Cons: I had made an appointment to pick up the car at 12pm. I got to the counter after a 50 minute wait. one guy 5 in front of me was there for 90 minutes. this Dollar rental store didn't care about what was going on. management just ignored it. I will not be using them again.

Terrible Customer Service
Pros: The car was clean... that's all.
Cons: The gentleman who helped me when I picked up the rental was extremely short with me. He refused to look me in the eyes and mumbled so quickly I had to have him repeat himself several times. He seemed upset to have to be there.
The car itself was so itty bitty, it was hard to hear yourself driving.
I arranged to drop off the car at 5:00 pm on a Saturday. Apparently they closed at 3:30. No big deal, except they left no envelopes outside for after hour drop-off.
I called the 1-800 number and explained my situation; the woman on the phone seemed like she didn't want to deal with me and transferred me to "directions". The gentleman who answered could not stop reading from his script. I finally asked him if I could speak to someone who could actually help me, he said, "Sorry. I don't know what to tell you." How rude!
I left the keys and the next day called to check in and make sure everything was ok. I was cut off from speaking and was told I was charged $15 for the gas being below the full line. It was literally JUST below the full line! MAYBE a gallon worth. MAYBE!
To top it off, I watched my credit card have 4 different pending charges for $188, $141, $130, and $47.
Ridiculous. Never use them!

Pros: Being done with the whole rental experience
Cons: -Waited over an hour for the shuttle
-Counter rep couldn't have cared less about customer service
-Car was dirty, smoky and damaged
-at no point did anyone apologize about the wait or try to do something about the dirty car.
-found out I could've rented the same size car for 25% less at Budget as I was getting onto the hour-late shuttle.

Excellent service and car, but I dont like unwante
Pros: Excellent service and car.
Cons: I've paid an LSI assurance that I dont need, because I've my own assurance , and I'll tell at the reservation office tahta, but finally I find this charge at my bill.

Shuttle does not run regularly at Cape Canaveral P
Cons: We waited for almost 2 hours for a Dollar shuttle to pick us up from Cape Canaveral Port. They did not answer their counter phone. Finally, a Hertz shuttle took us to the Dollar car rental. They only had two employees running the place, so when we got there, there were over forty people waiting to get their car. We waited another hour or so to finally picked up our car and go on our way. I don't blame the employees as they were doing the best they can, but their management sucks.

One way rental from Cape Canaveral to Orlando
Cons: 1. Cape canaveral clerk could not find my reservation despite the dollar rent-a-car confirmation number given to me by kayak. He then proceeded to hand me a rental contract in somebody else's name, despite having given him my license.
2. I attempted to call Dollar customer service to get assistance, because the clerk in Cape canaveral was proving useless. The email from Kayak said that Dollar will provide customer service, and listed an 800 number. When I called the number, I got a recorded message saying they were closed in order to celebrate Presidents' day. I had zero recourse on that day.
3. The car they gave me was filthy. Stains on all seats, dessicated apple core left in the door. This car was sitting on their lot, in a slot indicating it was ready to go, but clearly it was not.
4. I had to "opt-in" to their automated toll system, but the clerk never told me and I never had the opportunity. So instead, lacking exact change, I drove from Cape Canaveral to Orlando on all back roads, which doubled my travel time.

Port Canaveral owner/clerk racist
Cons: I'm a white woman traveling with my husband and kids. There was a line of people waiting to pick up cars, many white, one Hispanic, one traditionally-dressed Muslim. All the white people got cars with no problem. The Hispanic man was refused a rental because he didn't have proof of his own personal car insurance. (I have never ban asked for proof of insurance in any of my past car rentals, and was not asked the day I was at the Port Canaveral Dollar). The Muslim woman wearing a headscarf presented her reservation papers from the travel site and was told the "reservation wasn't in the system" and he could only give her and her family a car for over $400. Her reservation- clear on her printed paperwork- was for less than $200. I'm not sure if she and her family ever got it straightened out at the airport (the only option he presented). It seemed obvious from his demeanor that he didn't want to serve these non-white customers. Dollar needs to investigate this man- if only to protect itself from discrimination lawsuits. It was shameful.

Dollar would not honor price
Cons: Dollar would not honor price and reservation from Kyak. Wanted to charge me 3x the price. Horrible. Bait and switch and nothing you can do about it.

Cons: Car was dirty outside and was missing oil cap which gave off oil smell.

Cons: Very poor customer service and the overcharged my credit card by more than 50%.
Cons: Car had an oily film which made it difficult to see out the windows without repeatedly cleaning and vehicle had been smoked in a lot. The smell of smoke irritated us both. We even tried spraying the car with a powerful hospital deodorizer, but were never able to eliminate the smoke odor.

Pros: Ease of drop off (as long as you don't want a receipt or need to talk to someone).
Cons: The gentleman at the desk was rude and unhelpful. It was crowded and he did not deal well with the customers. Very unorganized.
