Exellent location. Close to beach. Within short walking distance of restaurants and shops. Good pools (indoor and outdoor)and spa. Good service. Room (superior)small. Breakfast buffet choice/service not up to usual Barriere Hotels standards. Did not spoil stay.
the association with thalassothérapie the absence of small dishes during the noon period (13-15h)
the kindness availability, flexibility and politeness of the staff the evening dress code is a bit tight to my taste but this was a minor inconvenient
Facilities Room was quite small
Superb outdoor pool, very good service
very good hotel no
position of hotel facilities good staff very good would be very helpful if breakfast could be included as part of the room rate as this was good but quite expensive
excellent staff. leisure facilities
The balcony on our room was huge. More like a terrace. Lovely The food and drink were very expensive - €24 for breakfast !!
The location of the hotel is exellent. Free, good bikes available! The gardens of the hotel were not well maintained and the pavement in the garden was dangerous, uneven and wet/slippery near the bar! Drinks and food in the hotel are expensive.Parking costs 25 euro a day.
Location, helpful staff, bicycles, bar by the pool Lack of dining facilities in the main hotel.High daily parking charges
This was a very pleasant experience. Quiet, efficient, friendly + perfect location
This is a trully charming hotel, ideally located and with a relaxed, luxurious feel supported by excellent staff,
Outdoor swimming pool at 30 C, excellent room and breakfasts. Able to walk onto the fantastic beach. Very good bar lunches in beautiful hotel Menu's for evening meals food very rich. But used very good restaurent in centre of La Baule,
Very nice location and beautiful old style building Expensive breakfast if one only wants a light breakfast. A simple continental offers (cafe + Croissant) should be made available for those who stay in the hotel.
Decor and comfort. The staff were attentive and able. Bedroom spacious and well equiped.
the ambiance the swimming pool was crowded. no seat available.
location and interieur service, kindness, restaurant and breakfast service! We would not recommend this hotel for private guests, its more a conference hotel and for events !!!!
The close proximity to all the amenities including beach, shops, market and restaurants. There was nothing to dislike at all.
Close to the town and beach. Parking facilities. Friendly staff.
good location 10 mins walk from beach. excellent breakfast.good to have a balcony daily market outside set up very early
The location is great--right on the market square, and only a few blocks from the beach. Good restaurants in the area--we especially liked "Le Loft." Not a fancy hotel, but clean and convenient.
Good quality room with terrace opening onto the town square; however we were first given a room adjacent the elevator -- be careful ! Heating system uncontrollable resulting in a room too warm -- we had to offset this by opening the door to the terrace a little.
We noticed that Hotel Alcyon had a great make-over since our previous visit. The decor is just great and the welcome just as warm as before.
Great room with plenty of space, newly refurbished. Breakfast was superb with a huge choice of food. 100 metres from the beach and 150 metres from the main shopping street. Good that it has its own private parking as this is difficult in La Baule.
Receptionist spoke English. Family room pleasant No teamaking facility in bedroom. staircase needed extra rail on last descent for support
We were very impressed with the quality of the staff and the food and the general setting of the hotel. We did'nt stay long enough to comment but intend to return next year for a longer stay.
vriendelijk, schoon, gunstige ligging t.o.v. boulevard zeer kleine badkamer
The kindness of the owner or the manager and the modern stile, but very classical of the rooms no
Really nice friendly bloke.Spoke excellent English. Room beautiful, lovely design, bathroom fantastic. Don't worry about parking it's easy in streets around, no need to pay directly outside. Would have liked teamaking facility in room
Clean room and great staff
Comfortable bed, efficient shower, decent towels, central location to shops, restaurants etc Small bedroom, tiny bathroom, musty smell in corridor & stairs
Staff are very helpful. Location is good (two minute walk from main street and further 5 mins from the beach). Hotel is a lot nicer than most two stars... decore is nice in rooms and it's very clean and modern.
Loved everything about the hotel.Loved the decor position and generally all we wanted. You wouldn't want to be "large" though the bathrooms are small.
Friendly and convenient/good value for money
Very friendly staff. Eager to help. Very good for touring motorbikes as they can keep you bike in safe storage. \Very good, clean and upto date bathrooms. the 5 star of 2 star hotels.
The staff is very friendly and competent. Flexible about having children and pet. Great location and great town with very guest friendly people
The staff were fantastic nd teh hotel very comfortable. We only had the breakfast, which we thought was decidedly average but very expensive. We looked at the dinner menu that seemed extremely expensive
Peaceful hotel with large garden near seafront. Very helpful, efficient and welcoming staff. Quite grand, spacious, comfortable bedroom with a large amount of cupboard space and a large bathroom, with good bathrobes. Plus, windows opened fully - very welcome, as in a quiet area. It was a longish walk to the main restaurant area of La Baule. Unfortunately, the private parking is located 50m away, so a worry for anyone like us who is travelling by motorbike. But staff offered to keep an eye on it when we expressed concerns about security overnight.
