Nothing. Time spent getting my vehicle, and returning my vehicle, was much less than any other rental car company. I will be choosing Alamo for my rental car needs.

Convenient, affordable, reliable ski trip SUVAble to reserve the all-wheel drive, large-size SUV the day before I needed it and at a very good rate on kayak.com, far less than I expect to pay (40% less than several direct car rental websites). Vehicle was in excellent condition with only 8,000 miles on it. Ran beautifully from Monterey to Tahoe and back through some pretty rough storm conditions. Easy pick-up and return at the Monterey Regional Airport.There was nothing I didn't like about the rental car or the company, or the process of getting it online through kayak.com.

Flat tire and no helpThe car was okCar got a nail in the tire. When I called Alamo, they said they would charge us $65 to change the tire for the spare. Ok, fine. But they didn't have any replacement cars for us. So they wanted us to drive to a firestone, buy a new tire, and then hope to get reimbursed for it. We were on a work trip and a schedule. It was completely ridiculous and unhelpful. I couldn't believe that Alamo and Enterprise didn't have a single car to use for one day! Ended up getting the spare on ourselves. Driving it very slowly to our drop off place 40 min away and just leaving,

No, I tried to call their office various times the day before, and they put me on hold for a long time twice, then just hung up the 3rd try. After that it just went to corporate.The young man I encountered upon arrival was very brusque. Whipped thru the paperwork, and when I asked to confirm the quoted price, he said a price of $40 more. I asked why and he said it was because I was picking it up early (less than an hour difference, the flight was a bit early). He re-did it all to reflect the price I was quoted. Never had anything like that happen before.

Nothing! Didn’t even rent the vehicle!No where in the rental agreement did it say there would be a rental car deposit?!! Therefore I was not prepared with a credit card that could hold that amount of money!! Very disappointed!!

The office closes at 6pm but my flight arrived at midnight... I had to pay $260 for a taxi. Customer service? "our office is currently closed, please call back during out business hours". Awful!

Rental was for 08:00 am, but the car was not ready until 09:00. Was told they do not have the staff and he could not tell me when the car would be ready. Once the car was delivered, still had trash in the back from prior rental.

The staff was great, the service was excellent - easy pick up and drop-off (and the woman staffing the desk remembered me three days later!). I found the entire experience to be easy and understandable (where to go, what to do, etc.) from beginning to end.The car wasn't all that great. It was safe, it was functional, and it was most definitely clean. However, I would have preferred something a little more comfortable and modern, even at my small-car/low-level need.

car was great and so was the service with hertzwe got hit in a parking lot by a car that never left a message for us at all . We are now trying to get through the claim process with Allianz Insurance and Hertz and it seems that it takes too long for all of this to get through

When I called Enterprise no car was available and I was put on waiting list. I live in a tourist area and you might have thought a car was avail. but on busy weekend that wasn't so. Very disappointing! Rent from them frequently by directly phoning no problem. Won't bother using Kayak in future.That you actually check to see if car avail. by phone or other than electronic.

Great serviceLearning the art of advanced booking helps. Even with the pressure of the holidays, the staff maintained professionalism and tried to help others when their cars ran out. Glad I reserved earlier. Awesome ride, they suggested an upgrade which really helped because what I initially reserved, would've been a miserable fit for my size. Good team work! BUT it's a small lot and I don't think there are any other rental places nearby other than the airport, so last minute renters might continue to face off with staff there unfortunately.Not sure when this started but have rental car places stopped caring about the outside of their cars? The inside was ok but the outside seemed it was wiped with a muddy rag. Other than that, nothing bad about this experience for me.

CONVENIENTNo exorbitant airport fees and surcharges. This rental agency is about 3 miles from the Monterey Airport. Take a cab to the office and pick-up there.
