Pros: Not muchCons: Hidden fees because we picked up too close to the airport. Was not offered the option to prepay for fuel and then charged $40 for 4 gallons. Given an inferior when other cars of the same class were available.

Pros: Friendly at pickup and drop off. Went the extra mile when I left my iPad in the car and came back to get it.Cons: Tire was very low at pickup. They put air in it but it went low again the next day and had to find an air pump at gas station to put more air in it.

Pros: Yes, super positive & friendly service.Cons: The shuttle from the terminal runs less frequently than I expected. I did not notice an attempt to encourage travelers to distance themselves. Only the driver was distanced because the front seating area of the bus was roped off. Travelers entered & exited the same door. Most seemed to be cautious of others but there was no direction or facilitation from the staff regarding safety & occupancy limits.

Pros: Pick up took forever. Two desk staff...one guy was trying to accommodate s customer trying to rent without a credit card and the other girl spent 10 min.. small talk with customer...Cons: First car was filthy. Pros: The mini van was clean and fully loaded. Nice staff and I would rent here again, if the need arises.Cons: The parking lot is very small and with more than two customers can be very crowded. The radio was on when I got in to drive it and I had to listen to profanity for several blocks before I figured out how to turn the radio off. It was on a normal station that just happens to play rap, not Avis's fault but had a child been with me it could have been bad, as toddlers repeat everything!

Come on Avis!Pros: ValueCons: Had a tire issue - a bubble I discovered at the end of the first day. It was clearly irrepairable and the Avis representatives I spoke with agreed. However, instead of arranging/authorizing a local replacement they had a service come out and change the tire, putting the spare (a doughnut) on the vehicle. We were in Gallup, New Mexico for the evening, en route to the Grand Canyon. They told me that since the vehicle was driveable, I would have to go to the nearest airport Avis location and exchange for a new vehicle in the morning. I argued, to no avail, on four separate calls to Avis emergency roadside service that driving 185 miles to Flagstaff, AZ on a spare designed for short distances at slow speeds was unsafe and a waste of time since I could not possibly keep anywhere near my trip schedule. After limping to the Flagstaff airport in the morning (over 3-1/2 hours @ 50mph) they had no vehicles available. They authorized a replacement tire and sent me to a local shop to get it replaced. After it was all said and done, our one day visit to the Grand Canyon was reduced to a short drive through on the way to our final destination. Later in the rental (17 days in all), we had a flat - different tire. Rather than deal with Avis again, I changed the tire myself and paid to have the flat repaired. Had no problems with the vehicle other than the tire issues. A problem or two is understandable, even expected, on a long term rental, but the solution Avis chose was not. Not only was it an extreme inconvenience and a safety risk, it was fiscally foolish. If they had just authorized the tire replacement in the first place, I would have changed the tire and driven to a local shop, saving them the expense of the service (like I did with the flat tire later). Also, I would not have bothered with writing this negative review.

Option for shuttle bus to airportPros: The fact that an airport shuttle bus was available early in the morning was very convenient.
Pros: Fairly efficient check out and check in, convenient location.Cons: The car smelled of cigarette smoke. I could tell the rental company had cleaned it, but that smell can't be taken out. It was an unpleasant experience.
10.0 Excellent20 Apr 2021
Pros: Under the circumstances, the staff was quite accommodating. When I arrived for pick-up, there was not a car available and the staff could not give me a time frame for when I would be getting a car. I mentioned that I had to be in Wichita, KS (from OKC) by 4pm (It was a little after 11AM). When a car became available, it was at the airport location and still needed to be cleaned up and driven to the I-240 location. Instead of making me wait, a staff person drove me over to the airport to the car so I would not have to wait longer than necessary for someone to bring it to me. This was really helpful and I appreciated it.Cons: Obviously, a car waiting for me when I arrived at my scheduled pick up time would have been ideal, but it worked out and, again, the staff was handled it well.

Cons: Enterprise cancelled my reservation without telling me. When I showed up to pick up my car they claimed they had tried calling me and that I also should have made the reservation several days in advance which made no sense since I had in fact made the reservation several days in advance. I’m not sure if it is a company wide policy to cancel reservations without confirming with the customer or just this one rental agent who messed up but luckily for me I was able to make other arrangements.

