excellent value for money bar food very good maybe portions were a liittle too big. we were in a room to the front think back room would be quieter but not complaining i enjoyed it
My spacious room
Very centrally located
location, comfort, price
Staff was accommodating. Breakfast good. Room was a good deal. There is no parking. paid more to park than to eat all week.
Comfortable, clean and close to the town centre Little bit of noise from the club below and the customers sitting outside drinking. A net curtain would have been helpful - people sitting on the top deck of double decker buses could see straight into the room! We had to keep the curtains closed most of the time.
the breakfast, beds were big clean and comfortable security really poor, we were allocated a room which was already occupied, staff thought this was quite funny, rooms were smoky and there were cigarette butts piled up on windowledges, fittings in bathroms were hanging off walls, room did not look anything like picture on website, after we complained staff became less helpful
The comfort of the hotel and the kindness and helpfulness of its staff Everything was ok
the hotel staaff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Both the bedroom and bathroom were very clean. It was very quiet the night we stayed there (a Thursday) and we were not disturbed by any other guests or traffic noise at all. The breakfast was great, but unfortunately too big for us to clear the plates! Good, too, that there was a lift for us older visitors to get luggage up to our room without having to drag them up the stairs.
The room provided tea and coffee making facilities - although we had to ask for a new kettle as the lead on the original one in the room was heating up instead of the kettle! The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable and the bedside lamp shades were being held on by masking tape. The window was old and let in a draft so heating had to be turned up to the full.Having to ring a doorbell to be let in at night was also slightly frustrating.
Very comfortable beds, basic accommodation but good value for money and close to the shops. Quite a walk to Temple Bar Room very basic, bathroom very small and sink was outside in the main room, quite noisy outside
Friendly staff, warm rooms on a very cold weekend, very clean excellent value for money and a reasonably central location.
location is good not far to town center . Friendly bath room is really small
That all four of us could share a room, have individual beds, and be comfortable. It was same price as a hostel, but far better. Great deal! The bathroom was tiny, but it was no problem at all.
Staff very helpful over parking, plenty of info material available, good breakfasts, surprisingly quiet (both internal & external noise) Felt a little run-down - eg fittings with no bulb in or damaged bulb. Would have preferred not to have to ring every time to get in the building.
the location was brilliant and all the staff were excellent and very helpful the decor could do with updating and the bathroom and shower needs maintainance and repair
The staff were very friendly and efficient and the room was comfortable though quite small. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Lots of tourist and city information available. The en suite shower room did the job, but was decidedly minimal on space - barely room to turn round in the shower (and I'm not over weight).
very nice, very friendly staff, comfortable
The Clifden Guest house was clean and adequate . first impressions would be greatly improved if rooms had matching bedding instead of a mismatch of colours causing you to be disapointed at first opening of room door , the hallways are very nicely carpetted then open your room door and instantly feel let down .
The location was pretty good. The room was clean. The entrance and lobby were dirty and dated. The staff didn't seem to care at all.
The pillows! The bed was very comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. Whilst the hotel is very nice, I think that it is over-priced.
I liked the general quietness and the sense of privacy in the hotel. I also liked the staff who were very helpful and welcoming.
The Conrad was in a great location, close to the city. The room was spotless and the staff helpful and friendly. It wa saa bonus on the day of check-out that we could leave the car as long as we liked for no extra charge - ideal for that last bit of shopping. We'll definitely return and would recommend the Conrad to anyone wanting to be close to the city.
cosy room, good location and helpfull staff beverage and food costs
Great location...we walked everywhere. Restaurant was expensive and not great, plus breakfast was not included. Comfortable, clean rooms. The restaurant was expensive. Breakfast was not included in the room rate.
The hotel was perfect for a short city break as it is so central. The breakfast is spectacular and the staff were so friendly. The beds in the rooms are some of the best ever as they are so comfy and have beautiful white linen on them.
The staff were friendly and most helpful. The hotel was quiet, and it took me just a few minutes to reach a lovely Park, and St Stephen's Green. Also, the food was delicious.
the bed very poor selection of food, service had drop from my last stay
Staff and location House keeping was poor. Mini bar was not restocked. I had a shower before going out for the evening, the towles were not changed. Never experienced that in any other hotel .
location internet speed staff expensive
Great hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful, polite, and engaging. I particularly liked how they helped direct us around Dublin to the places we wanted to visit. Excellent service! Nothing!
