The location eight next to the train station When we arrived after an overnight flight, feeling very tired, the hotel computer was down and we had to wait for a coup[e of hours in the lobby for it to be fixed. The hotel should have made some sort of small gesture to compensate us for this. Also the breakfast included thawed frozen fruit which had turned rancid one day. The next hotel in Bergen had FRESH fruit. like melon, cantaloupe and kiwi. was was cut up and delicious.
Nice view from the window. A lot of mirrors in the room. More than enough hangers. Tea kettle. Free wifi in the room. Nice lighting. They gave us a twin bed although we are a couple. No slippers, no bathrobe, and very few bathroom supplies (no cotton swabs, no cotton discs, just your basic shower cap, shampoo and lotion). Inconvenient bathtub/shower arrangement, but they never are convenient in hotels for some reason. The restaurant the consierge recommended was not very good.
staff very good, graeat views from 17th floor menus in alberto k with only 5 or 7 course meal. no choice
Friendly hotel, clean and comfortable. Excellent location.
Nice hotel, clean and well located. It is a modern structure with modern looking rooms. It is not in my opinion a 5 star hotel, at best it is 4 star, the rooms are nota nice as they should be for a 5 star hotel.
location, great concierge Unfriendly receptio (did not honour a promise to secure a king size bed the following day)
friendly staff It's not really a hotel for a leisure break, it's more of an efficient, business-like operation.
location is great, fantastic breakfast room decor, lifts too small
great location and very clean bar was very very expensive.staff at reception were efficient but were not very friendly.
Great location across from Tivoli and train station, near main walking street.
Staff was awesome. The towel I used in the AM looked like someone had previosly used it for toilet paper. Grossed me out. Not something you'd expect at a higher $ hotel.
The location as part of the airport and just a few minutes from the city centre
The tub took an hour to fill. I complained about this twice, and dispite promises, nothing was done - and no explanations given.
It is a very comfortable hotel, next to airport, really close to the city center. Central train and metro station is just next to the hotel so it is really nice travelling without going outdoors.
Efficiency in a friendly ,courteous manner the breakfast is too expensive
The breakfast was much more complete than I expected for a continental breakfast. The waiters were excellent
It's location, walking distance from airport.
The hotel is the most convenient airport hotel I've ever stayed in and at a good standard, I could not fault anything about my stay, the service or location.
the proximity to the Copenhaguen airport and the comfort.
It was convenient to transportation to the city and real easy for us to make our flight on the second day of our travel. I included the breakfast for the two days we were there and it was fantastic.
easy to get to from the airport, good breakfast.
Spacious, beautiful hotel-building. Clean, almost luxurious rooms. Nice efficient staff. The food (sideboard menu) was varied and of excellent quality! Weekend price: very nice. Didn´t find any.
I chose the hotel simply because it was the hotel where the conference I was attending was organised. There is nothing of the hotel that stayed as a good reason to go back. As a matter of fact, I will be in Copenhagen again shortly and I will surely not chose this hotel, or any other SAS Radisson. I am particularly disappointed from the hotel. Firstly I had to change room on arrival as the bathroom was not properly cleaned. I had to change room again, as the one I was given was facing the highway and was very noisy, at the third attempt I finally entered a decent room. Rooms are small, in need of refurbishment, and very badly furnished. The hotel is very expensive, most of the personnel (although not everyone) was unfriendly and inattentive.
Only the view, really, although the window was a bit pocky. The lady at the front desk was very helpful. The gym/swimming pool area was very disorganized. The attendant was on the phone and was not giving us the right information so we had to keep coming in and out of the changing rooms because he forgot to give us the right keycard, then the towels ...
Nice room complete with all amenities and was available for an early am checkin. Nice breakfast with lots of choices. For such a nice expensive hotel, there was no air conditioning in the room. Opening the window helped some but then the traffic noise was unbearable. A call to reception at 3 am to ask for a fan was futile - all fans had been given out.
The staff were impeccable, I was treated extremely well. The selection of eatery's on the premises was fantastic - I didn't need to leave the hotel at all!
