Separate seating area with TV, books, glasses and a corkscrew. Home made mince pies. Very comfortable! Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with lots of choice. What more can we say as the family were GREAT!!! We turned up and for some reason my bookings only showed for one adult but they were very kind and sorted out the situation instantly accommodating all 5 of us after a 145 mile journey with two having special needs(which they were great with). Pros: Surprising to find an indoor swimming pool and sauna at a 3* hotel. Cooked breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Bedroom décor not in keeping with some of the other areas of hotel and could do with an update. Heating in room was overwhelming even after turning off the radiators. Cons: Nothing not to like
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is we’ll situated to the town and hospital as my mother in Law was in the WSM general hospital. Staff, facilities (swimming pool) and food are all fantastic
Cons: The property could do with a lick of paint in parts and a good duster around the lights but nothing major
4.0 Okay
Pros: Good location and friendly staff.
Cons: This was less of a hotel and more a large guest house that had been expanded. The quality of service was not that of a hotel, but we were charged hotel prices. I stayed in an attic room that required walking up a staircase, along multiple passageways through two doors, up steps and down slopes. The bed had two pillows with two ripped pillowcases (pillows too large for the cases), which were not not changed even in a 3-night stay. The iron bed in my room had a mattress that was lumpy and uncomfortable. They were short staffed. One had to wait at an empty reception on arrival until someone arrived. At one stage it was manned by the barman running in from the bar. Didn't stay for dinner so cannot comment. Breakfast was fair, however one morning a bowl of yoghurt was next to the cereals, the next day none. When asked for some was told we don't have any. Really? In a hotel? My set table at breakfast was missing one place setting. I asked for the cutlery and cups etc. They went away and forgot so I had to take a place setting myself from another table. My partner asked for some honey. It arrived in a small ramekin dish which had a large chip out of it and looked awful, yet it was brought to the table. There was little attention to detail, and to quality. Lastly and most exasperating. A family at breakfast allowed their small son to run up and down the dining area, out and in from outside and neither the parents nor the serving staff checked him. This should and would have been checked and stopped in any decent establishment.

4.0 Okay
Pros: Food was a basic but well cooked. The restaurant was clean and tidy. Swimming pool and staff were excellent.
Cons: no soap in the bathroom or shower despite wall fittings for some. No towels to use for washing despite reception previously by phone saying only need to bring swimming towels. Booked for 6 but only 2 bed pillows supplied. Electric card ran out when reception was closed and could not get a replacement despite reception saying if it runs out come back and get a replacement. Could have recharged for £5 minimum but not worth it for a cup of morning tea. The classic chalet could have done with some improvement in decoration and curtains that fitted.
1.0 Poor
Cons: The place was very dated, the chalets were cold and damp. The food was horrendous and staff were extremely rude