Even though this is a large hotel, it has a very homey, warm feeling that is truly wonderful. The staff are very helpful. It was also a great help to have a computer for guests to use in the lounge. The hotel offers immediate access to the post office, bank, and shops. No.
Great location for matches at the Aviva Stadium. Car parking at rear is excellent. Easy directions to get from Cork road.
nothing, felt very uncomfortable the room was frezzing and dirtymy wife got sick from the breakfast, staff were helpfull thats the only positive about this hotel,
Staff were very friendly and helpful.Layout of the hotel was quaint and finding different areas was an adventure !!
the location very handy for the dublin marathron the room very cold and not enought hot water for the bath. plus was told beakfast was at 7 but they didn't let me know that on bank hol mondays it's start at 8. so all i could get was bowl of cornfalkes before the marathron
It was a pleasant stay, made nicer by the staff.
The staff were very helpful, nice rooms and great breakfast. Hotel bar had great vatmosphere. Enjoyable staff. Would recommend to friends. N/A
very comfortable hotel and top class breakfast television did not work in room had to contact recption, having said that he sorted it out immediately. but funny next day the t.v. did not work after 10.30am.
The receptionist was very friendly on arrival. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good. We required directions in the morning and the receptionist was more than helpful. Great location as it is so central to the city.
The waiting staff were fab! Rooms were clean, tidy and quite nice. The reception staff were a bit unhelpful and understanding. 'Hilton Dublin Airport' suggests it will be close to the airport.
Easy to get to, made feel very welcome. Rooms lovely and very good value
The staff were helpful. There shuttle service from the hotel and to a beach area was not timely, except when we were to be picked up at 11:15pm at the beach, I was 5 minutes late and was left generating a large cab fee, the rest of the time the shuttle required long waits and almost cause us to miss our out flight. The phone did not work well and no one seemed to know how to fix. I did not receive a wake up call the one time I asked. The sheets were not changed daily with no notice or option to get them changed. One day there were no towles or shampoo available until I called which took nine trys on the telephone while I was dripping wet.
Very close to airport, almost no traffic 3.50 for a coke was steep!
Relaxing atmosphere and first class service
the hotel was very clean, easy to get around and the bar staff were friendly. i liked it. the food at the bar was so bad it would put me off staying again
Met some cool people downstairs at the live music It's 6 km from the airport, they charge for the shuttle, and the WiFi is €5/day. Gonna avoid most Hilton from now on as a result of their nickel and diming practices
The efficiency of the staff
Nice and clean hotel.Good location for Airport,Shopping,Ikea.Stay here regularly for work reasons.Im sure I will stay again.would recommend hotel.
Clean and tidy. Comfortable bed.
Staff was friendly and very helpful, the facility was like new and modern.
We stayed here when we landed in Dublin and right before we left. We found the staff to be very helpful and the rooms were definitely big enough for four people. One of the bigger rooms we stayed in while in Ireland. Definitely a great place to stay when coming in and out of Dublin.
Excellent Rooms , quiet location, easy 15 minute walk to Grafton St and Temple Bar areas
Good value for money compared to other comparable options. Breakfaft included in the rate and also very good.
Great staff - all very helpful. Amy and Patrick were awesome! All was good
Accomodatioln of a verygood standard and in a very good location for the centre of town. A very nice, tastefully decorated hotel. A bit mean with supply of tea, coffee, biscuits, etc.
My 3 year old son loved the trams! It let us sleep for an extra hour in the morning while he watched the trams out our corner window. It was not noisy either, so that was great! Close enough to the city, but quiet. We liked it a lot!
Nice hotel close to the city with good comfort at a reasonable price
Exellent Rooms. Love the lifts. Breakfast Super. Staff very helpful. Location next to trams brilliant. Nice touch with the wine and water in room and fruit next to lift. Nothing to say loved Hotel
very central to town, very comfortable, nice breakfast and late breakfast until 12 is great. check in at 3pm slightly late, having to pay for overnight parking
The location was excellent in relation to the city centre
We really enjoyed our recent stay as it was very close to the city and as we were up for the rugby beside the Aviva stadium and bars etc n/a
I like this Hotel and stay there often.
