Pros: Very clean. Great location. Nice amenities! Great mattress!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The view is priceless and cant be beat. Watching the sunset over the ocean is unbeatable. Great location and safe area. Room was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Only reason I didn''t give it a 10/10 was because of the decor and amenities. This place needs a refresh and it will be a 5 star hotel. New appliances, tv, carpet, bathtub, shower. A full modern renovation and it would be perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the view of the ocean and the gas fireplace. There was plenty of room and breakfast was delicious!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: View was impressive
Cons: Yes no elevator. We are in our eighties and carrying bags upstairs was a chore
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The spa tub for 2 sure sealed the deal for me.
Cons: Tv has no preview guide could use a better tv provider
10.0 Excellent
The breakfast was really nice. Not gourmet, but the waffles were great and the eggs and sausage were good as well. The staff were all pleasant and responsive. In addition, this hotel is very well located. We are already planning our next stay.a
Pros: The room was fantastic. The balcony had an amazing view and the Jacuzzi tub with the ocean view was great! Neither of us could think of anything we would want changed to improve our experience.
Cons: I would prefer that the bathroom floor was tiled.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This bed and breakfast is awesome. Breakfast was homemade and tasted like it. If you were to look up a old time B and B this is what you would see as the definition.
Cons: When you stay at a B and B, you have to realize this is not a 1.5million dollar home in the hamptons. This is someone's home and they are opening it up to you. Everything worked, room is a little small but like I said, it's just like staying at grandmas house.

9.4 Excellent
Pros: Location ! STAFF ! Unbeatable ! Just Awesome. Location : The Owners have 3 or more properties here, two located side by side. Both are awesome. In the whole of Fort Bragg there isn't another Hotel that's closer to beach. Literally an exclusive beach, even though outsiders can come in but hardly saw anyone. We saw sunset from our beds. Open the balcony door and run to the beach. Staff : Best Staff I have seen. Very very courteous, absolutely ready to help out. We left a iPhone while checking out and had left Fort Bragg when they found and called us. They pre-heated our rooms. Amenities : Breakfast served in the morning is decent. We really liked the organic shampoo/conditioner/gel/cream they provided. Nice aroma. Robes were warm and comfortable.
Cons: Beachcomber - Bathroom could be a little bigger. Doesn't matter for few days, but that's the only negative thing I can think of. Surf & Sand - Huge Bathroom. Absolutely perfect !
8.0 Excellent

Cons: Place could use some updating

Pros: The rooms were clean, good sized and the staff was very nice. The grounds were kept up well and the stay was quiet and peaceful.
Cons: The breakfast wasn't anything special but it worked for us. The rooms didn't have air conditioning but we didn't need it since the coast was cool and there were fans in the room if needed.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the view, and the breakfast.
Cons: nothing
5.1 OK
Pros: The view of Noyo harbor and the ocean.
Cons: Unfriendly staff; uncomfortable bed; lighting (washroom across from bed); small tv; no hot tub. For the amount of this room, I think we could have gone somewhere else and gotten more...continental breakfast offered no fresh fruit. I wasn't comfortable nor happy in this room. It was clEan and maid service was excellent. Not sure I'd go back.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Great value!
Cons: Seemed a little worn.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Even though the hotel was a bit dated, it was sparkling clean and had all the conveniences we needed. The breakfast was adequate and the breakfast room was attractive and clean. Our room was close to the bridge over Noyo Harbor so it was a bit noisy with the slider to the balcony open, but with it closed it was just fine.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was having to pay extra for a Yoplait yogurt at the breakfast bar, but it was only $1 so I guess it wasn't bad.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, comfortable, convenient and easy to get to. We would stay here again in a minute. Staff was wonderful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms had plenty of space and were clean. The hotel staff were very courteous and friendly. The breakfast in the morning was excellent, many items to choose from and waffles cooked to order. some things did cost money but were only a dollar. I will definitely be coming back to stay at this hotel on our next trip to the coast.
Cons: I kinda wish they allowed pets but I understand why they don't.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I could watch the boats come in and out all day and not get bored.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at The Beach House Inn in Fort Bragg, you'll be near the beach, within a 5-minute drive of Glass Beach and Pudding Creek Beach. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
6.5 Good
Pros: Close to the beach and activities.
Cons: Close to the highway which was noisy at times. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. The building is wood framed and the floors quite squeaky so we were not able to get much sleep due to the person above us pacing around the room, even running at times. They finally tired out around 11:30 at night and woke us up with more manic pacing at 06:30 the next morning. They continued until check out time. Maybe knowing this, the managers could simply ask people if they planned on being out late, or up early, and place those people on the first floor. Unfortunately, it has been our experience that people have no common courtesy, and would benefit from some screening to provide an enjoyable stay for all.
7.4 Good
Pros: The location
Cons: Loud guests. I specifically asked for a quiet room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and everything looked fresh. Paint and wall coverings looked new, bathroom clean and fresh. Also the way the rooms were laid out, ours was very quiet. Our unit had isolated walls from other units. Liked the double security of having a locked entrance door to the unit and then a locked room door.
Cons: I would have liked to have had larger towels! But I am nit-picking.

