Very friendly hosts. Amazing location! Historic feel and great decor, too. Fresh coffee every morning.
The place definitely needs a little investment in amenities (kettles and fridges in rooms would be nice). Bathrooms need some plumbing work, and the hotel bathroom has all sorts of critters, probably low staffed right now. Some work on ventilation to remove in-room musty smell might go a long way for this historic place.
The staff is amazing and super friendly! Very easy to work with!!
Everything was great! One little thing, if you rely on hotel shampoo and conditioner, it is an all in one that they have so plan accordingly!
Good value near Main St
Owners Jill and Frank were excellent and always helpful. Nice to see an old fashioned quiet decent affordable family run hotel
No elevator No breakfast available on site
Owners efforts to create "lodge" environment - friendly and helpful during our stay!
Noisy - floor above room we were in
Nice old hotel. Rooms are small but cozy. Some facilities need updating. Staff was very friendly and helpful. On premise restaurant was great. Overall a nice place to stay, a good value for Lake Placid, which can tend to be pricey especially in season.
Friendly, clean and value
Family owned quaint inn. Clean and neat that's close to Main Street .
No mini fridge or microwave, so if you have special dietary needs you may want to consider.
Staff could not have been more accommodating. Jill and Frank are keeping alive a piece of history and Classic elegance Reminds you of staying at Grandma's House
The Pines Inn is a cozy place to stay! It's right around the bend on the top of the hill on Main Street, so you're never too far away from the restaurants/bars/gift shops. The staff is friendly and we had no trouble getting to our room. Overall, a good place to stay!
As triathletes, we would have loved a mini fridge in our room. But other than that, no complaints!
