall opposite the window only 2m away, no view, hard matresses. Only 3-bed rooms available online, were charged for 3 even the room had only 2 beds and no space for a 3rd. Hotel has only 4 rooms with lake view, those are recommended. Some street noise late night from people and mopeds, otherwise quiet. No ventilation or a/c, open window a must (bring your own mozzie protection
Excellent hotelroom, airconditioning, very nice modern bathroom and we even had our own balcony! Breakfast at the terrace is perfect with a very nice view on Lake Garda. When asked for a breakfast to go, because of our early leave from the hotel, this was not a problem at all!
The family run hotel was friendly and attentive. The breakfast area overlooking Lake Garda was especially nice as it give our family a nice start to our time in the Lake Garda area. Given that the hotel literally is overlooking Lake Garda and in a small town of Gargnano, parking is a bit of a challenge. Hotel does have an arrangement with the town parking site which is located approx 400 meters from the hotel.
Although the rooms are small but the place is amazing. It is very clean and new/renewed. The staff are very nice and smiley. If I ever come back to that area (and I will) I will choose the same hotel.
The food is terrible, no parking and you can see that the hotel is in a pretty "bad shape".
location was excellent the glasses in the bathroom were filthy & the towels were small, torn, thin & stiff. There was no black tea available at breakfast. Parking was available free at a location 500m away, otherwise nearby on parking meters, which had time restrictions. The room in the annexe was nothing like those depicted on the website which I assume are in the main hotel
The view was fantastic No value for money
Breakfast was nice, room was clean No air condition, hot and very noisy all night - hotel placed next to main road
I liked the location and the buffet breakfast was fantastic! The hotel room was dirty when we arrived (left over soap and trash still in the room). They have a serious bug issue and the rooms were not as secure as I would have expected for a hotel.
Family run hotel with friendly helpful staff None
The village is a nice place, away from the big tourism. The hotel is quiet small and has a touch of familiy tradition. The breakfast consists next to the normal food of a lot of self-maded cakes, cookies... It was too loud. There is a bar, just right next to the hotel and the main street is just in passing in front of the hotel.
Hotel staff were excellent and very helpful in organising airport transfer to and from the hotel. Hotel in an excellent location in front of a pretty harbour with restaurants, so we didn't have far to walk for lunch/dinner. There is a samll convenience store a few yards from the hotel which was very handy. The 'family' room was basically a double room with an extra single bed, so we were very cramped for space (2 adults, 3 children ages 7,5 & 16 months). We expected a bigger room for the price paid. There was no space to store the pushchair in the room. Luckily we had family staying in the same hotel so the pushchair was stored in their room overnight. The hotel is on a busy main road, so you get alot of traffic noise in the morning. Would not recommend the location if you have very small children as there is nothing for them to do. Would recommend hiring a car as taxis are very expensive and the local bus service is only regular in the mornings.
the location Very small and hot rooms
The location of the hotel and the helpful staff.
Location by Lake Garda..............plus balcony It was somewhat unfortunate that a request had to be made forthe Sir Conditioning to be switched on at reception. This was not made clear on arrival and first night was uncomfortable
Good location, gastronomy , pool. Friendly staff. Ok ok ok.
The view was wonderful. The staff did not seem very friendly to us (Americans). Also it was hot during our stay and the staff only turned on the air conditioning for part of the day and would shut it off during the middle of the night.
Friendly staff, good atmosphere, clean, great location, a la carte dining excellent. Unfortunately the car park was not large enough but everybody was good natured about 'double parking'
The staff were extremely helpful & friendly. Food was good, and the hotel and pool area were very clean. The Hotel location on the edge of Lake Garda was perfect and the views from the balconies were stunnning.
Situated right next to Lake Garda Heating in room could not be controlled - cold. Unexciting breakfast. No bath.
Views from the room were lovely. Cleaning staff were exceptionally nice. Yes. The pool was freezing despite the 28c temperature outside. We could not use it. The main reason we picked this hotel was because it had a pool. This was a huge disappointment and I feel we paid for something we did not get. The breakfast could be more varied as it was the exact same every single morning of our 7 day stay. I emailed the hotel 1 week before our stay to change one of our rooms to a single instead of double room. I arrived at the hotel and was told we would have to pay full rate for a double despite the 1 weeks notice. This was 250euro extra than what we should have paid though we were already paying 70e for a cot. The cot should have been free.