The central location of the hotel and car parking facilities and friendliness of the staff Slight confusement getting from the carpark into the hotel
central location poor dining in facilities
central location; beautiful hotel the service in the hotel bar/cafe was very slow, I had to ask 2 different members of staff and both said they couldn't serve me, on locating the appropriate member of staff she was slightly unpleasant and when served the food ordered came sporadically and not all at once
Convenient locatoin and overall appearance of the hotel/room. Small room but manageable.
The front desk staff were very efficient and friendly all during our stay, from check-in, having a 4 pm tea with a group of 12, and at check-out. The staff in the bar were outstanding in their cooperation to assist in setting aside and preparing a place for our afternoon group tea. Wonderful Irish friendliness.
Quiet and good location gym was very minimal, staff not overly attentive
Decor and quality of room. Main reception was a bit officious when we first arrived. We had been delayed due to weather problems and I didnt think we got sufficient attention due to the fact it was late evening.
The location of the hotel was perfect. Within walking distance to all central attractions in Dublin. The worst thing was on entering and leaving via the front enterance there was an awful smell of smoke and several people stood on the front steps smoking. Off putting.
Location was good. Bar & Restaurant were all very good although expensive - where isn't in Dublin?! Bed, although double, was a bit small and uncomfortable. Air conditioning in room did not work properly (room was freezing though we did not complain) as did guest services on the TV for one whole day so it was hard to find any information as that was where the hotel directory is.
Breakfast was a pantomime, maybe it was a particularly bad day but it definitely has deterred us from booking again. There was a queue to sit down for 10 mins, then we had to ask for the table to be cleared & wiped. The waitress was huffing & puffing & extremely rude. We then had to ask for knives & this in turn seemed to annoy her & she snapped at my friend. We are in our mid thirties & have travelled a lot & were very surprised & disappointed at this. Reception staff were friendly & helpful but the restaurant staff were awful. It wasn't just our table though as everyone around us was asking for something or other & everyone has either bemused or angry expressions. Very bad service. breakfast staff & service
Location on Stepens Green - proximity to bars, restaurants and shops etc Decor - could do with some updating
Nice, friendly place Climate control (too warm in rooms)
I order 2 no-smoking room, but in my room, someone had have a big cigar before me. I was asked to move to another room, but have to say no, because I want to have my old father at the same floor.
It was clean and comfortable and staff were great The breakfast was ? but for the location and price it was ok, I suppose.
The experience overall was great. Exactly what I wanted: great location, clean and good value. That is exactly what I found here. I would recommend and stay there again! The room was extremely small and the TV was dated but that being said I wasn't in Dublin to stay in my room. Therefore, it worked for me perfectly. One thing to take note is that the walls are very thin, I had to block my ears during the night since I could hear the noise from the street and the hotel neighbours when they came in.
The location in the centre of Dublin; shops, bars and restaurants, all in walking distance. The location in the centre of Dublin; the street side is quite noisy during the night and sleeping with open window is not possible.
Stellar location and very friendly staff. Excellent value. Nothing fancy, but nice and comfortable accommodation in the heart of the city.
The location, staff and facilities were amazing. Booked via kayak and got a great deal for this place
We stayed 2 night during the snow in late November. The room was wonderfully warm, cosy and welcoming. The staff were very pleasant and helpfull. The location was great, idealy situated on the beautiful St. Stephens Green and so close to shops, restuarents and public transport. The convenience of having secure parking meant no worries or messing about with meters or tickets. Breakfast was pretty good too. Our room was 2nd floor at the front and was really every bit as noisy as previous reviews had said. The windows are old and not double glazed and this simple measure would make all the dfference. We discovered the working shutters on our second night and they helped.
Friendly staff, Nice area of dublin, very nice room Breakfast was a bit small and although our room was lovely it was at the front and a bit noisy
Location The curtains were filthy and I could hardly bear to touch them
Staff went above and beyond to be helpful. N/a
We were staying 2 nights in Dublin and it was perfect. Good location, modern and I liked the big room. I didn't like the room's decoration in purples but it is my opinion. And I didn't like also the light in the room, it was poor.
