9.6 Excellent
Pros: View and staff very friendly
Cons: No thing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the Balcony The Breakfast
Cons: Nothing to Dislike
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Regency is set high above the river and thus affords beautiful views from the breakfast balcony! The staff were friendly on arrival and upgraded our rooms when they realised our stay would clash with a wedding bash, and thus we might be disturbed by noise. The rooms were very tasteful and peaceful. And the breakfast was tasty!
Cons: The check in process was quite slow, especially as the upgrade was late to be organised. The breakfast is very expensive (USD 30) which is not value for money given that it is a fairly standard kind of buffet. The hotel is quite far out of town, which means over reliance on eating at the hotel, but on the flipside this is an advantage as it places you away from the busy centre of Kandy!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The management and staff were very nice and cooperative. Particular kudos goes to the front desk manager and the guest relations manager who were very understanding of our needs and were very attentive. The breakfast buffet was excellent as was the dinner buffet. The swim pool was lovely as well. This is a very nice facility but I would recommend staying in old part of the hotel rather than the newer wing as you have to walk across a long bridge back and forth to go in and out Anita W
Cons: NA

Pros: Beautiful pool, excellent room with own balcony in a wonderful setting.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice swimming pool, big an quiet rooms, good bar with nice view, really very wide range of good food - one of the best hotel restaurants we saw.
Cons: Many stairs without an elevator. Long answer (or rather no answer) for their own email proposal about food upgrade and mistake in double food calculation (it took a while to correct it at the check-out).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic hotel - excellent value. Beautiful room and bathroom. Lots of different areas to sit and eat, drink and relax. Lovely pool with poolside service. Totally 5 star for 3 star price. Highly recommend. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back it was the best thing about Kandy.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I loved the room we stayed it which opened to the garden and view of the lovely river
Cons: The sous chef made a very derogatory remark saying that we only cater to the taste of the liking of European sand American Audience while we as Indians get nothing which was the comment made to us while we went to eat at the restaurant and that was a major put down given the fact we are all humans and such remarks made don’t go down well with us and they should clearly write it that we don’t cater to other nationality!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning outlook over the river, great amenities, welcoming staff.

Pros: Breath taking location. Excellent weather. Lovely setting. beautiful garden. Best place for relaxation and people who look for combination of nature and history. Friendly ,helpful and polite service. Well trained staff.
Cons: Time taken for everything. Efficiency is low. We had to wait to check in even after booking in time and even to get a bill after payment we had to wait for long. Whole feeling of the stay is lost this way. Road to the hotel is not very safe if you driving in the night.

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: nice garden and good food
Cons: I asked to change bedroom 4 times due to background traffic noise very bad smell from sewer inside bedroom old fashioned decoration inside bedroom ugly carpets on the floor
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location, away from the busy centre of the town, but within easy reach. The Spa is fantastic and the staff there are extremely well attuned to the needs of their guests.
Cons: Restaurant staff need to understand the meaning of ‘less is more’. Being surrounded by 5/6 staff all eager to do something, does not make for an enjoyable relaxing meal. Need to learn how to allow guests to enjoy their meal in a relaxed manner, but with top quality service.
6.0 Good
Pros: Food was great
Cons: Too expensive when comparing with other hotels
7.0 Good
Pros: The chef was able to take special requests.
Cons: The room upstairs had some work going on which was noisy.

Pros: Great location and big rooms. Buffet had a good offering of local and western food.
Cons: The staff are very friendly and super welcoming but do like to hover over your table which can be uncomfortable. The building work is also really annoying and couldn’t sit out on balcony because of the noise.
7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely food, big and fresh selection. Nice dining room with a view. Good location in walking distance to the temple and the city centre.
Cons: Due to construction works directly next to the pool there is hardly any space, very little view and a lot of noise. Once this will be finished I can imagine it being very nice again.

4.0 Okay
Pros: location is good.
Cons: we booked supirior delux room. we didnt met some facilities which were in booking.com inside the room. ex- tooth brush and tooth paste , room slippers, shaving kit ect...
7.9 Good
Pros: Facilities are good, central air conditioning with fans...nice balcony facing mountains with swimming pool under the viewing. Buffet dinner and breakfast lots of choice, internet is very good with high speed, also have lots of choice of TV movies, overall a very decent hotel to stay over.
Cons: When first arrived, the reception lady asking for full amount of room fee to be paid upfront upon check in, very odd. I paid in USD but handed back in Rs at a very low rate which I didn’t get told so...Ended up have to refund my USD payment and pay the whole bill on my credit card...the staff wasn’t apologies for not explaining it properly to me....I wasn’t happy about it but glad it all sorted out in the end. Also my room have a bad smell when firstly entered, I had left the power on while having dinner to take the smell away. Overall it is a good hotel for a short stay.