Food excellent and staff very efficent. Very good location Parking in the hotel carpark should not be charged for
Hotel looks perfect, nice stuff at the reception and perfect food Horrible stuff at the breakfast, not very good place, far from the city
The hotel staff were very pleasant, the rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel was in a good location close to the beach and shopping and eating areas. The restaurant served good value gourmet meals.
the staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful and every effort was made to accommodate our choice of room and guidance on where to eat etc was offered freely - La Baule is a very charming place to stay and this hotel suits the location the plumbing in the newer building on the opposite side of the road was more reliable
The location was excellent, hotel has parking facilities, food and service first class. Nothing
The hotel is in an excellent location, the staff is friendly an helpful, and there is free parking right at the building. Though the bed was comfortable, the room was so small as to feel confining and inconvenient. There was little space for unpacking. Also, I prefer a bathroom where all plumbing is in one space; this room had a WC.
Close to the beach; Rooms are quiet. Small rooms; Hardly any facilities in rooms (only bed + shower, do not expect more); Ham and fruit at breakfast not fresh. Limited choice at breakfast.
M. Hulot vacation spot with small town beach atmosphere. Good restaurant on site. Friendly and helpful staff.
The meal on the terrace and the memories from the film (Hulot) Staff a touch amateurish in the restaurant
Being on the beach, breakfast, nice restaurants nearby, friendly service everywhere. Nice walks. Clean sea water, test results displayed.
The staff were very helpful, and the hotel was in a lovely location right on the beach. The two rooms we booked we far too small to make the stay in this hotel comfortable.
Excellent location overlooking beach, decent parking facilities. Very modern facilities and excellent breakfast The service during evening meal was a complete and utter farce, not just our table but the 7 tables near us had problems with orders not turning up, huge delays, some orders turning up twice. The rooms carpets were unwalkable barefoot due to some ancient torture device that was passing for a carpet, the rooms were also far too noisy and should have been soundproofed better.
The location is wonderful - exactly what I was hoping for - right on the beach and still many recognisable features from the film M Hulot. The hotel inside is very clean and the room was lovely - cool and the most comfortable bed ever.
The location..it really was by the beach!, And the restaurant, which was excellent
great location. right on the beach rooms a bit small, we wouldn't stay for more than a couple of nights
A lovely hotel in a great location - right on the beach with windows that opened wide to hear the sea at night and look out in the morning. It helped with clear sunny blue skies. Breakfast was good too. The room was spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed the night that we stayed - but staff told us of alternatives as we checked in, which proved to be good.
location very small room
Very helpful and friendly staff. Very nice hotel. No dedicated bar staff on hand. However plenty of bars nearby.
Excellent renovated rooms. Parking space too small for such size hotel - had to park a car on nearby street, where also was very hard to find any free space in the evening.
Proximity to beach and other facilities Possibly the parking - although we found a parking space right outside that was free!
The car parking was totally inadequate. No outside bar and limited air conditioning in the communal areas of the hotel. The wc in our bathroom was not attached to the wall.
Great position on the sea front, very comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the beach A nice Art Deco theme, with some original bits in the public areas. A fair walk to the centre. Staff attitudes rather lacking; when we checked in no-one asked if we would like to eat in the hotel - if they had we would have booked, but at the time we weren't sure what to do. Later on, when we tried to get a table for dinner, it was fully booked - no-one cared we were resident, just the normal French shrug. No recommendation of where we could go, so we had a wander about until we found somewhere to eat.
The room is very clean and comfortable - second time I have stayed at this hotel The food prices are high, although the quality is good. Next time I wil eat out
This hotel is very very good, it was the best promotion. The parking is too little, for hotel such size is certanly short.
the room and location of the hotel
Location close to beach Staff speaking limited English, breakfast far too expensive
Was upgraded and had good view
good welcome and rooms
Great location across the street from the beach, walkable distance from the train station (5-10 min, based on how much luggage you have!), the jacuzzi/spa was nice, and it was very quiet. The staff also provided a table fan for air circulation without us even asking for one, as it was quite warm on the 3rd floor. The restaurant attached/associated with the hotel was not as wonderful as hoped for for the price paid. And there was zero vegetarian food offered, despite our reservation ahead of time.
The hotel was right on the seafront with its wide sandy beach. Rather a boutique type hotel. Our room was situated under the eaves of the hotel, three floors up rather rickety stairs. We had a great sea view from the bed. Only a couple of restaurants in the area.
