Pros: Clean, comfortable rooms, nice bathrooms. Liked that Houlihans was right there.
Cons: Thought the price of the continental breakfast was too high. Also, we had snow while we were visiting and there needed to be bigger mats by the door. It was really wet and slippery and no way staff could keep up with mopping.

7.0 Good
Pros: EVERYTHING WAS GOOD IN THE ROOM
Cons: 1- WHEN I BOOKED THE 2 ROOMS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE IN THE SAME FLOOR , I ASKED FOR THAT BUT THE RECEPTION REFUSED , SO WE ENDED UP SEPARATED IN 2 FLOORS. 2- WHEN WE WENT TO EAT AT THE HOTEL RESTAURANT THEY DID NOT ALLOW US BECAUSE OF RESERVATIONS, BUT THEN WE WERE GUESTS AT THE HOTEL THE PRIORITY SHOULD BE FOR THE GUESTS . 3- ALSO WHEN WE CALLED ROOM SERVICE TO ORDER FOOD NO ONE ANSWER
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We like the historic feel of the renovated hotel and its downtown location; and the fact that the comforter had nice weight and warmth in the winter. We also liked the room size, aveda products , having a large refrigerator, free parking, free coffee on the lobby, and free newspaper. We especially liked how easy it was to walk to restaurants or night life from the hotel.
Cons: The beds were a little hard. Some walls and furnishings need minor refreshing like fresh paint/carpet soon or minor updates.Would have liked newer feeling sheets / and comforter cover. I didn’t like that there wasn’t any good-sized safe in the room. The restaurant Caroline’s didn’t have good eggs. The fitness center was in an isolated basement area with no working internet and felt a little scary to be by yourself early morning. The price differed between nights and it didn’t show the higher price for one of the nights clearly when booking.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Pillows were terrible. Super hard. Parking
7.0 Good
Cons: I tried to telephone day of arrival to get early check in and was routed to "hold" which repeated the same announcements over and over and no one picked up until I directed the call to marketing. They were unable to reach the front desk and told me that they would have to phone me back.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Just spent a couple of nights here. From the moment we walked in there was delicious pumpkin-cream cheese bread waiting for us! The staff was very helpful and the house and rooms were so cute, it felt like we were living in a different time. The breakfast was ab-so-lu-tely delicious, with a nice homemade taste to it. There's a nice selection of movies to watch if you feel like spending some lazy time inside the room and you can always get popcorn, tea, or coffee by the kitchen. Our room had a fireplace and we did no hesitate to use it after a long chilly walk outside! Galena is just about 20 to 25 minutes away so you can go there without issues. Would definitely stay here again!
Cons: Our bathtub was great for taking baths , but showering was a little tricky.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property was historical, beautifully furnished. Colorful and joyful lights specific to the house’s period. The environment was warm and cozy. Michelle and her husband prepared us a good breakfast and hung out with us, while telling us the story of the place. Great people and great attention to details. The baked goods around the house and for breakfast were amazing, and they specifically made blueberry muffins with no gluten or dairy for us! The bed was comfortable.

Pros: This inn is great. Robert-the owner-takes care to make sure you feel welcome...even carried our luggage to our room. The breakfast exceeded our expectations...food was wonderful....everything was neat and clean.
Cons: Walllpaper was loose in a couple places
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Robert was very accommodating and friendly. He is very passionate about the history of the Inn and Dubuque. The house is so beautiful and it is obvious they work hard to ensure the house remains as period as possible.
Cons: There is nothing you can dislike about this beautiful home. From the moment you walk in, you feel that you are stepping back into the 1800s
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about this stay. Robert our host did an amazing job! Great Breakfast. Even though we were the only checked in guests prior to a fully booked valentines day weekend he took the extra time to explain the complete history associated with home.
Cons: For us everything was great. All our expectations were met. Great attention to detail. For people who like the Victorian era this place covered all the bases. Based upon the furnishings and attention to the correctness of all the time period it was a great experience for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotels proximity to everything is fantastic. We were able to walk everywhere. The bed was very comfortable and the provided breakfast was very good. This is a great place to stay if you are looking for something a little different with some history.
Cons: We stayed over a weekend, so parking was not an issue. There's a large public lot next to the hotel that is free during the weekends. However, if you stay during the week, parking may be an issue. You would likely have to feed meters constantly to park close to the hotel. It has, likely original, single paned windows. We were woken up by garbage collections Saturday morning ~5am. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room, but if you do, noise may be a concern.

Pros: Beautiful old building, old world Comfort, great location for downtown Dubuque, quiet
Cons: The owner was quirky to the point of being bossy, argued about the air conditioning when I though the room too cold, wrestled my suitcase out of my hand when I wanted to carry it myself twice, was weird at breakfast when guests approached the buffet table before being served with the hot portion of their breakfast, barked "you don't get it" at us, served different hot breakfast portion to different people but offered no choice, there were no decaf pods for the keurig i provided my own but 25 mins later there was no sign of my coffee.

