It is very clean and quiet
It is a walk from the bus terminal but it is what it is. Still worth the walk for the price. Others are more expensive
Nothing. Do not stay here.
Disgusting that under lockdown they refused a refund even though they were not allowed tourists to stay. I have reported their horrific behaviour to the Irish trade watchdog, booking.com & requested a bank recharge. Ridiculous to even offer us a change of date only if we pay the extra price difference and only for this year, even though they legally could not have guests stay on the dates we booked and could not meet their contractual obligation to us under lockdown. Worst customer service experience of my entire life. Do not trust them with your money - they will just take it from you and run, without any consideration for the basics of having to honour the agreed dates or offer an acceptable resolution to each customer. Feels like profiteering in a crisis to be honest & we are beyond devastated by the stress they have caused throughout our interactions with them.
The electrical socket wasn't working so when I woke up to leave for my flight nothing was charged. They were apologetic and very nice but it was a total annoyance as I had a long haul flight to take.
Nice facility, manageable location but for a particular type of travel
The facilities are modern and relatively clean. Rooms are well maintained and mattresses are pretty comfortable. The bar area is nice and live music is a plus. Building and rooms are also secure. Swipe cards are required to go anywhere and there’s security at the door.
Upon arrival, the staff was more concerned with being cool than with being courteous. Morning staff was much better. What rubbed me the wrong way about this place is that they fail to provide any kind of secure storage for even the smallest of items. There are lock boxes under the beds, but require you bring your own padlock or pay a ridiculous amount of money to use the luggage storage in the basement. Plan ahead or snuggle your valuables. Also, no outside food is allowed. Strange for a hostel. The reason given is that plenty of food is available on site for purchase. Most things on the menu were expensive for a backpacker. The restaurants and supermarket across the way are the best options. Also, the provided shower gel dispenser is always empty and make sure you double check the toilet paper before you sit down. This place clearly has its eye on being trendy to attract the young, party crowd. It’s nothing similar to what backpackers are used to from every other hostel on the planet and fails to provide the community experience and chance to meet new people that solo travelers look for. Considering the price isn’t even on the lower end, there are better places in Dublin.
Location and atmosphere were fun.
I can’t say too much here since it IS a hostel, but the walls and doors are very thin and you can hear the loud, drunk patrons coming in all night. It made for a good daytime nap, but not the best nights sleep.