Great Location. Extremely Friendly and helpful staff. Clean.
The room was clean and had all I needed. I liked having the facility to make tea and coffee in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Location, room size. I would stay again, now I know how to find the place. We travelled by car and found it almost impossible to find the entrance. By foot it would have been easy. We were given very many wrong directions. No AC
Basic Hotel, would not deem it luxury
The room was excellent.
no critical remarks, indeed
The room service staff very really nice and friendly and efficient. The bathroom was not particularly clean upon arrival. Also, the reception staff were not very motivated or friendly.
Hotel was comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful at all times resolving a few difficulties I encountered. The bathroom fan came on continuosly during the night. I was transfered to another bedroom and hotel discounted bill by 40%.

General athnosphere, good location. friendly staff Additional cost of breakfast. Breakfast not included in booking price. Breakfast was an additional Eur20.00 per person
its location and the friendly staff also the breakfast buffet was excellent the bedrooms were very hot with no way of controling temperature
Excellent, efficient and very friendly staff. Large, clean and nicely furnished room with lovely view from large window. Very enjoyable and varied breakfast served by pleasant staff. Very secure car parking facilities. Ideal location for my requirements (Royal Hospital Kilmainham and Irish Museum of Modern Art). The location was ideal for my requirements but might be a bit far out of the City centre for some visitors.
location, rate and ease of access with ample parking the pool was not open during our stay
The Rooms where nice and spaceous and clean The staff where unfriendly and very unhelpful. Ours rooms where not ready for check in when we arrived at 4.30pm we had to share one room between 6 until we got the second one at 5.30pm and the 3rd at 6.15pm. Also parking is €10 a night not stated anywere in hotel. Overall experience of hotel was poor. Would never stay in it again!!
The room had clearly been used by a smoker prior to our arrival and the smell was really bad. It had actually penetrated the duvet .
Room over lokking the old jail was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was good quality Just a little out of centre..12 Euro taxi...perhaps would choose one closer to centre next time
The hotel itself was very well presented, clean and the staff couldn't have done more to help you. Rooms were big with huge beds and very comfortable and warm. Restaurant was nice, and food was good. We usually use public transport to get around and the hotel was a 10 main walk from luas (tram) stops and bus stops, although not far this added up over multiple trips. Would be much easier if moving around by hotel or your own car. The swimming pool is free but you must purchase a €2 cap and a €8 padlock which seems a bit tight. Not much in the surrounding area, and little choice of alternatives for food other than a trip back to the city centre.
The food, bar and dinning area. Hotel staff, polite and receptive. Bathroom dirty, hairs in sink. Wet room floor drained the wrong way and ended up standing in puddles of water. Check out took to long and seemed dis-organised.
No sky sports in room
Extremely friendly staff who went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Breakfast delivered to room was top quality and still really hot . Room was spacious and comfortable. The first taxi we got to city centre, driven by a pure dub, took us on a roundabout trip and overcharged us and then had the neck to warn us about foreign drivers who would try to rip us off.
Lovely hotel and staff were very helpful. Room was also very clean and spacious. Menu in bar was very limited
location cost of extras
Location is central intially one of the beds was broken so we had to switch rooms
Old style designing, large and spacious, clean if a bit tired, beds were very comfortable staff was helpful
The twin room we were given was spacious and faced a calm street so that we were not bothered by the traffic going through Talbot St or by the DART trains going into Connolly Station. The bathroom was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There were free newspapers every morning and coffee-making facilities in the room. The location is very convenient, close to Busarás and Connolly Station, and a good walker can get to Temple Bar and Grafton St in 10 minutes. The Irish breakfast they offer is rather substantial and comprehensive, but we thought it was a pity that apart from cereals nothing was offered that even hinted in the direction of a continental breakfast, no yoghurt, no fresh fruit, honey, sliced cheese or ham. But we have to admit that the Irish breakfast got us through the whole day.
on saturday night we could not get a drink from the bar when we asked for one. early night in dublin' bar shuts at 12.30. first for me in a hotel.
Good hotel in good location 5 mins from centre, easy to find. Nice internal. good value breakfast in the price.
