I absolutely loved the apartment, it was very modern, classy and chic. It was imacculate interms of cleanliness. And the staff at the reception were very polite, friendly and helpful. It was too far a walk from city centre.
very omfortable and spacious, amenities were excellent
I liked having a fully equipped kitchen and we were able to heat and cook our own food The toilets made a loud noise after every flush
This is a catered apartment set-up. The rooms are very modern and beautifully designed. Cleanliness excellent, with breakfast in the fridge as an extra. Location is not the best, but Leeds city centre is about 10 mins walk away
Clean - well equipped - stylish - affordable - convenient Room was cold.
facilities and room size were excellent value for money. Parking just across the road was very handy. a little out of town but as long as your know this it should not be a problem.
home from home and better than staying in a hotel The room was very hot and at times noisy from the people above and from the nearby building work.Air conditioning would help rather than just a fan so I could close the window and keep out the noise!
there was empty bottles of spirits in one of the kitchen cupboards. (4)
The bed was very comfty! And had a lot of appliances The room and cuterly and glasses were dirty, we were up all night with people running around the corridors
we requested a quiet room and go one! bathroom very nice, fabulous shower. evening meal offer was good. I found a long white hair on my pillow, +my hair is brown !
Competitive price for standard of accomodation Would like a discounted breakfast rate or price inclusive of breakfast
Comfort, cleaniness and good location
Friendly staff, good facilities in the room. Was a little surprised to find 2 additional beds made up in the room! Breakfast reaaly expensive.
Really friendly staff. I was travelling with a group of girls and we managed to get adjoining rooms which really great.
Very nice hotel There was a definate lack of parking which meant that we had to pay more than £20 to park in another car park
Well located for the city centre, well appointed spacious rooms with good bathroom facilities. Limited car parking available at hotel.
the use of the health club facilities it was a bit basic for a hilton - I could feel the springs in the matras, there were old stains on the bedding and the bathroom door. There was no hairdryer. The cooling system was not clear to use and the room was very hot - opening the window was no solution as it was very noisy - not sure where noise came from. (on the tenth floor)
I found the location excellent. We needed to get the train and it was rightr beside the train station. It was also handy for the airport bus.It also turned out to be useful that it had a bar as the snow was bad and we couldn't get out one night.! Wake up call that we didn't ask for at 5am on both mornings!!!!!!!
Location, comfort & atmosphere No issues
The entrance/welcome, the leisure facilities and the distance into the city centre the room was basic, not what what we expected for the price we had paid.
Location was great Bar prices very expensive
The pool steam room and sauna The wine was very expensive
Good value for money great location nice breakfast Nothing
Quality of service, food, decor, comfort. N/A
The hotel staff were warm and friendly.,..The room was very clean and tidy. Price of daytime food was slightly expensive.
I had a pair of spectacles lost / removed from my table in the hotel bar and they were never found
Excellent city centre location with great views from the higher floors. Clean and pleasant room with huge comfortable beds. Check in was a little slow but it did seem that quite a lot of guests arrived at the same time so that was probably the reason why.
it was nice clean and cetral nice food and friendly staff would stay there again liked everything no complaints
The whole experience was lovely, the room was really nice and the bed was really comfy with good views of the city. just the cost of the mini bar being very expensive
Location, View & Friendly Staff In the room, Floors where dirty, trash under beds & staff to lazy to clean scuff marks off of walls
Nice modern hotel in great location No
The room was spacious with everything that you needed. Very comfortable and clean. Could have had more pillows on the bed and room service menu and fridge items I thought were overpriced.
the comfort and style of the hotel
the staff were very pleasant and willing to help. The reception staff had excellent knowledge of the surrounding area ie shopping centres. he bar area was kept clean at all times and service was always prompt. We stayed in room 606 and the only thing which my wife and me noticed was the iron burn marks on the carpet which were present and must have been done by previous guests.
The ultra modern decor & cleanliness of the room. Also perfectly sited in the centre of leeds. Hotel was superb.