Location is pretty close to the center, nice lobby and some rooms nicely prepared Some rooms with small beds and poor, cheap interior
Courteous staff. Great fitness center. Poor checkout process that took 20 minutes waiting in line. I noticed the express checkout sign poorly placed and was not aware of it upon arrival. No notice of express checkout in the room. Very annoying since I was in a rush. Fitness center couldhave been open earlier in the morning (i.e 5:30 or 6am).
Cannot control room temperature. For price paid, I'd expect the courtesy of being able to decide for myself what my room temperature should be. They offered me a little table top fan and Said sorry. Or, "Open your window..." except there is so much road noise that I couldn't sleep with this option. Very dissapointed with this hotel. P
Nice hotel, with quite nice atmosphere and quiet pleasant staff. Beutiful swimming pool and sauna. Nice overwiev to the city. Very good access to airport by bus 5A. Not many equipment on the room - only 3 shampoons and one soap. No other equipment like comb, brush etc. The hotel is not right at the centre of the city, you have to walk for a while to the nearest metro station.
The hotel is about 1 km from the city center. There is a Metro station 5 min away. Considering the other options in the area, I think it has a fair price/quality ratio. The furniture is old, so is the TV, and all the rooms with a view to the river/city center have twin beds (at least that's what they told us) so if you want a double-bed room you'll have to settle with an ugly view (towards a gas station and a no man's land). Since the breakfast is so expensive, you can grab a coffee and croissants from the petrol station nearby.
The view from he room (20th floor) is expectacular. I would have liket to have a watar boiler and coffe in my room. We had problems wih the temperature in he conference room, it was very hot, but hey gave us a lot of water and we managed.
I did like the location of the Hotel I think the shower of my room could be improved. It was not working as it should: water was wether too cold or too hot.
IT WAS A VERY GOOD PRICE AND LOVED THAT IT WAS WALKING DISTANCE TO TIVOLI, THE TRAIN STATION AND HOP ON HOP OFF BUS. STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL. LOVED THAT THE BUILDING IS OLD BUT VERY WELL KEPT UP. IT RAINED THE FIRST DAY OF OUR STAY ! :-)
a wonderful hotel, close to everything, a great experience
Staff was great, breakfast was amazing, and the hotel was in the perfect location. Good value in central Copenhagen.
Warm and cosy athmosphere in the building, helpful staff and good breakfast. Noise from constructions outside. Shower over bathtub could be better.
Very comfortable Hotel, selected primarily for its central location and proximity (and ease of access) to the Main Railway station and Tivoli Gardens. There was a lot of construction work in the immediate vicinity of the hotel resulting in some noise and disruption.
The location is almost perfect and the stuff are really friendly. The breakfest could be more optional but that's fine.If you go to Copenhagen ,you can freely choose Plaza and ask for the room with Tivoli view.
Location is close to the central station
service, location room very small
location rooms needs to be renovated asap.price compared to quality is very high.
Spacy room Cold room. heating didnt work.
Location Not really
Hotel is right next to train track. Getting to it was a breeze. We were able to explore Copenhagen and save a lot of money by using public transport. Good breakfast spread. If we had to go Copenhagen we would stay there again A bit of noise from the rails.
- Awesome breakfast, especially the breads and yoghurts - Great location, walkable distance from all the castles, city center convenient train to airport and station right in front of the hotel - Bus stop right in front of the hotel - Convenience store in front of the hotel - Next to railway station, so you can hear the trains pulling through all the time.
Nothing The most ridiculous hotel I have ever stayed at. Very long and half the rooms face an active railroad line. They lied that the trains stopped at 00.30 but they were still running at 2.30 when they reluctantly agreed to let me move to the other side. I will never go back there and hope no one else will
Right across the street from the train and metro. Only a 15 minutes walk from most places we wanted to visit Right next to a beautiful park Inexpensive It's a budget hotel, which most reviewers don't seem to understand. For the price, it's a good value. It is definitely not a hostel, but don't expect any frills. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner and soap. It does back up to the railway station, so if you are a light sleeper I wouldn't recommend. But, I am a pretty light sleeper and with ear plugs it was fine.