It,s position, Fabulous. Wonderfull Staff, especially the Manager Bed could have been bigger. Being over 6ft , it was not comfortable., having a board at the end of the bed. Regards Peter Scott
It was only 5min drive from my friends hotel called Benecus. i spent most of my time there, it was far better and cheaper.
It is small hotel in which are not so many people. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Traveled way right next to the hotel but I expect it.
no aircondition!!!!! The bed was hard
the staff and the location the size of the room
The beach is great, staff is very kind.
Anna Alba and her Son, Pietro were most welcoming as was the young lady on reception who gave us the choice of four rooms in the 'superior' category. The room we chose was spacious and had a balcony overlooking the lake. We loved the location - away from a noisy and busy main road but very close for visiting other resorts either by car or ferry. We thought the addition E12 for half board was very reasonable and the limited menu fresh and tasty. A good choice available for breakfast. The outside restaurant was always busy - a good sign that food is good, however, it did appear that a la cart diners were given a preferential service than that for the half board hotel guests! We felt the hotel was showing signs of becoming a bit run down. The garden with the hot tub was 'scrubby'. The dining room looked like a 1950's tea room, with our hostess bringing and serving food for the half board guests off a hospital style trolley! The entrance to the dining and breakfast rooms from reception was a jumble with a bar and machines and crockery/glasses for drinks. Some mornings the area around the fruit juice machine was scattered with dirty dishes from the night before! Although very clean our bathroom was very dated and needed refurbishment.
The hotel is on the edge of Lake Garda giving fantastic views for the rooms on the Lake side. The dining room has panoramic windows giving the same views with the lake only a few meters away! Breathtaking! The hotel staff are very helpful, efficient & polite & as this is a family run hotel there is a lot of pride in the service. Food in the restaurant is excellent & we found it to be the busiest on evenings in Brenzone, speaks for itself. The room cleaning was fine but things like soap, shampoo & plastic drinking glasses were not replaced on a daily basis!
excellent staff! the family was very nice and friendly. the view from the hotel was beautiful. extremely small bathrooms and no hot water in the shower.
Very nice location, in a quiet small village. Quite good breakfast, and a very nice restaurant with beatiful views and good food. Very, very basic rooms, specially the bathroom. There was no bath or shower, just a curtain over a wastepipe on the floor.
Views of the lake were fantastic. The hotel's restaurant offered great local dishes and the staff were friendly and helpful. No air conditioning or fans so rooms were very hot and sleeping was uncomfortably hot!
Hotel fine nice area Booking in chaotic
Hotel Brenzone had all the amenities we needed and is positioned in a quiet spot. Room with balcony is a must for the lake view. Very good breakfasts and evening meal, service friendly and helpful. There was little variety for vegetarians so we prefered to eat elsewhere. Good ferry service but not so frequent from here. Friendly receptionist and waitress. The hotel owner seemed aloof and the local shop owned by the family was run by a disagreeable woman who was offhand and unhelpful towards us as English people. The bus service is a dead loss. The transfer company used by the hotel was satisfactory, it was on time and dropped us off at the hotel but on return we had to ask our nice waitress to push our cases up a steep hill to the minibus stop.
Check in chaotic, 45 minutes plus
quiet, on lake, excellent breakfast our room was very small,
The location and the surrounding views The management refused to give me 30% discount on the stay of my two children although it was advertised on their web site.
We went to Formula 1 for 4 days and ate at the Hotel in the Pizzeria We did not like the parking.....had to fight for parking every night. Also the hotel staff seemed hostile and unhelpful...only spoke italian and german.....we thought at least they would speak english! Appartment was lovely, but we had 2 single beds instead of 1 queen/king bed....also our pull out bed in the living room was welded together so we could only sit on it and not pull it out as a bed, as its purpose should be.
