Cons: The restaurant could have more vegetarian options. I missed more space in the kitchen, the shelves and fridge were too busy.

Pros: When I arrived I was received by a Brazilian named Jessica, I alread felt in home. Jessica is a lovely person, very polite, kind and agile, she is perfect !!! The other staff were also very cordial, polites, kind and always with a smile on their faces, very nice people!!! I loved this hostel and back to Cape Town, I will definitely stay there as it is near the Waterfront, Stadium, right in the center!!! I LOVED THE "ATLANTIC POINT BACKPACKERS!!!" I also liked the cleanliness, the atmosphere is super nice, organized and safe!!! It was everything perfect!! Even to study English is good, because in the kitchen or anywhere in the hostel there are people from various parts of the world !!! I didn't go to study, but I practiced my English a lot!!!

Pros: Good location, Hostel is away from main road (though just 1 minute to bus stop), so the city noise is not a problem. Tasty breakfest (granola, joghurt, milk, egg, jam, cofee) but every day the same. It's mean after two days it's better to eat somwhere else.
Cons: Crazy room door lock (see photo). You need to push 6 number and letter sturdy buttons each time you want to enter the room. At evening, if you don't have bunk bed then have room in basement with access from outside, a torch is essential. Basement rooms have second door to corridor with bathroom at the end. This doors are lockable from inside. Don't forget to inform your roommates in the morning that you are going to toilet and will be back soon. You can get stick in there for hours. Take a phone at least to ask reception for help. Poor WiFi coverage in the basement.

Cons: The room was generally very nice and spacious, only small downside was our room had only 4 towel bars and 4 outlets but 5 beds. It would benefit a lot even from a few hooks being screwed into the wall for other towels or to hang things (two of us had been at weddings and had nowhere to hang our suit bags even though there was plenty of space to add hooks or a small wardrobe

It was my first experience of staying at a hostel in South Africa, and will definitely recommend your facility to the younger generations.
Cons: I know that I signed the towel agreement, but I didn't like how the matter was dealt with. We, my German friends included, had never come across a situation like this. We received the towels rolled up, but when we checked out, the towels were inspected in front of everybody present at reception. It was very embarrassing due to the fact that we were accused of damaging the towel. Nobody could convince us that we truly damaged the towel. The receptionist claimed that she gave us clean towels, but we were not given a chance to inspect your towels. It was her word against ours. Even our pillow cases arrived very late, but we understood and did not blame you for that. I would suggest that you change your towel policy, or give your clients the opportunity to inspect the towels before receiving it, or ask people to bring their own towels.

They were also helpful in arranging excursions and the staff at the front desk (other travelers) were very helpful and friendly. Cons: The facility had some issues with loadshedding, which worked out after a few days. The room was supposed to have WiFi but it only worked if you stood right next to the door. There were a few frustrating things like they only will exchange your money if you have notes of $50 or higher but the ATM wasn't working and there was no power, so that left us in a bind. One of the owners was super friendly and the other spoke pretty rudely to employees on multiple occassions, which went against the espoused vibe of the place.

Pros: Kelly and the gang are lots of fun and very accommodating/helpful. I thought of all the hostels I’ve tried in Cape Town (which is now 6) the rooms/beds were the most comfortable and had the right amenities like personal lights, outlets, multiply pillows, extra blanket and plenty of space for your stuff. It also had my favorite outdoor lounge area of all the hostels. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Cons: The down side was that the bar in the awesome lounge/pool area was more expensive than the other hostels. Beers are 30 Rand and no happy hour compared to R20 and R25 and even cheaper at happy hours at the others. They also seem to be more strict than the other hostels about drinking your own alcohol while there.

Pros: The lodge is situated in a beautiful building, it is very clean and at a good location close to the lower cable car. The breakfast buffet is great.
Cons: The double rooms are located around the pool area. Of course it cannot be completely quiet there at night, but the first night was extremely noisy and I only slept for a couple of hours. The music from the bar at the first floor was very loud and lasted till 00:30. There were people in the communal kitchen talking loudly, people smoking near our room... second night was better, but still noisy, even with earplugs.

Pros: Once in Cape Town is a lively hostel. Since it has 2 bars inside, it is perfect if you do not want to venture out at least in some nights. The rooms were small but each bunk bed had a locker and a nightstand you could also lock and a plug.

Pros: Once in Cape Town is a lively hostel. Since it has 2 bars inside, it is perfect if you do not want to venture out at least in some nights. The rooms were small but each bunk bed had a locker and a nightstand you could also lock and a plug.
Cons: Breakfast was a letdown, the food was quite scarce. It was very loud in the rooms until the bars closed down. One of the rooms we stayed in had the windows overlooking the bar, which was uncomfortable to change clothes and shower, even though there was a sticker on the windows to make them less transparent.

Pros: Great location, facilities were in line with what we paid for, and the cafe/bar downstairs was a cool scene.
Cons: Our ceiling fan broke on the last evening of our stay on a very hot night. There was no one who could fix it and no freestanding fans or anything available so it made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. The staff tried to be helpful about it so I don’t fault them for that, but I would suggest having a backup option available for incidents such as these.

Pros: The atmosphere is great, and the people and staff were awesome. The building had a lot of green and plants which made it super livable and nice to be at. It's also nice to have kitchen and a balcony :). Finally it's a party place but it gets quieter at midnight which is perfect.

Pros: Great location, friendly staff, lovely courtyard with a lot of young people you can chat with and share your travel experience. The hostel organized a braai (barbecue) the day we arrived. I don't know how often do they do that but it was great. We came on Friday so maybe there's barbecue every week but I'm not sure. We brought meat and veggies and they cooked it for us and then we were dining out looking at the fire and talking. One of my best nights in South Africa!

Pros: I should have done this review a long time ago! I’ve been staying at LongStreet Backpackers for many times on my stays in CapeTown, and it is such an awesome place to stay! You easily make friends with other people staying there, and they are from every part of the world. The dorms are comfortable and beds are nice, showers are nice , room facilities are just great. The staff at the hostel are always friendly and welcoming, and you can sit at the bar chatting with them. They really want you to have a great stay! The bar is nice, the two balconies are nice to sit in the morning having breakfast or dinner in the evening. The hostel is perfectly located in Longstreet, which means everywhere you go things are so close. And if you have problems of any kind, the staff will gladly help you out. Everything about this hostel is awesome. If you don’t go here, you certainly miss out something big. I can recommend this place 10 out of 10 stars. Perfect! Thanks to everyone at LongStreet Backpackers!

Cons: The room was messy, there was stuff all over the place (probably from other people). This it was hard to find a place to put my backpack. The location can be a bit dodgy if you're alone at night

Cons: Too many people and pretty load music in a courtyard in the evenings - don't even try to get some sleep before midnight if your window overlooks the courtyard. The room was quite dark and because of its shape didn't look spacious even though it wasn't small. No bath products in a bathroom except toilet paper. Bathtub gets clogged occasionally.

Cons: They had footage of a thief jumping over the wall opening the door walking upstairs stealing sneakers.The manager curtly is a liar he said they will reimburse us for the sneakers we received only $9 for a $250 sneaker.