Good staff & Central Location My room was badly in need of redecoration
The fact that it was very well placed for both shopping and entertainment and close to the station The air conditioning / heating made the room very dry and I went home with a cough
the bathroom was especially nice and modern the room was very small for the price i had paid. There was only one pillow per person, to obtain any extras would have cost extra which is disgraceful when people have already paid so much money for the room. The head of bed was against the wall which led out to the hallway, this meant every noise in the hallway could be heard at what ever time of the night.
Hotel staff did not konw about local attractions in the area, particularly the brewwery across the road.
the price and convenience only reservation is noise between bedrooms esp late at night
Centrally located (5 mins walk into the city centre). An excellent value Hotel.
Excellent breakfast included in the price which made a big difference to me booking it and a good and speedy lift in spite of the hotel being busy parking difficult and shower could be more powerful - sofa bed was made up but was not needed
the bed was comfy the telly was good the building is completly soulless, everything is so perfect its too much.the toilet extract stays on permenantly and its noisey, the light switches all clunk on and off and you hear even your neighbours.
The staff were impeccable in the level of service they offered. The room was clean and well appointed. The best thing thoug as far as I was concerend was the location.
the location by the Brewery Warf very expensive for the standard of accomodation and services provided
Good location, walking distance to shops, bars and nightlife. perfect for a shopping weekend or a night out. clean, spacious rooms and good breakfast. Parking is at an extra cost and is 5 mins walk away
Convenient to city centre, rooms quiet Parking still expensive even with discount. Smoking in bar, which is above restaurant area, but I guess that will all change in July!
The location was superb, the room was a really good size, it was very clean a comfortable. Parking. After being turned away from the light car park due to an ongoing murder investigation we had to park almost 1 mile away, when we enquired if we could still get the discounted parking vouchers availible from the hotel the guy behind the reception replied "we've got nothing to do with the murder". Very disappointing.
Beautiful room in a great location. Room service food was of a very [poor standard. As a solo female traveller I dined from the room service menu several times and was amazed that a hotel of such good reputation should have such a limited menu and poor quality food.
Hotel beds too soft
the location close to shops bars restaurants the train station and bus station.. no
Reception staff friendly and efficient. Pleasant room with very comfortable bed. Very central, but quiet in spite of being full. I find the keycard difficult to use in door, but maybe it was me being thick!
Brilliant location in The Light - we met friends for dinner on the Saturday evening at a restaurant 2 minutes away, watched a film on Sunday in the Light and then had a late lunch at Brio next to the hotel. Also, liked parking in a secure car park overnight. Next time we will eat Sunday lunch at the hotel - looked great! Kept forgetting to use the key card to operate the lift even though we were told at reception.
Very clean room and comfy beds and nice bedlinen. Good bathroom though shower mechanism overcomplicated! Yes, there were rows from the next door guestsin the corridor outside our room at 2am and 6am which was awful. We complained and got some money back.
I was very impressed with the standard and quality of the rooms and ease of access to facilities
Very clean, nice facilities, great location, and good value for money No biscuits with tea bar!! Mini bar was empty!! Checking in and out was a long process as you only had one staff on.
The decor and the feel of the place. The staff were very helpful in particular the concierges It was a very quiet hotel, not somewhere I would go with a group of people.
Great rooms, central location very close to public transport, helpful staff.
location - right in the center of leeds city. The bar was lovely and the reception area was grand soft pillows - pillows bit to hard!
Right next to the train station. Room was perfectly nice except for shower. The shower was moldy...smelled moldy and looked moldy.
It was in a good central location There was no full length mirror in my room and the hairdryer was rubbish
Staff ensured we had a relaxing, hassle-free stay. The hotel decor was worth the visit!
The Hotel has been refurbished to a high standard and the facilities are excellent. Very helpful and firendly staff. Accessing the location by car around the City's loop traffic system. Better signage would be beneficial.
staff and room shower was a bit naff
Room was fine - good bathroom Firstly I had afternoon tea - the scones had been defrosted for too long or were stale, and the cream was artificial. Secondly I booked an early morning call and newspaper but received neither
Easy access from the train station and near shops and bars. Staff were very friendly and helpful and I loved the hotel decor.
The City Inn Leeds is a very modern hotel with an impressive imac in every room. Very clean and spacious bedrooms, excellent value for money. Being very new there was still much building work around the hotel, and the hotel was hard to find, poorly sign-posted.