The room was a nice size, with a door opening onto a green area. Nice bathroom. Free wifi. Was told it was an upgrade from my original booking. That makes me worried about what the intended room was like, since this is what I had expected. Breakfast not included because I booked the room through kayak. Staff was not very friendly or helpful (because I was a "second class" guest?).
Location, very nice price, Very noisy souround,
Good atmosphere in the hotel hall. Rooms a very basic, even a bit old, but quiet and you can get a good rest.Good breakfast buffet.
The blond young girl at the reception, she wasn't just pretty but also very helping. Also we liked that the hotel is just at the train station. It was a little bit loud and the staff didn't put us in a room which isn't facing the rails as I have requested 5 months ago.
Easy and free access to Internet One side of the Hotel, i.e. half of the rooms are next to a busy train line and therefore very noisy. This should be signalled on the website, so customers can freely decide whether or not they accept this drawback.
none, first time came to Copenhagen Noise from the Train Station
Location across from Osterport Station is great. The breakfast is a good deal, as Copenhagen is an expensive city for food. My room intermittently smelled bad. Like maybe gas was coming up through the sink drain? But it didn't happen often enough and wasn't bad enough for me to ask for a room change during my short stay. That's really the only negative.
right across from train station perfecly silent in the room; no noise from the train station (really impressed by that) the bed was very comfortable the lobby felt up-scale there was a tiny bit of mold/mildew in the grout in the shower (not a big deal) the outlets and switches were not in convenient locations (not a big deal)
Spacious rooms compared to most European hotels in this price range (beautifully designed & appointed, too). Nice little balcony. There is a grocery store just down the street, so we saved a lot of money by shopping and preparing food in the well-equipped kitchenette instead of eating out at restaurants, which made this hotel a better value than it would have been otherwise for the nightly rate.. Nice breakfast buffet was also included in our rate (very friendly staff in the restaurant). Loved the indoor pool/hot tub. It was a great convenience to be able to do laundry right in our room, but my only (minor) complaint is that the settings for the clothes dryer were difficult to adjust effectively, despite the instructions provided in Danish and English. After three hours of drying time, our clothes were still quite damp. Then it kicked in to overdrive, dried everything to the point of shrinkage, and steamed up the bathroom enough to make puddles!
The studio apartment room had lovely interiors. We rented bikes from the hotel which was really great. However the lack of free internet in the rooms was definitely a downfall. The free internet in the lobby was a little spotty. The location was a little far removed, but at least it was close to a train station.
Great location. Easy reach of town center, sights and transport. Good facilities. Room was comfortable, warm and well appointed. Reception staff and room staff were all fantastic. Close to a small supermarket and across from a great little Italian restaurant - Tio Mario, as well as the adjoining hotel restaurant Ottos which did a good breakfast. Both very minor niggles....Toiletries provided were slightly haphazard - shampoo and conditioner only one day, shower gel and shampoo the next! Jacuzzi could have been a bit warmer .....
The mini kitchen with plates, silverware, and refrigerator. Allowed us to shop for groceries at the mall and save $ from the expensive food in Copenhagen. The extreme taxes on hotel stays. The taxes was 1/3 the total cost. My last visit to the city.
Unfortunately I didn't have luck with the hotel at all. First of all I have reserved an apartment, nevertheless the lady on the reception was convincing me that this a normal room. I was too tired and at the first moment I agreed on the room. I was quite surpirzed when I found out that there are blood stains on the bed sheet (obviously bed sheets were not changed). I went again to the reception and asked for immediate change of the room. The answer was that they don't have such room, or there is one available but the TV is not working. When I asked to speak with the duty manager, that was rejected with the explanation that he\she is not in the hotel at the moment (4 Star hotel without a duty manager??? Hear for a first time).
The cleanliness, the staff was very friendly, the rooms have fridge and a microwave so you can save a bit by bringing food over. No free wifi on the room, the shower is no door/curtain style, and water gets everywhere in the bathroom, but looks fancy as hell
Breakfast was surprisingly good and the staff very friendly. Underground parking is expensive (as everywhere in Copenhagen) but facility is clean and safe. 150 DKK per 24 hours in room wi-fi per computer is not family friendly. others charges less or nothing. Wi - fi in lounge is FOC.
great rooms limited internet access - free only in lobby area
The wonderful roomy apartment and the friendly staff
the location is good, it is near the the port, and there is bus 26 to the center [about 15 minites drive], itws in a pleasant neighborhood and about 10 minites walk to the The Little Mermaid. Price does not include breakfast and adding breakfast is very expensive.