Cons: I reserved a car for the weekend. I had a colleague drive me 30 minutes because he live that way, only to be told they had no cars available. It was a nightmare and I will never use kayak again.
Pros: I didn't like anything. It was a mess.Cons: The place I booked for pickup was closed (had been closed for a year). I called customer service and was on hold 45 minutes. When I finally talked with someone she was rude and condescending then hung up on me. I went in to pick up the truck at a different place, per customer service, but it had been cancelled. The lady there spent 15 minutes trying to figure out what happened and seeing if they had a truck. When I went to pay she said hertz only takes major credit cards and requires a $500 deposit. I don't own credit cards so was unable to get the truck and had to cancel all my plans.

Pros: Nothing - they could not assist us with what occurred.Cons: i could of had a vehicle not have my vehicle cancelled and given to Amazon approximately 18 hours before I was to pick it up after confirming two days earlier it was available. Buyer / Renter beware - they are giving vehicles to third parties without servicing customers who had reservations. I would not recommend them.

Pros: The car comes better than I expectedCons: I nearly had to pay 400 dollars for an after-hour drop off, because the location I intended to return the car to was closed 2 hours prior to Hertz websites advertising, and no key box or anything to allow for key drop off. Called the Hertz client service, nobody picked up the phone on Monday at 6pm. I waited there for nearly half an hour, then a Hertz employee showed up randomly and took the key for return, otherwise I would have ended up paying 400 dollars extra and had to suffer a change of location. Very very poor returning experience!!!

Jeep renegade is NOT an SUV.Pros: It drove just fine. It was clean.Cons: First thing first, i understand you cannot guarantee a brand or model of car. However, giving me a Jeep renegade and calling it "RAV4 or similar" is laughable. The RAV4 has 73.4 cubic feet of cargo space. This boxy little jeep has 50.8. That's quite a drastic difference. I fit more stuff in my 06 Corolla, and I'm being completely serious. Secondly, the RAV4 gets ~31mpg on the highway. This 4x4 box averaged 22 over 2 days. It's supposed to get 31 but it didn't. Maybe it needs a tune up.

Pros: The process was easy.Cons: The line at the Airport was long.
Pros: Thrifty charged $300 againsst my bank debit card without any explanation and told me upon returning the car that it would take up to 10 days to restore this amount. I will not rent from Thrifty again.
Pros: Car drop off was the only thing that was not filled with complications.Cons: The pick up of the car to an extra hour. We waited for 45 minutes to be picked up. I was harassed about insurance on the car. I provided my insurance and was still harassed. He called my insurance to make sure my documents were not fake. Felt interrogated. The car was in very bad shape. Large dents in the from and back not very clean on inside and cigarette burns on the seats. The worst rental I have ever seen. I asked about my 60.00 deposit they said it would be refunded with no problem at drop off. I forgot something in the car. Called multiple times to asked if they had recovered it. Had the distinct feeling they did not check and did not care. However, leaving was my fault but still felt as if they didn't help me. I dropped the car off on the 15th of may. After multiple calls and checks I finally received my deposit back on the 31st of may. I also only received a partial deposit refund because of a flat tire that occurred while I had the rental. The bad thing about that was, when I had the flat, I called to check to see if it was a problem. They said it was no big deal they would fix it when I returned it. I could have fixed it myself for far cheaper than they did but there was no mention of any charge when I asked or dropped the car off. This was a terrible experience and you should not rent cars to anyone using this service. If you continue to use this company, they will alienate more customers. They did an extremely poor job. Driving in Oklahoma City is comparable to many other US cities and quite an enjoyable undertaking. Road conditions are not pristine in some places, so driving defensively and slowing down can be helpful. It is also important to note that Oklahoma drivers have a reputation for being quite impatient, especially during rush hour.
Traffic congestion is not as bad in Oklahoma as in other cities like Boston or LA; yet, if possible, try to avoid driving through the city between 7-9 in the morning and 5-7 in the evening. Most affected are the I-235 and I-44, as they narrow down into two lanes, making wait times of up to an hour. Make sure to plan well in advance, especially when going to the airport, and check the current traffic situation before leaving the accommodation.