Excellent service and very nice room. None
Value for money, location, room and view from it. Very clean room well set out. On the eleventh floor there seemed to be a constant fan noise which we didn't think wasa the air con heating of other guests (we didn't have ours on). Great breakfast but the black pudding was not great, perhaps sourcibng it from the home of black pudding - Bury- would be better.
Very good the staff very helpfull and frendley
Modern, chic, stylish hotel in a great location in city centre. Staff are excellent very helpful & friendly.
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience. felt so comfortable I extended my stay another night.
Service was excellent, food also excellent would definately reccomend this hotel The breakfast area was a little crampt
Staff very friendly and very professional. Room was to a very high standard and very clean. No
The facilities were excellent. The view over Leeds from the 11th floor was fantastic.
The location was convenient, the room was clean and functional.
Nice City Centre for Shopping. decoration work being carried out in the lobby.
The cleaners gave us extra coffee, after a night out! They were lovely. There wasn't a lock on the toilet door!
nice rooms distance from the train station, i was on my own walking in the dark and i had read somewhere it was metres from the station which is why i chose this hotel.
ok no parking
The view of Leeds from the 11th floor window The public car park facilities require a very late or early return to the car to buy a ticket which is very inconvenient. The breakfast offers poor value for money when compared with similar or more expensive hotels.
it was within walking distance to the city centre and train station the welcome
the friendliness of the staff the room was not cleaned properly on any day of our stay.
For the price, the services and accomodation are fine. Clean, warm and moderately quiet. Very very basic room.
distance to airport and to restaurant next door nothing
Covenience to airport and Beefeater Restaurant Surlyness of Receptionist and offhand maner...did not feel welcome but interrupting her day!
Very friendly staff
warm welcome, speedy registration, clean and comfortable room, alarm call on the dot.
Overnight stay convenient due to location. Clean and lovely breakfst
Nice friendly staff. Easy to find. Hotel nice and clean, Liked the ground floor room Low bed, slippy bath, hand rails not in right place for me, room cold on arrival (although the room was changed on arrival to move us further away from the main door which was thoughtful of the receptionist. Cracked tiles around 2 of the grab rails in the bathroom and black mould in some of the grouting
Just as expected generally. Great staff, friendly and helpful especially the delightful cheerful girl in the breakfast room! Bedroom cool which was great as so many unbearably hot - we could control temp too. Only one towel in room when prebooked for two people. No remote tv control. Room smelled stuffy on arrival - ? old smoking room so suggest curtains washed as that may deal with problem!
Lovely, Friendly, Spacious, Clean and close to everything None
The receptionist was very attentive and helpful. She helped us with all our queries at checkon our departure.
Location - very close to Leeds Bradford airport. Also easily reached by public transport. The corridor smelt of stale cigarettes
Room had everything we needed, was very comfortable. Relaxed setting.breakfast was good value for money and great quailty. The hotel was busy and fully booked and could not facilate for paying coustomers to have dinner in the hotel.
Was a nice size room Bed wasnt very comfy and trafiic was very noisy, non stop all night
Clean comfy and welcoming facilities None
The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. The room was superb for the money. Very comfortable. Noise carries quite well in the hotel. On the Saturday night of our stay there was lots of noise fom the corridors. But that was because there was a group of young lads staying there that had obviously been out that night and had had quite a few drinks. But that isn't the fault of the hotel or it's staff.
The fact that the hotel has its own restaurant seperately staffed. Thus not having to wander out in the cold and dark to eat especially on a business trip! Noise from rear of hotel - trains and road noise prevented a good night's sleep and spoiled an otherwise great experience
Neat and tidy and helpful staff A book of local attractions would of been good to see in the room. Things like cinemas and resteraunts and the main shopping centre.
the hotel was easy for my family to get to to see me Nothin all good
location, room size and cleanliness. Restaurant closes very early. should have little more longer hours.
Large bedroom Its is not a central hotel
Close to Elland Road great for match day. Good value and handy to have a restaurant on site, although we didn't eat there. 2pm check in is fairly late considering the majority of guests were there for the football and we all ended up sitting in the bar until our rooms were ready which was a bit crowded. However, I was aware of the check in time before I booked.