Great hotel for quiet and confortable stay. Close to public transit (one station to downtown). Very spacious, fully-furnished appartment for the price. Better than what i expected: thumbs-up ! Great staff and facilities (gym, pool, internet). Excellent restaurant, grocery store in the building. No complaints.
I liked the fact there was a kitchen fridge etc to make snacks. The swimming pool and jacuzzi was also a lovely addition. Staff at the desk were very variable- ranging from helpful to rude! Dish washer needed servicing so all the china glasses etc were not very clean.
Well location, good breakfast Shower system spill water all over bathroom floor
good location with walking access to center and Vesterbro, nice view over Copenhagen bathroom cramped, wifi spotty
Breakfast was quite good. Room was small (6th floor), no air conditioning. Train station nearby makes noise during night time. Hotel staff was ok, but not so friendly.
Helpfull and pleasant staff None
hotel staff kind, quick, precise bathroom, small, old, unpleasant
Breakfast, situation in the town
Staff The Room. I thought it was poor for the money we paid.
In the bathroom the water from the shower runs to a hole in the floor directly under the sink/mirror. So after taking a shower you stand most of the time on a wet floor. Then near the sink you have a hairdryer and using it while standing on a wet floor is life threatening.
The lady on reception was lovely and spoke excellent English. The facilities were wonderful and clean and it was very peaceful. Nothing
The only advantage is that the hotel is close to downtown (Tivoli) The hotel is the worst one I've never seen. Dirty everywhere (including dishes at breakfast), small, dirt and unusable bathroon (after a shower you could not use for 30 min). Bedroom very small.
Fantastic Breakfast, really friendly helpful staff, great location close to central train station and Tivoli Gardens
Nice staff and good breakfast Poorly furnitured
Very noisy on the street/rail, we couldn't sleep with the window open.
Good comfortable clean rooms, free wi-fi was good, great breakfast included, great staff. When we first opened the door to our room there was a strange smell by the door.
All ok!! Also free wifi
Staff friendly, hotel price good. Very central. Breakfast was fair. Booked a triple room, bed was not in the room when we arrived at 11h30pm had to wait 20mins for the reception to bring the bed. Room had a odd smell.
I liked the high standard of the design, which was not luxurious but of a very good taste. My bedroom was clean and had very good proportions, not too small for one person. The breakfast was excellent. And I loved the view from the room with the balcon at 6th floor.
I know other reviews criticize the internet. I always had a great internet connection; no troubles at all. But my sister had trouble keeping FaceTime going. She said it uses internet, but we don't know if it was that or just poor reception. Other reviews criticize the train noise. I was on the courtyard side (no beautiful city views) which is not the greatest to look at the back of an office building. But we got absolutely no noise. It was quiet as a deserted town. So if noise bothers you, get a courtyard room. No vibrations from the trains either. Clerks were always friendly, helpful, and even on the enthusiastic side. Someone criticized the elevators. They were old fashioned, but it's a major over-haul to put in bigger ones. I thought they were cute. The location was great. You could walk to all the sites in the center and west of the city center. It's a longer walk to the north and east sides, but the bus system is fine. It was hot that summer and the hotel doesn't have air conditioning, but most hotels in a 3 star class do not, so I wasn't expecting it. But they provided a fan for every room and that was really nice, so we were fine. I didn't pay for the breakfast. I looked it over one morning and it was typical 3 star class breakfast: a few varieties of breads and pastries, sausage and eggs, a couple cereals, some fruit. The scrambled eggs looked they had been powdered, rather than fresh. But Copenhagen, (and the Danes in general,) is not a big breakfast city. I suggest you get it, as restaurants that open before 10-11 a.m. are hard to find. It's main drawback was cost. We stayed in Copenhagen at the last minute and everything was booked up. The Mercur was the best of what was left. So I felt I paid more than I expected for a 3 star hotel in mid September, but Copenhagen is a really expensive city, so I can't say that for sure.
