We expected a 5 Star hotel from the info on their website, but the hotel is definitely not. Our room was disappointing, especially after what we had seen on the internet, and not one we wished to spend much time in. An example, the TV set did not work, was eventually replaced but the reception was still terrible, unwatchable. The comfort around the pool was definitely sub-standard, e.g. no cushions for the deck chairs. As said above, the staff were friendly and as helpful as they could be but so inexperienced. The Walden Suites should be classified as a "guest house" with limited facilities and not as a Star rated hotel, too many things are missing. Our second week we spent at the Vineyard Hotel, a genuine 5 star hotel with every comfort, it was like chalk and cheese.

Staff was friendly and nice.
Location was ok, you need a car to go anywhere. Internet was poor and cable was almost non existent. Breakfast is unsatisfying. At check out we were told we were undercharged and we needed to pay an additional 3000R for our 5 month old son who does not eat solids or use any amenities......we were headed for our flight and did not know what to say so we pay the additional fee. We were there for 5 nights with our son and they chose to spring this upon us at check out. Very unprofessional.

Beautiful property in a sought after location. Little bit of a walk up the hill which is not a bad thing as contributes to the views. Property to the front obscures the view from the ground floor however the upper rooms have spectacular views. Lovely room/suite and very spacious with large living room.
