Location was good. Price was low. Kids liked pool Room was in major disrepair. Paint in shower was peeling, walls were peeling, rust stains, carpets were really dirty (black feet)
Closeness of the beach. The price of the food. A little over priced
Nothing .. Location is not bad
the staff was nice old, most outlets didn't work, lights didn't work, no mini fridge that was promised, uncomfortable bed and pillows, no blanket on bed only sheets, I hope to never stay there again
It was on the beach the kids loved the lil Waterpark n pool had basket ball goal. The hot water was hard to turn on in the bath tub. The faucet was stripped out. The beds were okay wasn't the best
Nothing Terrible hotel
The beach was nice and the restaurant by the beach was ok. Staff was friendly. They have a big pool but in meed of maintenance. The whole hotel is very old and in urgent need for remodel. The whole feel is of a cheap motel. Our first room smelled like vomit. They change us to another room. Bathrooms are old. Our toilet bowl was loose. Overall this hotel can't be a 3 star hotel. Rooms are in the category of a motel 6.
Location was great. Pool was clean and water temperature was perfect. Pool towels were provided at the facility. Hot tub was relaxing (although a little too hot.. but we still enjoyed it). Beach was clean and not crowded. The rooms were clean and included a refrigerator and microwave. The staff was nice. The hotel offers SMS services so you don't have to call or go to the front desk every time. Just send a text message to the number provided and someone answers within 2 minutes. Good eating spots within walking distance. Bed was uncomforable and light bled through the window at night. Some people staying there/hanging outside were a little sketchy so we traveled as a group after dark. Hotel beach-side bar closed too early. We went around 11 pm and it was closed.
It was really close to the port, excelent service, great location. It was clean. It's just a little outdated, the rest was perfect
The location and staff are great, but the hotel is falling apart needs some major repairs. The rate is too high for the time of the year I went. December.
Location was nice. Carpeted floor was damp. Bathtub faucet had a steady stream/leak. Handle was cracked so it wouldn't fully shut off. Very annoying to listen to all night and very wasteful. Interior front door handle of room was loose and it was difficult getting the door open. The handle fell off completely the last night of our stay. I was very disappointed. The spa closes at 10pm so my wedding night was spent in a dank hotel room listening to a leaking faucet. For this price, I would have expected at least a continental breakfast.
Walking distance to water and localized pretty well Too much to list. Let's just say was worth it for price and 1 night exp since wasn't in room much
Though the pool looked very tempting, the brief walk across the street to the beach looked even better! Lower level room was clean and quiet, even with bar upstairs. Employee at breakfast was diligent in cleaning constantly. Edges of bathtub looked old and worn.
Bed was little hard for me
Good location, nice facility with some interesting history and very pleasant staff. Would definitely return!
Staff is very accommodating and friendly Room renovations are wonderful, loved our room! Quiet Reasonably priced ample parking close to attractions There was nothing we did not like.
The staff were very helpfull The bathroom flooded, the fixtures were old, and the room smelled of some severe cleaning solution.
Room was very nice ... Had everything we needed .. Pool area very nice Yard crew using blowers while people were in the area
Close to beach access. Good value. Not enough towels. Room for 4 and only given 3 towels.
the location was easily accessible. the price was ok. the desk mgr was attentive blood stains at the bottom corners of the mattress. odor in the room. large critter in the bathroom. (1.2" reddish brown ?) La Quintas are officially off my list...
Comfortable room, particularly the beds. Great pool and facilities. N/A
Book this for a one night getaway. Room was recently renovated and clean. All requests were taken care of, and they called the room an hour after check in to see if we needed anything. Would stay again. They are in the midst of a renovation. There wasn't any noise, but there were some dumpsters and equipment around, did not get a heads up. Breakfast was typical, not too appetizing.
Close to Cocoa Beach and Port Canaveral The chain lock on the door was broken so I did not sleep well nor feel secure. The bathroom was disgusting and looked as though it had not been cleaned in years. I booked this reservation through Kayak but ended up also being charged by La Quinta. So I was double charged. After reviewing my bank statement and realizing this today, I contacted La Quinta and they did apologize and a refund is being processed. The hotel just did not seem clean and we will not be going back.