The breakfast menu needs improvement.
It vas very good, price OK and staing midle of the center.
Service was very good about bathroom and room, clean and comfortable room. Not so mmany chanels at the tv.
Location and good value for money.Great breakfast. No
Near the Metro. Airconditioning. View of the City.
Good connections and medium walk distance to city center. Breakfast was not included into room price through booking.com and 160 dkk was way too expensive for that breakfast.
Friendly staff, excellent view, convenient access to public transport (very easy direct metro link to the airport) A bit worn, had to wash hands after using hair dryer because it was greasy.
Staff were approachable and helpful. The rooms were clean and well kept. The mini bar was actually stocked! Having a metro station around the corner was very convenient, made travelling into town and especially the airport a breeze!
location only bathtub -no real shower
The neighborhood was nice. The staff didn't know too much about their facilities and Christmas time in Copenhagen. The breakfast was very expensive but rather ordinary.
Good service No
Hotel was close to metro station and close to where my friend lives whom I visited. No.
Friendly Staff + close to Metro Despite Airco too warm in the room
Receptionist was helpful and kind but we had to pay for printing an A4- sheet. That a little cheap for an 4-star hotel. For the price and the quality of the room, breakfast must be inclusive
Quite and comfortable rooms that provided a great nights sleep. Free wireless worked well in rooms and restaurant allowing me to stay connected with multiple devices (iPhone and iPad.) Nice to see outside Copenhagen and walk along the sea front.l Slightly overworked member of staff in the morning having to look after reception and restaurant which slowed down service. Limited menu choice at dinner - but food was excellent quality.
The shower was asolutely excellent, the best I have had for years. The coffee was excellent too, I enjoyed the breakfast. No
It was very near to my friend's appartment and we enjoyed eating in your restaurant In the early morning (approx 5:30pm) the refuse collection truck stopped outside my window and stayed with its loud engine running for about 20 minutes - this disturbed my sleep
Location is fantastic and the hotel is charming. Bathroom could have been cleaner.
I liked the personal touch of staff that make the stay very pleasant. The room we had was nice but there were a few repairs to be made (room 22) - for the room to be 100% updated. no
Cosy small hotel with very friendly and service-minded personnel. Restaurant was excellent. Conveniently located next to bus-stop to Copenhagen center (approx 15 miinutes). Room was clean anf functional, but on the small side. Classic "dansk kro" with a touch of class.
Relaxing, romantic and splendid food Their breakfast can be improved
The view to the seaside, the style of the hotel My wife missed a power socket for the hair dryer in the bathroom
Easy to find your way back to. Not far from food and shops. A neat place to stay, wish we had the time to stay longer. Corner of the bed sticking out where you bump your shin and trip as you pass through the room. A bit narrow between furniture and bed.
Great location in Copenhagen. Close to shops, restaurants and other sites. Clean and historic style hotel. Plentiful buffet breakfast.
The architecture is a great mix of old world and contemporary. The wood ceiling and support beams in the guest rooms and the brick arches down the center of the hallways make this a one of a kind location. Not a lot of dining options. The brunch buffet was a bit pricey.
This is an iconic hotel on water in the very center of the city. Ofelia Plads is right next to the hotel (with tango on weekend nights in the summer). The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have seen (but it can get crowded if you go there at a wrong time). The rooms with windows facing the street, as opposed to water, are less nice and noisier.
Beautiful rough hewn, 12" x 12" beams throughout; multiple skylights with custom coverings; easy access to taxis. See above
The location was good. Mold in the bathroom, tiny windows, dungeon like feel walking to the rooms. Musty smell, overall dirty. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
We really liked the location in proximity to restaurants and sightseeing. Also the decor/look and feel was nice with the brick walls and old beams. Very comfortable and spacious compared to other Copenhagen properties. The staff was just okay.