Very pleasant and convenient for the beach. The room was a little small. No lift.
A very friendly, helpful staff. Clean room. Convenient for the station (10 minutes max walking even with cases). Great for the beach - there were several families in the hotel. A good restaurant wth unusual and interesting food. Good quality, and quantity, breakfast. A nice little balcony to our room overlooking a quiet street and private gardens with pine trees. Our room was small and, in common with other hotels we stayed in, without drawers - no problem, but you just get that sense that it's a little unhomely. No coffee and tea facilities - hardly a hardship, but something we are now used to in the UK. Expensive breakfast which again seemed to be the case in all the hotels - but we ate well to get our money's worth, and it was good. Restaurant a bit pricey. We felt the holiday season perhaps inflated the prices a bit above what the hotel was worth, but if you aren't too fussed about prices, this was a very nice stay.
Pleasant and helpful staff; magnificent sea view from the room; ideally placed for the huge beach (just over the road); excellent breakfast buffet; sparkling bathroom with big bath towels, comfortable bed. Although there are not many restaurants nearby there are a few in walking distance or the "petit train" runs to and from La Baule up to 9pm or so. Parking close to the hotel was almost impossible, though it is easy to "drop off" people and bags - we parked (free) at Pornichet rail station which is about 4-5 minutes walk. Sea view rooms get a lot of night-time traffic noise unless you close the windows. Restaurant for dinner was expensive & we didn't eat there.
The location is very close to the beach. The restaurant pricey but worth it. Hotel decor could be updated.
A very attractive hotel with very pleasant staff. A comfortable and inviting place to stay. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Good value.
Very quite at night has a comfortable bed and the bathroom is clean and well presented. Breakfast maybe a little small, but I do eat a lot.
Calm and quiet. Friendly staff who accommodated requests quickly and well Breakfast a little expensive at 9 euros, and for this would have expected freshly squeezed juice, maybe fresh fruit
Modern, bright and comfortable. Great for é star...should be 3 parking a bit awkward
Very calm hotel is not far from the beach. The room and the bathroom are spacious enough. The room is carefully decorated.
Good location, interesting room with excellent bathroom facilities. Nice sun roof. Discreet staff. No lift, which might inconvenience elderly guests. Parking no problem in late October, but could be tricky in high season.
Elegant facilities with tasteful decor, very helpful staff.
The silency in the hotel and rooms The small bathroom - all comfort, but just to small to relax
The hotel was good but parking during peak holiday time is a nightmare and you can drive around for ever like most other cars looking for a space.
it is a lovely little hotel beautifully decorated and in a great position for the town centre. I would say this hotel would be great for one night or two but no more as the room we had and bathroom was very small. For one night we could cope but would not have enjoyed it for a week. room no 15
Fantastic will go back but will book directly as despite the implication on your site you gave no discount on the rate
oceanfront room extra cost of oceanfront room, charged 20 euro x 2 people x 2 nights for breakfast we did not have
La chambre bien agencée. La salle de bain très propre et lumineuse. Le staff charmant. Le petit-déjeuner buffet était surpeuplé! Le staff doit encore prendre ses marques pour être plus rapide (hôtel tout neuf) pour servir les clients.
Great location close to town centre and local sights of interest - with easy parking. Staff very helpful
Staff were friendly and ensured you felt most welcome. They really put themselves out. nothing at all
It is a new hotel, which makes a difference. Girls at reception were nice and friendly The double-bed was narrow for our liking. Just 1,35 m wide is rarely seen in other hotels now. Also the top cover was as wide as the bed, so it was easy to get cold if any of us pulled the cover a bit to one side
From the moment we arrived until we left, we were made most welcome. We liked the way the staff treated us as people; calling us by name showed a caring attitude. Indeed, you could change the name from Holiday Inn to welcome inn.
Internet access was great. Loved the fact that the breakfast was included and the breakfast was really good. Loved the design of the hotel. Rooms were small but very comfortable. Excellent value for the price.
the staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel and room were well equipped to a high standard and very clean only that it would be good if there was more choice of english tv channels and tea available at breakfast
It was easy to find and served our purpose well.
Nice hotel, brand new in the centre of Saint Nazaire, very close to the sea (5 minutes) and close to a shoppning centre. Big parking facilities around. Friendly staff.
I requested a hotel with a car park, the hotel has 34 rooms and about 6 parking spaces. We had to park on the public road.
very central - well positioned - good view from verandah bed lacked size and comfort - room lacked comfort - no aids to relaxation
I was overall very impressed with our stay at Hotel Le Christina it has a perfect location overlooking the beach and close to all amenities with free parking at the rear of the Hotel, All staff were very helpfull . I would certainly recommend this Hotel.