The staff is very friendly and the location was convinet to a lot of things The floors are very dirty my feet got black after 10 minutes of walking barefoot. The showerhead was mildewed as was the tiller paper holder.bed was not very comfortable
Water front. Liked that the BEST. Comfy beds The doors slam so loudly Morning and night !!
We live in SW Florida but decided to go to Cocoa Beach for a mini vacation. The hotel is nice and was a great price on Kayak. Plus when we got there the hotel upgraded us for free to a mini suite with a view of the ocean! The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was very clean. Staff were friendly. We ordered room service for breakfast. It was average and right on time. The beach is amazing! The bathroom was small but still nice.
Great access to the beach. The brownies at the coffee shop were delicious. There were two, not one, but two, fire alarms in the middle of the night while we were there. When you are woken up at 4:00am, and again at 6:00, it makes for a long, unpleasant night.
Hotel restaurant was slow to seat, even with empty chairs. Seem as if there were no one in charge.
Staff and view were amazing !! Somebody needs to sit in the bathtub in rm. 654 . See what we see ! You see PVC pipes under sink. The ceiling was chipped paint ! The drywall was the shottiest job I have ever seen ! Somebody okayed that job ! It was a renovated room already , if that is the case , the standards were Days inn , at hilton prices !!!! As you can tell not happy at all ! We love hilton hotels , but may have to reconsider this one !!
The hotel was very nice and clean. The location was wonderful, right on the ocean. The air conditioner was very load and woke my husband up each time it kicked in. Had to pay separate for parking- which is in my opinion ridiculous.
Ocean front and deck Didn't like being charged for parking in just a big parking lot $6.00 a day is too steep and being charged for the last day was wrong when we checked out on time
The view was spectacular! The beach is also surprisingly uncrowded. We loved the food and drinks at the Hilton's restaurant and patio bar. All of the other staff throughout the property (except at the front desk) were very friendly, gracious and welcoming. Seriously, once you get checked in, you feel very well taken care of. Our room was immaculate and comfortable. We'd read online that the front desk staff was rude. We were actually surprised to find that those reviews were absolutely true. These employees must go through some sort of special training to be so unhelpful, unfriendly and act like your checking in to the hotel is interrupting their day of scowling. They live in this paradise. Why so grumpy? Also, this hotel was the only one around that didn't have a balcony. When you see your view, you quickly become disappointed about this fact.
Nice Water Front Hotel; heated pool was very nice. Good Breakfasts each Morning. Arrived with our reservation all booked up; so we had to settle for a lesser value location.
I had a balcony room with an ocean view. It was wonderful. The staff was very friendly. Nothing
Closeness to the beach
The location was excellent and staff was great. The room smelled funky
Great customer service. After having a bad run-in with Economy rentalcars, and getting to the hotel at almost midnight, the woman at the front desk was fantastic and helped get my vacation back on track!
Loved the suite room with a separate bedroom, with the view of the Atlantic and the sunrise! Trying to get young children to sleep, it was very noisy by the poolside, with swimmers screaming "Marco Polo" from 8:00 to past 10:00. Too bad the beds are not located on the quieter side of the suite, which I know would not be possible.
Ocean front view-on the beach, great breakfast, hard working staff.
We had a double Queen room, which usually means queen beds stuffed into the same size rooms as the full size beds. Nope! Pleasantly surprised! the room was larger, the fridge was larger than the normal Mini you usually get. there were towels everywhere! LOL! The air worked very well. The bed was very comfy. The room was clean. the breakfast was a real Hot breakfast, not just bagels & pastries. Eggs, hot cakes, meats, oatmeal, grits, as well as bagels & pastries. It was good for a fast hot hotel breakfast. We would stay again, I just hope it's sooner than later! thanks for the nice stay, Best Western is now on my go to list! If I had to pick something, it would be the parking & the Tiki-Bar wasn't open on a Saturday afternoon! the weather wasn't good, so that's probably why.
Convenient Shower would not drain Ants/small bugs in my room
Right on the beach, nice beds and very clean. Staff was excellent, very welcoming.
The location was excelent and it's in a quiet area, but close to restaurants, shopping, and only steps from the beach and pier. Rooms could be cleaner. Underneath the bed skirting (that skirt that hides the base underneath the bed) were things from prior guest - bottle caps, floss, ugggh. Other than that, it was a decent place. I marked it overall as good, because nowdays, unless your paying $200 or more a night, thats about the cleanest you can expect.
