Pros: Everything! The staff was superb and the rooms were perfect. I would absolutely go back and I recommend this to everyone and anyone. This was, hands down, one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. I was there on my birthday and the staff took note of it and left me a cake and a card. I've never been treated so well at a hotel. 5 stars all the way!

Pros: Staff location room
Cons: Staff, location, room
Excellent10.0
Pros: Our room was beautiful with great views of Ocean and rolling foothills. Within walking distance of restaurants, bars and beach boardwalks. Less than a mile from downtown Cambria. Very friendly and helpful staff. Prompt and thorough.
Cons: There was no air conditioning unit. We were reliant on opening windows and a singular fan in the room.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Clean place nice decor friendly staff GREAT location!
Cons: My room did not have a view :-/
Good6.5
Cons: There was hair on the shower walls and floor. There is no air conditioning and the room was very warm. Our room's window faced north so it didn't get much of a breeze.

Pros: It was steps from the beach.
Cons: For the price, we were underwhelmed. The shower had bad water pressure, the included breakfast came to us still frozen, the room had a buzzing sound, and we expected more for the price of the room.
Excellent10.0
Pros: The street is full of small hotels. Close to the moonstone beach. Breakfast is included and will be delivered to your room. Ocean view room is a must try. room is clean. Free wifi. nice staff.

Pros: I liked the location of the inn. Though I would have liked to be closer to the beach, it was surrounded by cute cafes and shops.
Cons: I did not like the fact that they asked for credit card information online and charged us at the hotel still with a one hundred dollar deposit on top of it all.
Excellent9.7
Pros: The Motel is a little older (which means the rooms are larger than newer rooms) and very nicely remodeled. I see from reading previous suggestions they take them to heart, as our room was very comfortable and clean. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. The Pastries on the weekend are incredible. Shops and restaurants are literally a 5 minute walk from the Motel.
Cons: Coffee was OK, but didn't match the Pastries at all. A small refrigerator would have been nice. Especially, for longer stays.
Excellent10.0
Cute recently renovated motel located near downtown
Good6.2
Pros: The room itself was clean and comfortable. The balcony was a nice feature and there was room to sit and relax before turning in for the evening.
Cons: The sinks didn't drain and there was a big wad of hair in the shower drain. We were happy we only stayed here one night because we didn't want to shower here and we didn't.
Mediocre2.8
Pros: Nothing.... will never consider staying here again. We reaerved a room with 2 queen size beds and a balcony and they gave us a room with 1 pull out bed. The sofa bed was so uncomfortable that even my 4yr old was complaining about his back hurting. I would like for the owner and or manager to try and slee on the sofa bed and beds....

Pros: Of course hearst castle was great! Cambria was also great.
Cons: What my wife and i, also my friends did not like were the beds They were to hard, not comfortable, everything else was fine.
Excellent10.0
Pros: The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Just a short walk to shopping and restaurants. We had a lovely stay!
Okay5.1
Pros: Staff were friendly on the phone. Good place to stop for our drive from Solvang to Monterey.
Cons: Heater doesn't work. Very noisy - I can hear other rooms showering and walking. The room and bathroom were not as clean as I hoped. Upgrading to a balcony room was quite useless - no view, and it seems that the room is exactly same as the standard one, with primary difference being that the room was upstairs. Realistically, this room is worth less than $80, the cost reflects the location and perhaps the scarcity of nicer places to stay.
Mediocre3.0
Pros: The only thingh I liked is the town is located in.
Cons: Place is dated, the water in the shower comes out really hot while you shower then all of a sudden the water comes out freezing cold, every time some one in the next room uses the water or flushes the toilet while you shower this happens..

Pros: the location was very good, parking was easy, and we were given the room we requested. I did not get to see/use the pool as I arrived too late and left early. But it was nice that there was a pool.
Cons: The room was not as comfortable as I would have hoped at that price. Beds were fairly hard, bedding was cheap feeling. The room was extremely hot, but there was no air conditioning. We opened the windows, but there were no screens, so we had to risk bugs. The walls were very thin and we could hear our neighbors. The continental breakfast was available in the front office, to be eaten in your room. However even though you had to "take out" your meal, there were no lids for coffee cups... Overall I did not think it was much of a value.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Comfortable, friendly service, right by the beach so super convenient. Gorgeous view of the water and even saw whiles. Nice pool.
Excellent9.7
Pros: Clean, very nice staff, yummy breakfast, perfect location across from the beach.
Cons: The fireplace made a loud clicking noise every time it came on during the night. It is the heater for the room so if you want it warm, you have to keep it on. It woke me every time, sadly because I'm a light sleeper.
Good7.4
Pros: Close proximity to the ocean
Cons: Room need upgrade
Excellent8.0
Pros: The fireplace and location were amazing. pet friendly (with fee of 25 is reasonable) is also amazing!!
Cons: breakfast could be improved. didn't love the food, and the fruit cup I received seemed like it may have been bad!

Good7.1
Pros: Proximity to ocean, view, hotel jacuzzi outdoors, comfortable bed.
Cons: Functionality of room not good, coffee pot, shower.
Pros: Perfect half way point between San Fransisco and LA along the PCH. I'd stay here again, beautiful view of the rocky coast and there are harbor seals that rest on the shore right in front of the hotel. About 15 minutes north their is also a viewing area for elephant seals. The room was spacious, and the bed was super comfy. There is a breakfast but we chose to go across the highway (2 minute drive) to the cute little town to have dinner and breakfast.
Cons: The shower was a tad small and the hot tub was not very hot but those were minor negatives in overall stay.
Okay4.8
Pros: Not worth the price asked for the room. You made it look so plush in your computer website, I've traveled a lot in my lifetime and the place was a cheap place trying hard to look good but doesn't quite cut it!! The price per night should have been about $125-135 and not in the $200 range. I have stayed some years back in the cottages next door and they were decorated with opulence reflecting the price you pay.
Excellent9.7
Pros: It's real close to the beach and boardwalk, (right across the street!), and a short drive to downtown and some great places to eat and drink.
Excellent8.8
Pros: Excellent mattress & pillows. Nice decor. Windows on both side let lovely breeze through the room. Good coffee and arm oatmeal for breakfast. Nice outdoor seating & picnic tables with grills. Can't beat the convenience of the board walk entry directly across the street. Well landscaped with nice variety of flowers.
Cons: Noisy upstairs neighbors and no AC or fan to drown out noises or the barking dog that seemed to be alone at midnight. Breakfast could be improved with fresh fruit and warm eggs or waffle.
Situated near the beach, this hotel is 0.2 mi (0.3 km) from Cambria’s Historical Museum and 1.7 mi (2.7 km) from Moonstone Beach Park. Cambria Center for the Arts and Fiscalini Ranch Preserve are also within 15 minutes.

The location is lovely and the building is very charming. It is near a busy road and our room is near that corner of the place so it was very noisy. One of the beds were dirty in between the covers. The heater isn’t working and the sheets were paper thin. Not what’s expected after paying over $240 for 1 night. I’m not sure if all the hotels/inns in cambria charge this high as a norm but totally surprised me.
Excellent8.2
Pros: Yes, you can spend more in Cambria for lodging, but for the price we received a clean room in the center of town. Yes, lacking in "amenities", but great value for the price. Would stay here again.