The staff was tremendous. They went out of their way to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. Top quality B and B! Everything was perfect!
The breakfast was excellent, large choice, served by waiters and not buffet, anything you wanted to eat was there and it was delicious! The staff was very helpful and pleasant, we arrived at midnight and the receptionist came to open us asking how we were doing and offering a drink and giving tips on what to do the next day. The room hotel was nice but I was expecting something newer or more modern, small details that could be fixed.
Location. Personable staff. Breakfast meal was excellent. No complaints.
The location was very central and the hotel and its staff were to a high standard.
Staff very kind and ready to help. Near city centre. Comfortable bed. Good irish breakfast The room should be refurbished: carpet worn, on the wall patches of carpet. Armchair not so clean.
room and breakfast were very good ,great value for money
The staff were more than helpful. Everywhere was very clean. The breakfast was exulant. And we only had economy There was shower in room but no toilet. We should have checked this as had to go out and up some stairs to toilet and im not very good on stairs.
Our room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is very conveniently located in a nice part of Dublin in easy access, both by foot and by public transportation to all of Dublin. The staff was incredible. Their hospitality, professionalism and willingness to give assistance was without comparison. We stayed at Kilronan House for 6 days and the staff, at every level, was wonderful and cheerfulthroughout our visit. Breakfast was delicious, wonderfully presented and served. The breakfast room, is pleasant and elegant. We chose the Kilronan for a combination of reasons: location, style, and rate. All were important to us and all were satisfied.
Helpfull staff, amazing room, accurate directions and the best breakfast I have ever experienced :) A later booking out time , Please???/
service plus great hotel with good bar. club and restaurant.
Nice sea view, nearby bus stop to Airport and Dublin City Center. I stayed in the new wing: nice huge bed, good shower, and two seats. Not much room, but enough. Liked the pub downstairs, you could easily get a drink. Did not had any sound-problems here, maybe because I was here on a weekday. Staff was helpful. A little bit chaotic when a change occurred, but everything worked out fine. Breakfast was terrible. On weekdays it should start at 7, but the guests had to pull the cook out of his kitchen at 7.15 when nothing was ready. Poor breakfast quality. Restaurant was still dirty from the evening before. Definitely not worth the price.
i enjoyed the night we had it was a party i was at i thought my time there was good but the hotel was very basic not much for children to do but it suited my needs at the time
The description did not specify that next door to the Hotel there is a Night Club.Despite being accomodated in the farest wing from it we had to listen until 3am in the morning to very loud music and could not sleep. When reception had been contacted around 2am the manager (Arthur) advised that the music would stop at 3 and that the only satisfaction we could get was to discuss room fees
Friendly receptionist Buffet breakfast on Sunday
Position and view. Size of room. helpfulness of staff.
staff friendly, view superb, room comfy, tea and coffee in the room and a table rto sit at. Breakfast very nice . Door to our room was open on return from an all day excursion - no idea how long it had been left. Toilet was too close to theated towel rail - had to sit sideways! room way too hot in the evening and very cold first morning - water was cold in the shower that morning too! second morning was fine.
the room was fantastic! no
The convenience of public transport into Dublin and being close to the beach nothing in particular
Was attending a wedding in a nearby hotel so location was ideal. Lovely to walk out the next morning and enjoy the sea view and a walk on the beach. Ordered a sandwich in the bar after check-in. Service was very slow. Even when we paid it took about 10 minutes to get our change. Bar was quiet so didn't see any obvious reason for this.
how handy it was to everywhere
The location was fantastic - just where we wanted to be. The room was really nicley decorated considering the price, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends. The bathroom was a bit drab but shower was really powerful which was great
Location to the city and Temple Bar area. Room was quite small, carpets dirty, cold draft through the small window and quite crampt. Notwithstanding this, the value was ok considering the location.
Nice view (4th floor) - would have been noisy on 1st floor
its location it was very over priced.
The situation of the hotel Some memebers of staff and problems in room (broken window, broken safe)
The location was perfect! Even though you are right in the middle of Temple Bar, we could not here a lot of noise, and our room was on the Liffey. Great view of the river. Very convenient location, short walks to Guinness brewery, St Stephens Greens, Grafton Street and GPO. Staff are very helpful and friendly. We arrived very early, but they rushed to get our room ready. They had it ready by the time we finished a coffee in their restaurant.