Beds uncomfortable, noisy
I realize it's south Florida, but seriously... The amount of ants inside your room and overall cleanliness of the room makes you look twice at your receipt. At least the bed sheets were clean. Ants, parking can be a challenge, getting your room cleaned for a new day.
The location is amazing. Close to the peir and beach. The main dislike is the 4pm checkin. The waffle maker wasn't working one morning but the other breakfast foods made up for it.
Breakfast was nice The ocean breeze was pretty chilly one night, a jacuzzi would have been nice.
The closeness to the beach (100yds max), Cocoa Beach Pier is literally a 5 minute walk if that. Closeness to Port Canaveral. It is literally infested with ants. Ants all over the sink, toilet, tub. The air conditioning is old school, so it's incredibly loud and meh on cooling ability. Parking can be tough at times, especially at night. Did I mention the amount of ants already? Well it deserves to be mentioned again. Room cleaning is ridiculous. They come around once at around 8ish. Either you get your room cleaned and stocked with towels then or you are screwed for the rest of the day. They do not come back if they skipped your room earlier and seem to be done with work around 3.
The breakfast was awesome! Loved it! Rooms were clean and comfy Would rather have an inside hallway than to go outside to the room.
closeness to the ocean. Access path to beach right off the pool had and incident with anther guests child spitting on a sleeping freind poolside. management threatened to throw the sleeping person out when she was offended and wanted an apology.
Staff was very friendly and helpful at all times, good breakfast, free parking, room size and views o.k. air condition noisy and did not smell well
We upgraded to an ocean view room and the view from the balcony was lovely. Hotel is a short walk from cocoa beach. The sand is lush and waves are big! 20 minute walk to the pier where the friendly staff serve fab cocktails with a great view out to sea and the beautiful long beach. We loved it here, just a shame we only stayed the 1 night! Dislikes - air con unit in the room was too loud. It sounded like a motorcycle engine so had to turn it off to sleep. Ended up propping the balcony door open with a chair. The complimentary breakfast is poor quality. Coffee and pastry was ok.
Comfortable, clean, helpful staff, well located, easy parking, good restaurant.
we stayed here because it was the location of an event we were going to attend .... it was just an ok hotel for the money ... nothing wrong just nothing exceptional, For the top end dollar you pay for a room at double tree ... I expect more then one chocolate chip cookie and a beach front red roof inn with a bar. I was constantly being asked if i belonged to their double tree club... and treatment seems to depend on that ... maybe you get different service then but I for one dont want to belong to a club to get what i'm already paying for... those perks come from the revenue generated by all of our business. Just another place that wants to treat a select few like rock stars and the rest of us like paupers with the moneys all of us pay for .... sad new standard in customer service. most staffers seemed unhelpful and in capable of helping with the simplest tasks ... Might I borrow a pair if scissors? can you dirrect me to a non tourist shopping area.... and until I found a staff member that was originally from my home state, I may as well been talking to deaf staffers, makes me even more happy I booked with kayak and got the best deal possible.... like I said beach front red roof with bar.
Convenient location to the beach, lots of parking, convenient to shopping and restaurants. Did not provide beach chairs for free or for a low price. Charging $10 for a lounge was too much.
Loaction on beach front. Quality and range of food in the complimentary exuctive lounge was dissapointing
We liked our waitress Cora and the location to the beach. The pool area was dirty with empty glasses and pool toys, there was no hot tub for adults to enjoy.
The beach was wonderful!
The rooms were like apartments and close to restaurants. The scenery around the hotel was very nice. Our trunk of a locked car was broken into.
Great location, heated swimming pool a strong plus. No TV in any bedrooms
What I liked best about Wakulla Suites was their location. Cocoa Beach is a nice coastal town to visit. This was very close to the beach. The room was not so clean.
That there were 2 bedrooms and a kitchen area. I would take the name "resort" out of the title. It certainly wasn't a Resort, more of a motel, but having 2 bedrooms (especially with three young children) offset the dated appearance of the facility.