We had an apartment which was spacious and had the most beautiful view you could imagine. Thoroughly recommend this place, particularly in terms of value for money. The drive up the mountain is a bit scary (very sheer drops from the road!), but it's definitely worth it. Would warn people that the apartments really don't have anything like toilet paper/cooking goods/towels/bed linen (except pots/pans/utensils), so do take your own or be prepared to rent/buy. The towel and linen package is eur15 per person for the stay. We did also get a few ants in the apartment, so definitely don't leave any food out, but on the whole, we were delighted with our choice. If you wish to check out before 8am, remember to do it the night before - it's not made clear in the documentation - rather just saying 'if you wish to check out at night...'. When we arrived at 7am (not really night if you ask me), there was no one on reception who was authorised to help. Fortunately the night supervisor made a special exception for us, but it's worth knowing that 'night' means before 8am if you want to save yourself a bit of stress!
The view from this hotel is beautifull. But all around Lago di Garda have almost the same view. Quite old furniture and hotel. Personel does not speak english very well, gets easily irritated when trying to communicate in english. Fluent in german though as it seemed.
it was a great value for money. close to the lake and confortable. nice view
Very kind family, very helpfull. Good price, direct at the lake, we liked it. Only thing is there is no airconditioning, and lucky for us 35 degrees outside.
I liked all things at hotel. No
Great location with good off-road parking and lake views. Friendly and attentive staff who were very helpful. Peaceful and easy-going atmosphere.
Close to lake, magnificient view
good access parking tidy and presentable nice breakfast friendly
Nice staff, great location, good service The staff doesn't speak english
Breakfast was great, the staff was friendly, rooms have the lake view - nice! /
Great staff and great quality for reasonable amount of money. We had a nice room with balcony and amazing view to the mountains and Garda lake, breakfests were tasty (especially i liked the fact that they served fresh fruits), room & tiny bathroom were very clean, towels changed every day (although bathroom iwas tiny we got used to it & had no problems with taking shower etc.)
The staff was very friendly and helpfull. It is a very familiar hotel. :)
fine friendly and hospitality! very kind.
Nothing! I LIKed nothing. This is just terrible. It is just terrible. They disappointed us soo much, as never before anyone did. They cheated us, I would suggest noone to go there!
Excellent balcony with great view! Free parking. Small bathroom. Bed not so comfortable. Check in/out times a little tight.
staff, location, price
Very well located overlooking Lake Garda with excellent view from room balcony.
The couple running it were helpful although with restricted English. The place was clean but basic (in line with the star ratings) but the breakfast was generous and well above average. Having in-house parking was also an advantage. No
The location was wonderful - we had a great view of Lake Garda from our balcony. The room was very clean and the double bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The smaller bed in our triple room was quite small and not as comfortable as the double. The shower curtain could be better, since water came out all over the bathroom.
Very helpful staff.Very Clean.Nice Area. Will go back there again.
Very friendly. great hotel.
The hospitality of owners and his family was excellent and the lake view from our room was absolutely amazing. A little bit noisy place (by night - cars, bikes, barking dog)
peacefull relaxing freindly atmosphere very enjoyable
Shower cubicle door runners worn out allowing doors to come off their tracks. Bathroom not cleaned very well and not re-stocked with soap etc.
Very friendly and helpful reception staff - excellent. Breakfast staff a little surly except for one very friendly young water.
It is run by an Italian family who were so pleasant and very helpful with everything which made the stay so much more enjoyable.
Loved being directly on the lake. No road to cross and free use of kayaks. Waterfront restaurant served a great buffet breakfast and offered a very casual, relaxed atmosphere. Lounges on the lawn were comfortable and plentiful. As well, the grounds were kept spotless. It was well worth the upgrade to a superior room as we had a great view of the lake and mountains and our room was very spacious for an European hotel. Updated bathroom a real pleasure. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it to friends. Can't understand why it is only 3 stars?? The A/C in our room never really cooled the room - thermostat constantly read 25- 26C - glad we had the lake. It would be great to have the outdoor patio open for dinner - it was too nice to be inside in the evenings even at the beautiful restaurant on the top floor
Great location, perfect garden and excellent service. There is no outer pool.
An excellent hotel with fantastic unspoilt views. The fact that this hotel sits right on the lakes edge is a real bonus. Extremely good value for money with friendly and helpful staff, ample parking and a quiet location yet within reach of many local adequate restaurants. We found it worth making the extra effort to travel to Malcesine in the evenings which required a car as Bus service is limited and taxis are expensive (30 Euro round trip) We would have no hesitation in returning to Hotel du Lac A small fridge in the room would have been useful to chill water and possibly a local beer or two as the local bars appeared to favour German Brands. Excellent selection of local wines though!
