Pros: Drop off was easy but the pickup was a major issue. 2hr wait and didn't get the size vehicle I paid for. Also, the vehicle had sensors going off, brake lights didn't work, and got the car on empty gas tank.Cons: Better support, customer service, and coordination. Reserved a month in an advance and got treated like I just reserved the prior day. Will never rent through Hertz again.

Cons: It all went smoothly once we got to airport. The person at the national number was very helpful and courteous. I called the hertz rental desk at SFD airport with a question and the lady was really rude. Overall we were pleased and would rent again from hertz.

Pros: Staff was niceCons: The car already had damage, 1 tire was low on air and the front end did not feel or sound completely right. I have never received a car in this poor of condition and when you rent a premium car you expect something in better condition than this. It was a nice car but that experience was stolen due to the poor condition of the car. It also was not cleaned as well as you would expect but that didn't bother me as it did have 40000 miles on it.

Pros: PriceCons: Drop off time was less than 48hr rental agreement because location closed early on Sundays. Did not offer late drop off with drop box unless you pay an extra full day. Desk rep told me I couldn't use my own toll transponder or I would get charged twice and no way around that (never had this issue with other rental companies).

Pros: CHRYSLER VAN WAS NICE & ROOMY.Cons: I drove down to Enterprise the week before when i made the reservation with KAYAK to confirm they had me in the system.....and they did. When i went to pickup the van Enterprise said they cancelled the order......WHAT!!!!! Representative said they tried to reach me by phone the day before and did not get me to confirm rental........WHAT! I showed him the VMS i recieved and that I called right back and did not get a sole to answer the phone. I told the Rep that most other companies use TEXT to verify / confirm transactions. Glad I saved the VMS & Phone call times. My guess is that they rented my van to another unhappy customer? Manager came out and resolved the issue and had a van delivered from the airport to their site......I had to come back later to pickup the van. Never had much luck with Enterprise and probably will avoid using them again.......always seem shady in their dealings with me.

The local AVIS reprepsentative at 340 FL-16 St Augustine, FL 32084 gets a major kudos on this one - see below for what he helped us avoid.Cons: We had to change the driver on our reservation at the last minute bc my sister-in-law suffered an eye injury at work and wasn't able to see to drive (she's a nurse). Instead of allowing us to change the driver on our original reservation, they made us cancel it - with penalty - and make an entirely new reservation for double the original cost. Very very disappointing, especially treating a front line worker like that during the time of COVID! Then, at the end of the reservation, we needed to return the car to a different location than where we picked it up due to a change in our flight. The local AVIS reprepsentative at 340 FL-16 St Augustine, FL 32084 gets a major kudos on this one. I called his location which was only 4 miles from where we were staying and he said he could accept our return. I called back because I forgot to ask him if there was any fee for returning to a different location than the pick-up location, but he was busy so I got AVIS national. They told me I could return the car there for the low low price of a little over $700!!! WTF .... unbelievable. And the representative tried to convince me that paying over $1000 for a 4-day car rental was somehow a "good deal." Absolutely ridiculous. I called the local rep back and he told me he would waive that fee. Thankfully, he was true to his word and we were only charged the original fee we were quoted. However, still double our original reservation. So I have to say AVIS, I don't see renting from you again in the future.

Cons: We picked up our rental late in the evening. The following day we went to use the car and found it was infested with small spiders that were coming out of every crevice and all over the seats. The customer service to get the issue corrected was poor. I could either wait around for however much time it would take to get a tow truck and ride with them to get a new vehicle. All the while I was missing the conference I flew in to attend. I decided to drive the infested car myself to save time and get a new one. It was replaced, but I had to wait for the new car to be cleaned. Again all the while missing my conference. I was not compensated for the hassle or time I was not able to utilize the original car that was given.

Drop off was quick and easy.Cons: When we arrived at the counter no one was around, waited about 5 minutes before she came in from outside. When you book online it says that there will be a deposit taken but says it will be based on the vehicle rented. We had rented a small SUV and it ended up being $290 plus what I paid for the rental. Wish I would have known it would be so much, took a large piece of my spending money for the time there. Now you get this deposit back but are unable to use it on vacation.

Dropping off car in lot, I did not appreciate being harassed by the return agent while I was trying to get my 3 pieces of luggage organized, and loose items stowed away, like my GPS. I only asked for 5 minutes, but agent would not leave me alone. However: All in all the best experience I had renting a car at Sanford in a long time.Cons: Keys were a wad in my pocket for the entire week. Had to stuff them in a pants pocket wherever I went. How about some thoughtfulness when giving out 4 separate items on a braided steel cord that will not compress flat. Perhaps, give customer the option to "cut the cord" at the counter. Particularly for people dropping off at the pickup point.