Lots of things wrong in my room
Near to the Beach, Kennedy Space Center and the Port Canaveral. Our room was next to the street, and we would have liked to have any place outside the room to sit down and relaxed. Like a chair and a little table.
The staff were super friendly & helpful. The rooms are spacious & clean. They let us check in 4 hrs early & at last minute let us stay another night in the same room. They are currently undergoing renovations as the rooms are very dated. However, for the price, location, & being FREE FROM BUGS we'll continue to go back. The pool & pool area were clean along with the rest of the grounds. The atmosphere was perfect for what we were looking for. The beach is a short walk across a dead-end street. Perfect if you have a child that darts off on you, they won't make it to the water before you do! ;) We love this place & we'll be back in the future! Looking forward to seeing the renovations completed!! The carpet in the living room was old & dirty and the kitchen wasn't fully stocked with supplies. It did have enough things to make a small meal though. We also had an issue with one of the bedroom windows as it would not stay shut. The maintenance man did what he could to fix the problem but did not have the right parts. He was able to get it to stay shut during our 3 day stay though.
Hotel staff was very accomodating amd the flora is AMAZING! The big grill we tried to use doesnt work and the AC didnt get cool enough to be comfortable at night. Definitely wouldnt stay here during the warmer months!...til they fix AC issues..which may never happen.
Close to ocean, a lot of space in room, excelent pool, beautiful garden, large living- room
I had a very nice stay and would book again The rooms were a little dated ,needed new furniture, but not bad enough that I would not return.
Large, comfortable suites with complete kitchen, located close to the beach and to Kennedy Space Center.
Most everything, I stayed in a suite and love it.
The only reason they got a 2 was because IF the rooms were clean, it would be a good hotel. And the staff seems nice. Particularly one if the cleaning crew guys whom was very friendly and warm. My room was dirty. Not to the immediate eye. There were food remains under the bed, couch and behind the dresser. There was a bottle of cleaner left behind one day on the dresser by my stuff. There was chalky food on the couch. And my key didnt work 2 separate days. I addressed the issues to the Sheraton, I got an email back stating they would address the issues. I got a call from the assistant manager from the Four Points to apologize. I will not stay there again nor recommend it.
Our room was nicely sized, neat, clean, and up to date, with the amenities that you would expect from Sheraton. We had a very nice room. The staff was professional and very nice and accommodating. No Issues at all. Not sure where some of the reviews are coming from, but we would definitely stay there again, and recommend it to others. It is connected to the Cocoa Beach Surf Company store (very nice) and a wonderful Restaurant/Grill with huge shark/fish tank, and a Starbucks! - no need to venture outside for coffee if it happens to be raining. Oh, and its next door to Ron Jon! But don't disregard the CBSC... The ONLY thing that would make this hotel better, would be if it were closer to, or on the beach. It's not a far walk at all, though, but might be too far for folks with small kids and carrying a ton of stuff. In that event, Alan Shepherd park is about a block away with parking ($10 per day) on the beach, or there are other free park(ing) options nearby as well.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to be accommodating.
Had a mix up the first night we stayed before our cruise, and front desk attendant was very rude, the next morning the Front Desk Supervisor was VERY helpful and apologetic! I wish I could remember his name to call the manager of the hotel.
there was a marathon and the room I booked was not available. The staff did their best to accommodate our needs but we did not get what we paid for.
Hotel was everything to be expected from a Courtyard by Marriot. Being a beach location it is to be expected that the rooms have an odor to them. But it was not a major issue as we spent most of our time in the ocean.
It was the nicest courtyard we have seen. The location is awesome! Although the staff was nice, 2 out of 3 seemed disengaged, especially the Starbucks employees, I tried to check out and I don't think she looked at me once.
Was fairly close to beach access walkway. I do not like the staff walking around the front desk, standing so close and then giving gestures and directions to the elevators. This ccorporate gibberish for touchy feely needs to stop, it is offensive.
The hotel was modern and very clean. The staff were polite and very helpful. Parking was limited and we had a hard tome finding a spot to park.
Very clean. Our whirlpool in our suite didn't work, but when I complained, the only option they gave us was free breakfast.
Meeting people and spending time with family. Lunch food was mediocre at best. Selections were limited and generic buffet style.
Great location and excellent spacious room. I wish there had a breakfast included.