The location was excellent, near canals and cafes and the concierge staff was very helpful. My room had beams that kept me from easily getting out of bed, and I hit my head badly on one just sitting down in the chair. My phone had been turned off by the prior occupant, and so I missed my wakeup call. The maids should have looked for that and restored service so that didn't happen.
cool hotel in good location with friendly and efficient front desk staff. Close to great shopping and good sites. Easy to get to from public transit. The hallways to the rooms sort of ruin the "luxury" impression of the hotel. The thick walls of the original structure run right through them, so they're difficult to navigate and closed in. I think some people would like the mystique of it, so depends on your view of that sort of thing.
The location of the hotel is very safe (near foreign embassies and the royal palace), on the waterfront facing the opera house, and close to wonderful restaurants. The buffet breakfast is great. The structure of the building was built in 1600 or 1700's as huge warehouse, The some large vertical beams are, unfortunately, in the middle of the guest rooms. The hallways feature long rows of brick arches. Have stayed in this hotel 4 times. Would be happy to stay there again despite somewhat high prices. The equipment stored between the hallway arches somewhat detracts from the ambience.
Located in the "cheap hotel district" this is exactly what we were hoping for from our stay! Terrific location (next door to the main train station), clean hotel, nice staff with easy check-in/check-out process, and a breakfast buffet that gives you a little taste of what the food will be like! Enjoyed our stay! Rooms are small which we knew. Also, buffet does get crowded as others have mentioned but would recommend for a fine spread of bread, meat, eggs, and some fruit! Would also recommend bringing your own soap/shampoo.
The staff was helpful and I liked my room. We came in the middle of the renovation of the lobby, and it was a little inconvenient, but as I said, the staff was very helpful. I had to be in a wheelchair, and the elevators were small. Otherwise... all went well.
Staff was great in every way that a professional and friendly staff should be. No real dislikes, just meager breakfast buffet and somewhat small room.
ample breakfast buffet, but lousy coffe. dobbel bed too soft, type hammock feeling.
close to station no water in the room
Very near to the Central Station. Breakfast was good with price in mind. Receptionist was friendly. Old and narrow space.
Just a block from the train station, comfortable beds, good continental breakfast. Room was pretty small and Spartan, no suitcase stands or toiletries, very few power outlets especially near beds. No air conditioning and heater did not work. Midweek price was way too high--I wouldn't pay more than $200 out the door...
convenient location carpet had been torn out of hallway on the entire floor that I was on giving a somewhat bombed out feel to the place
Great location. Close to central station. Great service from the front desk. Good breakfast. Some rooms require to take few steps of stairs with no ramp. Not good with big luggage (or elderly).
location Room 331 had a foul smell coming from the bathroom.
room was comfortable and had good selection for breakfast. didn't like not having trea and coffee making facilities in room
Star hotel is great for family, location is very good and the breakfast is good also
The old building and its park environs. Breakfast. Other food when it was available. Staff was helpful in the circumstances; like 2-4pm checkin! Danish guests have liked the opportunity to visit its traditional persona as a palace. Location means not practicable without a car. No proper restaurants to walk to. In the hotel, restaurant not open unless enough guests are there. No simple luggage rack, minimal wardrobe. Considering no possibility for even a snack, why no jug, glass, cup etc if one has to bring own food to the room or starve? Has been attention to the place, but without small things it's not user-friendly.
i liked the calm atmosphere, tours in the park, the way the castle looked. old, but well maintained no
Service and breakfast
The surroundings and castle (main building) are quite nice. Internet access was good. The location suited us as we needed to drive north and thus avoided the traffic. Whilst the main building has character, the accommodation is relatively simple. The location is far away from anything. Dinner (where you have no options either in location or menu) was completely overpriced. At breakfast the bacon/sausages were cold. The guest car park (you can't park in front of the castle) is in "forest", it was raining and the ground was muddy - useless with luggage and leather shoes.
The charge for internet connection was too high a day cost what I pay for a month. It should be free!
Please write at least 15 words No bathtub
Comfort and location The bar coult be nicer
Very quiet - great sleep
Location Long cues at the lobby counter
location is wonderful, in the city just 3 mins by walk to central station. heating system seems to be not working..