7.4 Good
Pros: Clean and the most comfortable hotel mattresses ever
Cons: Was described as a room with a view for $205 which we were fine with. The view was non existent unless you count some trees as a view. Then my card got charged twice once from the website and one from the hotel. Customers shouldnt have to make calls about this after their stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's was so clean and comfortable. Very worth the extra penny's you spend. The breakfast was also very good. Even toward 9:30 (when it should be closing) they kept the food stocked. I will be back!!!

Pros: The Inn's fountain and gardens were beautiful. Kitchen was sunny and pleasant. Beds were comfortable and we had a nice rest. I liked that we could select our breakfast options from a menu the night before. We had a pleasant walk around the neighborhood and liked being within walking distance of town. Our host Gordy suggested that we see Glass Beach before leaving Fort Bragg. We did visit the beach and really enjoyed it.
Cons: We each had organic instant oatmeal and tea, and would've liked a bit more (fruit, toast?) for breakfast.

Pros: Awesome room and location!
8.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We appreciated having the refrigerator and microwave in the room.
Cons: The people above us were very noisy, stomping and running back and forth until well after midnight. Thank goodness my husband has hearing problems! :-)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I really appreciated that the staff was friendly and the rooms were really clean. It was a good basic hotel to stay at. It was also a great bonus the frigerator was a good size. It was easy to find and close to many of the activities we were planning to do.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Never got inside to like anything.
Cons: Arrived after midnight and no one ever answered the after hours doorbell, or the after hours phone number. Waited and rang for about 40 minutes. Called the corporate number and even they couldn't get a hold of anyone at the hotel. Had to find a different place to stay which was hard at that time of night with a car full of small children.
6.2 Good
Pros: inexpensive, clean, and breakfast on Sunday actually pretty good.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice location Regular breakfast, muffins cereals etc no eggs or waffles/pancakes, nothing fancy Very small but sufficient room Regularly decorated, not run down nor fancy Seemed price for location with friendly staff was what put it up top for me
Cons: Add some waffles, you have a toaster Please increase the pay for the housekeepers so you don't feel the need to put out tip envelopes
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: When you won't give me a refund for a room I didn't want, at least do me the favor of canceling these stupid marketing surveys. Thanks for adding insult to injury.
Cons: I'm never using Kayak again.
3.4 Mediocre
Cons: Rooms were ridiculously small staff was overly loud in the morning internet was non-existent no channels on the TV .said no smoking but the room reeks like cigarettes

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room furnishings were above average. Breakfast had good variety including waffles and sausages as well all the usual high carb stuff. Buffet was restocked frequently. Oceanview room was worth the extra money.
Cons: Just outside of town so nothing else around
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very clean and nicely furnished. It is a short walk through a tunnel to the beach.
Cons: There's no air conditioning, so the windows have to be open. During the day there's a lot of road noise from Highway 1, but that calmed down around 10pm and I was able to sleep well with the windows open all night.

9.4 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, good location, good parking, decent breakfast
Cons: The room we stayed in needed a more detailed cleaning
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I could see the ocean from my room which was clean, comfortable, and smelled great. The staff was helpful and happy. Breakfast was simple, but free! The gardens were beautiful even in winter. I will return again to see their summer glory!
6.5 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly upon arrival, locations is good. You have the beach just across the street. There are restaurants around like Mcdonalds, a pizza place, taco bell just a short drive from there. there's a dollar tree in case you need to buy some essentials.
Cons: They need to upgrade those bed comforters, we checked the bed before going to sleep and one of the comforters had a big stain on one corner, not sure what was it but it was disgusting. We had to take them off and used our sleeping bags, good thing we had those. Rooms looked kind of old, but you get for what you pay. For a one night or just passing by it is a good place to stay.
7.4 Good
Pros: I was looking for a comfortable bed in a quiet room for one night at a good price and this was it. The room was otherwise very basic which was ok. I didn’t try the shower.
6.8 Good
Pros: The motel was nice however some of the walls were a little dirty and the shower was awful. The pressure for the shower was weak and the temperature was inconsistent. Despite the above issues, my boyfriend and I were comfortable in the King Bed Room.
5.4 OK
Pros: The gardens and fountains were very nice. There are a couple of areas with outdoor seating. There was a gazebo, barbecue, and fire pit to enjoy. They have a great pet policy and a gated yard for your dog to run in. The rooms were clean, but had a musty smell. We were in a pet room, so that could explain it.
Cons: The rooms were very small and I found it frustrating to maneuver around the furniture. The plumbing was poor. The sink did not drain properly. When the shower was turned on, half of the water continued to flow through the tub faucet. The toilet clogged and there was no maintenance onsite. Housekeeping missed our room. When we went to the front desk at 4pm we were told housekeeping was gone for the day. Despite all of this, I would stay there again. It was worth it for the gardens and the dog policy.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Gardens bbqs Fire pit
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Weather was cool while home was very hot. Even needed a coat one day. Gardens are beautiful. Great place to sit and read a book. Location is good - next to small shopping center with grocery store and restaurant. Easy hop to downtown and not far from Mendocino.
Cons: Pillows were a bit to stiff for me.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were clean, breakfast was good, service was food.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was cold, but they had fruit.