The location right in the heart of the city Breakfast could have been better
Too much noise from road and pubs at turning out time.We stayed in a 1st floor room and the only fresh air came from the air conditioning, it was not possible to open the windows
Location, nice room.
The staff were very helpful, I was able to leave my bag with them early in the day even though my room wasnt available. I couldnt get the hairdryer to work in my room
The hotel was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only problem was that the room was a bit dusty and for it to sleep 3 people the needs to be more towels and tea items to facilitate as we had to contact reception. N/A
Very comfortable beds, and climate control. Warm, obliging staff who responded quickly to all requests. Good parking, free internet access, very good breakfast and easy access to public transport with quite a few bus routes. Room service was prompt and very good. Could not find a bad point to say about this hotel
Able to accommodate early check in request, friendly staff Tv didn't work, took 3 attempts to resolve lounge facilities were able to be booked by non-residents meaning it was very difficult to find a suitable table or seat. I was informed by the hotel that they never booked more than 50% of the sofas, this was not the case as one stage all had reserved signs on them
Breakfast Evening meal was inedible, room was run down, staff were rude
Grand setting with fantastic gardens. The rooms smelt of smoke, even though I had a no smoking room. Which had recent cigarette burns to the curtains. Bathroom not quite up to standard (the shower was designed for short people, not even shorter!)
The welcome and the comfortable surroundings, the nice breakfast and the helpful staff. I noticed that the window in my room was very draughty - it was a windy night and there was a definite breeze blowing in. I imagine you would save money on your heating costs if you addressed it - room 207.
Convenient to Dublin and the accomodations were very nice for the money.
I liked the actual building and relaxing bar areas I didn't think it was five star standard
Had lovely food and wine in bar! Staff very friendly! We asked for 3 separate beds but I had to sleep on a roll in which would fit. Child and the mattress was poor quality!
The hotel was lovely and the staff were really friendly. Would love to stay again. We arrived late around 9 so the restaurant was fully book which was fine as the girl at receiption told us that the bar were serving a substancial menu, we were delight as we were straving but when we went to the bar all they were serving soup and salads had we know this we would have got room service as it had such a variety.
The room was by most standards extremely quiet, and the gardens provide a splendid setting.
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, lovely accomodations, comfortable rooms The accomodations were excellent.
Fantastic customer service. Very friendly and welcoming staff. N/A
Clean relaxed hotel with a very nice decor.
Very friendly and helpful staff; Very good breakfast; Very high standard of cleanliness; Hotel has character; Close to railway station Bed pillows were too firm.
Very warm reception from owner, with helpful tips on travel, restaurants etc.. Ideal for travel to centre of town.Very pleasant large rooms.
Staff delightfully friendly, helpful, and efficient. Hotel located in very attractive suburb, with easy access to city.
staff very friendly
Lovely breakfast, super comfortable bed, very pleasant and friendly staff. Decor very nice. Tea and biscuits on arrival was great. no bar facilities.
Staff were very friendly and courteous. The food was excellent and plentifull.
It is a lovely house with lots of charm. Breakfast was outstanding as it was the warmth of the staff. I recommend amply.
really big, comfortable and light room with huge bed and very spacious bathroom; good location; very friendly staff :) the floor in the bathroom was rather cold
I liked the room in which we spent three of our four nights stay. The room in which we spent our first night was totally unacceptable.
breakfast the room had no heating and was very cold, at reception nobody told us to ask for switch on heating in the room
staff were very friendly, it was convenient for the centre of Dublin. breakfast was poor, only one towel and pillow per person. only sky news on the television
Close to the centre, good quality breakfast Made to pay before recieving the key to the room even though i had secured it with a credit card. Only then did we realise we were not in the room we had booked. We were charged the same regardless. My girlfriend arrived before me and was not allowed into the room until she paid. I had booked it and was going to pay. So at 11pm she had the option of sitting on the street or having to pay herself. No tea making facilities, plug for the sink, stains on the floor and no heating until i asked at reception 3 times.