The staff is really friendly, and the room is clean and comfy. The hotel location is great, about 7 minutes walking to conpenhagen central train station and Tivoli gardens, 13 minutes walking to the main shopping district (stroget). Just outside the hotel a big shopping supermarket (LIDL) is about to open so you won't have any problem getting your domestic needs. The Hotel is a known chain which has about 45 branch throughout scandinavian countries, so be sure that this hotel has a reputation to build and maintain. To sum it up, we had a great time. The rooms have these old boxed TVs!, i thought these TVs have gone extinct! for a 4 stars Hotel they all should be replaced with an LCD TVs (which i'm sure are not expensive to get). There are about 16 TV local channels besiedes BBC entertinment and Discovery channel which are all dead boring to watch, a dish should be installed with some movie channels instead of the boring cable channels. The wet room in the bathroom is nice but it is seperated from the rest of the bathroom with only a curtain, taking a shower can be messy sometimes, isolating the wet room with a glass door is more modern like and more hygienic. One big double bed cover is better than having two single bed covers!
We stayed in room 264 and it was noisy both from next room (a door between the two) and also from the garden if the window was open.
That the room was very nice, the beds was really good and a good location. They did not know that we were coming, could not find our booking even if we had the bookingnr on email. The price included breakfast, but both nights we stayed the could not see that we had paid for breakfast and when we were checking out, they wanted us to pay extra. It was all solved when they saw our booking on email, but still ruined a bit of a nice feeling. Our daughter tried to call the hotel for over 45 min, then she took a taxi to the hotel to meet us (still on the phone waiting for them to pick up). We tried to call for more towels and could not get through.
location Booked well in advance and requested a room away from the street, preferably at the back or facing the court yard. But, was given a room right by the street. The receptionist explaination was there was no room available as requested, just wonder how much in advance notice before is requiered.
That I was there only one night. Lack of doors that locked.
The situation, well located in the heart of Copenhaghen The room i get is very small, with old basic furniture, uncofortable bed. The roos is very basic, no coffe or tea maker....I can`t considere the hotel a 4* one. it is less than 3*.
excellent location, near many points of interest, bus lines and train.
The location is excellent - few steps from City Hall, in Latin district, near Univercity library(very nice place). Good breakfast - in continental style, but food was very nice ( especially various sorts of cheese and fresh orange juice) The bathrooom was not comfortable - very little room, instead of normal shower pallet - plastic curtain and hole in floor.
room was small and close to hallway entrance so a bit noisy.
This is a very comfortable town in a great location within Copenhagen. I would definitely use stay there again when I am in the city.
Near to city center
Nearness to train station and city center. Nice room with a comfortable bed. Wireless internet, hair dryer, etc. Swedish tv channels ;-) The breakfast buffé - the coffee was hardly drinkable, and there was no plain youghurt to go with the müsli. Theres were no bottled water to buy in the room. A water boiler and some instant coffea/teabags would have been nice too.
The staff were not just professional but incredibly nice. I would stay here again without a 2nd thought. Christian at the front desk was incredibly helpful not just during check-in but also when guiding us about sightseeing. The room design is absolutely lovely. It is a pleasure to walk into a hotel with such thoughtful design. Breakfast was an excellent spread too. Nothing that I felt was missing. There were some minor issues with the room - previous occupant threw stuff down the drain that clogged the sink. I feel cleaning staff should have notified maintenance since it was a significant clog but the staff were incredibly responsive when I reported it. One thing that I didn't care for was the half length glass protection in the shower. I found it took too much effort to not splash water outside the tub.
Comfortable rooms, nice design, next to a shopping mall and a train station.
We were late back on the Saturday night and the restaurant was due to close but they served a starving group of us a main course which was delightful.
The long hours for the gym access were appreciated as I was working long hours. It was a little strange to have the sauna in the gym rather than appended to the changing rooms. Also, the breakfast was brilliant! The rooms could have been bigger, as I stayed for 2 weeks and it felt a little cramped at times.
The rooms were clean. I loved the modern feel of The Island and the view was beautiful. Far from the city center but it was close to the train so that made up for it.
