Misleading, not well kept vehicle.
Pros: What did I like...my car got 30+ miles to the gallon.
Cons: Misleading advertising for available vehicles, Cars that aren't even made anymore. Ended up in a much smaller car than I though with dirty seats and no cruise control. Won't use again. Other companies like Enterprise actually end up being cheaper because they will not charge you a full 2nd day just additional ours.

Pros: Front desk agent very friendly and as helpful as possible.
Cons: I rented something that appeared to be a small SUV, but the "or similar" turned out to be a Nissan Versa. Seemingly a bit different. I paid for one thing and got something completely different, without compensation. I'm done with Dollar.

Pros: The customer service was totally unsatisfactory and the car was in less than acceptable condition. Upon returning the car I attempted to pay in cash and was told it was not a payment option, I was never informed before hand that credit card was the only method of payment. I strongly doubt I will be doing business with your company in the future.

Poorly maintained car broke down at airport exit
Cons: The car Dollar rented us in the mountains was a disaster. This wasn't a decently designed and constructed compact like a fiesta, but tin can feeling mitsubishi complete with tiny wheels and all dented up. It felt unsafe from the moment we got in it, and stalled and then wouldn't restart as we drove away from the airport, leaving us stuck on the side of the road. The Dollar rental agent wasn't even apologetic. This car should never have been rented out in the colorado mountains in the first place and clearly wasn't inspected (dents) or checked to make sure it was operating properly. I wouldn't rent here again.

Pros: Car was as expected - 4x4, modern, and clean.
Cons: Charged nearly double quoted price. Mileage limitations per day. Insane charge for refilling with gas (which luckily we avoided). Feels like one of those brands where you get a cheap quoted price then they find a way to charge you more with fees and CRAZY expensive insurance, leaving you with a bad taste in your mouth.

Pros: The vehicle was clean and dependable.
Cons: I was not told about being charged for additional mileage.
Pros: Outstanding mileage and solid car = Corrolla
Cons: Bad lead in outside seal - I got a 20% refund....should have been more I think = trunk and passenger side totally drenched during storm.

Long wait and dirty car
Pros: Took forever to get the car in Grand Junction. Then the car had to be cleaned so add 15 more minutes while they were waiting on other people.

Cons: I reserved Enterprise rental via Kayak just to be called by Enterprise 2 hours later telling me that they didn't have the vehicle Kayak said they did. I was unable to go on my trip, because Kayak's "inventory" was not up to date.

Cons: I was unpleasantly surprised that I was not tole when I chose to prepay the gasoline that I would not be reimbursed for what I did not use. As it turned out, I only used 1/4 of a tank of gas. I could really have used that extra $40 for my trip.

Bang for the buck
Pros: Because the type of vehicle I had reserved was not ready, they gave me something bigger at the same price...and that price was actually lower than what was shown when the reservation was made. Hard to quarrel with that!

Pros: It was a great deal for a 1 week mid size SUV rental.
Cons: It was not indicated on my reservation that there would be a one way $100 charge - which was a surprise to me when I received my final receipt. Additionally, they failed to apply my 5% enterprise discount at checkout - which had been in my original reservation. Customer Service was completely confused and struggled to resolve this - it was frustrating.

Pros: Customer service great. Easy pick up and drop off.
Cons: Alamo didn't have the car I reserved online. So they made me pay to upgrade my car. I was not happy about that at all. It should have been free upgrade since it was Alamo's fault. I won't be using Alamo again

Pros: They had the vehicle type we were looking for and it and not too out of the price range I was looking for but hey, otherwise that vehicle probably would have been rented! Felt safe in the vehicle and could see my surroundings. Reliable and good gas mileage. Check in and check out went smoothly. Would rent from them again.

Booked my rental online...ONLY TO FIND OUT THE CAR
Pros: Nothing. I didn't get a vehicle.
Cons: The fact that my booking was confirmed, yet when I went to the counter, was informed that the website was making bookings for cars that didn't exist. They had absolutely zero available vehicles, yet I was "confirmed" by Alamo/Kayak. Would have wound up stranded in Grand Junction, had it not been for another gentleman who actually did get a vehicle who gave me a ride back to Denver.