Friendly, helpful staff. Good value. It says on Booking.com that there is free wifi throughout the the hotel but actually we could only access it in the Lobby. Breakfast was included in the rate but we missed it because they had cleared away by 9am.
Linda, the breakfast chef went out of her way to be helpful. The location was ideal for our needs. Desperately in need of refurbishment. Probably OK for housing the homeless.
It appears the Hotel is being run down. The resteraunt was terrible and should be avoided at all costs
Staff are really pleasant & helpful
The service was excellent. Staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Very good breakfast with healthy options and choice of fruit, fruit juices, cereal as well as English breakfast. Chef was kind enough to find Earl Grey teabags for our room as well. I reported a broken bedside lamp which was not mended.
All staff were extremely friendly and I was made to feel a welcome guest
Non-smoking part of hotel with newer rooms was great. We had one room in this end. Smoking end was fine for decor and OK for smokers!! I was put in a smokers room. I asked to be changed as it stank of smoke but was told no. The receptionist said that it was not a smokers room although there was an ashtray by the bed and it smelt terrible. He said that as no-one had been in it for 2 days it was fine. Next doors radio and alarm went off 5 times during the night. The wall was only thin and I thought it was in my room as it was so loud. Had a terrible night!
Food was excellent. There was no cold water in the rooms
Comfy and homely. Away from traffic. All very pleasent
Breakfasts always good internet not in rooms or working properly
Pool/Spa, bar staff and atmosphere good, bar food also good Bed not very comfortable and moved too easily.
Large, clean hotel.
The room was only made up for one person in the bathroom and one of the towels provided was so thin it actually had a hole in it.Also with a room overlooking the car park we were kept awake for about an hour by guests leaving the bars.
Excellent value for money with very good facilities. Staff very obliging and pleasant at all times. Good parking facilities -free. Single beds too narrow.
Food of high standard. Drink prices excessive. Not all restaurant open in evenings meaning guests turned away unless booked. Why are residents expected to book?
the friendly welcome and general helpfulness of the staff. the food was not good in either restaurant, though the breakfast choice was very good. We had to wait until almost 10pm for a table we had booked for 9. Not a good selection for vegetarians. The food was cold. But the staff in general were very pleasant. I would recommend the hotel but not the restuarant.
Excellent breakfast bar Exit access going north on to Otley Road
The pool and leisure facilities We were told we had a quiet room but were given one directly over the bar so we hardly slept, ruined what would have been a great weekend
the whole experiance the staff were excellant and the spa was great
Good service, attention to extras, a personable feel to the hotel Eating options in the evening limited to expensive items
it was just great value for money and the service first class!
Food was good, bed was comfortable, nice coffee machine in room. Was charged to park in their car park (where else would I park), the old magnetic strip room key gave me the usual walk back and forth to reception to fix, the room and especially the bathroom were a bit tatty for the high price, the bar staff were not very attentive and it wasn't clear whether I should be going up to the bar for drinks or sitting down and wait for a waiter. I did both, and both times service was slow as the staff chatted amongst themselves.
The spa was excellent as were all the features at the hotel.Very comfortable room and good location for the motorway. Could do with a sign for the hotel from the motorway, we spent sometime looking for it.
Good location, brilliant facilities and very helpful staff
The facilities, room, en-suite were all very good. We enjoyed the meal in the restaurant and the service was excellent. The breakfast menu was excellent. The 'comfort control' (heating) did not seem to work as expected, either too hot or not on even though the control panel had the temperature display the auto setting didn't seem to work well.
99.9% of the stay!!, The service at reception was particularly impressive. Knowledgeable, friendly and above all helpful staff. Nothing worth commenting on.
Great room, great spa! Can't really fault it - and I stay at a lot of hotels!
The room was designed for comfort and the hotel had a nice ambience.
Near to headingley stadium
Nice interesting decour in keeping with the Victorian image waitress friendly and food okay Very casual treatment at check in could hardly spare the time from something in other part of building . no soap or shampoo, small towels , very thin walls could easily hear voices in nextdoor room .
The staff could not have been more friendly or helpfull it was areal pleasure to stay there. They also included a two courst dinner gratis.