Pros: The rooms are amazing and super quite. The view from the room is stunning. The food is always tasty and the staff is very kind. The yoga session in the evening are very relaxing as well as the spa treatment (not included in the price). The infinity pool is amazing.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The food in general is healthy and well planned. The mountain view from the room is very beautiful.
Cons: the place is very remote, driving there need to make a lot of turns and make me feel very sick . The resort is expensive but rustic, not high end at all. there are bugs in the room. I didn't find the spa particularly good. the towels in the spa are very moisty and not comfortable to use, and not smell that well. the therapist is also just average but they charge very high price. it's more like a hotel 3-4 stars.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: They charged me the full amount event though we wanted to cancel 4 days in advance. Normally I would understand this but my wife is pregnant and we had an emergency so had to stay close to hospital at Galle. They were very unresponsive and didn’t bother to even give me a call. Pretty disappointing response overall
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A great ending to an amazing trip. Breathtaking mountain views from our room, nice pool area and spa, perfectly matched to the landscape. Food was also amazing, with super tasty juices and service was excellent. The staff was always kind and available to assist us at any time and fulfill all of our requests. Getting there takes a little while, but I guess is the price to pay for having these views and becoming one with nature.
Cons: That we didn’t stay longer :(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing.. amazing place .. amazing staff ... amazing food.. amazing scenery.. perfect place for 2-3 full days. You can enroll in complimentary activities such as bird watching and walking to the river..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel have an astonish architecture, beautiful lines all connected with nature. Our room didn’t have a Mountain View, but it had the feelings we were inside of a jungle. Monkeys, birds, so many sounds..it was an amazing experience. Staff, food, spa, pool, all very thoughtful. Wish I had stayed longer!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Architecture is just stunning, the view, and the atmosphere of being somewhere out of space...
Cons: the price is overdone! The food is OK but you can have rice & curry for less expensive and just that good in other restaurants. There is nothing special about food, the main point is the place and especially the architecture of the main building and rooms

2.9 Mediocre
Pros: The breathtaking view from the infinity pool although it was dirty itself.
Cons: Room was filthy. Stains all over carpet had to move room because the bead sheet was covered in yellow stains. The head waiter in restaurant kept taking out plates before we had even finished our meals and asked for the money when we hadn’t even got our food yet. Food was basic to say the least . Menu had alcohol in room but they did not sell it when we asked anywhere on the premises
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Nice room. Good staff.
Cons: Water pressure is not enough for bathing from the shover. No hot water.
7.1 Good
Pros: The view from the property is fantastic. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The buffet breakfast was amazing and the pool was clean and well maintained.
Cons: The bed wasn’t super comfortable and the facilities advertised was definitely a draw card however upon using the squash and badminton there were only broken rackets and no squash balls. We did manage to have a game of badminton with broken rackets which was better than nothing. The first breakfast was very disappointing as the hotel was quite empty we had tea, fruit, scrambled eggs all of which was below average. The next day however was a full buffet breakfast which was a great, Western and Sri Lankan.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the location and views
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing View, Excellent service, but the hotel is very difficult to find, if you don't have Google maps you will never find it.
Cons: Quality of the food was good, there was a few items not available/out of stock on the menu.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Good view.
Cons: One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever made. I have never had so uninterested hotel staff, who don't even try to meet a single customer request. I made a trip with my brother and a friend in Sri-lanka and we crossed Kandy. Therefore we decided to check into the Randholee Resort Hotel. We arrive late in night, at about 9pm, we though that there is still time for 30min. swimming, because the pool was open till 10pm. For check in we show 2 passports and the hotel staff say to us, that we can leave our baggaes in the 1st floor and we can take a seat in the ground floor's lounge. We got also refreshing tissues. So far so good. At this point, the struggles begins. After 25min. of waiting in the lounge, I asked at the reception if it is possible now to check in, cause we still have planned to go swimming till the pool is opened, and by reason of arriving really late, we were not really happy about the waiting time. I saw that our passports and the room key were already prepared laying on the reception desk, so I think that they have forget to tell us that we can check in. I was also looking for someone who can take the refreshing tissues, because we hold them for 25min. in our hands, waiting for someone who take the towels away or tell us that we can check in, really nice (sarcasm). We had a friendly hotel staff who show us the room, it was now about 9.30pm, after entering the room we realise that our baggages are still not here and I asked him, where are our baggages? He looked in the room and say to us, that they will bring us the baggages. So I think that they leave our baggages in 1st floor and forget them to bring them in our room while we are waiting in the lounge. Maybe next time you can say to your hotel guests that they can bring the baggages for their own in their rooms, I think thats much safer. So we waited again for the baggages, because our swimwear were in them -.- after another short 20min.