6.2 Good
Pros: Our room was nothing special. There was a microwave and a coffee maker (but not creamer of sugar). The beach is just a five minute walk.
Cons: Wi-fi was non-existent. Old TV. Generally a bit on the run-down side.
3.1 Mediocre
Pros: Easy to find. Easy beach Access.
Cons: It was run down and dumpy. First room we were in looked freshly painted, but musty. No phone, no cell service and wifi didn't work. Completely issolated in uncharted territory was a bit frightening. Second room we were in, the bathroom was so tiny I was claustrophobic. You couldn't even dry off without stepping into main room. Wifi somewhat worked but still no cell service and the room phone wouldn't call out. There was also ants everywhere. Bed had a pee pad under the sheets and was gross. The Thai food was disappointing as well. I asked for it to be cooked a little spicy and it was bland and mushy. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Would have rather gotten all my teeth removed then stay ever again
5.1 OK
Pros: The location and the private beach were nice. The view of the private beach from the balcony was also nice.
Cons: The rooms are old and not necessarily well maintained. The maid service was awful. We had no maid service on the first day and only partial maid service on the second day. Our coffee pot and cups were not cleaned and the beds were poorly made. The 19" TV worked well but was too small for the room and # of occupants. The wifi and cell service were non-existent in spite of having a wifi name and code.
6.2 Good
Pros: It was quiet and we liked the beach just down the hill
Cons: The bathroom very worn
4.0 OK
Pros: This motel needs to be updated. Maintenance is poor. 19" tv, really? I haven't seen one of those since the 70's. Bedding and towels probably from the 70's. The door would not stay closed. Went to breakfast and came back to find the door wide open. No cell service. No wifi.
Cons: Nice parking lot.
3.1 Mediocre
Pros: Quiet environment Free WiFi
Cons: Ocean view is kind of misleading Poor customer service Misleading room rate Lights in room very dim Furnitures and TV are old and outdated Beds are too soft
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked that it was set back a bit and not right on the highway. It was quiet and the beach access suburb. Enjoyed a wonderful sunset!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The staff is really nice, the place is near several hiking spots and close to the Fort Bragg downtown. It has a private beach!
3.1 Mediocre
Cons: The lady at the counter was so rude we walked out and didn't stay. Because of our reservation terms we had to pay for a full night still. We had to pay our one night and drove 8 miles north and found a much better hotel for the night. Stay away people.
6.2 Good
Pros: Front staff guy was great. Comfy room Big room Lawn and yard area Private beach QUIET!
Cons: A little worn Dirty/dusty baseboards Tiny bath towels Tiny tv No extra power outlets

10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the owner. We didn’t get there until 1am and she was still as friendly as if it were the middle of the day. She told ya about all the rooms amenities and also gave us info about what to do during our stay. We will definitely be going again.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Our room had 20 electrical outlets. That simple fact meant that we could recharge every device for the three of us, plus enjoy the fridge, microwave, coffeemaker etc. There's also laundry, good water pressure, comfortable beds, etc. We've stayed here 4 times over 12 years, and we will stay there again.

Pros: Convenience and location. Cleanliness and the staff.
Cons: Not enough parking when you are full (no vacancy). Key card failed twice while we were their.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: They acted put out, the room smelled really bad, there were spiders on the beds, they went into the room with the not disturb sign up, there was no wi-Fi most of the time for me to work and when they went in to the room they turned of the a/c we had turned on so the room would at lest be cool.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Check in is at 3:pm, we arrived at 1:pm, the attendant did not hesitate to offer me the room, she said, "let me go look if it is ready", she came back checked us in.Clean room. Friendly people. Nice TV set.
Cons: A/C unit was a bit noisy, but it was OK. Put the do not disturb sing but they went in anyways. Side note. The cafe in the property, staff was great but food was so so.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: I called prior to my stay and reviewed the details of the room and let them know I’d be there with my wife and service dog. Joe told me they didn’t allow animals and I again reiterated that it was a service dog. He said, “that doesn’t matter. I’m cancelling your reservation.” I was dumbfounded. It’s a federal ada violation, and he was so flippant.
6.8 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, super close to Glass Beach (walking distance), close to main part of town (3 blocks to North Coast Brewing Co.).
Cons: Old motel, traffic from highway is noticeable, showers no bathtub
