Overview

“Bernstorff Castle Hotel is located in the historical building Kavalérgården, just next to the iconic Castle. There are no rooms in the actual Castle, but the reception is located in the Castle's lobby and breakfast is served in the Castle's high-ceilinged rooms with a wonderful view of green meadows and Copenhagen skyline in the background. Kavalérgården can be dated back to 1832 and is beautifully situated in Bernstorffparken – a lush green park, ideally for morning runs or romantic walks. Downtown Copenhagen is just 10km away and can be easily reached by car or public transport. The hotel offers free WiFi and free parking. All rooms are equipped with tv, desk and a coffee/tea maker and of course a private bathroom. We look forward to welcoming you.

Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests consistently praised the hotel's beautiful location, often highlighting its setting in or near a park and proximity to attractions. Many enjoyed the breakfast, especially when served in the castle, noting its quality and ambiance. However, several guests found the hotel difficult to locate, particularly at night, and mentioned issues with signage and lighting. Service was generally neutral, with some missing personal contact or staff presence. Room size and amenities received mixed feedback, and noise was a concern for a few guests, especially due to poor soundproofing and disturbances at night. Overall, the positives centered on the setting and breakfast experience.