Cons: Why give a confirmation/reservation number and when I get there I'm told there are no cars available... as if that wasn't bad enough, there were over 2 full rows of rental cars parked right out front... thought I was in the twilight zone. Will never use Alamo again.

flopping mirror-dirty interior
Cons: the passenger mirror stayed flopping in-safety hazard. I didn't know it was a problem until I got onto the interstate and in flopped close. travel was very hazardous without use of that mirror.... check these before driving off-especially in bad weather when you need all the help you can get.

Cons: When our flight for the day of our reservation was cancelled due to weather issues and rescheduled for the next day, I called Alamo to revise the reservation. Alamo was going to charge an additional $100 to change our reservation from a seven day to a six day, so I cancelled the reservation and reserved a car for the period we needed it with another agency. The Alamo agent informed me that there would be a $5.00 cancellation charge, which I approved, and that the remainder of the amount charged by Alamo would be refunded. The credit came through, but with a $25.00 cancellation fee. We are going to take up the issue with Alamo, and will not use them again.
Cons: Crack in vehicle's windshield, had to call in about it after leaving. They did not have it in a prior report.

Pros: The price thru Kayak was awesome! A better price than Avis could give me by far. The reservation online was easy.
Cons: The car didn't look like it had been cleaned when we got it. I also called the Avis location multiple times to make sure they had available car seats and was assured they had plenty- but didn't have a single one when I picked the car up. I had to wait for them to bring one from another location.

Pros: They were so patient and helpful with drop off and pick up. Pleasant and polite
Cons: The car smelled so badly of smoke. I aired it and it was smelled badly.
Pros: The gas mileage the most. It was a Smooth ride and it fit all of our stuff.
Cons: When we picked up the van we had to wait almost 30 minutes to get it. And I asked to see the guys I'd and he said we don't have any. I asked because he looked dirty and smelled like he hadn't showered in a week. His close were dirty too. When we dropped off the van the lady was rushed and just wanted to get us out of there.

Pros: The Kia car was excellent, with a first-class GPS system included, and the Budget attendant (when we found him!) friendly and helpful. The car was in good condition, and they have a good practice of putting a small sticker near existing damage to the car.
Cons: The address given on the communication from Kayak gave the wrong address: P-Schouwburgplein 2, which turns out is the address of the parking ramp where the car is to be dropped off, but not the office where you need to get the contract and key. It's not even an address visible in the area. And Budget didn't answer the phone number provided. It took some time with help from local businesses to find where the actual office was. Very stressful.
At the end, you just drop off the car in the parking ramp, no staff available. We are waiting to see the final communication and bill.

Pros: I liked the overall value and price
Cons: I didn't like that budget couldn't accommodate our full size car when it was having trouble. Instead of an up grade they wanted to down grade us to a compact car. Then customer service laughs at me. If u started with customer service it would be ten times better .
Cons: No car! I drove 3 hours to pick up a car I reserved with Kayak. I had never used Kayak to reserve and I certainly won't use it or recommend it ever again! When I arrived they said that even though I had a reservation that they were out of cars! No other companies had cars either and it left me totally stranded! How can u make a reservation without making sure the company actually had a car first? Extremely disappointed and very frustrated.

Cons: When I showed up to pick up my vehicle they had no cars left. I asked to upgrade when they did have more cars driven in from a nearby hertz. They said "those are for the people who reserved a larger car" and that I reserved a economy. I mentioned that they gave away my car so why can't they alow me to have somebody else's and if they would please tell me why they gave away my car. When I asked her to explain she simply said "no" honest to God she said no she won't explain. I recorded this conversation on my phone. Will be happy to send the video of this conversation. I was calm and did not yell. I just simply got "no" for an answer when I asked if she would explain. Was a arrogant horrific answer.

Pros: We had a stone kicked up from an 18 wheeler and was concerned about how to handle the issue with Hertz since were didn't take out the extra coverage. We called our insurance and had everything arranged but did have a deductible. When we pulled into Hertz, the al who managed our car in Phoenix gave us a flat rate which was less then our deductible and did it all in one transaction. I had envisioned having to hassle with a manager but it was painless and we paid the flat amount. Car was great and we couldn't have been happier!
Cons: Car wasn't ready she we arrived to Grand Junction, which wasn't a big deal but they did ask us if we would take a smaller car but it turned out the price was higher for the smaller car. We went to lunch and got the bigger car - a Nissan Rogue, which was very ice.