Cons: Queen beds
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Night staff was super nice and checked us in very quickly. HOT breakfast was very good. Room was very clean.
7.5 Good
Cons: Noisy kids in the hallway very late.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Very friendly staff.
Cons: Felt small and cramped in public spaces, the deck of the pool was flooded so you had to walk through freezing water backed up. There were a lot of bugs in our light fixtures and old linens and debris behind our TV stand which we found when the remote fell
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great refreshed property. Location was easy to find on a major road for easy in and out.
Cons: Nothing stood out.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy access and great breakfast. Nice hotel for the money
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Air conditioning unit rattled all night.....full hotel so couldn’t switch rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable room, nice breakfast!
7.0 Good
Pros: I loved the location of the hotel. It was close to shopping, restaurants, and the Five Flags Center was less than 10 minutes away. I had requested rooms close by and they did an excellent job fulfilling that request!
Cons: I think the breakfast would have been fine, but when I went down there many things were not restocked and no one seemed to be available to manage that area or ask questions. There were no napkins so i just had to look through the drawers until I found some to put out. I also had a hard time getting the key to open my room as the card would stick so maybe that can be updated!
6.3 Good
Pros: The workers were helpful and really nice. The lobby looked really good. Never disturbed in the room.
Cons: The bathroom was very dirty, there were stains underneath the toilet seat, and the shower had hair all over the edges and some yellow stuff. There were light stains on the bed covers.
6.3 Good
Pros: I liked the breakfast. A very nice variety, staff in the dining room are very helpful, kind, and pleasant. Your staff is excellent, and efficient.
Cons: There were no cookies this time. Need better lighting in the rooms(I've stayed in many), and better lighting in bathrooms. When 2 people reserve a room, they should get a bathroom that has 2 sinks.bove. Also, neither of our keys worked. Seems these should be checked before giving a key to guests.

6.0 Good
Pros: Hotel appeared to be fairly new with modern decor. Hotel was close to shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was included.
Cons: Alarm clocks in rooms without guests were going off for hours continuously. Red truck pulled up in parking lot at 4 am blaring music which woke everyone up. Didn't see hotel staff deal with the situation as truck was there for several minutes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was great. Though we had to go through a couple of rooms before we arrived at one that worked the staff was wonderful. Our booking was not in their computers when we arrived so there was some confusion about that, but that was not their fault.
Cons: I would have liked to have bananas for breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable Excellent breakfast.

7.0 Good
Pros: Loved that this was easy to get to and close to the river museum.
Cons: Staff was not overly friendly. First impression was staff disagreement in front of me about whether the key cards are affected by electronics or not. Arcade game card didn’t work for a prize and staff just said I need to be patient and there was $0 credits, which was not accurate.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Didn't realize the waterpark wasn't included in the booking. Also had issues with our heating and AC unit.. It was either really hot or really cold.. Couldn't control the temperature.
7.0 Good
Pros: It was a nice facility. The beds were very comfortable.
Cons: The elevator is very small and there were only two for the entire hotel. There were not stairs by the elevator accessible to the public you had to go to either end of a hallway and the didn’t let you exit to every floor.
3.7 Mediocre
Cons: The staff was extremely rude, which was also brought to the aquarium and museum where 2 of Grand Harbors employees work. They were 2 of the main employees at grand harbor that treated me, my husband, and our 3 little ones absolutely horrible. Was not told the water park would be closed 2 of the 4 days we stayed.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The variety for a continental breakfast was good.
Cons: The breakfast area was not big enough for the volume of people using it. The lines to get food were at least a 20-30 minute wait. Could the different areas be broken up? Waffles were separated but the toast/cereal/juice/eggs were all in a single line and you couldn't just get juice without waiting in a huge line.
6.0 Good
Pros: The room was clean.
Cons: Arrived for breakfast about a half hour before it closed and mostly every thing was gone. Settled for a bagel and yogurt. We asked if the server was going to replenish the buffet and she stated no. Several people went without breakfast.
6.0 Good
Pros: When I called earlier in the week the staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
Cons: Arrived at 3pm and were able to pre register. Was told check-in started at 4 and would get a call when the room was ready. Met with family and ate a small meal. Finally received a call at 5 that the room was ready. Not what we expected after 4hr car ride.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location,location,location!
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Restaurant service was awesome, staff was rude
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast ho-hum, better than some. restaurant attached. location
Cons: cold shower. lack of plugins near bed. a comfortable chair would be nice for someplace to sit besides the bed. A desk chair for 2 or more people doesn't cut it. Breakfast VERY busy...couldn't find a clean table. Ran out of some things. Long lines. Coffee should be in its own location.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds were very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking for guests of the hotel.
Cons: Waterpark passes were not included with the room cost. The vent on the hair dryer in our bathroom was full of dust and hair. There was a rag on the vanity in the bathroom. There was some trash on the floor that didn't get fully vacuumed. Our room was advertised as 2 queens but they were full size.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Crowded facility. Not enough tables. Food was typical.
Cons: Had to wait two hours (!) past the check in time for our rooms!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Right off the highway, easy access. Comfortable beds.
Cons: N/A
4.0 Okay
Cons: I paid $190 for one room with no fridge or microwave. No pool on sight and when I showed the lady at the desk my veteran ID she did not offer my 20% off. She lied and said I had the lowest price when I was seeing there rooms being offered for $80 on the website. I wasn't feeling well so I went straight to my room.
1.0 Poor
Cons: We stayed for 3 nights and the room was never cleaned. We never had fresh towels and at breakfast the milk was curdled. The staff was less than helpful.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Was close to our event.
Cons: The room did not seem vacuumed as I found a dime on the floor and also found a rock next to the refrigerator, the permanently installed bathmat in the tub had black mold all around it. The table had a hole in it and the desk chair was very stained didn’t want to go near it. The laundry facility was directly across from my room,They might want to think about keeping the door closed at all times. The occupants above our room or either moving furniture all night or painting, what else could explain the cats and shuffling around between 1 and 6 AM.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: You had a nice comfortable king-size bed, I'm a big guy so I really appreciate that

Pros: It was nice, overall. The staff was nice and our room seemed clean. Having the choice of breakfast was nice, but...
Cons: The breakfast left a lot to be desired. It was cold and we were down there 8 minutes after it started. It was actually hard to eat.