Great location, Beautiful lobby. Easy access to beach.
Marriott properties and always good not enough parking
a It was not directly on the beach. If I select the highest star and priced hotel to go to the beach I would want the hotel to be directly on the beach not to have to lug all my stuff through a couple parking lot to even reach the beach
We liked that the hotel was centrally located from restaurants, shops, Port Canaveral and even a good distance from Kennedy Space Center The description and photos of the hotel were misleading. Their definition of queen-size beds was in reality a double bed. The mattresses were comfortable, but the bed frame was wobbly so if you move the whole bed shakes. The room was very small but had been refurbished, so the bathroom was the nicest in terms of decor. The floors felt like plywood, so when you walk it sounds like we're stomping. Our room was not in the oceanfront condos, so we didn't get a nice view (ours was the parking lot and the raised tennis court). Our room was a step below a motel room, which is saying something. It wasn't worth the price and we will not return to this location.
Everything. Most relaxing place to stay in Cocoa Beach. Fifth time staying here and wouldn't stay anywhere else as long as the have a room available.
An unexpeted surprise. First time staying at this hotel, beautiful beach front. We could certainly tell that someone is taking care of this place too, although parts of it are a bit dated, our room/building was completely remodeled and CLEAN, one of the pools was brand new and the grounds and room was very clean. We've stayed at 3 other beachfront hotels in the past few years and this by far was the best of them all for value, location and cleanlliness. The front entrance of the hotel is a bit misleading, meaning it's much better that it looks from the road. I was totally impressed with the cleanliness of the entire place.
The location of the hotel is good, close to the beach, restaurants, center of Cocoa Beach. The garden and swimming pool look quite good. Extremely unclean, bug in the room. They changed the room for the second night and it was cleaner. Motel6 has a client satisfaction hotline, I did not call to place a complaint, allthough I should have. The only reason to stay there is the price.
It was conveniently located. Yes, the housekeeper(LaDonna)was rude, inconsiderate, and pushy. When I was taking a nap and she came to do the room, I shouted out I don't want service loud enough for her to know to go away and she kept pounding on the door for me to answer it. When I finally couldn't take it anymore, I got up and answered it-only for her to tell me I needed to sign her sheet saying I didn't want the maid service. She could have finished her rounds and come back for that-IF she absolutely had to have that or they could have left us a card to sign and leave out so we didn't have to be disturbed. It was VERY aggravating.
The beds were clean & comfortable. Swimming pool was clean but not heated. Complimentary mmorning coffee was welcome. Most of the plastic sunbeds around the pool were broken. Steps and walkways to our upstairs room are badly cracked and need maintenance. Overall appearance was shabby.
Except the location. I did not like one single thing. Too few to name.
Very friendly staff Room was clean but there was a cockroach on my clothes in the morning There were no chairs to sit on except a few around the pool Did not feel cozy
Ease of check in and change of reservation due to shuttle reschedule. Good parking availability on the main strip. Very close to beach and attractions. Good sized room for 2 of us with double beds. Clean linen etc. All scoring points would have been excellent if the bad points had not been present The outside walkways could do with regular cleaning up of cigarette butts carelessly discarded. The cleaning of the room. The shower control was loose and pulled from the housing when pulled to switch on
good rates rooms new paint, foors&furniture only one entrance to pool the other two looked.no coffee unless you walked to front office.ice there also. nite time activity high possible Brothel & drug busness in rear rooms .
Beach location, cleanliness and very comfortable. Front desk attendant at check in, the rest of the staff were very kind and helpful.
Located near resturants and necessity shopping Too basic
Desk clerk on check in was very nice. bugs, kind of dirty room, stale smell, mold smell, burn holes in bedspreads, no coffee maker, large gap around door let in hot air & bugs
Nothing had to wait a while to check in only to have a roach crawl across the floor Everything had to stay at a competitor same night at 1130 pm with a crying baby
Staff was great.Very affordable. Clean room. Rooms need remodeled.
Proximity to the port for cruise line The pavers, could hear suitcases and cleaning carts click clack across the pavers.
