Never got the car, Kayaks terms and conditions stated I’d be charged extra if under the age of 25, Europcar policy is you are charged extra if under the age of 26. I ended up cancelling the rental order as Europcar were wanting to charge me double what I was quoted on kayak. Both should do a better job at ensuring their policies are aligned.Reviewed 7 Oct 2024

The car was OK, nothing special but economical and served its purpose. Though the rear window was covered in some horrible semi-opaque film that made it almost impossible to see anything in the rear view mirror. Pickup was more or less fine except for one major concern. I specified in my search for a car that I wanted it until 7am on Saturday 5th for a 9:30 flight. I was therefore horrified to find, when I picked it up, that the office didn't open until 8:30 am and that there was no keydrop facility and that returning a car outside of office ours would incur surcharges. Why on earth did Kayak and Europcar offer me this car under those circumstances? Because of that, I had to return the car on Friday evening, waste 3 hours of my time and incur the cost of a taxi back to my hotel and again back to the airport on Saturday morning. Everyone was friendly. It was easy pick up and drop off. It was the second car rental in Germany within two weeks and my other experience with National was NOT good. I will definitely use Europcar again. A consideration would be to have more clarity about insurance. I bought coverage through Expedia, plus I had an additional 75k with my credit card company and I was feeling nervous about that coverage when I really don’t believe I should have. TERRIBLE, I arrived to pick-up the car rental and they told me that it was cancelled days before. I never did cancelled. I paid two taxis for nothing and with the inconvenience of having NO car. My daughter and I exhausted after sooo many hours traveling in two planes from Europe to Ottawa.Reviewed 6 Oct 2024

I never took the car because the instructions were not clear about having to have one debit card and one credit card. I don’t own a credit card. So I wasted my time travelling by train from Køge and never picked up the car. I paid for the car and I’m very disappointed that all of this happened . No car and no money back 😞Reviewed 5 Oct 2024