The hotel is shabby and in need of updating. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable and there was a sewage smell in the bathroom. I went out in the evening until 11.15p.m. and when I returned to the hotel, I found I couldn't get in. I had to bang on the door and shout through the letterbox for more than ten minutes in snow and freezing temperatures before finally being let in. Altogether an unpleasant experience. I have stayed at Butlers before, but certainly will not be doing so again.
The help and assistance that was provided by the staff No
Location close to Headingley stadia. Themed sports memorabilia. Architrave on bedroom door was loose. No pillowcases.
Staff very helpful A bit noisy at night
i liked the atmosphere of the hotel Rather pervasive smell of the kitchen especially cooking fat. The mattress in my room was apalling!
The hotel was not easy to find. The room was small and the bed was old and not too comfortable. The sheets were clean but old an d worn. The food in the hotel restaurant was cheap but not good and there were no other restaurants nearby.
The staff were lovely, friendly and very obliging. We were made very welcome! and it was close to everything. It was very hot!
everything was perfect,so relaxing. no
The room (229) was at ground level and quiet. View from our window was pleasant with no buildings in sight. Walks direct from rear of hotel enjoyable. Access into Leeds, if need be, can be made by public transport from just outside the hotel, very convenient. Nothing!
The location of the hotel was excellent for anyone wanting to avoid the horrors of driving in Leeds city centre. The hotel has seen better days and the decor was rather dark and gloomy in the reception and bar areas. The food in the restaurant was good but rather expensive for a three star hotel.
Good location for our purposes, good layout, nice and roomy hotel, friendly staff Smoke alarm went off twice in middle of night, 4.00am and 5.30 am, should have room cleansing charge for smokers, hotel in Chester has £150 per day room cleansing if smokers smoke in room. No apology offered for inconvenience.
The leisure facilities were filthy, very very dirty throughout. I put a complaint to the duty manager who was not proffesional nor did he offer an acceptable response. The general feeling was of disorganisation and apathey. I would not return to this hotel.
Bathroom could have been cleaner. One window was broken and couldn't be closed. Room service breakfast was very poor quality.
Overpriced bar, you are charged to listen to music in your room, overpriced breakfast that had only a continental option.
location and leisure facilities
Breakfast provided Soya milk and red bush tea lovely Hot tap in basin splattered Floor vibrated with the music Room was cold, had to turn on and up heater Shower water was luke warm
leisure facilities - bar meals i think the quality, choice and style of bar meals is far superior the style and qaulity of the restaurant. Carvery's are very old fashioned
I can't decide between the greasy floor in the Bathroom or the dirty curtains. The general state of disrepair was very quaint though and the dysfunctional shower was a source of great amusement. The general smell of the part of the hotel we were put up in wasn't to our liking, I suppose the smell of dead cats is an acquired taste.
It was a delight - in a great situation in the woods which made it easy for doggy walking. I and my dog were made to feel very welcome
The staff were excellent as was the quality of food. Unfortunately the weather was poor during our stay and the roure tot he hotel from the lodges was waterlogged.
The total relaxation, the beautiful surroundings, the restauant was excellent and apart from the private hot tub not working on the first night everything was perfect.
Intimate, romantic, relaxing. Food was amazing as were the views and the room. No slippers in the room enquirer about them twice as they. Were on the booking. Only confirmed to me on checking out none available but got surcharge on room service escorted which made up for it. But a phone call or visit to the room with an update would have helped
fair prices in the bar jack johnson music all the time. petty i know but it get to you in the end
The spa is great and the evening dining was nice. Lovely location. Room was shabby and in need of serious TLC.
The bar / restaurant Cleanliness and heat of room!
Relaxing atmosphere and enjoyable pool and jacussi Poor service at breakfast opened jams at table not informed of breakfast routine
The rooms were ok. Hotel is very dated, my shower did not work and breakfast did not start until 7.30 meaning that as I was travelling on business and had an early start I could not eat breakfast. They did offer some toast however.
The staff were unfailingly friendly and efficient. Also, the accommodation is very unusual -- my room was in a superbly built log cabin within the woods about two minutes walk from the main hotel building -- great facilities (free wireless Internet, swimming pool, gym) and sense of tranquility. The food is excellent too -- I ate in the bar and in the restaurant and both served reasonably meals of an unusually high standard.