Hotel was modern, clean and overall it was a nice stay. Quality of the free breakfast was better than most. The hotel is close to the hop-on hop-off boat and bus stop, so if you buy the 48 hour sight seeing tour you can hop on the boat that takes you to several stops around the city... This almost makes up for the hotels fairly poor location... Location is on the outskirts of the city so it's about a 15-20 minute walk into the city... We had a problem with our room keys where they didn't work and we had to get new keys at the front desk... This happened twice... and the second time was after breakfast on the day we were checking out... I had to wait about 10 minutes in a line at the front desk to get new keys...
the air conditioning was not working at all, the hotel was hot and humid and to sleep you had to have the windows open but the road noise was appaling, thooughly uncomfortable night.
Excellent view. Very nice room and bathroom. Very modern design. Location is a distance from restaurants but is close to a train station.
The waterfront is beautiful and very new. The location is not close to anything. Additionally the beds were too soft and bouncy.
Quite and stylish. Too far from the city, and problems getting to Congress at Bell Center
The hotel provides a very good location to Tivoli Gardens and Train Station
The beds were extremely comfortable and the view from our room was lovely. We were upgraded from a city view to water ciew room. The reception staff took too long to answer the phone. Perhaps more staff are required?
The helpfulness of the staff could not be faulted and the choice of food for breakfast excellent.
Que to check out / que to hold baggage - lots of waiting
The rooms were a good size for scandinavia, and there was a very good view. Although a 5 star hotel there was a general small mindedness and lack of orgnasation; very expensive wifi, very expensive breakfast and be careful when to go there as we just avoided very long queues. I arrived early and did not need to be told that normal checkin was at 16:00, when I did come back after 16:00 nothing had been done i.e. had to complete checkin, bags not already in room etc
First time ever a hotel charges a guest for an empty plate.. 76 Dk.. unprecedented! Buying a plate and cutlery would have much cheaper. It's cheap for a hotel under this marriottt flag to be as cheap.
comfort Too long time tjekking out
the room and the wiew no
Very comfortable beds. The executive lounge was good value. The location is good enough but it's a bit of a walk to the absolute city center.
Service in bar/restaurant The late check-in
Cleanliness and Location. Within walking distance of City. Our Room wasnt automatically cleaned.
buisness and plessure no
Polite staff. Poor equipment and expensive everything.
location I did book a meeting room, + coffie, water and soft drinks,by tel.con. to your confference/even dept. and gave my name and reservation number at your hotel. And asked for a confirmaton by email. I received no email and t the point of need, this meeting room reservation was not in your books.
Room546 was great. Huge space and huge bathroom. Windows looking out to clock tower. Service was very good. It was slightly expensive but for weekend birthday celebration it was great.
Easy walking to all sites, located on the pedestrian area... The Stroget, close to the metro too. Wonderful coffee shops all around, and a running sushi place too.
Great central location. Sexy Building. Great Restaurant and bar. Comfortable beds, duvets very soft. Well stocked mini bar. Room a bit tired. Wardrobe space tiny. Bathroom had mould stuck in silicone around bath, and plug was closed with dirty water sitting in basin. Bathroom amenities not what they were four years ago. Ren products have been replaced with something cheaper and less desirable.
Their obvious policy to keep their guest satisfied no matter what. Their staff was excellent and polite. They fully met my demands and solved the issues I was not happy with. We ended up in a better room thanks to the hospitality manager Mr. Henrik Carlsson. I was very happy with how he solved my complaints! The staff totally met my ideas of people who work at a 5 star hotel. Even the room service was always punctual. Then the mattresses were very good and their balkony excellent! The room I got in the beginning was not clean. Then there was very little space to hang up your clothes and only 1 chair to sit comfortably in a medium room which should suit 2 persons well. The medium room was actually much smaller than I had expected or was at least not comfortable to go around in. Then there was only space for one suitcase in storage space and the other suitcase just had to stand on the middle of the floor. They emphasize design but then you could hardly wash your hands in the bathroom sink because the faucet was too short. But these complaints are small in comparison of how welcome you felt at the hotel.
the location and comfort for that level of price I would expect a better level of acoustical insulation
