I requested a specific car that you rent all the time, 1 week prior to my rental and was told that wasn't what I rented and what I needed was more money so I did that. I was then told the specific car I was requesting still could not be guaranteed. It is listed as a mid size suv, mazda cx50 or comparable. So I found something else with a different co. and saved $100! I will rent with them vs Budget anytime. Lady was rude on the phone. You lost my business and everyone I know! Shame on you for not being CUSTOMER FRIENDLY and inconveniencing me, the CUSTOMER!

The agent at the airport was very friendly and helpful and the rest of the rental process was very easy. The cost was reasonable and the car was clean.

Supplier choice
Seems very deceptive. They didn't have my car when I went for pickup and alternatively offered me another vehicle that was much more expensive. This seems to be a tactic of their of manipulating customers into higher prices who are stressed for time. I ended up walking out of there, walking down the street, and took my business to Enterprise, who took care of me in a matter of 5 minutes. Never going back to Hertz.

Hertz refused to honor the one way reservation from Lexington to Chicago. They said they didn’t have enough cars. That failure cost me over $500. They did the same thing to several other customers with one way reservations. One dejected younger customer was practically in tears. The height of irresponsible corporate behavior.

Hertz did not have a rental vehicle available for me when I tried to pick up my vehicle. I had to wait 5 days to get a vehicle. That I had a reservation seemed to mean nothing to Hertz. Customer service staff tried to be nice but ultimately I was not helped.

I was unaware that I needed to have my credit card with me. When I booked the rental, it didn’t advise me on what I needed to bring in order to pick it up. I have rented vehicles before and was able to use a debit card. So, I was stranded in Lexington instead of being where I needed to be.

Terrible. I made a reservation through kayak. Upon my arrival I learned Avis was not honoring the reservation. I needed to get to Louisville and struggled to find an alternative route. Result ended up using uber to get home. Absolutely disappointed and learned I can not rely on kayak.
