Arrived around 10:30 pm and had to get up at 5:30 am for my flight. Just wanted to take a shower and go to sleep. I walked into my room and the carpet felt damp. I crossed the threshold into the bathroom and immediately was hit with a strong odor of urine. There was hair and residue all over the bathroom and counter. This lack of hygiene is inexcusable.
The breakfast was pretty good and included a waffle maker which was not mentioned. The employee was courteous and offered information on delivery restuarants.
The bed was hard. There were dirt smudges on the walls. There were two of us staying and only one cup in the bathroom. The blanket had a cigarette burn hole in it, and we had a non smoking room. The mirror had spots. The shower had soap scum on it. Worst of all, the listing mentioned a pool. There was a pool, but it had been closed by DHEC.
Very RUDE desk clerk
The desk clerk Tina was very RUDE when I checked in around 10:30 p.m. I'm not sure if I woke her up, but I do know I didn't deserve the filth spewing from her mouth. You could tell she didn't want to be there but that's not my fault. I called priceline to cancel my reservation and they said they would have to call Tina first. After talking with Tina they called me back apologized for the way I was treated and not only cancelled my reservation for me but gave me an immediate full refund. I am so glad my young children and wife were in the car and didn't have to experience the barrage of foul language.
Me and My friends were here for a wedding, I stayed in a Super 8 before and had very low expectations going in but was really happy in the end. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. The location wasn't about 20 minutes from everywhere and would definitely go back.
