Cons: Insurance of $32 a day upped the overall bill by 1000%!!!

Horrible customer service
Pros: Shuttle driver to airport was friendly and fast.
Cons: We pulled up to return our car and no one came to greet us. When we went inside, the rep at the counter acted like we were a huge inconvenience. I asked to speak to her manager because the charges weren't making sense - she said her manager 'wasn't in' and that my issues were 'not her problem.'

Cons: It's the usual bait-and-switch Mexico. The car rental was $4 and then they hit you with the ridiculous insurance and then while no other then there we have used if charged a drop-off fee at the airport or the hotel they charged us $16 plus tax to drop off the car after not mentioning them when I booked it.
Pros: Unfortunately there isn't much to like at this rental place.
Cons: The workers at the counter will raise prices knowing it's late and there isn't anything you can do about it. I would stay away if possible.

Cons: The Kayak price doesn't include tax or insurance. Insurance is mandatory and expensive and they taxed me 35%. So don't expect the unbelievable $6/day quote you are getting. It's more like $60/day.
Dollar had a very sleazy manager that kept lowering the price when he realized we weren't interested. They're exchange rate was also almost 20% worse than the normal rate everywhere else.
He lowered it to a price that was still too high and we ended up walking next door to Budget rent a car where the service was 10 times better and they were up front about everything.

Cons: The "insurance" forced on you is a scam. Happens every time... I'm not going back to Mexico again....they screw you on everything all day long!
Cons: The prices offered in internet are NOT real!!!! you end up paying 3 times more. The insurance cost is excessively high! Worst experience ever! At the end we got a taxi...if you book a taxi with your hotel it will cost half the price compared to the taxis at the airport.

Whatcha out for these guy!!!
Cons: What a complete bunch of lies. They promised me a weekly rental at $240, but when I arrived, I was required to have an additional $400 worth of insurance. I went with Thrifty because they are well known in The US, but they are obviously not paying attention to how their Cabo oporationot is treating their customers. I had no choice and had to continue with the rental. I had my two young daughters with me and I wasn't about to drag them around the airport looking for another rental car.
Then, to make it even sleezier, there is a time share company with an office there at Trifty that will pay your additional insurance charge on the car if you go sit through a two hour tours at one of their properties. I feel scammed.
Cons: The staff at europcar refused to honor the reservation as in their own words "You got the car very cheap". They quoted a price of $200 for the 2 days instead of the $65 I had booked.

Reserved a minivan for $100. Got a tiny sedan for
Cons: They saw my crying baby and knew I couldn't walk out so they screwed me. Other people on my trip renting from other places paid 1/3 what I was charged.
And Europecar doesn't even pretend to reserve vehicles. I'm doubtful they ever have minivans in their fleet at this location, but they assured me they did right until I arrived and was standing at the counter.
Pros: I read all the crazy reviews of rental companies in Cabo and found Alamo seemed ok
I got online reservation for like $30 for 4 days but knew that wouldn't be the real price with insurance. The liability only price was $148 and was lower than I expected so I asked to up the insurance to full insurance. It came out to $200 and they were nice to me and didn't even care that I was 1.5 hrs late returning it! Good experience
Cons: The car was new but pretty crappy compared to American cars. Tiny wheels and weak engine