In the original advertising on your website - it offered free WiFi service - this is not the case
The location of the hotel right at the heart of La Baule I would have liked to have the facility of having access to the internet on a hotel computer since I didn't take a laptop on holiday
Excellent view of the sea and beach. Not a very comfortable bed.
Staff very helpful
Proximity to beach, with sea view bedroom being essential. Excellent breakfast, good value for money. Nothing
The hotel is ideally positioned in the central of the long (9km!) beach and near some very nice restaurants and shopping area. The hotel staff is very nice and helpfull.Even though the hotel has nothing luxurious it is very clean and has absolutely reasonable prices. Nice add on are the balcony. Some parking spaces are available for free! There where no towels available at arrival day. So we received some tiny little towels on both days...
Holidayed Heating took several days to sort-out
No red wine in hotel at all!
Modern room with good facilities and good wifi. Within walking distance of Guerande. Easy to park, Firedoor outside the room was very noisy and squeaky. Walls very thin so noisy. Shower floor poorly laid so pools collected in the wet room floor.
Staff extremely accommodating and friendly. General facilities, rooms and pool spotless. Nice ambiance. Besides a continental style breakfast there is no catering available. Location a bit isolated.
Excellent, friendly, ideal for us as we travel around playing golf Would definitely us this hotel again. Would have liked a 'fridge in the room to store milk for drinks etc.
staff i did not see an internet cafe (although i did not ask)
The hotel is modern, clean, air conditioned, non-smoking, has English TV stations, buffet breakfast, and free parking. King size bed is comfortable. There was no minibar/fridge in the room. Since the hotel is totally non-smoking, there should be a designated smoking area away from the hotel entry door so that people entering the hotel don't have to walk through clouds of smoke.
staff is very helpful and kind to noisy inside (bedrooms)
New and clean, good full breakfast worth the extra cost, very comfortable beds, rooms. Free parking
the decoration of reception is pretty nice....the room is tidy and comfortable..what most important is the hotel is near to main commerce street and the Beach
Spent a pleasant hour or so in the bar with the owners - we talked about various things including our trip using our pigeon French and their pigeon English - a real joy!! None whatsoever
Pleasant hotel with secure parking. Helpful staff. Excellent next door but one restaurant was very good for both value and food.
The proprietor was extremely friendly adn we felt very comfortable. No
The staff were charming and extremely helpful. The hotel was well situated in the town and only a short walk to the beach. Easy car parking.
Excellent location, private secure car park a big bonus as parking difficult in La Baule. Hotel staff friendly and very helpful. Room was airy and well decorated, very comfortable bed and large screen t.v. Bathroom good with lovely walk in shower. Room was quiet and we slept soundly. Breakfast was very good value. Have already booked to go back to this hotel in October.
Very helpful staff, very comfortable and clean room and excellent breakfast.
Clean and comftorbale rooms. Room was quite small.
Staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean for a budget hotel The hotel is on a busy road which is noisy until late at night
free car park and available
Very friendly staff, excellent location. Bedrooms would be a bit small if you were staying for a number of days.
Breakfast not value for money
Quiet, friendly service
The food was amazing - real french food - a sheer delight and one that you should push for other people like me that enjoy good french food Small room maybe?? No tea/coffee facilities. No air conditioning - fortunately I took a fan with me as July can be very hot.
It was importent to me that the staff was able to speek english, that they were friendly and obliging. No
my grateful thanks to your reception for ther very kind assistance when we arrived early in locating a room
The hotel is located some 50-100 m walk from the beach behind a large apartment building. The area of La Baule itself has only few hotels of 3 stars and above, and this hotel is therefore a suitable choice for a couple of days. Apparently there are no rooms with ocean view. The staff is very friendly, parking costs 10€/day, internet is free.
I liked the fact that the staff made you welcome from the start, nothing was too much trouble for them. By the time you left, you felt like you had made new friends.
The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. They kept an eye on our car whilst we cycled part of the eurovelo 6 route. The toilet is behind a fairly flimsy screen and very close to the bed in the bedroom.
staff are frendly and did the best they could given the fact that building work in the Hotel makes life hard for them. Its fine for the money
staff were friendly and eager to help. the food is basic but acceptable. the hotel is located in the city centre next to shopping and a short walk to the beach and promenade area. Not far from the hotel, there is an interesting attraction in the revitalised dock area which is about life on luxury atlantic cruise liners of a bygone era along with world war two submarines on display. the attraction would suit adults and kids from 7 years up. The town is quite at night and parking is in the street and free. The hotel is basic but would make an unusual overnight en route to final destination elswhere. Bed was clean and fresh but rooms were a little jaded and spartan especialy the accordian doors on the toilet and seperate shower. However for the rate charged no real complaints