There was a very relaxed atmosphere and the service was friendly. The hotel was directly on the lakeside, which was excellent.
Very friendly staff. Great hotel, we wish we had stayed longer. We will return.
Excellent reception staff, beautiful place, food good.
This is a very well-run family hotel with outstanding customer service. We have stayed there twice over a time span of 7 years and enjoyed it both times. It is not a luxury hotel by any means but a very clean and friendly accomodation with good food and proximity to Malcesine. n/a
Very close to the shore of Lake Garda in quiet surrounding - not in one of the tourist places. Great appartment facing the lake. Nothing to complain about.
closeness to other more exciting places on Lake Gaurda. good location for travelling around the lake generally. View out our window over the lake was good. great to have the balcony to sit out on. swimming pool involved many steps. the web site pictures looked as though the hotel was right on the beach, but there was a road between the hotel and the beach, which made me consider the web photo deceptive. the road noise was fairly high during the night, which interfered with my sleep as it meant we had to keep the shutter down .
Very good location, especially the balcony directly onto the Garda Lake is great. There is no "visual separation" of the balconies, so you're literally sitting next to your room-neighbour...
Hotel was nicely situated on the shore of Lago di Garda. Unfortunatley the hotel is not on the lake side of the main road, i.e you have to cross the road to get to the lake. Nice pool area. If you are travelling with small children you might find all the stairs a bit irritating.
Landscape is quite lovely. There's not swimming pool for children. Balconies aren't seperated completely.
all these stairs are so inconvenient and all the rooms with lake view are noisy because of the road.
Hotel staff, Manuel, was helpful with suggestions for dinner. Lake front view from our balcony was incredible. Breakfast was good. Our neigbhors woke up on Sat. morning before 7 a.m. and turned their TV up extremely loud. That was a nuisance and I could hear them talking so the walls were thin.
The apartment was very quite, overlooked the lake and was very comfortable. The apartment I stayed was up a steep hill, very steep. I drove a motorcycle but had to leave it parked at the bottom, as it was too dangerous to drive up. Some people left cars parked at the bottom also. There were other apartments further up the hill but it is far too dangerous to drive as only one car can fit at a time and the hill is way too steep.
hiotel is 10km north/south of nearest towns - no restaurant after 7.30pm poor location in terms of facilities - no air conditioning in apartments - no maid service for 4 days not acceptable
the room was o.k., although there was no chair and no soap. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent and the surroundings as well as the situation of the hotel was very picturesque (just by the see). The people at the reception were very friendly. The young girl that served at the table was distracted.
Everything, Fantastic time at Club da Baia Hospitality and staff were outstanding and very professional The food was supurb and well presented and priced We have stayed in many hotels, and Club da Baia was the best vacation ever We highly recommended it to all our friends and colleges. We would like to thank Mathis, Family and ALL staff for a very relaxing welcoming and comfottable stay And will see you very soon again.
The room was lower quality than suggested by website ("top room"), it was not fully cleaned. Breakfast was not available before 9.00am, even if we specifically asked for it for 8.30. Unfriendly staff.
1. The staff are fantastic! They were very welcoming, friendly and happy and a pleasure to speak to. 2. Perfectly located by the sea, for cycling, using the lake, doing as little as possible and touring but far from hustle and bustle. 3. In the evening, the hotel felt very special with a tinge of cosmopolitan living with excellent alfresco food and music. 4. I hope that I will visit again.
A small, modern but very cozy hotel just by the harbor. Very friendly atmosphere and a fantastic view from my room. Excellent value for money. There was no TV and elevator. Getting warm water in the shower took forever.
The buffet breakfast was wide scale and delicious. There isn't windsurf store rack.
nice view, nice price, nice service. it was behind expectations.
good acces to lago and to other points of interest in the region deficienci of warm water late evening
The staff were lovely, the swimming pool was usually empty and always clean, we could come in late no problem
Rooms were clean and Staff were generally quite friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool overlooking lake and terrace view of lake was spectacular No regular boat service nearby a bus or car journey was required to get to a more central location