The king suite was very comfortable and the tub was huge (basically next to bed)! The products used in the rooms were so wonderful, I am buying some for personal use online! Two free drinks at Tiki Bar provided when room was not ready (30 minutes after check-in time). For guests staying at the hotel, my husband and I thought it was silly that we had to pay for parking, although affordable ($6). There is a 'Barnie's Coffee Shop' in the lobby, which was intriguing in comparison to standard room coffee; however, when I went to get "specialty" coffee, it was the same coffee in the room AND I was CHARGED for it ($2+)!
The room was very comfortable, I like the paddle fan and the amenities. Great pool.
Lovely grounds but needs more attendants to clean up after guests pool was beautiful not too cold room appeared clean Jacuzzi had bad smell pool towels were a 45 minute wait bed not good maybe sleep number is not for us carpet was moldy and smelt of feet Next time I would go for a newer property and pay more Maybe it was the timing of being Christmas Day maybe they only had a skeleton crew? Either way it was not a good experience
The beds and linens were awesome. Bed was super comfortable. Very nice atmosphere at the pool bar. I was dissspointed there was no morning breakfast included in the fee. Continental breakfast is pretty standard anymore at a hotel of this caliber.
Our room had broken lamp, broken "select comfort" bed, generally not clean to the level you would expect for a $200/night hotel. Long hair(s) in multiple places in room (including nicely folded bath towels - yuck). Toilet bowl had shavings from someone who was not in my family (double yuck). Doors on rooms had security brackets in door jam near lock to prevent door from being pried open (not a good sign). Common areas beat up and/or dirty. General disappointment basing my decision to stay here on the reviews on Kayak. Pool was nice though.
The pool is awesome.
The room is comfortable, large and nice. Had to pay for parking and not enough parking
Great location to the cruise terminals. Clean and updated room.
Convenient to the KSC If it were a rainy day I'd have had a real problem with the lack of parking spots that somehow cost an additional $6.... Seriously? $6 for parking? Get a lot of walk ins do ya?
Shaun at the Tiki Bar was great. He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of.
We had a group of thirteen going on a cruise out of port canaveral and stayed here the night before. The front desk staff was great. We had a smooth check in and they made the arrangements to get us to the ship in the morning. Rooms were clean. Pool was nice. Perfect for what we needed. We would stay here again.
Great location - inexpensive. Planned and stayed only for 1 night. It's pretty ghetto. Got what we paid for.
Proximity to the beach! Dirt build up in corners of bathroom floor, no mini fridge in room, breakfast was tasteless and sad, management was sloppy (as viewed in the lobby), check in clerk was not warm and inviting and looked tired and disheveled.
The location to the port is great. The bed felt like bricks. Outdated decor. Odd stains on bed skirt. Too many smoking right outside the door. The smell was horrible. A short overnight stay the room was tolerable. Definitely wouldn't stay longer. The walk to get ice wasn't safe.
Competitive rate, good cruise & park deal, good location, good breakfast, very nice facility. Very nice staff . no complaints
Check in clerk (jessie)not profesional at all ,not to helpfull and very rude
It was quite and reasonably clean the beach was very close with entertainment and places to shop and eat out the rooms could be fresher and the comforters and blankets needed to be cleaner
The hotel was filthy, if the stay had been any longer we would have checked out. We had to get the carpets cleaned in both rooms and we are all suffering from bites. Please do not use this hotel
Location by the pier
Clean and comfortable room with a fantastic view! The ice machine was pretty far away, but this inconvenience is hardly worth mentioning.
Close to the beach. The only thing that i was disappointed with was the cleaning of my room.
I only stayed one night. The beach way very accesable. It was a very nice motel.
I liked the location. It was only two minutes walk to the beach, there were restaurants and a supermarket nearby and it was easy to travel to other places in the area.it was good to have a microwave and refrigerator in the room.
Absolutely adored the quaint charm of this throwback. Perfect place for a beach getaway and to enjoy Florida the way it was before high rise hotels and Disney became how Floridian tourism does business. Family run and the staff is friendly and helpful. Uncomfortable beds.
staff oooooooold hotel. really old. like wtf thats old.
I really liked how close to the beach it was! It's really close to resturants. For the money it's worth it because honestly how much time do you really spend at the hotel on vacation? The staff was great and helpful! Daniel was funny and would keep things at the desk for me when I went to the beach! The hotel it's self needs updating new carpets and such but it's over all not that bad!
