We could not rent a car from Hertz because we had temporary enhanced CDLs from WA state that were in paper form. WA confiscated our old plastic CDLs and left us with only paper ones. Hertz in CA doesn't consider that suitable for renting a car unless we have an accompanying plastic state ID or passport. Even though we were assured by the state of WA that our temporaries would be sufficient for everything we need short of crossing the US border. The gal at Hertz wouldn't budge and we had to make several expensive Uber trips to get around that day. We lost a LOT of money and valuable time due to this setback. Next time we will just rent an uncomfortable pickup truck from U-Haul. That way we won't have to put up with rental agency corporate BS.2.0 Poor

Homeboy at Enterprise told me third party insurance, which I bought through Kayak, would'nt be recognized through Enterprise if anything happened to the vehicle. It was also advertised as unlimited miles in 3 different places including my confirmation email. However, I was told I only had 150 miles a day when I picked it up.
