To see to the smallest of guests’ needs, a Toddler Area is part of the Adventureland Inn hotel premises. Located off the East Courtyard, it is open daily from 8:30 am to 10:30 pm and invites toddlers to play in the padded play area, so that parents don’t need to worry about their child getting hurt. Touch screens feature interactive games, while a TV is also installed to watch child-appropriate content. Other features include a treasure chest, pirate ship, and a toy dolphin to play with.

Iowa Ballroom is divided in five sections, which can all be put together to host up to 300 people on over 4,000 sq ft or divided into customized spaces. Family fun is an important part of the Adventureland Inn hotel motto and there are various slides specially designed for smaller children, such as the Hampton Cars ride, Puff Dragons, Red Baron Planes, and Infant Ocean. Slides like the Frog Hopper or Convoy can also be enjoyed by smaller children, but may require an adult to tag along. There are also a few Thrill-Rides, which are more aimed at teenagers or adults due to their speed and twisting movements.

The Pool Side bar is open during the summer/spring season from 8:30 am to 10:30 pm, and from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm during the fall/winter season. Apart from various adult beverages, the bar also features a wide range of drinks suitable for children, like fruity Kiddie Cocktails and Snow Cones. The Pool Bar is located in the East Courtyard on the hotel premises.

There are two almost equidistant routes from Des Moines Airport guests can take when coming by car. The US-65 North takes you to the destination in about 30m and you should take exit 142 to continue to Hubbell Avenue.
