Pros: Loved the location and the view from the room. It was right on the beach and we could look out and see the ocean. Also it was conveniently located and easy to find. I thought the price was a really good deal when I booked it.
Cons: The hotel was recently renovated and I like where they are going with it but I think it could still use some improvements. There is no AC, instead there are windows at the back of the room and one in the bathroom, so the rooms get pretty stuffy even with all the windows open. The bathroom was more than a little underwhelming and could maybe use some upgrades to the shower/tub area. Checking in was super easy and checking out should have been easy but there is no slot/box to drop off the room keys if you try to check out after hours. At least put in drop box or something. Also, FYI the walls are very thin. We could not sleep due to the neighbor's tv and other activities.
Excellent9.1
Pros: Staff was courteous and quick. Simple and clean, recently updated floors were a nice surprise. Great access to Big Sur and Hearst Castle area. Slept here only, did not have the breakfast, nor did I use the TV.
Cons: Would stay here again but would try to avoid 1st floor, as the guests above us ran back and forth like they were having a relay race at dawn -- not the hotel's fault however.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Location, clean
Cons: Noisy
Good7.1
Pros: Location and price
Cons: Breakfast was not great; need protein like eggs please. Also, better coffee would be good.
Excellent9.1
Pros: I always try to stay here when I visit the area. This was my 4th stay. The rooms have been attractively redecorated with white comforters and sashes on the beds and plenty of pillows. The beds are extremely comfortable, certainly as good as many high-priced hotels. Although the hotel is a short walk from the water, many rooms have views of the ocean, and if you open windows, you can hear the waves. Each room has a microwave and larger mini-fridge (about 3" high--not the tiny, square ones). There was a hair dryer in the bathroom.
Cons: The bathrooms are more typical of an older motel. Though I haven't noticed this in the past, this visit my bathroom was less-than-immaculate, with a couple hairs on the tile floor. Also the screen in the tiny bathroom window was very dusty and had obviously not been cleaned for a long time. These things were not a big deal to me, but if you're someone who would be disturbed by this, you may prefer a more pricey place. Also, though the website still lists it, they are no longer serving breakfast. I don't know if this is a permanent decision or a seasonal change for the rest of the winter months.
Located in the heart of Cambria, this motel is 0.4 mi (0.6 km) from Cambria’s Historical Museum and 2.2 mi (3.6 km) from Moonstone Beach Park. Fiscalini Ranch Preserve and Cambria Center for the Arts are also within 1 mile (2 km).

Pros: Staff were friendly and cooperative; room was clean and basic in furnishings; location was excellent, close to restaurants on the edge of town.
Cons: No hair dryer in room (furnished on request from office); no coffee or breakfast included; not staffed at night; no ice scoop (service by hand?); not enough shampoo in room for two guests; not a good value for the price.

Pros: Competitive price and great location. Restaurants nearby.
Cons: A little dated and very little hot water in bathroom sink.
Excellent8.2
Pros: The location was great, it was really peaceful and nice to be able to walk to the beach from our hotel. Staff was friendly && the liquor store nearby was convieniet. Overall price was great, would stay again
Cons: The Wi-fi was inconsistent, wouldn't stay connected to our phones for long, in and out service that kept turning off. There wasn't really that many kid friendly tv shows by the end of the night and midday.
Excellent8.5
Pros: We went with another couple. King room with balcony. Awesome stay. Clean, quiet, beach right across hwy...easy access. Would recommend and definately stay again.
Excellent9.6
Pros: Hands down, the best value in the area by far. Makes sense why they have so many positve reviews, great stay all around. Location is great. Restaurant/bar on site. Rooms very clean. Can't be beat at that price.
Cons: As many have said before, the only thing that would really help would be AC units in the room. It was 80 when we were there, and the rooms felt stuffy in the afternoon even with windows open.

Pros: Clean, cheap, added bonus of fridge and microwave! Stupid close to Hearst Castle
Cons: Internet kinda fritzy, even after calling the tech people.
Excellent8.0
Pros: The room was updated. The bed was comfortable. The staff was pleasant. Excellent value.
Cons: The bathroom was clean, but the shower had mold on the door.
Excellent8.5
Pros: Staff were friendly, location was great, across the road from the beach, fridge and coffee maker in the room, comfortable and clean bed.
Cons: The curtains were hard to keep closed completely, the Direct TV had no paper guide and was hard to browse through, the hot tub spa was over chlorinated and not very hot.
Okay5.6
Pros: Walking distance to the beach (but then again all the hotels there are about the same distance away). It was cheap... The bed was comfortable. The guy in the lobby that works late was nice.
Cons: The walls are paper thin, you can clearly hear your adjacent neighbors conversation/snoring. The height of the shower head is the same as my chin and I'm only 5'10". There was a used shampoo bottle, that I'm guessing was used by the previous guest, in our shower. We stayed on the first floor and we could hear every step from the guest in the rooms directly above us. We can also hear, very loudly, people walking upstairs on the balcony walkway. My 120 pound girlfriend sat on the plastic toilet seat and it either became loose or broke somehow. Not sure if it was previously already broken or was just not put in correctly. Furniture is probably older than me.
Excellent8.0
Pros: -Location was perfect -Room was clean and comfortable -It was nice to have some outdoor space
Cons: -Pool area could use some upgrades
Excellent10.0
Pros: After staying in somewhere really basic for the past 3 nights in San Francisco, this was a welcome change. I thought the place was excellent. I only stayed for one night though, so I didn't get chance to use all the facilities. At this price though, you really can't go wrong here.
Good6.8
Pros: Cheap, fridge and microwave.
Cons: Slow wifi, no AC, crappy soap.
Good6.8
Pros: it was a good location and cheap. bathrooms were not that clean, toilet was weird, coffeemaker was broken.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: The beds, towels, and blanks dirty.
Poor1.9
When you pay almost $200 for a Motel 6 you’d hope it’s justified. I entered my room to find dirty towels lying on the floor of a room with the beds made, nice! Half the lights weren’t working and the ultra efficient bulbs that did work were the efficiency 20 watt yellow hue junk. Dogs barking throughout the night made for a lot of waking moments to reflect on how terrible this property is. I know Motel 6 is a franchise but corporate needs to have some level of quality
Excellent10.0

Pros: Location is right off the PCH. Staff is friendly.
Cons: Property was not clean. Property is too old and badly needs renovation. Bed covering skirts were dirty.