Pros: Superb place and the location is beautiful. I have no words to explain. Me and my husband had an amazing 1 night stay. Friendly staff
Cons: No bad comments
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I wanted to cry driving away from Madulkelle I loved it so much. This was the most expensive place we stayed during our holiday but I would have stayed another 3 nights if I could have (we stayed one night, would have booked more but they were fully booked). We stayed on 23rd December and the property had a festive feel with Christmas decorations and everyone in high spirits. The staff were so warm and friendly and the service exceptional. For its location and captive market the food was very reasonably priced and really high quality. As for the accommodation, it was everything I imagined it would be and more. Seriously considering returning next Christmas.
Cons: That we only had one night there, obviously would be nice if it was a bit cheaper but it felt worth every rupee.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this glamping experience. Beatiful views.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: I booked Galavilla after seeing the marvellous reviews and pictures of the hotel. It was our first day hotel in Srilanka. After getting tired of visiting Kandy, we were off to the hotel, even though the roads are bumpy, once you reach there you will forget how you came. You will be greeted warmly by the Manager and the staff with hotel towel, tea and homebaked cookies. The suit was amazingly huge with an amazing view of the mountains. The option for Jacuzi outside near the pool is mind blowing!! The food is delicious with good variety of local and international cuisine!! Overall it was a great time being there and it’s definitely worth to stay for more than 2 days.
Cons: All good except for the roads to reach there
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our first stay after the flight ! Got a pick up at the airport and went straight to beautiful galavilla! Takes four ours - but it’s worth it ! We had a great room and the staff welcomed us so kindly with hot towels for refreshing and fresh tea ! Really great food and service ! You can chill at the pool and get spa treatments which we didn’t get (so can not say anything about it ) The manager of the hotel organized the travel to Sigiriya by himself and was very kind ! Thanks again for this pleasant start of our vacation !

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an amazing villa atop the mountains. The gardens and swing makes you want to stay for many days while the interior design is tasteful and rooms are super spacious. Our entire family loved this place and didn't want to leave. The staff are super friendly and professional. I highly recommend this place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is truly heaven on Earth. It's located about 15km away from the dirty, noisy, busy streets of Kandy, up a tiny mountain road, and the view is amazing. The whole hotel is very well maintained and clean, it's very stylish and - compared to the other places we stayed in while in Sri Lanka - even luxurious. Clearly, nothing has been spared to make the guests feel at home and comfortable. Right from the start, we were greeted with some home-made banana bread and local tea while our documents were being processed at the reception. Afterwards, we performed a small ritual for guests - some sort of local tradition - that involves lighting the candles on a statuette as a form of welcome. We were then led to our huge, spacious room, which had a minibar, couch, fridge, drinking water heater, a large bathroom and a huge terrace spanning the whole length of the room and overlooking the mountain ridge on one side - just for us. Walking around the property, it's truly beautiful. A very well maintained garden with different plants, very colorful and peaceful, the swimming pool and jacuzzi were great. The staff are the friendliest people ever - every single one of them! And that breakfast!!! You have to try the Sri Lankan breakfast they cook, we ordered Sri Lankan breakfast every single day and it was EXCEPTIONAL! It's so much better than any other local food we ate at any other restaurants and cafes during our stay. I felt like crying when it was time to leave...

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were exceptional and very warm and welcoming. The checkin experience was the best I have experienced anywhere - no standing, no queuing, just relax in the grand atrium and they come to you. The buffet dinner was wonderful. The gold-trim style may not suit all tastes, but we loved it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were particularly impressed by the hospitality that the staff delivered, they were always smiling and responsive to our needs. Our room was.310 and the room was cleaned frequently by RUWAN a happy individual with a ready smile. The recently recruited Assistant Food & beverage Manager Asanga Fernando was a lovely guy smart and very interested in our future travel plans.
Cons: From our point of view everything was A ok we will return again if all goes well.
7.1 Good
Pros: Everything was okay
Cons: At 11pm, a 5 star hotel had no lights literally. the shut down the lights in the lobby, in the stair way, in the entrance, outside the rooms. Comeon why are there no light outside the rooms? This is not something a 5 star does on saving pennies in electricity costs. Not 5 star. Will not stay here again and dont recommend as it is not what a 5 star offers. The hotel giys called me a van to transfer to nuwara eliya, he said the van is great and everything, van turns up from 1970s with everything broken and me having to find safety in it as on road issues are countless. Seats broken etc. not hotel fault but they should not be referring such vehicles when they themselves negotitate top rupee for the hire.
